And there you go... It seems that the Republican candidate is not only an insurrectionist, but a convicted rapist. Seriously, the US should think if they deserve someone just even a bit better than this criminal.

Hey dumBAss, you got your jury there... happy now?

Quote
A New York jury reached a quick verdict awarding E. Jean Carroll $83.3 million in damages in her suit that former President Donald Trump defamed her.
Trump stormed out of the closing arguments, leaving the courtroom while an attorney representing Carroll spoke. He returned to hear his own attorney speak.
A jury found Trump liable last year for sexually abusing Carroll in a New York department store in the 1990s and defaming her after she wrote about the incident.
Prosecutors and Trump's lawyers concluded testimony yesterday after the former president briefly took the stand and called Carroll's accusation "false." The trial was presided over by U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan.

I wonder how many trials would it require from Trump to give all his state in punitive damages - because I am certain that there must be many more cases under the carpet given Trump's attitude on women. Maybe other will like to join the bandwagon while Trump has enough to pay.

Although I understand what you mean but your English is weak and seems a little bit hard to comprehend fast.

It's has been the topic of everyday that one should make sure in life that your rich, don't live for today and suffer in future while you plan for today also look into your future.

There is one thing I know too well, that it's not my fault I'm from a poor background but it will be my fault if I remain in that background. At the very young age of men it's meant to be spent wisely knowing too well that in less than no time nature will take it's part in your life and you will be left no chance of changing the past.
Make haste while the sun shine.

dude... a native should have no problem understanding my English, I am just writing slang-ish and ignoring a few  grammar rules because I do not intend to write a book. Warrent Buffet says the best day to invest was yesterday and the second best today, so I guess better to be late than to not be at all. At least, you will have some short of pot rather than zero.
403  Economy / Economics / Save while young better than wait on: January 26, 2024, 03:41:39 PM
Look, you can be old and rich or young an poor, but being old and poor is bad shit.

A surefire way of doing the wrong kind of things is to spend your money early or try to live a good life quickly without thinking about the future. Or if you have an ok job or income to think that is enough, even if you cannot save.

All young people, understand that time an money are linked. It is not the same to invest early than late, it is not the same  to invest more early that try to invest more later. 100 is worth 100 today, but 800 in 20 years if you play it safe but well. Make no mistake, you will need to start creating your wealth.

This is the only conflict in which i can stay neutral and i am actually neutral in it. I want to know details about it because i am curious but other then that i have no interest in it.

It is ok to be neutral I guess. However, a friend of mine once said that if you do not do politics, politics are done to you. This is the same, you may not care much about Ruzzia taking a chunk of Ukraine, but next day you have a "protest" in your own country organised by the Kremlin to justify them sending "peace troops" or the like. When is international it affects all.
405  Other / Politics & Society / Re: News: Supreme Court allows border agents to remove razor wire in Texas on: January 26, 2024, 02:08:52 PM

Excuse me, how is immigration a national security matter? The largest part of the migrants are looking for a honest opportunity to work an have a decent life.

This is not a "security" matter, it is something that needs to be managed so that the people that are more beneficial for the economy of the host country are effectively brought in and integrate well in the economy.

It is a narrative which has been pushed lately in the political right media in the United States on the dangers which alledgely the average American people could face because of the state of the southern border with Mexico. It is not secret Trump has already stigmatized those who cross, by tagged them as criminals, terrorist in disguise and even patients from mental institutions who are being sent to the southern border of the United States. Even though it sounds ridiculous, he may be leveraging on what alledgely happened between Cuba and the United States when tensions were higher between the Havanna and Washigton, taking advantage of the prefered status of Cubans who managed to escape to Florida, the regime sent criminals there, in order to get rid of them.
I doubt Trump has learnt enough about history to even realize this comparison and use it in his favor, though.
Sadly, the reality is much of the voter base indeed sees a problem in the immigrant crisis, even in sanctuary cities, the mayors seem to be feeling the pitch of having to take care and provide human conditions to foreigners waiting for their asylum cases to be heard.

If you were somehow convinced there were thousands of "dangerous people being poured" in your country you would also allow Fox to wash your brain.

All countries in EU, US... Australia... all are getting waves of immigration, but that is no a security issue ever. However there is a problem with "pouring people" anywere even if they are not criminals or the like, since you have to find living places, services, police, schools... Is not a safety issue at all, it is a social issue and it can be a significant one.
406  Economy / Economics / Re: How will the BRICS currency influence Bitcoin? on: January 25, 2024, 10:20:23 PM
So, we have seen a recent attempt by some of the BRICS nations to create their own currency to rival the US dollar in international trade. We know some countries that form part of this alliance, have been sanctioned and international transactions were blocked by SWIFT that are controlled by Western countries.

A lot of these countries started to use Crypto currencies like Bitcoin to bypass these restrictions, so it will be natural that less demand for Bitcoin would occur, once these countries created their own single currency.

What do you think will happen to Bitcoin, when these BRICS countries created their own digital currency? Will there be a significant drop in the demand for Bitcoin?

Do you think BRICS countries might opt to use Bitcoin for international trade or even as a replacement for the US Dollar? Will they simply exchange local currencies OR will they develop something new? ( Something that can be controlled by them?)

Let's discuss this...

It doesn't. The "BRICS" coin would be in essence the Yuan (Remimbi), the rest of a theoretical pot of coins that would combine into a BRICS coin are either not very useful due to their inestability or they would be insignifican in comparison with the trade volume that China has with the whole world. I do not see Ruzzia yielding to getting paid in Yuan nor the opposite. Not easy thing.
407  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think about the freedom of speech in the USA? on: January 25, 2024, 10:04:44 PM
So, you think that Youtube should allow these pro-Putin channels to continue spreading propaganda? After all, Google/Youtube is private company and they can decide what is better for their business. After all, it's not written in constitution that everyone has right to have Youtube channel.
Censorship isn't perfect solution, but I think it's better option than allowing to spread propaganda freely. Don't forget that these channels is targeted on Russians only. It's also made to brainwash people of Eastern Europe and former Soviet Union. They also actively maintain English language channels which are trying to look like opposition for mainstream media and targets Western people.
About blocking Youtube - if they haven't done it in 2 years of war, I doubt they're planning to block it anytime soon. Despite censorship, it remains important tool for their propaganda machine.
About freedom of speech in USA - I don't live there to respind, but looking from outside, things looksnot so bad. Maybe in most popular media you won't see many pro-Trump opinions. But as said above, there is channels which shows trumpism 24/7, Fox probably is most prominent example.

TwitterX decided a while ago to put a mark on unverified sources and to mark some of the information as "possibly not accurate" or something like that. Most people publishing information have some short of stance, but it is a problem when they do not start respecting the basic facts. That is you can argue is "5" is a big or a small number to boredom, but what you cannot say is that it is "4".

Now is now, not Trump's administration. Russia wasn't provoked to do their police action until Biden. Russia wasn't building their military up until Biden. Feeding more money to Ukraine will only continue the same - forcing Russia to prepare for war more and more. Trump knew how to make peace. Biden only knows how to kill off more Ukrainians.

Here is why Ukraine will be left in the dust, dead.

If Trump wins, he will stop Ukraine funding. He will convince Russia to go easy on Ukraine. Russia will start to help Ukraine.

If Trump loses, Texas and several other States will secede, and that will totally disrupt any funding to Ukraine. Ukraine is done. Help them by supporting Trump, and making peace with Russia... no matter what you personally think about Putin and Russia.

Cool

First of all, best luck in your second US Civil War. I guess you need to re-learn History several times  Grin - Thank you for helping me show everybody your true colors. Your suggestion shows that you are the warmonger... backed up by your desire for funding so that more people die in this useless war. Neither Trump nor I are even suggesting things like this. So, thank you for clarification about yourself.

Be careful: Trump has not clearly stated that he will not fund Ukraine, he says he would "put an end to war". On top of that, you are forgetting that the EU has enough capability to support Ukraine, and good motivation too. - See? There you said it again. Are you trying to talk Trump into funding more war? Sure seems like it.

Just to play along, let's say the US is effectively divided... How do you see the world after that? I mean, how long until one Chinese or Ruzzia guy decides that you'll be his personal sex slave. - Almost half of the US military is manufactured in Texas. But regarding your point, looks like somebody has turned you into his personal war slave. China? More than likely you are working for Russia... a double agent.

Will Trump appeal? Not allowing him a jury in the US is illegal. So all these trials are illegal, and almost everybody knows it.

Cool

You are not trying even to make sense, are you dumBAss dumBAss? You are saying that you want Texas an other states to part ways with the Union if Trump is not elected or is judged not fit. I am reminding you that the last time that the South decided to go on their own, the rest of the US made sure it did not happen by winning a war.

Again, good luck with that.

Trump will have his jury, do not worry. Just keep going with your night part-time law studies in the University of dumBAssland dumBAssland.

There. Fixed that for you.     Cool

Good, you have made good progress. See, I told you, go back to primary and eventually you will learn to read dumBAss.

Meanwhile you are super-happy about the recent successes in primaries, the judges keep doing their thing. Trump's attempt to re-gain the presidency, this time in a more traditional way seems to be going well... however, I would not be counting on the final vote of the moderates, they are that keen on seem people with horns around the Capitol and the like.

409  Other / Politics & Society / Re: News: Supreme Court allows border agents to remove razor wire in Texas on: January 25, 2024, 08:16:00 PM
Immigration is a national security matter and I think that the federal government should have an upper hand in legislating who comes into the country, and as you said that the supreme court has allowed that razor wire be removed in Texas, border, I think that the state should comply and respect the rule of law. The issue of immigration is a very big concern worldwide, due to the economic hardship in many countries, their citizens are migrating in large numbers to countries with stable economies to have a better life, so these countries needs to have strong immigration laws and be strict about it, inorder not to have immigrants that will overwelm their workforce and bring criminals into their counties. I hope that the US federal and Texas state government can work together for the interest of their citizens.

I'm not an American, so I don't know if there's any political undertone to this immigration matters that keeps reoccuring, because I know that Trump, was anti immigrants, and now this is an election year.

410  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: January 24, 2024, 12:20:20 AM
For sure they wont because it would really be affecting out their overall credibility on the time that they would really be able to make such act on which we do know that its never been that appealing or something that would really be that recommended for them to do so. There's no easy way for you to make yourself that to gain up that trust which you have built up overtime.
This is why it would really be just that normal that you would really be having those thoughts that you should have only be able to introduce something in public
into those projects which you do really know that it is really that legit. You wont really be tending to mess up your reputation that you had built up for so long.
You are right and those who are reputed influencers will never share anything which is not legit. As they only share legit sites there is no chance of being a scam. But if they do not know the inner handling way then can happen the difference.
Reputation is something that is built over a time or periods. For an influencer to get to the level of being called a reputable one, then I think he would had made some certain decisions that is in interest of the people he is passing information to.
We need to be wise and watch for what fruit is good and select them from the bad ones. There are influencers that would not mind what the consequences of the information they are passing could be, all they care about is money and not the interest of their followers.

Reputation is key certainly. I am quite tired of the whole influencer thing. I can admit that someone has social influence in their field, for example a football player on football shoes, but nowadays what I see is only "influencers" that get paid to advertise something that is completely alien to that for what they are considered socially relevant. Is like ephemeral influencing.
411  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any recommendations for another casino like this one? on: January 24, 2024, 12:16:20 AM
I don't know much about this said casino but to me it would be much better people have review of this site to know if they are legit or not because just bring a site and asked people to look into it looks very suspicious, and no reputable member over here would accept to go deposit their funds over there to spin be it free spin they would still find it hard. To me it's better they launch a promotion over here than you just copy a site link elsewhere to post here and whom do you hold responsible if they scam people over here?

The OP should be asking for reviews indeed, just dropping there the link and making a post with a less that great style and English writing looks much more like throwing a link to the algorithm rather than an actual invite to the other forum users to find a similar site in the web. I think the site adds little to what is out there and the process of registering is a bit slow.
412  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: January 24, 2024, 12:13:34 AM
rules that are unfair and burdensome for their own users, it's the same as we are giving them free money, it would be better with the rules of giving kyc first before playing so users can determine their choices, such rules look quite cunning like going into a crocodile's mouth, because most people really hate giving identity to casino sites
Any casinos that is used to creating rules that is very hard for users to abide by would always end up losing customers.
This is something of common sense since their are several casinos online one can use and bet with friendly atmosphere and terms.
Everyone one wants to keep using casinos that would not keep giving us headache because we don't do some certain things right.
This is one of the reasons we keep seeing gamblers moving from one casino to the other just to get a better and friendly atmosphere.

They would lose their costumer if at the first of their operation they tell a lie to them. That's the reason casino should know to be transparent that they might need this requirement in future. If they keep telling that KYC is not needed then for sure there's a lot of skeptical people will not try to use their casino since they might not trust them for that. First impression is always important to they really need to be honest for all the time especially if they want to became a reputable casino in this forum. There's a lot of casino running here so transparency of everything is what they need since this is the most strongest tool to market their casino.

They seem not really concerned by loosing customers. Either they are running a fishy operation or they are trying to make as much as possible by simply not giving back or it may even be a system to delay withdrawals to allow a better financial planning in the short term for the site. In any case, is a sure way of getting people very anoyed and talking bad stuff here.
413  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: January 24, 2024, 12:11:15 AM
I am curious to know who are their targeted audience and at what age group. In general gambling people target countries like thailand more but probably this is not the case with crypto. Do they target nerds or total dumbs? How efficient they are between their marketing tactics?

The big possibility is that they are looking for an audience that is old enough to qualify. There will definitely be a KYC request in terms of when playing on gambling sites, to ensure the maturity of all users and their target to the landmark Asian state because that is where the players and gambling enthusiasts are.  there are, even though some are legal, some are not illegal, so the conclusion is that they only target those states because it is much easier and the taxes given are likely to be very low, unlike in European states.
Asian states are preferred for gambling.  Because the people of this country are more addicted to gambling.  And especially young people are addicted to gambling.People in Asian states are addicted to gambling.  Gambling is played by people of all countries but people from Asian countries find gambling sites.  And younger people.

It is a common conception, but somehow it seems to be true that Asians, particularly Chinese and Pacific Ocean countries are super-adept at gambling. But we must not look only at the habits and culture, there is plenty of demand but there is also a lot of offer, so the market is not easy at all, you'll still need to spend time gaining their trust in competition with big players.

A blast in an oil depot / export facility in St Petersburg has been reported yesterday. It seems really mind blowing that Ukraine has been able to hit critical infrastructure so far from the front, deep into what should have been a heavily defended airspace hundreds of klicks away just by the second most important Ruzzian city. If that can be hit, other stuff can certainly be hit.
416  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Decentralization things are awesome but in some country on: January 21, 2024, 10:27:07 PM
On a more serious note though, those use cases are real and specially useful on totalitarian countries.

Moreover, even in today's most free countries there still is money debasement and control over what people can buy.

Bitcoin enforces absolute scarcity, something unprecedented.

You know that we are in a centralized world, where everything you so from childhood till date is recorded. The day you came to the world, the school and houses and everything that you do in your country that involves the government is recorded. This is why initially when bitcoin came into existence there was a strong force fighting against it because they see that it will limit their power on citizen financial lives. The government love to be in control of their citizens so that they can manipulate them in one way or the other.

However, it is not everyone that understands the benefits of decentralization and that is why, you see that some people will not adopt bitcoin because they only believe on what the government created and they think that whatever is not from the government will fail. Some people that bitcoin is still illegal in their country, they are also scared to adopt it because they don't want to to go against the law, so that they don't get jailed because they lack the proper knowledge of what decentralization is.

From a philosophical point of view I would say that in a decentralised world, all transactions that you will ever make are effectively recorded and not only in one place, but in a million copies of the transaction register.

Look, decentralisation is not that helpful when you live in a country that lacks the basics freedoms. Cryptos are not a solution to every problem out there, certainly it helps totalitarians and not alike.

Actually i just browse news aggregator sites like news.google.com for keyword "Ukraine" and filter for last day to stay updated on the topic. But keep thinking that i'm an agent of Kremlin. It's interesting to watch your reaction when i point to western media pivoting, which is typically a precursor to political pivot.

Circling back to Nord Stream missed this one from few days back

European investigators have long believed the attack was launched from Ukraine via Poland....

But hey no "facts" here, so must mean that Russia did it, but then now Poles are covering for Russia!?!?

Edi: Added the left out Wall Street Journal citation

The only fact is that, as I said, there is only speculation and you, as usual, copy-paste whatever article seems to be friendly to your version. So... nothing new here. BTW, I do see an newspaper speaking on behalf of the "European Investigators", not a quote of whatever the "investigators" have "investigated" or whatever they have said, so first problem here: not the original source, which should be easy to access for a super-news-aggregator user like you.

Ruzzia could have done it yes. The fact that the Polish are accused of not being cooperative by the "investigators" is nothing new, they are rarely fast or cooperative with the Germans the "investigators" - perhaps due to some bad experiences with Germans "investigators".

Convenient no? Especially when you evade answering what kind of proof would convince you that Ukraine stood behind Nord Stream sabotage. Also, it's quite funny watching you discredit WSJ when it doesn't fit your narative

A proof in the conventional sense would be enough. That is not a suspicion or an activity that is not clearly understood or a single sourced "proof". The same to you: What would it take you to think the opposite?

BTW fireworks today again on board of Ruzzian ship (I have to see more sources on this), but it seems that along with a large fuel depot, a gunpowder factory in Ruzzia, a largui-sh patrol boat is not a coraline habitat.

Fact check:

- In criminal cases the defendant(s) have a right to trial by jury.  Civil cases are different, no jury required (no risk of prison either).

- Nobody is "not allowing" Trump to have a jury in any of his criminal cases.

- The trials for damages where he's already been found liable for all sorts of fraud and the one where he's already been found liable for finger raping a woman (at least it felt like a thumb..... 🍄Huh ) in a dressing room at a department store and then defaming her...and then defaming her again are civil cases (although a jury did find him liable for the finger rape and first defamation)

- The cases where he's been charged with almost 100 various felonies including espionage act violations and defrauding the United States are criminal cases - if they go to trial there will be a jury.  And oh what a jury it will be.

Here this dumBAss is absolutely eager to get a jury and it is not that difficult to know why. With a judge is more difficult to harass and threaten, they are more protected and already have plenty of "enemies". With a jury, the Trump hordes wild go will on threats, violence and demonstrations to the point that the jury would either have to be isolated, a mistrial declared or they will have to declare innocent as they will be under threat if not.

Good politics. And thank you for agreeing with me.

The question is, who is supposed to make the decisions about using US money to help out foreign countries? You are probably right that it is a job for Congress and the President. So, let's look at what happened and what would have happened in Ukraine.

If the US had not given money, etc., to Ukraine, the war would have been over in two months. There would have been deaths, but relatively few when compared with how many there have been. Additionally, the land of Ukraine would not have been destroyed; many of the architectural artifacts would still be standing.

I agree that the government of the US has the duty to keep the peace in the world, at least at times. So, why didn't they in Ukraine? Biden's blundering stupidity, and that of Congress, has totally wasted Ukraine far more than Russia ever would have if they were allowed to do their police action in 'peace'. I'd say that Biden and Congress totally knew what they were doing, and they purposely killed Ukraine.

Trump didn't do anything like that. But you think Trump's the bad guy... because he likes peace?

Cool

Another of you posts repeating the same falsehood: There is no option for Peace other than stopping Putin. The politics of appeasement is something tried and tested in history and does not work. In a form you can understand: You give Ukraine, then they want Poland. You give Poland they want Sweden and Finland... It does not end ever because that is Putin model for the Ruzzian economy and state.

And make no mistake, there is a huge bill to pay for a Ruzzia that comes out thinking this was a good idea.

Now, Trump has another defamation case open in NY. Last one was 5 million, let's see how this one comes out  Grin

They better win one of those cases. If they don't, Trump has a defamation of character and an election interference case against them all.

I guess you need to re-learn History several times  Grin

Be careful: Trump has not clearly stated that he will not fund Ukraine, he says he would "put an end to war". On top of that, you are forgetting that the EU has enough capability to support Ukraine, and good motivation too.

Just to play along, let's say the US is effectively divided... How do you see the world after that? I mean, how long until one Chinese or Ruzzia guy decides that you'll be his personal sex slave.

back on topic: They have already won "One of those"... the tab will be 5 million, see you soon in TwitterX or in any harassment media of your choice.

One case — his civil fraud trial — was in state court. The other — a defamation lawsuit from the writer E. Jean Carroll — is in federal court.

During closing arguments in the fraud case last week, he sat in the courtroom and berated the judge, who has already ruled that Trump committed business fraud and is now weighing whether to fine him and the Trump Organization hundreds of millions of dollars.

It's fun guys, govs hardly avoid accepting Bitcoin is money, but when it comes to gambling then users are risking money, so, casinos need a license.

Let's be honest, If you can deposit, wager, and withdraw. I don't see where the license is in the process...

Just want to say Fuck Cura็ao, the island in the middle of nowhere who decide to take the crypto gambling industry in their hands and make billions of dollars with it. Who the fuck they are to wash money this way?

Crypto gambling needs freedom, and i insist in this point. If you can Deposit, Wager and Widrawal, then you don't need anything else.  And a big shout out to those casinos who still working until now without a license, freebitco.in, Just-Dice.com, bustabit.com... They are big examples of how crypto gambling should be.

And in a perfect world you would be free to do whatever with your money, but there is to much drug and weapons dealing money around and even if it is not cash, it would be just too easy for the site, the owner and most importantly any bank they potentially use to join the list of sanctioned entities. That is something most people simply will not risk. Too life-changing.
