1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinT [BT] | X11 | Lucky Stake | POS | BitTrex on: April 29, 2015, 09:42:30 AM
Very close to the 2M crowfonds... will check with dev when everything is ready, i should be able to give a update in 6 hours.
please make it a sling clone that has proven code. and it already has masternodes. and it will probably get more features in the future so the new dev can easily copy future features and just rebrand them.

DEV is keeping the same concept as some members still want to see those lucky blocks as part of the new coin. A sling clone is again a clone... also the hype around those masternodes will be gone soon.

Current amount of coins on C-CEX: 41,045,877.9111494

So it looks like total amount will be around 45M coins what means that the value of the coin will be 45 BTC at 100 sats, 90 BTC at 200 sats, so it looks like we are still pretty ok with the total number of coins.

I am on the team for Horizon and we have 680 million distributed now, and price usually is about 80 sats to 200 sats. So I could easily see BT hitting 200 sats or higher after the swap myself.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinT [BT] | X11 | TAKEOVER THREAD on: April 29, 2015, 09:10:02 AM
Hey guys Smiley

I have watched the whole mess of BitcoinT and the chaos it left behind. Now I saw this thread, and I have a couple of questions to the community - I hope we can have a decent conversation, here.
What I really don't understand is the "why". Why did you consider to do a takeover?

Just to be clear: in my opinion, it's great that the opportunity exists for community takeovers. This way, promising projects can be (or tried to be) saved when the developer, as in this case, bails.
But this coin was still very young. A bigger community could not yet develop around the coin, and - to be honest - when I read the announcement thread, the first question that came into my mind was "what's this coin good for?". It had those "lottery style POS blocks", which other coins have, too. Other than that, I could not find anything innovative, any great functionality, extension of the blockchain or anything that looks in any way promising.

So, I wonder why the efforts were taken to save a project that has so little innovation to offer. I don't want to sound ignorant, but I'll ask my question anyway: is this an effort for holders to get a last chance to exit without kissing the whole spent money goodbye? Or is there more to it?

Would be nice if anyone can join the conversation. Maybe I have just overseen aspects which make it really worth continuing - any enlightenments in this direction would be highly appreciated.
Please don't misunderstand this post as fud or anything negative. I'm trying to stay objective and neutral while trying to understand the reasoning behind this.

Anyway, best wishes and good luck for the community takeover, whatever the reasons are. Smiley

I actually liked the coin a lot, so I think it is worth saving, sure I want to save my investment, but I have much bigger investments elsewhere and this is more about making it successful as a challenge than saving a couple BTC. Most alts are not Bitcoin competitors. There is Ripple and a couple others, then the rest are just trade coins and the value is entirely subjective, I think I will throw up if I see another CRAVE clone for example, they bore me now. This was a fun trade coin with massive popularity and volume before we got screwed over. Since it is trading on C-CEX, rather than dump my bags, I bought a bunch more. Lucky block staking is fun, sort of like gambling, or mining by staking, and I think it would be fun to revive and save it. The current price is so low there is potential for some serious profit now, and it will be infinitely safer than any random new coin that might have some scam dev making it. Safer and with solid potential upside, and fun. Maybe nothing much will come of it, but it could also evolve into a successful trade coin. Stranger things have happened!
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Scam's Exchange: C-CEX on: April 29, 2015, 06:03:10 AM
An ICO for "007" Come on, even if it were successful, impossible, they would have to change their name to "Spycoin" - Brand heists of real brands are all doomed. Avoid scam ICOs and take away the profit motive for them to exist.

Total deposit: 1,470,272 BT coins.

Coin should be ready today. Lets try to get around 2,000,000 BT coins, i believe that this is not too much for the person that help us out of the ....

DEV has been working on coins like THC.

i don't like lucky staking

please make it a $SLING clone

It is not a clone of SLING, it is based on the original concept.

CRAVE clones are way overdone at this point, the Lucky Blocks is actually more original.

1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HZCHRONOS] Horizon HZ Asset - 1583 Colored Coins - Crypto Service Asset on: April 28, 2015, 10:42:22 AM
Since I have been annoyed at devs with no vision or confidence in their projects, for years now, I put up a huge safety net at the initial buy in price. That means people have a choice to cash out and break even, not lose a cent, or stay in and see what happens! The greed and lack of vision in cryptos, and overall lack of creativity, I find disturbing, HZchronos is different.

Not sure if you know this or not but everyone uses roadmap/timeline templates. It's why companies exist solely to provide them. You're a promoter you should not FUD coins. You are better than that.

Huh where is fud, where I said something bad? My question was about roadmap.
Do I need to be silent, afraid to ask any question to avoid panic chickens? Lol.

Damn, I feel in future question about countdown will be fud.

I don't see any FUD. I mined and bought a few. Some of us are edgy after BT, but this coin might be great, who knows? Best to just stay diversified and keep investments in new coins small.

How to mining  Huh Roll Eyes

No mining for this one as it is a digital asset, you can only buy and sell it. Although I love mining and I am a miner myself.

1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To All Altcoiners. Cease Fire. Stop the Shilling, the FUDs, Scams, etc... on: April 28, 2015, 12:43:20 AM
The reason there are so much fuds is because many of the altcoins are scam.
There are many people who lost their btc in all the scam altcoin. They are frustrated and are jealous of the few promising altcoins.

The real reasons is there is limited BTC to go around and competition is fierce, and FUD is also a shady way to create a dip to buy in -- Protecting people from scams is about the last thing on any of their minds, and since everything gets labeled "SCAM," people ignore the warnings when they are real and they should be paying attention.

1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinT [BT] | X11 | Lucky Stake | POS | BitTrex on: April 28, 2015, 12:15:40 AM
UPDATE:

1. If community agrees DEV can have a coin ready by tomorrow.

2.  C-CEX open their wallet so that everybody can deposit coins to their wallets on C-CEX.

3. C-CEX will create a donation wallet so that all people deposit their donation into that address

4. Launch of the new coin can happen tomorrow

Coin specs:

1. Premine block = C-CEX coins amount.

2. Fully POS - reward 5% per year.

DEV will receive 50% of all coins deposit in the deposit address.

Other 50% will be split over the new marketing team.

Can we somehow get the lucky blocks with the swap? That was sort of the key value issue for it. A straight up 5% a year coin is not as interesting. Is the lucky block stuff complicated?

DEv is looking into the lucky block stuff, it is certainly possible to achieve this. Will cost him a little more work, but i believe the bounty looks nice and how better the result how higher the coin price.

Agree--the Lucky Block portion is what prompted me to get in on the coin.  Those additional possible rewards is what provides the incentive to keep those larger quantities staking in your wallet addresses and the total was not that high for each 24-hour period assuming those were accurate.  Even if you lost the larger blocks (60K and 15K), kept the 5K and perhaps added 1K and 10K blocks, it would make the coin more valuable to hold in the larger quantities to catch one of those blocks.

The staking rewards without the additional incentive does not provide a lot of difference from other staking coins.  Believe it's important to keep those rewards and perhaps create more frequent lower-level versions to give more people a chance.  Being able to stake and get lucky with one of the larger blocks will reduce the immediate urge to sell as soon as the coin is listed again.

P.S.  If we don't keep some version of the lucky blocks, I'm taking back half of my donation!   Wink

We definitely need the lucky blocks. I think some will just dump anyway, but the layers of incentive will also incentivize others to buy in and pick up more. Any straight POS would just get dumped.
