First I want to take the time and thank IgotSpots for rising to the occassion. I have such respect for you. You came here and stepped up and jump and and stayed with it, and never asked for anything, even when it was offered. Im now going to do my part and send my 12Ths to suprnova for 0 block rewards until we get moving. I did update to latest wallet, and I do have a question, do I need to blow out everything in the roaming folder (except wallet.dat), or should I just leave it at block 6000? Whats best Again , Igotspots, you are a true hero!!
Vegas
Not sure if Suprnova is ready yet? Looks like solo mining at the moment.

I have just updated the main post with new wallet.
I will start deleting posts if bagholder from other projects come here to attack mr. spots
Thanks, we really don't need it now when we are trying to coordinate the fix.

If someone opens a pool, i'll donate some hash power
Yes, I can help as well, just not sure where to point miners.

iGotSpots that you very much for rising to the occasion and providing unselfish support to the emoney community. Thanks to Richie from Bittrex for going the extra mile, underlining the Bittrex's commitment to the community without any obligation to do so.
It is wonderful for this community that the plan has come together.
+1 ignore the trolls, thanks!

Dumped like a moose at a ball. shame It is irrelevant. Once the fixes are implemented, the price should recover. Have a look at what happened yesterday when a solution was ready to be implemented - the price suddenly turned around in force. The price went down again when plan B was given a chance first. It is only temporary while everyone waits for the POS block that the price is going down. This is mainly due to the uncertainty of the future of the coin with this approach. The approach is necessary though to give the current dev a chance. The next steps will be discussed by the community after the 48 hours staking test. when will the 48 hour end? When there is consensus. But is there a new wallet that needs to be downloaded to be on the right chain? My wallet won't go higher than block 6000?? I'm just a little confused on what is happening with the coin and the problem with the wallets? If someone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated We have done everything we can, so now we wait. Either the chain starts moving, or it does not, and either way, hopefully Igotspots and Bittrex helps us out. If things work out ,it might actually be worth much more at a later time rather than earlier, so we just need some patience now.

Is this Official SuperNET asset?
Absolutely not, sure that is scam. How do we know it is a scam or a partner of SuperNET trying to help Hz to get more recognition Now I do not know what to do. Do I but in or not mmmmm very confused .... Maybe I should email SuperNET and see if they know anything . than post the reply here........ kprell40 Before investing in any asset you want to check on who is issuing the asset and make sure they are reliable. Igotspots is doing an asset, hero Bitcointalk member, so I can be confident that is likely safe. There is also an asset by someone on the HZ dev team for the new decentralized cryptocurrency exchange being built into Horizon, so again, known people with good reps, quite reliable. If however some anon newbie just makes up an asset, they could be anyone, and people can claim to sell Ethereum and all sorts of things, not only on Horizon, but on the other decentralized exchanges as well. Generally, unless I know for certain who or what company is issuing it, and the numbers all match up, exactly, I just assume it isn't safe.

I just want to thank Igotspots and Richie for offering to help us, and the original dev for working with them too. It is one thing losing money trading, that happens to everyone, but when something technically goes wrong that hurts confidence in the entire alt trading ecosystem. Fixing it restores that, even if people don't have to help, or it isn't their job, the good will is something we need more of. It has been pretty rough for Bitcoin and Alts in the recent past, so again, thanks.

You can pretty much cross Cryptsy off the list if my name is on something
Doesn't matter, already have a couple exchanges. If it does well with volume Poloniex might add it anyway.

new OP has been posted! Looks sharp, great job!

Great interview, a lot of tough questions and solid answers!

Also, since this is called ECASH, I'm going to make it fast as fuck. One minute blocks with a name like that is stupid
nice! you rule!

Yea, once it's on the new chain it will stake the same as BALLS does, but with whatever % you guys want this one to. We can cross that bridge when we come to it
I have the new client ready that will mine 0 reward until block 100,000 (who cares, it'll never get close), just so coins can be moved. I'll wait to post it to hear back from Richie. I'll let it sync up first anyway to see if it accepts block 6001 before I post it, too (that's called testing, original dev)
Once blocks start moving again, it might start staking, I have no idea. We will also need to decide when you guys want the deadline to be to send coins to Bittrex for the swap. Still waiting to hear back from Richie, anyway
Can you do the 8% daily and then change to 8% annually later? That was what I thought was interesting. The combination of short term high interest and then later a more stable interest rate. Although I am just glad you are willing to help, so whatever people want.

My vote is DONT wait it out. Lets pay to have this fixed. If we wait the is certainly more problems headed our way. IF we bounty igotspots to repair, it WILL be fixed right and under his watch, we dont have to worry about some flakey dev taking off. Also once Spots takes control of this coin, the price will go crazy because of the trust factor.
Vegas
If I do fix it, you guys don't have to pay me anything (and the premine would be destroyed). I'll put an address up for the new chain if anyone wants to, but I wouldn't expect anything for it. I don't have any of these now, but a lot of people seem to have a lot invested. I just think the name would make a good addition to GorillaStakeThe community's knight in shining armor.

100% vote for Igotspots and his plan, and I hope the original dev holds some Emoney and profits from it as well. No reason to hate, I think he tried, and it is a great brand name.

(That I already like since it has an asset on HZ)

Guys Igotspots dev got back to me and asked me to post this: For those of you that dont know , he is the dev behind MMXIV, Balls, and 10k coins. He says "If you guys want me to fix this, it would have to be: - A new chain. This one can be fixed, but it's really fucked up and I don't feel like wasting time searching for bullshit
- Premine destroyed. Whatever the premine was, the new chain would generate the current money supply minus premine amount. Community donations and bounties are fine, but premines are not
- Same genesis as MMXIV so I can group it into my merged shit later if I decide to, same as BALLS and 10k are (works fine if you know how to do it)
This would require two updates. First to get the old chain moving again (extend PoW for 0 reward), then an update to the new chain (which would generate current money supply minus premine for the swap). You would need to convince Richie and Bittrex to update twice and escrow the swap so nobody has to trust me to hold their money Or you could just wait it out, it'll probably stake eventually. I think it's messing with stake modifiers, (maturity at 24 hours but wouldn't stake until 8.8 days) but I can't find the switch time so it's really hard to tell what bullshit is actually going on." Sounds good to me, anyone know Bittrex Richie?

As for the general argument of "why save a coin that might be in trouble?", simple, the more bad experiences people have in cryptos, the most likely they are to leave the marketplace and take all of their money with them. Helping people on the other hand earns goodwill, and counters all the ICO scams and other crap many of us had to deal with. We need more people helping each other out and making cryptos stronger, not more people burned out and giving up, and telling others to stay away.

It seems the community has some decisions to make.
1) Wait for the dev to appear and fix the code 2) Ditch the dev and get a third party to fix the code asap. Get a new committed dev. 3) Ditch the coin
A coin dev has a vision and commitment to make something with a coin. A new dev might be just a hired hand that is not necessarily committed to a coin's future. There has been exceptions to this though where a takeover was done successfully.
Due to my risk management strategy I am not materially exposed to emoney that is stuck in my wallet so I am indifferent to the option chosen. If it is going to be a lot of effort to fix the code, to hire a third party for the fix or to get a new committed dev, then it might be best to just ditch the coin and move on. But then there are many who are heavily invested with coins stuck in their wallet and their interests have to be considered as well.
I can lose the money if need be and take option 3), but I don't see the point in that, as I like the branding, a lot is in a name really. (Look at "Darkcoin") I have helped with a coin that started at 9 sats and now is trading at 150 sats. I run a community with 4300 crypto traders, and have over 1 million views on my blog, not a big deal, nor am I bragging, but I can provide some free promotions for the coin. My idea would be just to make it into what it really is anyway, a trading/staking coin, but maybe go all out with that angle instead of some advertising stuff? Maybe that could still work though, if there were a reason for people to use the coin a lot. Staking gambling games or something, a reason people would see the ads? Make it an honest staking coin, we have the premine, we have donations, we already have the Bittrex slot. We have people that want it to work. I can't personally fix the code however, so it does require someone with coding talent that wants to make some profit. use your resources to recruit some talent. we are not derailed yet by any means I loved Blackcoin because Rat4 used to save every freaking POS coin that came out, even outright competitors, just because he could. I guess things are different now, but I will see if anyone I know is interested.

too much has been invest to just abandon...thats stupid. use the premine towards community take over after staking period...simple
Totally agree If something had been invested and turned into something usefull, that would be correct. But right now the argument is just: we have too many bagholders, so we need to fix it. If you don't have any stake in this and don't want to help, that is fine, there are lot of other alts out there and Bitcoin is wonderful. Plenty of us have invested into this, at least a lot of mining time, and we want it to work. Stuff like Asiacoin was infinitely worse and saved, hidden premine dumped. This is just some staking bug.
