    42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust bitcoin holders? on: May 18, 2024, 09:11:42 AM
    Trust is a personally issue for different people. I'll give you example, there's a person that holds Bitcoin and is the most reputable guy in your relatives or friends. And there's this guy who's not into Bitcoin but isn't trusted by anyone by his family, relatives and friends.
    And that's why it is a relevant subjective issue that you're bringing to whom should be trusted.

    There are trustworthy people that are into Bitcoin community and there are those that you can't simply trust because they're scammers and does things illegally. That's why this question is a matter of the person you're talking to and the one you're dealing with. Whether someone is a bitcoin holder or not, if that guy is reputable, you'll trust him. Otherwise, if he does things against to the community and to other people then regardless of being a holder or not, they won't be trusted.
    43  Economy / Economics / Re: Marketing Strategies in the Digital Age on: May 17, 2024, 11:58:05 PM
    It cannot be denied that in this day and age, digital marketing is very effective as a marketing strategy. As technology continues to develop and the use of digital technology increases throughout the world, it allows advertisers to reach consumers more efficiently, effectively and on target. However, to achieve optimal results, a good digital marketing strategy and plan is needed as well as a good understanding of how to measure success in marketing a product.
    Very much effective, before we have the print and television commercials that were very expensive at all. But thanks to the innovation of technology and we're now having these kinds of marketing through them in a cheaper and greater way. Why greater? because most of the population nowadays are in the internet and if you're going to use and pay them for your marketing, you'll get to target the actual market that you are about to penetrate. So, the niche is there and it's specific for what you're paying for.

    There also goes the celebrities that have been popular even in the old days and we've got the different kind of celebrities nowadays and they're the social media influencers. Aside from that, there are metrics and analytics that the advertisers can see if they've been effectively doing that compared to the traditional way, I am not sure if they also have that but most likely they only get those metrics based on the results and not on the actual way of advertising just to see how many have been reached by their ads.

    44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Notcoin real? on: May 17, 2024, 11:06:51 PM
    Now, OP has got a clear answer whether Notcoin is real or not. Well, it's been listed from several known exchanges and that only proves its legitimacy and how the project is well supported by these big exchanges out there. It's also making waves that this has given the thought for other new projects to come and get closer to the TON ecosystem and economy to start supporting them as well and develop more projects that lies on its ecosystem.

    But I think the telegram vote you got for NotCoin might be fake, because it was listed yesterday, almost all top few exchanges have listed this coin. And those who were mining hunters were able to earn the most money from this Notcoin project. So I also think that you should be careful from such fraudulent sites these days.
    Be careful of many fake projects. It's common that there will be some scammers that will try to imitate the successful ones and they'll say that you are still eligible to get some of the Notcoins and you'll receive voucher of it. Don't believe with these false claims because airdrop was already done and if you still want to get eligibility for it, you join the exchanges that are supporting it by having a launch pool.
    45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Casino Community Service Possible? on: May 17, 2024, 10:51:18 PM
    Yeah, I think that many of the casinos are giving back to the community. We don't just follow most of them because it doesn't make sense for us to follow each step that they make. So, whether they give back or not, it's not actually a thing for them to be done because they're a business. But I believe that I've seen before that there are some that does it actually so, I won't be surprised if many of them nowadays have like a yearly giving back and charity to their chosen organization or foundation.

    That's the kind of service that they do and not just they're allocating huge taxes to the states or countries where they are located. So, it's a big thing of what they do to the community but on the otherhand, there goes the other people saying that those money that they spend for any affairs that they do are also affecting people that became addicted and have lost their money through gambling with them. But that's the issue of the gambler's and not with the casinos as they're a business.
    46  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The happening in society is peace priceless? on: May 17, 2024, 09:39:10 PM
    It is so sad but the reality that nowadays to get peace and convenience, it comes with a price. We don't have choice with that but if you can afford to pay for it. I know that peace is priceless but when you are able to and financial capable, you'll be able to get it whenever you can. The society will do everything it can to destroy your peace so choose your peace and whatever you can do with it.

    And about the leadership in our territories and countries, there's always the part that we don't agree with our leaders. We tell sometimes that what they do is only for the benefits of themselves and they're not doing it for the sake of their people. The politics is a crazy and vast matter that many don't like to deal with because it only tackles the leaders and not mostly the incentives that they do to the people.

    We feel what they do for what's beneficial but at most times, we just tell the same thing that they're all corrupt.  Undecided
    That breaks the peace that we have and the trust that we put on them.
    47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: May 17, 2024, 01:46:49 PM
      The upcoming match is this one;

      • Boom Esports versus Gaimin Gladiators
      I guess that everyone is counting on for Gaimin Gladiators to win this series and go through the lower bracket until they reach the grand finals. But don't be too easy on Boom Esports, they've shown great on the group stages and they've improved to be honest. Seems like a dark horse but I just want to watch a good dota with this match though.

      Boom is about to take 1st map from GG and if this happens , I think Boom will secure the series with a 2-0 victory because GG is playing very poorly from dire side and that will be the case for them in 2nd map.
      Yeah, I've watched the series and it is impressive on how the match was quite close but then on the late game you'd see a huge par and difference on the actual game. I think this is one of the few times that I have seen a carry Templar Assassin able to make it in the late game, Pakasz is just really too good and there's no bias with that. That zeus and TA in the late game is terrible and sure a big counter to naix.

      The second map has started and we'll see if this is going to be the last game of GG or they will tie the series and going to make it to the third map.

      Also , what happened in 2nd map between Aurora and G2IG ? I heard there was a big crash of the serve and they had to remake the entire map with all the players being on the same positioned but I'm glad PGL solved this and they were able to resume the game without any difference for both teams.  Cool[/list]
      Well, I don't know with that because when I've watched that second map it was already on the go and mid to late game of the sequence of the game already.

        For the lower bracket;

        • G2xIG versus Aurora
        The first game series is done in the lower bracket and we already have the first team that shall go home and that's Aurora Esports. They have ended on this tournament as 7th-8th placer with a prize of $40k. Still not bad and they're also a participant to the upcoming DreamLeague. With this, they've got few more days to prepare to that tournament.

        The upcoming match is this one;

        • Boom Esports versus Gaimin Gladiators
        I guess that everyone is counting on for Gaimin Gladiators to win this series and go through the lower bracket until they reach the grand finals. 49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Naturally Chase loses in gambling.. on: May 16, 2024, 11:53:06 PM
        As what it says, naturally. We can't go against nature and if it's part of nature then we have no way of being against with it. However, there is a lot of flaws going against with our own, human nature by chasing our losses. If you value your money and you still want to gamble, you've got some plans that will never hurt you the most when you gamble and that's through splitting some budget and allocation for your gambling needs. No matter what the results will be, you will not chase them and they're good as gone forever.

        Because in most parts of our experiences, we don't feel good when we're letting go of our money and we're justifying that we have to recover them. But if you have plans of recovering them, you shouldn't gambled in the first place right? We're all to blame to our own mistakes and losses but if you have already accepted the fate and your feelings are light on it, congratulations then you're able to overcome the feeling of being a loser because that really sucks but you're cool when acceptance is there.

        So good call passwordnow!
        That was an intense game from Xtreme Gaming and G2xIG. The 2nd map, I thought that it's going to be G2.IG as they're obviously on the lead but it's so hard to push to the barracks. And the MVP for the 2nd map is XinQ. That marci of his which was a position 4 support became the actual damager to everyone in IG. And just to give some updates, the match for the playoffs Day 1 is done and we've got the teams already moving to the next bracket and as well as those that have been sent to the lower bracket.

        For the upper bracket;

        • Xtreme Gaming versus Team Spirit
        • Team Falcons versus Team Liquid

        For the lower bracket;

        • G2xIG versus Aurora
        • Boom Esports versus Gaimin Gladiators

        51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double your money and quite on: May 16, 2024, 10:59:08 PM
        but the big factor is on how we control our emotion and how good we are in managing our finances,
        I agree, if you can't control your emotion and you still gamble. You'll have problems on it later on with how you manage not just your finances but also with your decisions in life. Yes, they're all interconnected because as a gambler, we practice things and we decide and we also adopt to the things that we do and also to how we respond to a certain thing like what we do in gambling.

        if you make a good practice in following whatever setup and limitation that you take the strategy will be effective and the chance of making decent profits might take place, but if you don't have that good practice, even you set up good system to follow the chance of busting it up will always be behind.
        Just get used to it when you're not too pond of it. There will be times that you will not notice that you're practicing it and then the limitation you make is being followed by you. Only you can help yourself and if the time comes that you're able to gain decent money, that's the decision making will come and challenge you whether to keep going or you will save that money and will have no doubt to withdraw it. Even if the amount isn't doubled.
        52  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why people itself let their leaders to manipulate with them ? on: May 16, 2024, 10:20:37 PM
        We as employees are the modern slaves, they buy our times and services in exchange of the salaries that we're receiving. And for us not to leave them because we generate money for them, they give incentives, bonuses and promotions. As they say, you've got job security and probably will be set for life for being employed. But you will miss the lot of joy and gatherings and memories with your loved ones.

        But this is the reality of life that we have to sacrifice for those memorable times if you can't keep it up. There are leaders political and private companies that do give the honor to the simple people and employees like us as they appreciate our hardwork. It all depends to the leaders that we're having and I am out with the hopes of relying to the leaders although they're the actual driver of our economies.

        That's why I have set it on my mind that I have to work for myself, and not for the leaders so that my family will be with me wherever I go. Although indirectly, I have the contribution to whether the leader is good or not. That's another reality that we can't remove because in political systems that we're living in, we cannot change it anymore on what's with the system that we've used to have.
        53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: May 16, 2024, 09:25:07 PM
        ~snip~

        You're right there; that's why other gamblers become immune to the thoughts of other people who know nothing and don't know them personally. There are really judgmental people. When you send them what they have to say, it will only annoy you and ruin your gambling strategy.

        That's why what other gamblers do is keep it a secret and don't tell others; even if someone else finds out, it's okay because they don't know you either, as long as the important thing is that they enjoy gambling.
        We have always a choice, to either gamble wherever we are, in public transportation or in a coffee shop or whenever we would love when we're outside our homes. Or, to do it secretly in our rooms or wherever we are comfortable with and no one is going to know that. That's the way it goes for most of the gamblers that want their spaces not to get invaded by any stranger and they don't want others to see them gamble in real life because it's either, they're protecting their reputation and profession and don't want to be known as a gambler.

        That's fine and we're all for that. As long as you are gambling with your money and you're not affecting anyone with what you have. That's the way to go because if you're always going to get affected with those people that are telling bad things about you when you gamble, you have to deal with it or deal with them or do something about it so that you will not hear them anymore.
        54  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying Vs Renting a Home- Which is the right move? on: May 16, 2024, 12:22:00 PM
        Just like what Dave Ramsey said, those that can't afford to buy a home can temporarily rent until they think they can. I am in the same opinion as Dave here. Be prepared before you purchase your dream home or even not your dream home but your home where you'd stay until your retirement or for a long time. Renting doesn't mean you're broke but it allows you to become free from many obligation although your main obligation is to rent and pay that monthly rental.

        I love this pic as it says a lot. I even somewhere that renting an apartment could contribute to making one wealthy because they have little cost of maintenance to incur, except for bills that need to be paid.
        Actually, there's more to that tweet and that's just the first two lines of his tweet. And that is true, you have only to think of the monthly rent or whatever is the setup with you and the land owner and as well as the bills that you are obliged to pay.

        I for one have lived in a rented apartment for sometime now and know how depressing it could be to stay in one place for a very long number of years. It is unless I choose to settle in a place I consider developing and urban and safe to a very good degree, I would rent and save up while I also look for investment like cryptocurrencies to invest and make returns from in the meantime, before buying a house/home where I can raise children and love a good wife.
        For me, I have no problem staying to a certain place for a long time as long as my needs are there and I am living comfortably there. Forget about those people that are saying that are living in their comfort zone won't grow. We're different in kinds of living and living in comfort zone is king to be honest. So, while you're renting, all of us have the goal to own a house someday and that's part of your plan that you will rent for now until you are prepared and have got enough money to purchase the property that you have been dreaming of.

        56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: May 16, 2024, 08:47:57 AM
        If Someone that stranger to me doing this in public? he will face only two things either I will punch Him or will surely shout on him for tapping me and for caring about my business when he should have face his own.
        Haha, don't be so harsh. I know that when people are very much meddling with what we do, we should just tell them to go away from us. But I understand that when you become frustrated and didn't take those warnings you have given that person to stop what he's been doing because it is very uncomfortable to you. If it's too annoying and it took me 2-3 warnings to stop then I'd probably raise my voice as well but I'd be mild not to shout.

        Maybe when people know that there is a difference between an addicted gambler and a normal gambler, then I won’t be hiding my gambling activities any longer because I will make everyone who knows I am a gambler understand that I only gamble for fun and am not addicted to gambling.
        But that's the problem in our society. If you're a normal gambler, they'd classify you still as an addicted gambler. So, whether you explain it to them or not, you've been judged already and that's why we shouldn't care to what they say because they are careless to what they say to the gamblers that they don't even know in real life. We're already immune to these bad impressions that we're getting from the society just because we're gamblers. And if we're the one to judge these people, we'll still be judged for being judgmental to them.
        57  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think that government can stop Bitcoin? on: May 16, 2024, 07:56:26 AM
        Their is something I confide on me toward the existence of cryptocurrency and government, so do you think that government can make Bitcoin not be functioning
        They have no means of stopping the Bitcoin network but through shutting down the entire world's internet. But are they capable of that? maybe but unlikely.

        do you think that politics of a particular country can obstruct the existence of Bitcoin, because their one particular things I know that can not make Bitcoin to stop because it's a safe independent coin
        You're right, they can't stop but they can stop businesses that are more focused to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies by implementing policies that will strengthen their strictness and compliance to their regulations. We see this already from exchanges, the enterprises that are connected to crypto or mainly into the crypto business, they can do something with them.

        when looking at Bitcoin government can only make a control of Bitcoin in their country to restrict Bitcoin but can not stop the existence of Bitcoin. I don't know for any body in your country can government stop Bitcoin?
        Wrong, they have no control over Bitcoin even with their own country's. But as I have said, they have control to the users of BTC but not entirely with Bitcoin and that's different from what you're saying and I agree that they cannot stop the existence of BTC.
        58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you realize you need to be a responsible gambler so you can continue ? on: May 15, 2024, 11:31:28 PM
        We all know that we cannot play for a long time without being responsible players; we could go crazy, or we could lose all our money; at some point, you have to realize that you need to play responsibly, so I created this poll and this discussion to pick your reasons and explain it.

        In my case, I have to lose a lot of money to realize I have to gamble responsibly if I don't want to break my finances and experience depression, so now I control myself and monitor my expenses, and I'm doing good with it.
        I guess that most of us have lost a lot first before we realize that we have to gamble responsibly. Those that are not yet on that stage and keeps on gambling, soon they're going to realize the importance of gambling moderately. You have to be responsible at all times so that you can continue with whatever situation you are dealing with. If you happen not to be a responsible gambler, the tendency of you going downhill is high and you're not going to stay any longer when you gamble.

        So, if there have been times that you're able to win and you didn't take some profits, you know that it is going back to the casinos and you've just wasted your money and time for it. Being responsible is not just all about when to stop but also when you secure your profits, that's included and in all aspects as you gamble, you have to be very careful for every decisions that you make like with when to YOLO and when not. There can be moments that you are there to gamble just for you to enjoy and don't be too selfish with that as well.
        59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking outside The Box as a Gamer. on: May 15, 2024, 10:37:58 PM
        Every time I see someone checks out a token or asking how to trade or with this kind of thread, that exchange that he has mentioned is always included. It's a lowkey shilling of that exchange and I don't have to mention it because I am sure that many of you here are aware of that but they're making it look like the discussion is legitimate but you'd never see them reply to the threads that they've made. But if this reply of mine is going to be concerning to them then we might start seeing them have real conversations to the threads that they have started as it becomes an engagement to them and exposure to the exchange that they're working with.
        60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 15, 2024, 09:19:22 PM
        It's a bit crazy to see that Bronny James only measured at 6'1" for the NBA after being listed as 6'4" his entire adult career.  That makes me wonder a little bit if Bryce is really as tall as they say he is.  In any event, this is more bad news for Bronny's career.  He was just one of the worst players on a bad college team and now he's going to end up being a high draft pick in the hopes that LeBron will join him in the future.  I'll be surprised if Bronny ever plays in an NBA game during the actual season, but we're about to see how far the name James will take him.
        The expectation is there because he's a son of Lebron James but stats wise, I am not into it but with what I have seen, he doesn't have good stats during his college days. But still, despite that he's already having a good life thanks to his dad, he's still trying to make up for himself and with the media does right now on him, it seems this NBA combine is giving him the exposure that he needs. I think that he's already prospected by some teams because whoever gets him, will get his dad probably for the last season. So it's gonna be a package but is it going to be worth it for them? I've heard that Atlanta is trying to make space for the two, I dunno or probably that was just an assumed comment by a stranger that I've remembered.

        I don’t know if that Atlanta talk is real or not. I doubt any team will waste their first round pick on Bronny. He did show a bit of his athletic ability with the fourth highest vertical jump. So he isn’t a scrub or anything. I also
        Saw he got a few buckets today in a scrimmage. If he goes to the NBA though, I think he’ll be a late pick for the Lakers, otherwise he’d probably go undrafted.
        He showed not that good at the first scrimmage of the NBA combine. But he has shown that he's not that type of guy who likes all the ball shooting. He's a passer and that's still a good attitude towards the game. The comparison of him and his father is always there. Another team that I have heard is going to be Dallas but we will always hear these rumors while the draft hasn't come yet and this season hasn't ended yet. 4 points for his first scrimmage so, I don't know if that's the exact number but not impressive for the start but still, he's young and a rookie and teams that will see him as a prospect can develop him.
