1101  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 06, 2023, 09:48:09 PM
My thinking is that you cannot be wealthy unless you have quite a bit of savings. Now, a different thing is that concept of "saving" which for the wealthy should really mean investing wisely with adequate risk and adequate returns. Having good earnings is just the beginning of creating that wealth and that asset base that generates passive or semi-passive income and makes long term wealth.
1102  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump is indicted on: April 06, 2023, 09:45:03 PM
.... this Trump arrest nonsense. .....

Why is it nonsense?

In OGNastys defense...illegally covering up payments you made to influence the outcome of an election that you're running for president in isn't really that big of a deal compared to stealing classified documents and then lying about having them to the FBI, or trying to overthrow the government to remain in power after the people decided not to give you a second term.

As usual though, when it comes to defending Trump you will mostly get whatever short and easy-to-remember phrases they've heard repeating over and over and over that don't really add up to a real defense since it's usually completely obvious that he's guilty of whatever it is he's being accused of.

I find the problem is that many people treat politics the same as their favourite sports team.

ding ding ding

I would be very interested in understanding why he believes that the statute of limitations is somehow limiting the charges against Trump. I am however quite interested in knowing why the GA decided to go for him with this indictment first, as Trump has a pile of cases against him and others seem much more evident and easy to proof. My only guess is that the sexual component of this one does hurt the puritan base or the RP.
1103  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: April 06, 2023, 09:14:34 PM
A big chunk of the military budget obviously went somewhere besides the military....

Obviously. If they intend to compete with USA, they need at least 2 wars in every decade,
to keep army in good shape and root out corruption

And keep NATO unified and NATO membership attractive to other countries, especially those that share a border with Russia.

No other person is more responsible for NATO expansion than Vlad.

Isn't it crazy to think that since invading Ukraine, Russias border with NATO countries has doubled?

Yes, because before war, Finland and Sweden was Russia-friendly and Russia allies

No, it is because they were not subject to article 5 and now they are. Congratulations to the RF government, diplomats and "glorious" army for this great achievement that makes the world more dangerous and closer to a serious incident. But yeah...blame it on Nazism, Rusophobia and on the solar winds if you want, it does not matter - the deed is done.

It was already difficult for Finland, which lost 10% of their territory to Russia remain neutral, all they needed was a Putin.

Oh, BTW, there are rumours of fighting in Chechenia... probably Nazis and Russophobes there too right?

For now, it's enough that the Finnish government lost the election and resigned.
Don'y worry, with new government Finland's views towards Russia and support to Ukraine won't change.
...

They will change. They will be even less favourable to Putin.

Oh, man, I just learned that someone left a kettle for too long in the Ministry of Defence and there was a little (well, not that little fire) there in Moscow. Probably the same guy who smoke in Moskva's magazine.
1104  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: April 05, 2023, 10:51:56 PM
I don't think the gambling site that claimed to be a web 3.0 gambling website misunderstands the concept of Web 3.0. I believe they only apply web 3.0 just to gain more traffic while they only focus on the cryptocurrency and individual non-custodial wallet use on their platform while they ignore the control of personal data and decentralization.
Any company tries to show a little more about their company in their marketing to get traffic. Use the trending news to attract gamblers to what is currently trending in the market. Nowadays, many casinos claim that their websites are Web 3:0, but in reality they are not completely sure of their claims. So it falls into misrepresentation to register gamblers in any casino by marketing with false claims.
Agreed,we generally understand that Web3 is a decentralized ecosystem which built on blockchain technology that offers many advantages to casino users. One of the advantages is that they can hide themselves. If KYC is required any web3 casino platform then it is totally against web3. Those sites are not considered to belong to Web3. However, the online casino may use this word to attract the attention of gamblers and their promotion. Transparency, security and efficiency are the main advantages of Web3 without which it cannot be considered as Web3.
Because of this, gamblers now have to be more careful about joining the casino after seeing any promotional event. Kyc is still a big excuse for casinos to trap gamblers in various ways, so no matter how much they promote web 3.0 they won't remove this kyc for their own benefit. So they will do this marketing to use the trending to reach gamblers faster, but they will not actually create a full web 3.0 casino by removing KYC.

Web 3.0 or not 3.0 does not matter much for compliance and law to be honest. These are completely independent topics because the interface or the programming environment can at most implement better tools or make things more natural, but they do not remove the need to comply with all regulations that are in place in the country of the site.
1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: April 05, 2023, 10:43:26 PM
Big casinos can be worth a hundred million dollars for companies up to a billion dollars. If there are new casinos, you can't be sure how much capital they've got and how worth they are. That's why if you just want to know how much they're worth and how they're able to pay for influencers, you can search for them and do some research because it's easy to know how they can afford to pay these people to advertise them. If they can't do it, they won't have the guts to hire some prominent people not just from the gambling industry to advertise them.
Casinos are really spending money every day on influencers promoting there casino to the world. We may knot know how they spend there money or how much they spend every month on ad and promotion to make sure that gamblers keep coming to there casino. Sometimes when we see ads online we may not know how it comes about but casinos are spending a lot of money to make sure that there services is available for gamblers who might be interested in trying there casino and playing few games they love to play.

Ad campaign is really a deal for casino owners, the market is rapidly growing, and it's quite hard, especially for casino owners with little income, to have enough potential to develop projects in media. And also it's quite hard to produce software of good quality under such circumstances.

not only for casinos I think, it is a widespred issue. In the old times, projects could potentilly become viral and they could succeed just by being really good products or very viral focused projects, but those times are more or less gone. Tik-tok is nothing special, it just spent lots of money from the CCP to become the short vid app of choice. If you want to take that position, be ready to spend a lot. Casinos are the same.
1106  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: April 05, 2023, 10:36:27 PM
They use bots for customer support because their common questions are answered very quickly for customers so they set up a bot to answer some common questions.  But when you ask something beyond that common question.  Of course a person will answer your question but you have to wait for some time. But currently AI is widely used and now customer support is going to be more easier.  So you must first be sure that you got the correct answer to your question. In that case, it doesn't matter who answered it, human or bot
Bot services can only answer general questions but for specific questions maybe the service must be responded to by humans for the best answers, I think gambling has both of them for service priority to members because every day many members send messages to the service to improve the casino site, so service factor can also increase the reputation of the casino.
Yes, I also mentioned that a bot can only answer general questions, which the casino has set its bot to answer. But if a question is out of the ordinary question or unknown to the bot then a person must answer the question as a person who is engaged as a customer service of some site. Of course, when a site is very popular and has a huge number of users, it is not possible for a small number of customer services to provide fast service.  So in that case the sites have to take help of the bots and set the questions which they target to repeat as common questions in the bot.

Yes, what you are referring to is how players should be treated, customer service in casinos is very important, people who have a vocation for service should be put in, because they will normally deal with customers who are upset and who have some kind of of stress that will be reflected in your tone of writing or speaking, the job of customer service is to know how to receive this type of complaint and take it in a direction so that the problem is Resolved very quickly and thus Avoid all types of conflict with the person and that he is happy, that is something very vital in a casino.

It is kind of a well know marketing matter, you can go cheap and save in costs and provide a basic, no frills service with not much added value, but make it very affordable for that type of public, but casinos are usually the opposite, instead players tend to like a very good service and bonuses and promotions, but they would compromise in costs and chances.
1107  Economy / Gambling / Re: List Of Crypto Casinos with The Best Faucets on: April 05, 2023, 10:28:51 PM
IMHO faucets are something of the pasts. I still remember that there were, before cryptos became widely used, a website out there that would pay you for keeping an add window permanently visible in your computer screen while you worked or did whatever. I believe it went under quickly as people found the way to cheat it by using macros. Faucets are not really useful.
1108  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for paying online casinos for refer on: April 05, 2023, 10:25:14 PM
Of course, friends have to do that if you want a casino that is willing to pay the highest paying affiliates.
In my opinion, there is no problem when you have to go in and do research one by one for each casino so that we can really find the casino we want.
Maybe it will take time when we have to look for one by one but after finding it we can take greater advantage of what we have done before as the saying goes that a satisfactory result requires a tiring process.
After being able to find one of these casinos, we can enter and play there until we have a lot of experience and wins so that when sharing a referral there will be many gamblers who are interested and use the referrals we provide.
Searching one by one can provide us with more information to find the casino we want because one casino and another will have differences. And it is from the differences that we can compare each casino to find the one that is right for us. And that's also worth doing. Apart from avoiding the possibility of experiencing fraud, we also have to know much about the casino where we will play gambling.

it's quite easy for me to find a casino that is willing to pay affiliates a slightly large amount, we can choose popular casinos on this forum such as Stake.com and Livecasino.io.
both of these popular casinos for me pay their affiliates an amount equivalent to the work performed as an affiliate. easy enough isn't it looking for a popular casino in this forum?
If you talk about casinos outside the forum, I'm not sure if I can trust the casinos out there whereas I prefer the casinos in this forum.
well, maybe beginners will definitely be confused with some of these methods, but if someone has a strong desire to become an affiliate, their efforts will not be in vain.
I don't trust casinos off forums as I've had bad experiences before I found these forums. But the problem is there are more and more newbies out of these forums who don't know how to find the right casino, so they will randomly choose the casino. That's what can make a lot of newbies out there able to get scammed by these casinos. But hopefully, these newbies can get correct and precise information before deciding where to gamble and share the referral link.

Forums that only talk about gambling are probably less accurate and reliable than those that speak about different topics, but also it is more likely that the owners will try to get better publicity on those sites than in others that require some reputation and in which the forum users have a system to enforce credibility such as this forum for example with the trust system and the merit system.

Did the IRA only hit legitimate targets during a war? Did they not, for example, set bomb a city centre with no particular strategic value or target?

The fact that a concealed bomb is used does not make it a terror attack. RF is at war with Ukraine, espionage, propaganda and production centres are legitimate targets. It would be not  be acceptable to bomb a supermarket, shell a Theatre or kill civilians, steal their property and mass-grave them.

I support the peaceful (read it again) right to self determination and, in general, a military defensive response against a military attack with the objective of reaching a durable peace. More so when a democracy or something that could become a true democracy is at war with a despot.

Why are Falklands still occupied?

Occupied? By who? I know a consultation took place in Scotland recently and that all these territories decided to leave the UK, but I was not aware that a consultation had taken place in the Maldives - or that anyone had requested it.

I mean, unless you are referring to the 2013 consultation about the independence, in which...

Quote
...   Falkland Islanders voted in favour of remaining a British overseas territory by 99.8% to 0.2%

Do you think that RF republics could ask for consultation also, like the Brits Overseas Territories? I was actually legal in the old soviet regime, but do you think that can be today or Putin just does not give a f**k about their opinions on the matter?

Given how many contradictions there are in US politics, the US will fail long before Russia. The proof of it is in the failed US plan to win through Ukraine.

Even though all the democrats will be dead soon because they got vaccinated?

Sadly, no.  Most of them have been given covaids which will shorten their lives and make them even more in love with Big Brother since they'll be even more dependent on Him to supply life-long palliative medical 'treatments'.

In other news, what's this weeks excuse for the the delay of the promised unblocking of Bakhmut (now Artyomovsk)?  Or 'the greatest counter-offensive' or whatever?  Bad weather again?  Or maybe they had it and nobody noticed?  They seem to be behind schedule given that the cock-head clown was promising Crimea by 2023. <snicker>

Great news for you then, Democrats will live short lives, so you just need to wait to get the government Putin needs in the US. Patience is a virtue.

Excuse for what? There will be no Ukranian offensive. Nothing to do with the bad weather, nothing is going to happen even if the sun shines. No need to worry, you just keep your eyes focused in every inch of Bakhmut and do not worry about anything else. Patience is a virtue.

It seems that karma finally reached him. Other Russian propagandists won't sleep well tonight.

I would not say exactly "karma". A known centre of propaganda and a gathering of people that, not being the army officially, but clearly part of the war effort in terms of spreading mis-information and pro-Z propaganda, and probably directly involved in cyberthreats... sounds to me like a perfectly valid war target.

I guess war is no longer than patriotic and marvellous when you know they can blow you ass in St Petersburg right under the podcaster chairs of the "keyboard patriots division". Alas, it will take many more people's lives in both sides to get to the peace that should have never been broken.

So you supported IRA bombing in UK?

What does the Finnish perspective have to do with the Russian invasion of Ukraine? I am old-fashioned in forum discussions and I try to stick to the topic of the conversation indicated in the title, I also advise you not to produce offtopic here.

Update. Nevertheless, I will tell you what I think about the Finnish question. The year of the special operation in Ukraine clearly showed that NATO suffers from impotence and does not have the potential to resolve the conflict by force in the confrontation with anyone more serious than the partisans from the banana republic. NATO is overgrown with fat, soaked through with the ideas of transhumanism and neo-colonial guilt complexes. Even AUKUS is much more promising and combat-ready. Do you want to talk about it? Choose a more suitable topic and I am at your service.
-cut-
Off topic? Oh critizing your sources by saying that *insert any country* has pro russian news sites that have their own small following. How convenient that it's off topic to you. Like posting fake news from fringe Georgian news sites isn't that?

You are probably right, the Russians fired six uninterceptable hypersonic missiles at a non-existent bunker. What a ridiculous and stupid show of force. Grin
And just by inserting word NATO in your fake news doesn't make it linked to NATO.
But i guess it's all natos and nazis in your book. No proof needed. So in your case you are either to being lied to or you are lying yourself, i would go for latter as you are playing for Putin here.

Same old arguments, same lame excuses, but it matters little. Finland was not in NATO, now they are. Another of the great triumphs of Putin includes enhancing the NATO border with the RF even more, thus making the world a little less safe once again. I guess he cares little as he is nearly 70 and may loose power far before that is a problem.

Bottom line, aggression is matched with unity, pretty much the opposite Putin expected.
1113  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Trump be indicted ? on: April 01, 2023, 10:45:03 PM
In this case is probably not as much about the overwhelming evidence, which I am sure is there and I am sure much more could be brought for many other counts, since Trump is so clearly a "creative tax payer". On this case it is a lot about being able to effectively judge someone who has such an immense (and for me difficult to understand) support from the grassroots and the big money.

The tentacles are all over, and they probably can destroy anyone trying to do the right thing
1114  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: March 28, 2023, 09:30:27 PM

Sure, we are seeing planes flying over Kiev everyday because it is so obvious that the RF has control of the sky... Maybe you are mistaking the HARM radar seeking missile that has been very much used to kill RF radars all over. Nothing to worry, the Ukrainian air defence is not doing anything, the Ukrainian troops are just playing chees in the trenches waiting to be killed. Nothing to fear, nothing on the build.

Hint: try that you propaganda at least matches to a point reality. If not, even those who really want to believe it, will not be able to.

The likely reason that you are seeing no RF aircraft flying over the city of Kiev is that the Russians have no more reason to fly over it than I do.  That would be zero.

The likely reason why the RF aviation stopped 99% of its activity over Ukraine is because they simply cannot fly over. If you look at the numbers, you would think that the RF would create air supremacy in a week, but as usual, RF numbers are a thin as the paper they are written in.

RF aircraft are pretty much irreplaceable and Ukraine has quite a good defence. If not, those IKEA Iranian drones would not be in use at all.
1115  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: March 27, 2023, 10:28:42 PM
Renting makes sense if you are moving from one place to another or you do not have stability for any reason. Otherwise is, in general, and that may change with the markets and the crisis, to buy getting a mortgage if the interest rates are reasonable and if you have a reasonable expectation of continuity in your income.

Also, if you have children, it is usually a good idea to have "roots" in a place. They appreciate that stability in the early years.

I read in the news a few years ago, about some country that used cardboard tanks (fake tanks) to make it look like their military was a lot stronger than it really was. What country was that?

Every military does that.  It's not to make one look stronger per-se,  but instead to generally create some confusion and in best cases cause the adversary to waste capabilities by reacting to them.  Could be pretty effective when direct aerial photography was the norm, but I would suspect that more technically advanced nations are rarely fooled by cardboard or inflatable decoys as much at this time.  The strategy has moved toward the electromagnetic spectrum level (I'm guessing.)

On a related note, it looks like Ukraine found the secret switch which helps protect their air defense systems.  It's labeled 'power', and the secret setting is labeled 'off'.  Russian kills of AD systems really flattened off over the last half year (though they claim to destroy counter-battery radar at a respectable rate.)  It's possible that Russia found and neutralized pretty much all of Ukraine's AD, but I would be suspicious that they simply turned the systems off in order to preserve them for later if/when a more rapid land-grab by the Russians.

Sure, we are seeing planes flying over Kiev everyday because it is so obvious that the RF has control of the sky... Where's that Ukrainian 'greatest counter-offensive' we've been hearing about?  Last week it was bad weather.  This week it's something about new gear and saving Bakhmut or some such.  'Excuses are like assholes', so they say.
...

Yes, no Ukrainian offensive is planned, do not worry. Just keep on throwing the official "truth" here and keep on attacking Bakhmut - it is very important for the RF to conquer another flattened town that is in the middle of nowhere and in artillery range from the other side of the river. You do not have to worry about the nearly state of the art nearly 100 main battle tanks coming from US and Europe and those few hundred IMFV. That is just for defence, so no offensive planned in the next few weeks.

Sleep well, read the Pravda, listen to Radio Moscow and keep drinking Stolichnaya.

What's this week's excuse?  Bad weather again?  Whatever the case, it looks like Russia is keeping the narrow muddy door open to Bakhmut for the 'greatest stupidest unblocking operation' if Ukraine ever gets around to it.  But nobody can wait forever.

Excuse? No invasion is planned. You are just fine and do not have to worry about the Ukranian troops currently on training in Poland, Letonia, US, UK,... they are just training for fun. It does not matter is the Bakmuth attack is stalled because nothing is happening. As said, just keep on throwing resources and wagner's convicts into the crossfire there.
1118  Economy / Gambling / Re: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want? on: March 24, 2023, 05:30:01 PM
Your bonuses only gets bigger if you wager a higher amount of money, for people like me the bonus part is always not enough, because I prefer playing with low amount of money, it's even why bonuses don't look that interesting to me anymore after I found out that big players are the ones that benefits the most from bonuses.

Welcome bonuses, deposit bonuses, these two are what I care about, so yes bonus is a very attractive offers from online casinos, bonuses are very important.

This is the most common mistake by newbie gamblers who are interested to deposit bonus/welcome bonus than bonus for being active (VIP bonus). Deposit/welcome bonus comes with high wagering requirement and some other terms while VIP bonus comes with no wagering requirement. I have no idea how can people is more interested with welcome/deposit bonus than VIP bonus. We do not even need to have a lot of money in order to enjoy the benefits of VIP program. I'm small gambler whose average bet amount is under $0.5 but I can enjoy the benefits of VIP program in 2 different casinos (Duelbits and Stake).

I think that a monthly bonus of 10% subject to some level of playing or even a regularity in the playing, like at least 3 days a week, would attrac the right customer for a site. You do not want people who will stay there 4 hours a day, because for most that is simply not possible to afford in the long term, but encouraging the play without promoting the addiction is probably the sweet spot to find.
1119  Economy / Gambling / Re: they are scamming us? on: March 24, 2023, 05:27:33 PM
Don't be too quick to believe anything that's posted on YouTube or any video sharing platforms. Yes, it could be true that the one who's exposing it really came from the casino industry or it's just someone that has overheard things over the counter and then managed to make a video and creates accusation about such.

Even at this state, the game can still win if he has lucky in that game. Though it is difficult since he is not controlling the game.
Winning isn't difficult because it's given to every gambler and we'll win no matter what and how much we've been losing. But that's it, we have to understand that the house always wins and we can't defeat them if that's the purpose. If you feel cheated by the casino you're playing at then, complain to them and give them the proof or show it to the community for us to decide whether it's cheated and we won't go there anymore.

Winning has to be difficult. What kind of games would you play if not? If you always win, the rewards would have to be minimal for the house to be sustainable and that would probably would not be as fun as if you score an epic win from time to time. The concept of playing is that a victory must mean something ant that is about making it just the right level of difficult.
1120  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: March 24, 2023, 05:24:08 PM
If we talk about sports gambling then we should have knowledge of the past history of players or the team we are betting upon and what are the odds being offered at the time of wager. If you have idea that how they have performed in recent matches or know their capabilities and playing style you can bet accordingly but if you are wagering on pure speculation then it will not work best for you.Rest the luck always needs to favour you in gambling.
Without research, you won't know how to choose the right team, which will only defeat you. And if you repeat the same thing, you will lose many chances to win the match, even if it is the easiest match. Analyzing every match of a player or team is very useful for us because we can see how they are performing and know if they are the right team or player for us to choose. And after finishing analyzing that, we can choose a team with a higher chance of winning than the opposing team.
But there are still instances that we will lose no matter how much preparation we are doing. Have you seen the thread here last time about the guy who lose a million dollar bet? That guy must be too confident about his ability. He was almost correct if the opposing team didn't get lucky to make an epic comeback. Then there are those newbies who just bet randomly and still manages to win the game.

This only shows that luck still plays a big role even on a game of skills like sports betting. In gambling, losing is also normal but it shouldn't discourage us to not try again the next time because I am sure that there will be a time that we will win.

Is a question of gettin a lesson from the bet. You are right, even the best players, even poker professionals are always at the risk of loosing and that happens many times in fact, but it is about learning and about maximising your chances of success and on that sense, no bet is lost but only if you understand and analyse if your betting process and style need to change.
