1021  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much money can you make by investing in Bitcoin? on: October 20, 2023, 11:23:29 PM
I wish that I invest bitcoins but unfortunately I don't have any bitcoins and don't know how to acquire it.
You need money to do that if you want to invest, you can buy. But even if you don't have one, try to look for opportunities like the LEARN feature of Coinbase and other exchanges that offer some altcoins in return for your learning there and testing of the project. From there, you can exchange those into Bitcoin as long as the amount is tradable on any exchange or swaps.

Is investing in Bitcoin easy or complicated?
It's complicated if you don't have money and you don't like to learn. Otherwise, it's easy as it's widely accepted these days and more exchanges to choose from.

Is it possible to achieve success by investing in Bitcoin?
Depending on what type of success you have in mind but yes.

The main thing is how one can earn if he invests in Bitcoin and if he stays for a long time.
Simple: buying low and selling high.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: October 20, 2023, 11:10:23 PM
Well well well , it seems VP is really a strong team right ? Taking 1 map away from Spirit and almost got them in 2nd map as well is huge for a team who had to use regional qualifiers in order to make it to TI. More than this , it's been quite some years since VP had a good run in TI and I do hope they will manage to surprise all of us and win map 3 and send Spirit in lower bracket  Grin
Yeah, VP proved many of us wrong that they deserve the upper bracket and they have given such fights against Team Spirit but still they ended up losing and will be now part of the lower bracket. I've been thinking the former roster of VP and comparing it to now but I'd say both roster are great and strong and you seem to be right with that prediction that VP might be able to snatch a game from Team Spirit because they just did it on game 1.

But the most hype match for today TL  vs talon is starting! im rooting hard for talon today and hope they finally beat liquid on a big stage
I am eyeing for Talon on this match but they lose the first game. They're on the 2nd map now and KDA are just close to each other. 11-11 TL/Talon. I can't comprehend their heroes if late game-wise because it seems that both of them will be able to push the game into a late one. Luna for TL as their carry and terror blade for Talon as their carry. There's also storm for TL while Zeus for Talon.
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is this? on: October 20, 2023, 08:25:26 PM
Nice OP, asking and there are the details including the links to their social media accounts.  Grin
I will not invest in projects like this and you're just giving everyone your social media links and the curious ones will visit them but I won't. You might be part of the team of this project and that's all you need to do is to make everyone curious and let them see what they think about the project by starting this thread. It can or cannot be a scam, but whatever it is, projects like this we don't have an idea if they'll stay longer or not on this market.

Spirit vs VP and I have a feeling that VP will snatch 1 map from TS and push the series to 3 maps.
You're right on this one, 2nd map was just done and Team Spirit won that while the first map was won by VP. The first map was one sided but the 2nd one, it's so close at the beginning up to the end. When Team Spirit was trying to push for the first time at the bottom barracks of Dire, larl did a throwing move of forcing inside and then they got wiped out. I thought that VP was already on the lead on that mistake larl did because they're all out and killed after a few seconds. Bottom barracks of Team Spirit was instead destroyed but still, they're the TI champs and they won't be called one if they can't do a come back. Mid and bottom barracks of Radiant(Team Spirit) were all megas but then, they did managed to comeback and clutch although the team fights were close to being wipe for each other's side. This also shown on who yatoro is, his Muerta was just there standing hitting all of them, that physical damage he attributed was painful. Now, waiting for the 3rd and last match, the decider match on who's staying at the upper bracket and will go to the lower.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: October 20, 2023, 07:13:28 PM
Even in my country Bangladesh, sometime in the past, cock fighting was organized as a village competition in the rural environment in different areas during the rice harvesting season. At one time the kings of this country used to organize cockfights for their family entertainment. However, this rare popular game is played in very few areas today. I have never seen such a game in my life but we get some idea of cock fighting competition from history.
Actually, that's a good thing if you're not seeing it anymore done in your country and that means that there are fewer cockfights to none happening there. Maybe in some private locations, it's still happening but to most it is unknown.

However, cockfighting is still very popular in other countries of the world.
It is and that has become a tradition and while some activists do not agree on this way of gambling. The gamblers that are into this won't let someone stop them even if it's the government. Yes, you've heard that right because even if the government places a ban to this particular cockfight, you'll still see a lot of them as I've mentioned are probably doing this somewhere else in a private area where no one is allowed to enter without permission from the organizers.
1026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 20, 2023, 06:39:36 PM
Almost everyone I guess. GG was supposed to be the one who can match TS in terms of gameplay yet they are already on the lower bracket struggling since group stage. So far, Team Liquid and LGD is the closest team who can stop them but TS on TI form is very hard to beat.

Count me in to bet TS to win TI.
Assuming that Team Spirit loses the 2nd game against Virtus.Pro, they'll be sent to the lower bracket and they will be against the winner of Tundra Esports or Entity. Those two are also good teams. The chances of Team Spirit and Gaimin Gladiators face each other are in the Lower bracket semifinals. But if they won at the upper bracket this supposedly becomes a 2-1 against Virtus. Pro, then the only chance that GG and Team Spirit to face each other is very low and that will only be at the grand finals. I just realized that all of the matches today are from the upper bracket and tomorrow will be ones from the lower bracket. And on the last day, it's gonna be the losers from the top bracket and winners from the lower bracket meet up.

By the way, the odds for winning Team Sipirt TI12 are already 2.50. I'm wondering how many people bet on this? It will be interesting if a crowd of people put tons of money here and this doesn’t happen.
Now that odd makes sense because they've lost the first game. I think many have put their money on Team Spirit because of how they did well. But it might be that VP will be the one to stop their dominance, we'll see.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 20, 2023, 12:39:48 PM
I would still pick Team Spirit over 9Pandas even without this advantage. Out of the last 10 games of Team Spirit including those before TI, They have only lose a single map. Thats a total domination over the game shown by Team spirit, obviously this would be another 2-0 for them
Team Spirit is without a doubt the best team now based on this TI 12. I think to remove the confusion, Valve should just remove the '12' and just make it official the 2023 and also the upcoming one. Anyway, it's not that much to think of, and going back to Team Spirit, they're a better team than 9Pandas but I don't think that they'll ever face anymore in this tournament based on their bracketing.

it could be easily over 2.5 maps on Talon vs Liquid for sure, I have taken another single bet on that but this is a fun parlay to begin the playoff with
I've already cast my bet on this one, I'll go for Talon and I just wanna go with the odds on this one and that's just for the match winner. Whether it's 2-1 or 2-0 as long as it's Talon, I'd win.  Grin
But it won't hurt me if Talon falls against Team Liquid and they'll easily win against them. Anyway, we might see some surprising heroes, carries, and supports on this one. Anyway, talking about Topson, did you guys see that he's been practicing Magnus on the pub games? Maybe he's up to it and not a bad hero in mid, tank, strong laner and quick farmer too.
1028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Lump sum Vs DCA" for Bitcoin Accumulation on: October 20, 2023, 11:42:08 AM
Even if I had the capability to do a lump sum, I wouldn't do it. I'll still go through the slow process of DCA so that I can see every potential time to enter. DCA is an investor-friendly strategy, no matter how risky your approach to the market or how conservative you are, this is the best way to go. And it's proven and testified by most of the folks here that DCA is the best strategy whether you're a big investor or a small one or just someone who's speculating and starting out. But if DCA doesn't work for you and you're a different type of investor and you see other strategies work for you best, you don't have to do what everyone is doing. Because who knows if you'll be successful there and I think that no matter what it is, we're all going to meet at the end of it and we all have one approach whether lump sum or DCA or any other type and that is we all gonna hold.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: October 20, 2023, 10:55:03 AM
I remember when I was still a kid and when and my friends any sport that we played, there was always that challenge to each other about betting. Yeah, pennies and small amounts only or even some toys on the stake. You're right that the kids have been doing that ever since without our knowledge because even us, we've done it in the past. Still, parental guidance is needed for these kids to let them understand the dangers of gambling when they're not yet grown up and they've become used to it. That should be the goal of every parents, and to let them know that when they used to it, that becomes an addiction and when it becomes an addiction, that's hard to control and they might do things that will make them ruin themselves for like when they get refused by their parents when they ask money, it might result to them having tantrums.
I think money is easily learned about by kids at very early ages. "You can buy this but you cannot buy this" can be enough for kid to learn how money works. So its normal they try to get money of their friend. I also think gaming is brainwired. So they can associate money to their games easily. It can start with "I win your money if I win the game". This is literally stone age version of gambling so. In summary I believe kids would be into gambling if they like games for sure. Its impossible for kids to not get familiar to concept of money as well.
Yeah, it's as simple as that and they learn easily how money works. Just take the example of them telling you to buy them toys and they understand that for one to take something they want, they need money on it. And from there, they already understand the basic economy that everyone is dealing with. Like I have shared about me being as a kid before, it's like in our entire neighborhood everyone gambles unnoticingly. Heck like it's a normal thing for the kids to gamble with their toys and even me, I have personally experienced that together with real money but in small amounts. I think the principle and thought there have developed as I grow up until I have realized that it's a big thing. And even the idea of gambling without even money for kids, like "if I pass the test, you do this". THat's sort of gambling already right and I am pretty sure that all of us went through that stage.

1031  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which does good leadership depends more on? Age, experience or education? on: October 19, 2023, 08:43:46 PM
I believe that all of them need to be correlated for a leader. Like we put into example corporate jobs, managerial and other leadership positions are given to the ones that have experience and education. And we mostly see these positions are given to the direct proportionate with the age. Although leadership isn't just all about your achievement in studies it still has a factor and plays a role for someone who will be hired for that position. And if we're talking about the leadership of an entire country, there are other factors that many are considering but mostly, this is all about the experience and proven track of record that should be visible that the person is capable of taking over that position and shows responsibility. So, there is more than that if we'll put them in place, whether it's on the corporate, politics or in some organizations.
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 19, 2023, 07:58:10 PM
I have often wondered about the people who have lost a lot in gambling and who almost loose in every gambling activity they participate. What is their reason or motivation to continue even after so many losses?
None other than chasing the losses. Ask everyone this question and you're seeing now the answer of everybody and it's just the same. That's the actual motivation that they're getting from the rest. If it's not with the losses then it's mostly all about the fun that they're saying that they are gambling for the entertainment that they're getting from it. Having that many losses will discourage you from gambling honestly and those who are trying to recover it will definitely lose more.

but in gambling, hyper-positiveness is like a balloon; when it's blown, there's nothing left.
That's what everyone has on their minds. Being too optimistic that they'll be able to recover their losses as they continue is going to happen but that's not gonna happen to everyone. Some may find success on that chase but the majority like you and me will have trouble finding it.
I like the comparison you've made about balloon and when it pops, that's like the pain and disappointment will show.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: October 19, 2023, 07:24:22 PM
You're right, it really helps if the adds, websites and anything else related to gambling are blocked, but I don't think that's enough.
That's enough but you as a parent need to guide your children and check them out once in a while to see if they're doing something beyond your knowledge that's related to gambling. These days, kids are so adventurous and will do anything what adults are doing just as gambling and that's why you need an eye on them at most times while you can because you'll never know what they are up to.

For me, we can't really prevent them from knowing about gambling, it's better to give them an idea of how harmful gambling is for children so they don't try it anymore.
As long as their minds aren't yet on it, better not to introduce or give them ideas. But once they are on it, that's when you'll tell them the harmful benefits of gambling and they shouldn't try it because they're still kids and don't gamble when they're around for them not to see it. So they won't have any idea or thoughts on what gambling is like. Because if they do, that's the hardest part and you might have trouble stopping them.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquaio vs Mayweather 2 rematch on: October 19, 2023, 01:27:50 PM
They may claim that it's for charity, but not all of the proceeds, likely just a portion of it, perhaps only a small fraction of the total revenue they will generate.
I know Manny and I guess that many of us know him and that his heart is for the people. If he says that it's going to go to the charity, it will for sure. Yes, there can be a small fraction but it will come to him. He's not like the other rich people that will make themselves richer and if they'll give back, they only do a small portion of it.

In reality, there's no necessity to frame this fight for charity purposes. After both fighters receive their paychecks from another successful bout, they can choose to contribute to charitable institutions in their own way.
The reality is more of they can keep on saying that they'll fight for charity and everyone is going to buy the tickets and pay per-view. Because the essence of this match is just for Pacquiao and Mayweather to fight. Regardless of what the result will be, the important thing is they're able to have a rematch and that's what everyone is going to look forward to. Those haters of Mayweather would like to see him do the run inside the ring, while the opposite for Pacquiao, they just want to see him getting beaten and prove that Money has always been undefeated.
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin's Price Surges and Drops Unexpectedly on: October 19, 2023, 09:47:58 AM
This made people doubt if the news was true or not, and they wanted to know where this information came from.
That news was proven to be false. Cointelegraph admitted that the news was wrong and they'd made a mistake posting it. Thanks to the one who's behind that manipulation who has made a lot of money for just a few hours.

Quote
Why Bitcoin's Price Surges and Drops Unexpectedly

Just think of it at all times, Bitcoin is volatile and its price is always on the verge of going up and down. So that's it, because of it being volatile every news that comes out to be positive can affect it positively and every news that comes out negatively can also affect its price.
Do not be surprised when there is a fluctuation whether it's due to manipulation or not. But we'd love to see more of it if there is no news and it's just the normal move of Bitcoin based on the market and its demand. And we'll see that very soon when the upcoming halving is done. The good news are the ones that will follow Bitcoin because everyone knows what are the great impacts of its halving.
1036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 19, 2023, 08:29:22 AM
I met a friend who used about $1 to play gamble to win about $2500 in a game of different matches, all the early games went well but the last game cut which made him loose the game.  This lose made him to be sick for 3 days, the reason for his reaction was not because of the money he used to bet but he felt so bad because he has already put all his hope on the money he would have won.
What? That loss made him sick for 3 days? I hadn't heard that even before that after a big defeat, he'd go sick for that straight days. But I guess that's the consolation and price that he'd get for not securing the profit he'd made. Mental health is just lowkey attacking us but it is seriously attacking us when it gets there.

People needs not to put all their hope in games they are not sure of winning, because relying on it can be very dangerous to the mental health. Play gamble and remove your mind from the money that will be gained till it is achieved.
It's like heartbreak for your friend he wasn't able to get that win. $2500 is such a huge amount for him to ignore and didn't cash it out. If someone is relying on it and yet not a full-time gambler, they'll feel more emotional about it. While professional gamblers won't think that much although there's still some regret that's gonna leave their face. That's a huge lesson for your friend when he didn't cash it out. And the next time that he's going to gamble, he'll make sure that he's got enough winning and he'll never ignore that again because he don't want to get sick again for 3 days and that's more satisfying than to just watch the money gone when it's already on his bare hands.
1037  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: October 19, 2023, 07:44:33 AM
Not all lottery winners are able to retain their million dollars; others nevertheless lose everything they won as a result of poor risk management and financial literacy skills.
That's a sad truth, I've watched a lot of them win the lottery and garner a lot of money through their luck and jackpot. But many of them weren't prepared to retain their wealth so they have spent it like a one day millionaire and that's how they did it until they're all busted. If I'm the one of those winners, I'll definitely reinvest it and will let it work for me just like what the wealthy people are saying and will live a decent life without having much pressure. But lacking of financial literacy really beats a person no matter how rich they are.

Despite the fact that what you said is true, a winner should use their resources wisely and effectively in ways that will increase their profits rather than only using them when extra cash is needed but no money actually comes in. The automobile won't start, of course, when the fuel runs out, right?
The first step if they're unsure of what shall happen to them by having lots of money is to avail a financial literacy education or schooling. It won't take them much but that's the first thing they can provide for themselves so they can manage their money properly and they won't be empty quickly just like how the first winners did. Forget about having vacations, you can delay that and prioritize first on how you're going to be knowledgeable in handling your money.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 19, 2023, 06:37:35 AM
What is up with Klay Thompson and GSW? There's been no progress on his potential contract extension, but I doubt they will let Klay go or even let Klay himself play for another team. This happened to Green last time, and we even have more drama. Maybe just a little bit of drama this time before they reach an agreement again.
I thought that it was Klay that's okay with that setup and he chose not to ask for an increase but whatever it is on his potential extension, he should be good and grateful for that. But on this one, I also thought that everything was okay but maybe this is the new meta for the contract extensions, there should be some drama on it for the media to have them covered with any potential signing.

But at the end of the day, business is business.
Yes, that's always the priority of these franchises. Whatever is gonna help their business, they are on that side. However, I have big doubts that they will just let Klay go along with another team as he's also one of the faces of their team. With Poole, we've never thought that he'd be traded and I don't want to think of the same thing with Klay since he's a different kind of player if we're going to compare him with Poole.
1039  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your view on abortion? on: October 19, 2023, 04:47:08 AM
As much as I want to take sides on this one, I'm looking at the midst of it. While there's so much poverty feeding and growing up a child can be tough. A couple, if they don't have a means of doing that then at least practice safe sex. If they can't take the responsibility of giving a good life for the child/ren that they're going to have then at least put that protection on and enjoy. But in some cases, it's true that it's life, a form, that soon will walk on Earth just as we do. Given the fact that the baby is already there, we'd say give the kid a chance to live and let things work on their own while you work hard to provide for them. So, it's case to case basis and hard to pinpoint or direct someone when I'm not even a woman and I don't even know how they feel when they're about to make choice of their lifetime, either to pity themselves, what they are carrying and or a regret forever.
1040  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Government job or private job? on: October 18, 2023, 11:55:44 PM
If you're a person that sees the future being with the government then you'll surely choose to work for them as the benefits are there but you've got lesser freedom IMHO. It's because you shouldn't make any mistakes on your end and even in your personal life. It's like whenever there's news that someone goes amok at a bar, the media will have that headline as "a government employee run amok in a bar". So you see that there's like an attachment whenever someone works for the government and gets into a controversy. Unlike in private companies, whatever happens to you will be kept personally and privately. I've just noticed that thing whenever I watch the news as there's always this classification if someone is from the government. As for me, whatever will help me to make ends meet, I'd be happy to that and whatever is making me happy to work for and gives me encouragement to go to job everyday, I'll be there.
