381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another health benefit of online gambling on: February 06, 2024, 02:00:39 AM
I can't accept that gambling has health benefits but its overall harmfulness and imbalance in society. A gambler can never be socially perfect as there is a possibility for him to create turmoil in a family and commit various social crimes and misdeeds. A family never expects anything good from a gambler but always he starts causing financial disaster to the family as well as relationships.
Well, you have some point but you are wrong. Because if you are right, can we imagine what will happen to these millions of gamblers around the world? Gambling is not as bad as you think, only when you are heavily addicted to it. I was a gambler, I don't have any health issues or misunderstandings with my friends, relatives, and family - our relationships are good.

So my friend, don't generalize gamblers. Some have suffered negative results but some also are enjoying life as a gambler. Because as long as you are doing this for fun, there is no problem but if you consider this as an earning tool, that is a different story.
382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: As a trader never settle for less on: February 05, 2024, 09:31:18 PM

Most rich trader today keep this phase “ The pursuit of excellent is the bests “ so as I young trader don’t always see yourself as someone who is weak and lazy always sand strong in getting what you want at a best level.

Perhaps, you will never succeed if you are weak. Rich or poor, A trader must not carry fear inside but should be a risk-taker. As we want to reach our goal, then we also have to show that we are capable and strong enough to get it --that is supposed to be the mindset of a beginner. Yeah, always on pursuit of excellence and it is not impossible if we work hard, stay motivated, and of course, go straight to our goal.

This is not just for rich people but for everyone. If we have a positive mindset, achieving our target is not impossible so, we have to neglect the negative side and remain focused on our purpose.
383  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: February 05, 2024, 05:42:00 AM
As a gambler, having a steady income can certainly have its disadvantages. Gambling is inherently uncertain and risky. While you may have a steady income for a period of time, there is no guarantee that it will continue. Your income can fluctuate drastically, leading to financial instability.

It could only be too risky if you can't handle yourself. If you have a steady income and you are gambling more than you can afford to lose or without a limit, eventually you'll struggle financially. However, there's a higher risk when you are gambling without stable income, as that demonstrate how irresponsible you are, you can't afford to gamble and yet you force to do the biggest mistake as a gambler.

Sometimes, when people makes mistake like this, they tend not to accept their mistake, instead, they'll blame gambling for it, and that's the reason why gambling look bad on some when it's just an entertainment in reality.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are these P2P crypto platforms SCAM? on: February 04, 2024, 10:44:33 PM
All of them are working on OP but dealing with the P2P feature is quite different as it already involves 3rd-party which they don't have full control over them. Just like other sites, P2P can be a scam but it doesn't mean that site itself is a scam, it is just the person we communicate with. That is why we also have to take a look at the review because, in other platforms like Binance, there is a rating to review if that person is having a bad performance.

What I can say OP is that you have to careful and it is better to use the site/platform that you were usually used. Trying a new one is not a bad idea but you have to be careful.
385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run begun ? on: February 04, 2024, 08:00:06 AM
there are people that only believe in altcoins mate and we cannot blame them because of the high price of bitcoin.
and also most of them are greedy people that wanted to become rich easily.

It's true that the majority of people like cheap ones, but it's clear that it's very risky. I think they are just looking for other fortunes and there are times when their hobby is looking for their own challenges Grin Grin.  BTC has answered everyone about what will last and what won't, whether it's old coins or those that have just arrived on the exchange, but the choice of investment is still in each person's hands.
Considering that the majority of cheap coins are shitcoins, I don't think it was a good idea to make a fortune with them. I'd rather buy Bitcoin and old coins that possess profit potential even if the price is high at least I have some assurance to make a profit. Because even if the market turn to bullish, we can't expect these shitcoins to go along with the hype instead, it remains on the bottom.

If we can afford to take risks, then we make sure that we are also investing in the right projects. Price will matter but I see the potential of the project is very important to look at.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: February 02, 2024, 02:29:38 PM
If they are not sponsored by a gambling sites, than they are more trustworthy, but what is the ROI of this guy? You can find online some sites, where you can buy tips from so called experts who claim to have a positive ROI year after year. I have been tempted to buy it to try it out, but it can be pretty expensive.
I wouldn't believe them even if they're sponsored of a casino. They can typically chase the clout and say like that to make it look that they're not sponsored and want people to believe their picks as their own. It is just so much better that you will not listen to nobody as this is your money on the line and aren't you sure that you would believe their predictions? We're done to that era when we're too gullible listening to predictions whether they're baseless or not.
I agree that there is no guarantee that predictions will always be correct. If the advice of others is wrong then a lot of things go around in the mind and can have a significant effect on the brain resulting in depression anxiety and other mood disorders. Better not to trust other people's information especially for gambling. Analyzing yourself will make it easier to learn something new.
A lot of gamblers claim they are expert and new gamblers make-believe it. They put the bet following this expert but they just lose in the end. Asking why?
Winning in gambling doesn't come with just prediction but luck...Even though we have been gambling for many years, it was not an assurance that can be right. Even playing cards the whole life, you can master it but not win all the time.

If we just gamble, better to trust ourselves rather than follow these self-proclaimed experts as they can be wrong just like us. So there is no difference in using our knowledge and personal analysis.
387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has never pass ATH before halving but it has always dip don't panic. on: February 02, 2024, 01:46:13 PM
After failing the expectation from ETF approval, people then wondered if the halving would be able to raise the price of Bitcoin.

But I have never felt any worries about it because since I experienced halving, the market never fails our expectation but it brings the price to another ATH after. Panic is just the result of our doubtful minds, so why not change it and believe that the price of Bitcoin will soon rise? In fact, it was shown and proven already that it has risen after halvings in the past years. But if we are an impatient person, negative thinking is always on our minds and it influences our decisions and market views.

388  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please I don't know if anyone can help me out of this on: February 02, 2024, 01:11:00 PM
Your available balance which is $3 is the only Bitcoin you have. Just forget the extra $3 because you can't withdraw or use it.

Keep checking your wallet because is some other days that dust $3 can't be found. Though I have not encountered such an issue but of course, we will wonder why it increases knowing that we don't do anything or buying/deposit transactions. If not a bug, it is a scam but to be safe, don't make a deal with someone who claims about it instead, have it verified with the Trust Wallet support.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 02, 2024, 03:03:38 AM
Nice game between the Knicks, who has the longest winning streak right now, against a tough Pacers at Knicks homecourt.

Pacers started hot and taking the lead, but the Knicks comes back in the 4th quarter and now leading by just 2 points but there is a challenge call by the Pacers. But we will see, it might be go into overtime for all we know.

Current score: 98-96 Knicks leading.

Pacers can't bea the Knicks despite they have a good start, I guess they were up 16 points early and Knicks slowly came back and in the end the Knicks were able to keep their winning streak. Without Randle and OG is not a problem for them as everyone are willing to step up, as long as Brunson is playing, Knicks will continue to play competitively.
390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Believe, "Passive Investors Make More Than Active Investors?" on: February 02, 2024, 02:49:16 AM
I've been watching many YouTube videos on how to make lots of money through day trading.
Those videos are quite impressive and compelling.
They are quite impressive and compelling indeed but not all of them are real, many are manipulated to attract people to trade.
Have these people become rich already because of trading?
Quote
However, I've read what Warren Buffet (an American businessman and philanthropist, widely considered the most successful investor of the 20th century) thinks about short-term investing, which is quite negative.
By the way, he also thinks BTC has no intrinsic value and cryptocurrency is just gambling.

They can be both profitable passive and active investors because they have their strategies as well. But for some instances, passive investment gives more yet, it will take a longer time to wait before we can harvest rewards like Real Estate where it takes years to develop.

Well, we could also consider the passion of the investor and the way they manage their investments. They can be long-term or short-term but what matters the most is choosing the right investment even in the crypto space - Bitcoin or altcoins.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: February 01, 2024, 09:35:10 PM
I must say that the way OP offers to gamble has logic, but there is always some "but" Cheesy It is nice that he has set a gambling budget for himself. But I am not 100% sure he could resist temptation not to place an all-in bet. When a person looses 2-3 times in a row with 1.00-1.01-1.00 bets, his hand automatically moves to all-in button, because "It is impossible I will lose with next bet". That is human nature. Imho it is better not to learn how and when to bet, or think about strategy to use, but learn how to stop at proper time.

It's a good a strategy and would probably limit his losses. I don't know his actual gambling budget but that 1% is too small and some people will be definitely tempted to bet more when they lose that amount. One thing to push us to this action is the tendency to feel the pain of losses very strongly than the pleasure we are supposed to gain from gambling. I will disagree with you on the last part thou because gambling without strategy is like gambling blindly without vision.  Strategy is not a guarantee of winning a game but at least, it a prove that you make attempts to make things work but it doesn't end as you planned if it fails. The strategies you employ is one thing that makes gambling entertaining, leaving everything to luck is not ideal Imo. What is more ideal is to stop for a while when the strategies are not working in your favor.
1% with your overall income to be spend out on gambling? this is something that would really be recommended since this would really be pertaining about that discipline which it is always that right
on the time that you would really be dealing up with gambling because if you do find yourself on spending up more % or big allocation or deduction on your salary just to play gambling. You would
really be putting up yourself on such trouble once you do have those huge losses. This is why it would really be that best that you should be having in control. Yes, 1% might be that small
but if this is the only way that you could really be able to avoid yourself on not to spend that much with gambling then better do it. Just make it sure that you
wont really be that getting addicted along the way.
Honestly, it was not recommended but a choice for someone. Although we could think that 1% is a small percentage, how about the poor people who only have a small salary? For rich gamblers, that doesn't just matter, it was just a penny for them. But it should be this way, only gamble the excess money.
It would not be wrong if we could gamble more as long as it never compromises our finances but the usual problem is that most gamblers had put their lump some of the money into gambling hoping for luck and fortune which ended up emptying their pocket and even committing loans.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the challenges people who accept bitcoin face in their businesses face on: February 01, 2024, 09:00:22 PM
Perhaps, the common issue is why some many businesses are not accepting Bitcoin yet;
 - volatility
 - high transaction fees
 - confirmation delays (that matters on the fees)

Of course, we can't afford to pay $3 - $10 for every transaction while we can do it free with fiat money. Until now, it was still far from realization to consider Bitcoin as a currency because even those who accepted it already can prove that only a few users are using this. We can say the comfort is there but the fees are not worth enough, unless it getting back like many years ago where it was just cents.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 01, 2024, 01:43:47 PM
I honestly didn't expect Bulls to lose last night but I must admit I've been underestimate Raptors so big that I had the impression they are one of the worst teams in NBA right now but clearly they are don't and I won't ignore them any longer.

I could also say this about Jazz but this team always had swings between great and bad games...

Although Toronto was better than itself and trailed 63-53 in the first half, it won the match 107-118, a result that could be considered a surprise. Chicago beat Charlotte on the road a day later. (110-117)
Toronto had 1 win and 1 loss in its 6-game away series. It will be away at Houston on February 3. Alperen Şengün's form is very good in Houston. If Toronto wants to win, they must first stop Alperen, otherwise it will be very difficult.

I'm not favoring the Raptors on that match. Houston Rockets are coming from a loss at home against the Pelicans, they'll surely find a way to bounce back. Although the Raptors surprised the Chicago, I think it will not happen again this time on a team that has a 17-9 record at home. Alperen maybe their top scorer, but there's more players that needs to be limited too since this team is now playing with great teamwork, remember that they beat the Lakers before they lose to the Pelicans on the save venue.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 01, 2024, 01:18:42 PM
And the Finals is now set.  Magnolia didn't give Phoenix another chance as they finish the series in 4.

As per schedule, the first game will be tomorrow at 6:15 pm, this is quite early for a finals, so let's arrive home early to be able to watch this.
Betting lines are as follows;

SMB -1.5
Magnolia +1.5

over/under (no line yet).

This looks like a trap. I will not take it right away, if the line will move in favor of SMB like going to -3.5, then that would mean people are betting on SMB while will make Magnolia more attractive for the smart money. If the line turns out to be line that, I might take the moneyline for Magnolia, this is an early game, it will not favor the popular team. Just my thoughts though.  Smiley
395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Trends Among Beginner Traders on: February 01, 2024, 05:52:50 AM
There are many differences between trading with a demo account and trading with your real account. A dollar loss in a demo account does not affect the mind. But if the real dollar of the real account is a loss, then a different effect takes place in the mind. Which is enough to demoralize a new trader. So I would say newbies should not learn trading from any social media. Do market analysis yourself and get maximum learning with your own demo account.

Learning the lesson the hard way will make you more strong and dedicated to your work. When it's your money on the table and you are losing it then you will put more effort into perfecting your skills and learning from your mistakes. So it will be better to use real money instead of demo balance but if you are a beginner then use 1% of your portfolio so that your portfolio won't feel the pain for the losses you will take by making all the mistake. Trust me this is the fastest way to skillup and i know this because i have gone through this.
Actual trading helps us feel what is trading all about and may help us understand why we should need knowledge and skills. Mistakes are a part of our trading journey, nobody is perfect even old-timers. If we put "mistakes" as a reason to be afraid of moving forward, I don't think we need to pursue our trading career. Because it just simply means that we never trust ourselves and the lack of confidence will bring nothing but just a nowhere directions. If we can dare to take risks, then we are prepared to commit mistakes as well.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin an opportunity like land on: February 01, 2024, 03:02:10 AM
Both are investments that are very worth having, Bitcoin and land both have good potential for the future, the price will continue to grow and provide large profits in the long term. Having both is the dream of most Bitcoin investors, of course they also need land to build all the necessary facilities.
Land is a versatile investment but requires care or maintenance costs such as annual taxes. In my place, land investment is considered the most profitable apart from crypto assets, land can produce results if it is cultivated with plants that provide regular results in the long term. You can invest safely and increase the investment amount periodically if the land investment can produce results.
I will agree that land investment is quite profitable in the long run especially when it is located in urban areas where their value is fast growing, it can be more profitable compared to Bitcoin if possible. Aside from that, it assures us, unlike crypto investment where it was still uncertain even though Bitcoin established a reputation already. Well, the cost and maintenance needed in acquiring land is huge unlike Bitcoin but it doesn't matter a lot as long as we are secured. If I only had millions, I'd choose real estate over Bitcoin but unfortunately, I'm not capable of it which is why I choose the investment that suits me.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe visiting a seer or spiritual house could make you win a game? on: January 31, 2024, 08:48:37 PM
It is just a belief and whether it is true or not, I respect those people who visit the place. But never have tried it and there is only one thing I believe in gambling --if we are too lucky, we win. May this kind of spiritual belief be effective in other things but in gambling, I couldn't think about it. Maybe because I just entertaining myself in gambling, not like others who are in the chase of winning and they do anything to make it happen.

I know most of us know our standing in gambling, luck is what we need, not these spiritual beliefs but yeah, it depends if you trust this than having a piece of luck. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with that.
398  Economy / Exchanges / Re: All my savings on BKEX are gone. on: January 31, 2024, 08:12:34 PM
Hello everyone, since May 29th, 2023 I have not been able to access my account in BKEX Exchange because the exchange has blocked all trading for all customers. To date there is no information or update about what is happening with our money and whether we will get it back one day or not. I think we would be cheated. There are supposedly companies on Twitter that can restore the coins and transfer them back to the responsible victims. My wife is it possible and can these people be trusted? Has anyone ever heard of this company TECHGUARDFORT SERVICES (Twitter: @Techguardfort3)?

Sad to say that you are dealing with the wrong site and making a deposit without knowing the legitimacy of this site. And the big mistake is that you consider the exchange wallet as your storage wallet. Maybe if you are active in the forum, you will be guided and have ideas about the things you did in the past and save you from losing your money. And now that was gone already, it can be forever as the BKEX couldn't give you back for that long. Even using reputable exchange was not recommended for it.

Well, tried to communicate with their support but not to those people who ask for money in exchange for their services - they will just scam you.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 31, 2024, 01:22:18 PM
Game 5 will start in less than 30 minutes.

The opening point spread is.

Magnolia -7.5 vs Phoenix +7.5,.. Currently it's down to 6.5
The total is 180.5 over/under

My bet is Magnolia -6.5 as I'm hoping that they will end the series tonight and that they'll be able to dominate the Phoenix for the first time. At least no more big come back from big deficit for Magnolia.

Same with you I'm also thinking of under as Magnolia needs to dominate Phoenix and not to let them to be more aggressive like what happened last game 3, they need to work with their defense where they are really good, they just need to rotate and use their every advantages to secure the win, let see what are the adjustments from both teams.

Fuelmaster will try to push this to a do-or-die game while Magnolia will try to finished it and have some rest before the finals.

It's a game of adjustment, Magnolia loss last game due to their huge mistakes, that would not happen again tonight, maybe if they'll lose but it will be a close game but they'll likely win here as they are more experience and more deserving to be in the Finals. Like what we have expected, Magnolia started with a 10-0 before Phoenix made their first bucket, but as we had witnessed in the past few games, no big lead is safe and there's still plenty of time left, so we can only guess now.
Magnolia can't pull away, I hope this is not a de javu of game 3 so the series will be done tonight. End of first half, Magnolia made the Phoenix struggle on their shooting as they are now below 30%. Magnolia 49 - Phoenix 38.

Live betting lines.

Magnolia -10.5
over/under 179.5.

Quote
Since both are well rested, I'm expecting a highly defensive team, so it should go under 180.5.
Last 3 games outcome.
Quote

game 1 79-82
game 2 78-82
game 3 103-85

If this will be a close game then it will be a low scoring game.

This is not a close game but there's still 2 quarters. And just like the last 2 games, Phoenix were able to come back, so let's see if they'll make it again tonight.
400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You can not win if you do not risk on: January 31, 2024, 05:33:13 AM
It is just like the same --you can win anything in life if you are afraid to gamble. But yes, we can do it with some limitations because not all things are achievable as it also depends on our capabilities.

What is important is knowledge and money --if we have money we can perform our plans, if we have money we can gamble. What I mean is that, make sure that we gamble having our money, not from others. In the case of losing, there is nothing to worry about paying someone. And much better to consider gambling as our pastime, not our source of income. If we can spend a lot of money, we better spend it on things that give us sure returns, not just luck.
