We don't know what's waiting ahead of us and that is because we have no idea if we are still able to do the things that we've been doing for so long. So if I get older and I'm still having some fun with gambling, why not? As long as I won't be spending all of the pensions that I have because I may look like an idiot doing that and spending more than what I can afford to lose.

So if basically I want to gamble at that time, I'll spend the most spare money that I have or if someone gives me money, I may take a bit from that portion because that's how. Like the old days, it's all about doing myself a favor and winning some and losing a lot more.  Grin
Honestly, as long as we know what amount we're spending to gamble and the way we're living by that time, it's no problem.

Whether you gamble or do any other activities that the oldies are doing, you're on yourself and only you can know such things that you are about to do. With the money you have, you're free to spend them everywhere but don't you forget that we're old by that time and can't work that much anymore.s

I get to experience that and whenever I encounter one, I don't prolong it and put that teammate into mute and I report them with communication misbehavior. Anyway, are you guys familiar with Grubby? I am not familiar with him until there are some articles that I've seen about this guy and he just became immortal rank recently. And looking at the SA open qualifier #2, they're about to end. I am not familiar with these two teams, Mad Kings and Invaders, they're now in the finals.
I have played 5000+ match of Dota 2 since 2014. If in every match I tried to explain incorrect behavior to everyone who behaves incorrectly, I would probably turn into a psychologist or something similar)) Nevertheless, some of my friends try to explain to others, but I won’t do that now. But you are probably making the environment better, thanks for that.
Yeah, it's even going to ruin your game if you explain it for every game and that's why there's the report button either for misbehavior or communication that we can easily press and send to Volvo for them to take action. I've been reporting as well with those teammates that don't play well because of how poor they communicate and toxic they are.

Of course I know Grubby! Ever since the days of WarCraft 3, where he was a legendary player 10-15 years ago. But in Dota 2, today he took 5,644 MMR in just over a year, which is impressive.
I didn't really know him but the roots was there and I'm happy that he's able to reach that rank while if you go in some specific regions, you will barely reach immortal if you play such roles especially pos 4 and 5 and you know why is it. Well, yeah, it's all about the toxicity that we're getting from random teammates.

Closed qualification for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 has begun for China, which runs from November 16 to 18. Teams are fighting for one LAN quota. Tean Aster started with a victory
, I think in the end they will take this slot, but for this they need to win 2 more games.
Team Aster is no longer the former roster that they had during the qualifiers of TI and it's completely a different roster they have. What I think this slot will be taken by is by the Invictus Gaming.
883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 16, 2023, 10:12:53 PM
Will this roster that they now have is going to be the roster that they'll win their 2nd NBA championship? Because the last one that they have was from 1951.

This roster is good, but to think that they'll win a championship, I think that's too early to expect. I mean, they need to improve their ranking first in the playoffs. Last time, they had a first-round exit, if I'm not mistaken. So maybe one step at a time, this time their target could be getting to the WCF or just the Semis first.
Yeah, they need to improve first but it seems that they're proving themselves last year was a good start and all they need is to maintain the current roster and if they can add more, that's much better. Adding with more fine and someone who's got more experience during crucial times like in the playoffs. What they did last season was actually good because was it the first time again that they're back at playoffs?

The Lakers are “showing interest” in Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, & Alex Caruso. Basically, the Lakers are going to try all they can to get a win out of the Bulls need for a rebuild. With Anthony Davis having shown interest in going to Chicago, something big could be happening with this. Getting Zach LaVine and Caruso while dumping Anthony Davis would be a huge win for them in my book.
I've seen this but if they're going to take any from those, it's best if they'll take DeMar DeRozan. I think that everyone is going to agree with that. But anyway, we've got different thoughts on who's going to be better with them and it's them that's going to decide, so let's see the development on who's going to be taken if this interest becomes reality.

Agreed I think every team that has Harden leave is almost a net positive for them.  Harden is good no doubt but he isn't a type of player that makes his team better.  Looks like his teammates get disinterested when he is on the court.  Think something is off with his ego and/or personality which makes it not work on the court.
Probably with his ego, much better if LAC rebuilds or shows interest of trading him off with someone from the other team just to get rid off him. Because if this continues, the problem might be bigger and they'll not be able to reach playoffs.

~snip~

I guess the penalty does seem a little bigger when you look at how much money he makes per game. According to Woj, Draymond Green is going to lose more than 3 quarters of a million dollars due to this suspension. I don’t care who you are, that’s not peanuts. I still think it should have been worse, but I’m glad it will sting a bit.

Woah, that's a lot and yeah that's already a hit on him and if he's going to feel that much then he'd be careful with the next time he reacts with situations like that.

I love it, a silent underrated team. They're now in a 4 straight win and they just beat the Lakers for the second time this season. What made it better is they won in LA.
They've been consistent and I like this team now. Last season, they ended up greatly, and for sure they're going to end up better this time. Just more chemistry and this team is going to be liked and noticed by most NBA fans. Will this roster that they now have is going to be the roster that they'll win their 2nd NBA championship? Because the last one that they have was from 1951.
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 16, 2023, 06:28:17 AM
Harden just can't accept the disaster he brought to LA. If he gets out and does not help fix the problem, that would result in a bad reputation for him, which is not good considering he is still a high-paid player. So, next time he signs a contract, he might get a lower salary than Westbrook.
He's aware of that and there's no other way to go but to just play with the team and be the better him. Get alongside together with the other key players and then help the team to get wins. Attitude beats talent and that's what he's going to get with that type of mentality and actions he's bringing to the team. He's expected to bring the very best of him and contribute to the team but that's not happening as we can see.

What we heard probably is just part of their frustrations.
A frustration indeed but if it gets serious and that leak is for real, there can be some issues again for the LAC and to him.

A team that is consistent in the playoffs is currently on a long losing streak. It's really frustrating, but they could end that slump once they beat the Rockets in their next game.
Meta is changing and these players who have been considered superstars really don't get along properly. A team that's with this roster should be on the top but that's not happening because everything has changed now with the league if it's about these roster shuffles. I'd still say that chemistry is way better than of combination of superstars.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 16, 2023, 04:09:29 AM
Looks like the NBA made the decision to suspend Draymond for 5 games for his choke on Rudy Gobert. Honestly, I was expecting at least a 6 game suspension, but the NBA is pretty lenient when it comes to fighting (in my opinion).
That's better than just 1 game. Well, no matter how many games the suspension will be for Dray, it's not going to matter anymore to him. He's always this aggressive and that's usual.

Draymond has a long history of this though, so I would’ve liked to have seen him get a little bit longer of a suspension.
Yeah, much better if it's tougher because he's known for brawls like this and his attitude toward these troubles. But then, if it's already decided then that's much better than having lesser suspension at all. Is there any fine that's going to be sanctioned to him? With these fights, usually they get higher sanctions and fines, right?

Is that true that James Harden wanted out of the Clippers in just 5 games? or is this a rumor?
It's said that it's for real but not until it's official, then it remains as a rumor. But you know with these locker room conversations, most of them are real.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 16, 2023, 01:32:52 AM
TBH, this rumor is huge. Just after 5 games, he wants to get out of the Clippers already? Like I said, I will not be surprised if no other team wants him anymore after his contract this season because of attitude problems. It's my first time hearing that the Saudi Pro League wants him to play, and it's funny. Cheesy
Who was that guy in the Mavs that commentated about this thing with Harden? He just said the reality of what should sink in with Harden. This is an attitude problem that teams shouldn't condone. If he wants already out of the team after just few games, he's messing around and soon it won't be surprising if no teams want to take him.

I remember some players that have retired because no teams want to take them anymore and he could be on that position as well as his retirement will go too early. But even with that, he'll just take the money with him and the contract until it expires. I'm not sure if the $900M deal is also for real in Saudi Arabia.

But it seems that it's just like a bluff because of how fun it is going with Harden. Honestly, there are two players in my eyes that are becoming the memes material these days, one is Harden, second is Poole.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a gambler be a good bitcoin trader? on: November 15, 2023, 11:28:32 PM
It is actually not because you are a gambler, you are good at market analysis or good at all ways of trading. Well, you can gain success if you really want to become a trader and forget about the idea of gambling.
While that's true and everything can be learned on your way and that's what you just have to remember. Being successful is what everyone is achieving of whether it's with gambling or with Bitcoin trading. But i think it's a different thing with trading, it's like that you're having the feeling of more successful on it when you win your trades.

And that is because you're applying more strategies and principles to it to win such trades. Not just all about luck or what not and you have to analyze what you do. That means that whether you're a good gambler, you can also be a good bitcoin trader. But it doesn't make sense that if you're not going to learn or study what you do.

Because everyone who has become a good bitcoin trader came from nothing to something. And gambling is like your extra session of learning trading because of the logical thinking that you can get from there through taking and managing risk that you are able to.

Right now, I am watching the SEA qualifiers for the ESL Kuala Lumpur and the game is with the most hyped SEA team, Blacklist Rivalry against the Team Tough of Mongolia. 29 minutes on the game now and it's like that this is going to be a game for Team Tough as they have spectre and pandaren brewmaster that has both radiance. While for BLR, they've got position 1 templay assasin that seems not going to be appealing on the late game.

Quite possibly the worst game to play TA on. Imagine going against a brewmaster and a Spectre that can just send units to you and burn your refract instances. It must have suck big time for TA to play on this game knowing that her main survival kit is being countered by two heroes with the same item. Thankfully Team Tough slipped off and missed the opportunity to convert the lead to a win. If I was that TA, I would probably raged quit and never looked back given how toxic the brew and spectre combo is against me.
But guess what? They've won against that lineup, it's true that with one mistake, the game table can be turned wholly and that's what happened. It's still the experience of being patience and looking for a situation that the opponent can slip and Team Tough did that while BLR's patience paid off. They're now qualified to closed qualifiers.

It wasn’t always like this, I used to communicate and want to win with unfamiliar topics, but then I realized that the percentage of adequate people is small. And the screams and dissatisfaction of my teammates affect my games. Now I have ruled it out. Over time, it will probably be worth reconsidering leaving on those who do not scream and behave appropriately. This way I can achieve higher MMR, probably.

ana and other. To be honest, I don’t remember the nicknames anymore, but reading the news about esports wins, this happens regularly.

I've played a few games this week and whoever picks Muerta almost always wins. It's better to ban her right away.
I get to experience that and whenever I encounter one, I don't prolong it and put that teammate into mute and I report them with communication misbehavior. Anyway, are you guys familiar with Grubby? They didn't leave the scene but they have moved from SEA region to SA region. I think that this is like the new meta for those teams that have found no success with their runs for the past years. Honestly, I've seen the glory days of Boom Esports that when they were dominating the lan tournaments and I think they even became a major champ.

But out of nowhere they didn't kept the players that have been good in tandem that had brought them success and then didn't invest that much anymore in building the team. Maybe this run of theirs with the SA players will bring them luck as it's like one easy region for the pro players that they have chosen.
Yup, it appears the org is completely switching to all SA since they also have SA teams in other esports scenes like Valorant and PUBG Mobile.

Looking at the players they chose, on paper, they should be making it in the top 3 SA teams at the minimum as their roster is mixed with players from EG, beastcoast, and Thunder Awaken who all participated in TI.

The only team I know that's stepping out of the scene is Evil Geniuses since I remember reading news about them potentially dropping their other rosters.
Yeah, EG has already dropped the bomb and their roster. After having a successful run in the NA and were able to make a TI title with their perfect old roster. The next consecutive years were no longer move for them and I think the experiment for this last season was like the last chance for them to see if their journey on Dota 2 will still be good.

They're good because they were qualified in TI but looking at the ending and run of their team, it wasn't so good and even the prize pool, they're not good at all. I miss this team now, the old roster from NA together with teams like Fnatic and Digital Chaos, etc. There are a lot of them and all the other players that have been gone all of a sudden.

Going back to this roster of Boom Esports, that's true that they're like one of the top 3 so they should be fine if given three slots is always done to them for most major tournaments that are coming this year ending and for sure a lot, next year.
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: November 15, 2023, 08:35:39 PM
Do owners of betting companies place bet on their own platform or is there a policy specific policy that restricts them from betting. Do you think that there would be conflict of interest or that it will be unethical if owners bet on their own platforms. These are the questions that I am seeking an answer to.
I think that there's a conflict of interest if they do that with their own casinos. If you see one of them does gamble on their own platforms and they are advertising it, you know that there's always the catch that can be done through marketing. And that's why they're doing it for the sake of their own branding and not for them as they gamble.

And if they gamble somewhere else, in other casinos, there's a tendency that they're trying to get familiarized with other casinos for them to see if there's any gambling experience from those and to what they own. The comparison will be there for them to check everything out and if there's anything that they can apply or change to their casino, they will have to.

That's why we don't know if they do or not, and if they do then there goes those possibilities that we're talking about. But I guess that most of them are just doing it mostly for business and never do it for their own pleasure.
892  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Financial stability on: November 14, 2023, 11:18:27 PM
However, when an individual is financially stabilised it paves a way to an undiluted success and keeps the person above unrealistic expectations.
That depends on the person that's into that state and situation. Usually, it's just all about being free from financial burden and that's what's being kept as the goal for most of the people. We just want to have a good night sleep without having to think of the debt during the night and then we wake up with still the same problem.

For the majority that aims to have a financial freedom, we think that when we reach to that point, we won't have burdens anymore. But you know what, as I've said that it depends on the person. As you become free in financial burdens, your lifestyle might increase and that can cause some problems in your way.

That's why whenever someone achieves that goal, it's important to still keep your low in the ground and live within your means and not beyond your means.
893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: November 14, 2023, 10:25:31 PM
For somebody who is not completely in the know of DOTA2 and the insight of the professional teams involved but it seems to be a turnstyle with teams leaving and getting replaced more often than on the offseason of Esports.
I had even heard of Boom Esports in the league of DOTA2 play and this is surprising to hear of them disbanding and leaving the scene.
They didn't leave the scene but they have moved from SEA region to SA region. I think that this is like the new meta for those teams that have found no success with their runs for the past years. Honestly, I've seen the glory days of Boom Esports that when they were dominating the lan tournaments and I think they even became a major champ.

Maybe this run of theirs with the SA players will bring them luck as it's like one easy region for the pro players that they have chosen.
Okay that is great to know they haven't left the scene completely and just playing at a lower tier so to stay competitive enough to be noticed.
Yeah, they just moved and still around on this scene and I think that they have a better edge on that region since there is not that much pro players that manages to get into bigger tournaments there. So, it's like it's always them and beastcoast that always comes in the lan tournaments.

About CS2 teams, I would agree with you there. As there is alot of restructuring of teams with roster changes going on to the major teams right now with G2's Niko wanting to add fellow countryman Nexa to the fold for example.
Instead of what DOTA2 teams do with just cleaning house and starting with a clear slate.
Yeah, it's actually a better move if they do the same with Dota 2 teams. But with what we're seeing, it's like just whole business at all. When the current roster don't perform well, they're sweeping the entire roster and rebuilding it with new players.
That's their decision but good teams are always made through longer relationships and chemistry and that's what I have seen in the past and look at those teams that have been successful in TIs, they're not just the quick rebuilding teams and rosters.
894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 14, 2023, 09:35:45 PM
But when I play alone, at the beginning of the game I immediately turn off the sound of all my teammates and never speak myself. This allows me not to listen to screams, curses and receive negativity.  Smiley
Haha dude, you have just said the forbidden technique so that you won't be annoyed with your teammates. Especially when someone who starts to cry at the beginning of the game, it's better to mute them while you coordinate with the ones who wants to play.

I also like to joke that some eSports players come back to the game when they run out of money. Because they are used to spending a lot.
I know who's that, ana?  Tongue The greatest part timer of all tme.

What a strange peak and funny radiance we see in ESL Kuala Lumpur, ahaha, I'll probably watch it a little later. Muerta really banned?) lol
Normally it's banned when they know someone who's good playing at it.

That was close for the Team Tough, they're on the lead but one mistake did it all. BLR is now part of the closed qualifier together with Neon Esports that has been qualified today. Only one slot for SEA for the ESL Kuala Lumpur.
895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 14, 2023, 11:06:18 AM
I thought that he's just a cool and quiet guy. But I understand if he's got heated with the conversation because all of them put passion to the game and that's a normal thing for a team. I have found also in some controversies in the past teams that there were certain players that are also like that.

They can't stop themselves from having that heated argument with their teammates and disagreements after disagreements because they can't help to just be quiet and play the game. But the part of those teams that have cool commands and chat conversations are likely what to be admired of.

We know like players such as Ceb that have been in that cool manner even when the entire team was under pressure. I just wish best of luck to Team Liquid, technically they still have the whole roster just like the past 2 TIs but only replaced by one players going with retirement first with Matumbaman and now with zai.
It’s just that some players are dissatisfied with the actions of their teammates and they begin the process of destroying the atmosphere in the team in exchange for rational and calm communication. I have been seen this when I playing Dota 2 with my friends for many years. There are those who are constantly dissatisfied with everything, and there are those who, under no circumstances, will say anything bad, because we first of all entered the game to have fun. For professional teams, this is the job, it is certainly different, but aggressive statements are present in both cases.
It's normal to see that they react like that, there were teams and players that communicate like that. Remember that even in the pubs, there are toxic players and the way they communicate is very annoying so that's likely typical for some teams and professional players.

By the way, Ceb said for the last time that he was returning to Dota 2. I like watching this guy, especially during OG. All these videos of him setting up the team are just great. I only wish him victories.
Haha, Ceb became a big meme now to the Dota 2 community telling that this is his last Dota 2 journey in the pro scene but if they find success with OG, for sure that it's going to be an extended last journey and so on and so forth. But anyway, still good luck to him.

That DeMar DeRozan pass tonight was absolutely wild. Probably the best assist I’ve ever seen. Google for it if you haven’t seen it. Wild…

Edit: Here’s a link to it on X: https://x.com/bleacherreport/status/1724261168989270437
Although they lost this game, I was able to stand in my seat when I saw that play in shock. That was so good, and can really be one of the plays this time. Giannis as usual is him for this game, easy going inside as seems no one can stop him. Lopez, the typical big guy who does three points, Lillard did well too.

Clippers lost 5 in a row if I am not wrong, that seems like a situaiton that isn't just about Harden, hell Harden wasn't even there when this losing streak started. It's obvious that they are not aware how he plays, they need time to adjust. The team has Westbrook, Harden, Kawhi and PG together, if you ask me which four players would be able to play like this, like have some chaotic presence during the game, I would say these four.
This is what people are telling that not every team that has a lot of superstars becomes so good. It's just like that they're not compatible at all and the same seems to be strong in terms of paper but inside the court, the game changes. LA Clippers' current standing is 3-6 and they're like one in the bottom of the teams now. There is no momentum on them and this is a bad start.
897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your parent disinherit you eventhough you have not proven to be chronic gambler on: November 14, 2023, 12:11:09 AM
IMHO. It's just best to negotiate with your parents and convince and prove to them that they are wrong with their decision. There are basis as to why they're doing that to you when they're disinheriting you. I know that each side has a story and if that's what they have seen on you for being irresponsible person because they think that you are a gambler as simple that, no matter chronic or not, as long as they base it you being a gambler, you cannot do anything with that.

So, in result, you have to change for the better and get to talk to them and explain that you're also eligible for the inheritance but because of the path that you've gone through, you're no longer chosen on them. Honestly, it's their hardwork that had made them with all of those inheritance and the respect to their decision is even going to give you a chance by showing them that you respect them, the decision that you're not going to be part of the inheritance and so you're just going to move on and change for the better.

I think if you're going to show them the better version of you, you might even considered by them and when they see that you're changing for the betterment of yourself, that can even change their minds and soon who knows if they're going to give you a chance and will give a portion for that inheritance. If you choose to go battle it with legality, you have no chance because it's their own will, money and everything that shall be pass on and they all have the say to give that even to a stranger that they like.

Well, I guess that they have been just tested of time and that's why they're able to overcome the feeling of regret. It's not an easy thing if you ask me to manage that if they can really do that and able to become responsible through how they respond to such situations, yes, they can be concluded as responsible gamblers with that and if they're going to correct their mistakes as they gamble.
Yes, that's all not easy to do, while gambling responsibly is very important for gamblers to avoid anything bad from gambling and even if they always make mistakes, as long as they have the hard work to try to gamble responsibly, I'm sure there will be no wasted effort.
There will be no waste for sure to the gamblers that are trying their best to gamble responsibly. But there are times that they forget their main reason for what they are trying to achieve as they gamble. That very momentum of being responsible is becoming gone for some reasons that they can't understand as they don't notice it.

and those who have succeeded in gambling responsibly certainly feel proud of themselves and almost never feel regret when they lose.
Yeah, it's like pride that they're able to manage things that they can't before. And being responsible differs from the situation that we're dealing with. If a gambler manages to do that and they seem to treat that as an achievement, it's something to boost their ego and confidence that the next time they will gamble, it's going to be easier for them to become responsible and they'll practice that. But as a reminder, don't get too confident because you don't know what might happen to you for being so proud.  Grin

But out of nowhere they didn't kept the players that have been good in tandem that had brought them success and then didn't invest that much anymore in building the team. Maybe this run of theirs with the SA players will bring them luck as it's like one easy region for the pro players that they have chosen.

Yeah, There’s a lot of team already exit on Dota2 pro scene because it’s not profitable for them anymore since it’s very hard to get sponsorship if your team is always early exit or doesn’t win any tournament including minor tournaments.

Boom esports become a garbage team after their strong line-up before. New team appear and acquire those talented players leaving them no choice to accept mediocre players. I’m not watching frequently E-Sports in general but I watch Dota2 tournaments. I just notice that weaker team especially those who can’t afford acquiring talented roster usually just wasting there money on their player salary without getting in return since it’s very hard to win tournaments in Dota2 since the map is just balance unlike CS:GO which team switch side of the map with different role and advantage/disadvantage on terrain.
I think the idea that most teams have are to aim for those high prizes tournaments. Unlike with CS:2, they've got a better compensation for their players and that's through sponsorships. I have no idea how much the deals they are making with sponsorships especially with the better teams that have made a lot of achievements.
900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 13, 2023, 03:38:51 PM
There is no need to have that many reasons why we don't want to gamble in casinos that require us to KYC. We just don't feel that we need to submit KYC just because we want to gamble. And if a casino that we like does that, we have a lot of options in doing so. We can stop using them or be obliged to get on them and continue to gamble with them.

I know that OP is sarcastic here and the majority of us don't like to be subjected to KYC. And it's all about the government trying to do all of those reasonings and if you think that you're okay with that, no one's gonna stop you. But if you feel that your privacy is invaded through that then try to find a casino that won't require you that much.

Also, when a casino is hacked, expect that all of the data has been taken by the hackers including those that have passed on the KYC.
