381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeuCoin - Easy to use, free to try, focused on micropayments - Official on: April 23, 2015, 06:28:55 PM
lol
If your small group of buddies with the 97% of all coins plan on staking (and they of course will) your blockchain isn't trustworthy as pure pos with 97% in the hand of an ingroup makes this thing 100% tustbased and the blockchain too.
POS with 97% with an ingroup is no trustless or secure solution for a coin. This can never go beyond a worthless tipping coin. I'd say fair valuation of this (after hype) should be between 50k$ and 1.5mln$ in the markets of today from all i can see taken everything like inflation (pos interests 100%), ipo and all in account. (just my opinion)
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: April 23, 2015, 06:04:38 PM
It's a strange feeling when I see the words: "wanna buy Uno cheap "

I want cheap Un to. But that some how is a ugly picture for Un. Or not going to happen if to be realistic.
More cheaply than that man? Fiat is cheap and BTC is cheap. But how cheap we can wait to by? If the btc go dumped to 20$ i am sure still gonna be guys that waiting to drop to 20cents and on and on
I think the best time to buy :always now... Grin and later if btc go more cheap buy dabble.
Don't get me wrong But good luck buying Uno under .01 , maybe som dust yea who knows? To much hyenas waiting for that moment. Did I need to waiting to? Sorry but don't think so . Good luck again to all Wink

That's right. 0.01 is still big bargain. It was very much oversold before from 2014 action. 0.01 is good profit for people who bought early (profittakers of last weeks) but in the bigger picture 0.01 is still very cheap especially with fiat anticipated to not be so bullish this year. I think if it dips below 0.01 it'll really just be a short moment (if it even does). Enough buyers down there. Would need some serious, serious dumps to keep it lower. Uno has good buoyancy normally.  Wink
Low volatility can be boring for traders sometimes but that's what the world expects from a currency actually.  Wink
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: April 23, 2015, 05:07:29 PM
@Gekko

Me, Angela or Johnny? Maybe Jack Daniels that night then instead Wink
I know what you mean. All the *bling, bling* and the excitement of some. But then again go over and look at ziftrcoin and paycoin again and see how their price developed. Then maybe recall syscoin IPO and all these things.
I also do have nothing for or against it. Just watching passively.
For me a coin starting at low price and distributed with pow (like UNO, LTC, BTC, ...) and then real pricediscovery gives me an entry at ground level, fair with everyone else (no angle or seed investor 75% discount for large marketshares before it goes on exchanges and backroom deals and all that). If i buy Uno at 450k$ cap and it goes to 15 mln i'll have BIG profit. If i buy NC at 15mln cap it needs to go to almost 1 billion cap to give me same returns. That's how i am thinking at least. (is it more likely Uno receives 15 mln or is it more likely NC receives 800 mln ?)
And Uno does not double number of coins next 365 days like that other coin plans on doing. Now sell those coins to everyone for 15 to 30 mln and then after first 4 weeks of hype see that gravity crush them (100% pos interest 1st year). Let's look at that market after that first year and let's see how raped it is from everyone cashing out (especially the seed and angleguys with their big discounts and pos interest payments and the premine/fund pos interest (!)).
Sure, Uno does have less hype BUT it still has the better numerical metrics and probably will also be able to hold its value better and more stable for the next 10 years (taking into account volatility caused by pos-inflation).  Hype also almost certainly comes back down again, creating bubbles in the markets and they pop, making any longterm plans look bad. So "hype" and "longterm plans" are contradictions actually.

What makes me giggle a little in this case is that they repeat mistakes that have been made many times before.

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
(quote Einstein)

Technically that coin likely brings nothing (or not much) new to the table. Just maybe a more professional team but that's about it. In NC you invest more in the team and their vision of marketing than you actually do into the tech/coin.
But enough of my scepticism now. Maybe it turns out to be a good investement in the end of the day, maybe not. We'll watch it Smiley

@uno price
Gekko want to buy lower? If they dump, i'll buy too. I can sit here waiting for all these bears to give away their coins, no problem. They appear weaker now than what they were earlier, no? Todays dump was more like a lonely bear lost on a plain somewhere, unsure about his own judgement. One lost bear isn't such a big deal. It's one of the later ones. The young bears all were jumping last weeks off the cliff. This one must be a bit older and slower.  Grin I think we are actually now only waiting for the old and slow last bears to go over the edge before it starts drying up. And, right, there were some great updates on the roadmap which can turn out to be good for the price, so why sell before the hashrate goes up 10 to 100 times? When the MM updates are coming along as planned more buyers will likely enter the market (the cautious money on the sidelines). My 2 cent estimate (nothing to rely on however). I'm not concerned at the markets at all right now. Cheaper price and more Uno for me would be nice but if not, that's fine too so i just need to hold the ones i have a little stronger. That's ok too. Which ever way it goes i'm happy.

@promi
cheers Smiley

They did announce here.

At the very least, Jackson Palmer has discussed his involvement in Reddit.

http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/33hdvo/feedback_needed_neucoin_distribution_to_dogecoin/

I have no reason to doubt the others as it's been pretty well covered in the press and somebody would have denied it.

They have not posted their source code.

All of the other points you made are valid.

I have decided to enter cautiously with $1000

.
25% at the IPO
25% at the launch (or I might dump at launch)
50% after the initial dump.

Then I will hold onto and stake and forget about it for 10 years.

It seems more like a bond than a stock.

True, they announced here.
Too early for me to decide on any longterm positions. Maybe i'll daytrade a swing or two before the network starts making trouble.  Wink
Watching from a distance for now.  Smiley

I don't mind paying a little more for reduced risks later in case it's going places. I'm waiting for the people to investigate and dig up all the scammy things and cosmetic faults like they always do.

I'll decide if i want to buy the first fud-wave later or not  Wink
In 14 days there will be a thread or two here at altsection explaining to you why neucoin is a scam. (quaranteed this thread will appear, it always does)
I'm deciding after reading that future scam-accusation-thread  Wink
(trying to keep risks minimal)

Thanks for pointing out Gekko, definitely interesting to watch.

edit: @neucoin - at the very least 15 million $ cap at launch. So we are buying this at a cap of 15 mln with a 50%+ premine just because of promises and some team members? Really?

Here is your delivery of popcorn  Wink

wow! 86% for them! And a HUGE 3% of the coins for the 'cryptocommunity' to buy in presale. How nice! Hahahaha.

Let's buy Marinecoin too!!! lmao
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeuCoin - Easy to use, free to try, focused on micropayments - Official on: April 23, 2015, 10:22:36 AM
smells like XPY

Will you stake your huge premine too? Probably you will ...
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: April 23, 2015, 09:17:45 AM
Sombody just took a huge dump into the .01033 buy wall on Cryptsy.

Does anyone have any thoughts on Neucoin? http://www.neucoin.org/en/

At first glance POS (as in piece of shit AND Proof of Stake) pre-mined + IPO coin (28 April).

At second glance, lots of big names. Angel funded and nobody in it is anonymous.

Jackson Palmer.  Executives from über, Facebook, candy crush...

I am conflicted.  It is the opposite of why we like Uno, yet I have a strange desire to own some at the IPO.

your red flags:
-huge premine
-no ANN at this forum
-read fineprint on "democracy"
-IPO
-shit name
-huge POS interest (no need to hurry, there will be plenty of endless dumping for the next 10 years)

I'll buy novacoin or nautiluscoin before that.

Do they provide any proof for their claims of partnerships?
Their premine will be staking too, right? If so it's not only a bad deal for investors in case the interest from the premine will be sold, additionally the blockchain isn't even trustworthy. I think they didn't announce here because too many questions they prefer not to answer right now. I have seen this whole thing somewhere before  Cheesy

Personally not buying this but thanks for the intel. Good luck to you guys who plan on buying in.

@dump
Looks like a bear attack to me with the goal of rebuying lower. Risky business.  Cheesy
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: April 17, 2015, 10:44:24 AM
Are there any news about merge mining? Do we need to update?
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: March 31, 2015, 06:27:37 AM
Lookin' up 'falling-wedge pattern' as we speak. (Wanna understand all this.)

m

In bulltrend continuation pattern. Could/should break out of the triangle to the upside sooner or later (once sellers are exhausted).

Looking at it like this (so from my point of view we are still in the pattern):

Normally you have lower volume in the wedge, it takes many weeks to form, tradingrange is becoming smaller, has bullish bias. All the hallmarks of the falling wedge.

Maybe we test support and resistance lines another one or two times. In case it breaks out to the upside later it would be a classical daytrader buysignal pattern.

My 2 cent TA  Wink

variation of bullflag

daytraders 101 Wink

about volume, this fits our case here too:

In case this comes true i'd expect it to take us to mid 0.03 or maybe even 0.04
In case we are lucky it could be a fractal to maybe repeat on higher level again later says my crystal ball.  Cool But that's far in the future. Personally waiting now for breakout later, when sellers finally give up. Shouldn't be that much longer.

This is no trading advise of course.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: March 31, 2015, 01:14:41 AM
Does this thing we're in since early february qualify as falling wedge pattern?  Smiley

I was pretty amazed how fast joulecoin confirmes. It's a forgotten gem.  Wink
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: March 26, 2015, 11:04:32 PM
looking at CMC:

Ziftr coin below Uno already. Wasn't that hot last week?
Even Primecoin, Megacoin, Quark, Worldcoin, XC, Feathercoin and what not. All slipped down. It's a tragedy.
At this rate all we need to do is hold the value and 8 months from now even LTC and BTC slip down past Uno  Roll Eyes
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: March 25, 2015, 11:44:02 PM
I'd vote for black logo. Looks more royal and expensive. But blue is the original. I'm ok with both. Maybe we can get a darker blue?
In case we go with a darker blue, please take care so it does look clean.

I'd vote dark blue, ultramarine, royal blue, international klein blue or midnight blue or something like it  Cool

something in between the 10s to 60s maybe?  Wink
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCO] Xcoin | PoS | No Premine & No IPO on: March 20, 2015, 10:05:38 AM
first time for months i bought into a new coin.
Well, as expected i am down 70% in less than a week. So that's that from me. I'm done with new coins again. Good luck with more launches.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CorgiCoin (CORG) - Come strut with us! Now on CoinedUp! on: March 18, 2015, 11:12:43 PM
why not move to some alive coin?

because those are dead and abandoned too once you bought in and then scum like you are on the thread again asking that same question.

Bump.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: March 18, 2015, 02:13:22 PM
I am being asked how "heavy" the blockchain is.  Anyone know how to answer that?

right now it uses 422 MB to store the full blockchain on my computer - far less than Doge, LTC or BTC and most other chains.
So the UNO rockchain is lightweight in comparison, which i think is great for the users.

Give-a-way at Doge reddit is a great thing btw.  Wink
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: March 11, 2015, 02:41:52 AM
Support in the 90s is strong. I think we won't break that. I'm not convinced we'll see any longterm bear things. Not at all convinced. Can snap back easy.

igotspots = max kaiser = max guevara = moonmoon = igotaids = come from above = come from beyond = balu2 = forlackofabettername = Gavin = Willow Rosenberg = Spoetnik = JohnJoule = Aliens

now wait for it: everyone who supports merge mining is a scammer or the same person. Everyone who actually buys coins at all is a scammer! Silvermetal is a funny account.
Buying low and selling high is scamming for him! Creating more than one (successful) coin is also scamming for him (if that even is the case here, i don't know).
Braindamage!
