Seems like Bakhmut going to fall before the SpringOffensive™. And that will make that offensive rather difficult to pull off for the west.
It seems that the "road of life" Artemovsk - Chasov Yar was physically cut by Wagner fighters and the supply of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Artemovsk was complicated to the extreme. It is already becoming a tradition for the APU to get into the cauldron and then heroically try to carry out the extraction procedure.

Any thoughts on the possibility of victory day parade in Kiev on May 9th 2023?

Seems like it would be naive and foolish to think it's possible.

Ukrainians will be fighting Russian aggressors to death.
Well, that means they'll die.

Yes, Captain Obvious, aggressors will die. That's the whole point.
In Kyiv on May 9 2022, a traditional parade will be held in honor of the victory of the USSR over Nazi Germany. It is naive and foolish to doubt it.
I advise you to consult with your psychotherapist about this painful fixation, it seems you have quoted this post of mine a dozen times already. I'm sure it can be cured if therapy is started immediately.

He is perfectly sane. You however are a psychopath that posts smileys when people are killed and make jokes about the bombing of cities.

You were wrong, but I do not blame you. I am sure you will be wrong many more times in your life because you are constantly bombarded with false information and lies designed by people far smarter than you to make you feel safe, thinking that life in the RF has not changed, that RF is somehow what it was before...

Russia would need to attract as many as 1 million new migrants every year until the end of the century to maintain its current population levels, according to research cited by the RBC news website on Thursday.

Russia’s population has declined for the past four years in a row and dropped by half a million people last year alone, standing at 146.45 million people at the start of 2023.

Why would so many people flee the clear winner of the century??

Nah, it may fall or not, still quite unclear. It means little for a possible recovery of the Ukrainian land. When it comes it will come as 15 miles advances in Ukrainian stolen territory. But... no no... nothing of that is happening. Keep calm and try not to bomb Belgorod by mistake. Seems that the RF army is so eager in killing civilians that they may have gone berserk on their own people.

1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: April 21, 2023, 08:30:35 AM
Reading another post, it crossed my mind that AIs and particularly ChatGPT could potentially be trained with a large samples of games played by poker champions and then put it to auto-play with amateur on-line players. If this is successful, it could mean the end of human on-line poker playing except perhaps for the world masters and the like. Has anyone tried? Would it be possible??
1064  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: April 21, 2023, 08:28:01 AM
I would certainly would like to see ChatGPT to play poker with amateurs based on a learning sample of masters and see how it plays out. I am pretty sure it can beat most of the for-fun players and perhaps some of the semi-pros. It is a game of calculation, patterns and chance and there is a method to it. I think an AI would be perfectly suited to exploit it. Hint hint.
1065  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: April 21, 2023, 08:25:40 AM
So obviously all of these wins from roulette are just planted in the entire history that it exists and even if they weigh those balls it's still would have results they wanted? My life has all been a lie then. I'm not that of a roulette fan but very certain that I want to avoid this game in the future or never play at all.
Many will still ask for a proof and they will not believe on this easily, well this is how gambling works and even the top site have their own hidden strategy to get more wins over the gamblers. If you want to fee that you are safe from any cheating then play on physical casinos with the card games. Playing with slots are also possible to get cheated, just try to have fun and try to unseen this.
To conclude it then, is that they all cheat? Well, it would be luck then if you win on their games, sad that this is already going around but I think this may not stop those who really wants to gamble even if the risk of getting cheated is there. I think card games are way more honest or I'll just stay on sports betting.

Sounds like bad publicity. I do remember a group of people who were able to cheat on the casinos on the roulette. They made stats on where the ball fell and detected roulettes that had a slight tendency to make the ball fall on certain areas and they bet on these. They eventually got caught, but not before they got a very good retunr on their idea. I guess this is the opposite digital case.
1066  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: April 21, 2023, 08:23:15 AM
-snip-
What happens is that gambling requires a set of characteristics from the gambler that in a way are contradictory, after all we want to let go and feel an adrenaline rush when we gamble, but if we let those feelings to take control of ourselves then we may find ourselves losing a massive amount of money, so we need to find a way to restrain ourselves, but if we do this then the experience we may get out of gambling may not be as fulfilling as we want.
Actually we can keep ourselves from losing more money but on the other hand we can also get the experience we want.
We can gamble with limited funds and use them as well as possible to bet on various types of games that we think are quite challenging, so from there we can still get a lot of satisfying and satisfying experiences from gambling.
But unfortunately gamblers prefer to play one or two games that they like without wanting to try several other games that can provide a better experience and this is very unfortunate because it is impossible in the long run to just play and be experienced in that game.
That do you mean by "gambling requires a set of characteristics from the gambler that are in conflicting ways"?
Yes, gamblers want to have unrestrained fun, but that would lead to disaster, so we need to exercise our self-control to avoid that outcome, but by doing so we are no longer unrestrained, so gamblers need to strike a balance which can be difficult for many of them to get it right and in fact many never do, which is why we see some people out there becoming addicted to gambling, as even if they want they fail to restrain themselves when they gamble.

A gambler requires a couple of things: Understanding what he/she is doing very well and being able to act in accordance to it. I'll explain: You are playing a game that, if it is of chance, is designed to make you loose on average. If you think otherwise you are in the wrong place. Secondly, you need to know when to stop, because you can act on your conviction.
1067  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: April 21, 2023, 08:20:42 AM
I had my fair share of strange actions by bookmakers just to slow me down.

One of them for example, I don't want to name it. I was down quite some money on that site and finally had a stretch of some weeks where I won really everything. I remember well, at one point I won 24 out of my last 26 bets. So I recovered a high % of my losses in that time.

I decided to withdraw some, which usually takes 1-4 hours, and went to bed.

Next morning no money in my wallet and a message from them my account has be "selected for a routine security check" . At that point I was with this site for 2 years, always deposited/withdrew from the same wallet, always used the same IP, always bet on the same sports. But now that I finally won some money back they do this. Of course it only had impact on my withdrawals, I could still deposit, still make bets, just not play poker because you could collude with somebody losing you money to that person intentionally to withdraw.

Anyway, this "random check" took 3 weeks, and we are talking about a 5 digit amount stuck on the site. They didn't ask for KYC, just I should wait.

I suppose they tried to trigger me into making more bets so I could lose it back, but that didn't happen.

After all those weeks they finally cleared my account, guess they couldn't come up with an excuse to not pay me. I also didn't get any explanation or apology. As another fxxx you in my face they limited me, even though I was still down money overall.

Needless to say that I withdrew all my funds and moved on, these kind of tactics are just ridiculous. Of course it's not a scam but it was definitely shady.

This reminds me of some ICOs in the past. Everything was easy on regards to sending the money, but getting the token listed, sending it to the users and basically being able to sell your coins, particularly if you bounty-hunted, was nearly impossible. It seems that some sites are following this pattern and yes, it is a scam IMO if you want to see it that way.

Finland stupidity. Yank the tail of a bear already fighting, and who is arming up for major war?...

You need to improve your "metaphoring" skills. Finland is not twisting a tail, is joining the rest of the species that do not want to be eaten. Your argument is "you have to be scared of RF, so the best thing you can do is to stay very quiet and try not to get noticed". You are a coward, but also a very impractical one.

You talk so funny. Finland joins Nato. What better way to yank the tail of the already-warring bear? And then add a stupid, little fence that couldn't do anything, except tease the bear whose tail you are already yanking.

It's the fluoride the Finnish government puts in the free Finnish drinking water. It affects the brain, by dumbing it down, so that most Finns don't eve recognize what they are doing to themselves.

Cool
Bear, bear, bear Cheesy C'mon man Cheesy I hope you remember the Winter War.
I don't know how Russians can call stupid to Finns who outperform Russians in absolutely everything except military power. It's hilarious man.

Nothing seems to be happening south of Orikhiv. I writing this because there seems to be one guy insisting in saying that the Ukrainian army is advancing in the area and destroying the first line of defence of the RF army, but that cannot be true. It would show in the maps and the official news in Russia would be speaking about it. I guess is just the fog of war and misinformation.

It is not like the 37th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade has withdraw 15 kilometers back, is it?

South of Vuhledar the weather is fine, no rain, partly cloudy and a beautiful day to go picnic. I guess that would be a wise decision for the RF troops in the area. Go to Moscow, drink, eat, have fun... There is nothing happening there.

When the Ukrainians easily break through the Russian lines, the Ukrainians should totally go for it.  The Russians will be totally shattered and terrified and in a panic to get back to the East of the Ural mountains.  That will be the opportunity for Ukraine to go all-in.  Defiantly don't worry about the nay-sayers who warn of Mongolian tactics and any sort of a trap.  Such people are just Russian stooges for sure.

---

Meanwhile looks like the Russians may have not only brought down a (retired) NASA satellite, but landed the debris right on top of the city of Kiev.  Pretty nifty trick considering that Russia is so primitive that they have to storm trenches armed only with shovels.

Do you think so? I also heard that they are able to invoke the god of the sun and create solar winds that jam the comms of the enemy while sun-tanning RF troops. It is so mysterious how such a powerful masters of the war are spending months in taking a small to mid size city from the unprepared and technologically inferior Ukranians. Oh... hold on.. I get it... it is a Mongolian strategy!!!

Name a measuring method which proves that "Russia is doing just fine".
Here is an interesting article in the Washington Post about this. Its essence is that more than 90% of Western sanctions against Russia are a fiction. It seems that few Western companies want to lose the Russian market, even declaring the opposite in words. Maybe that's why the effectiveness of sanctions is so low?

There is no problem selling coffee to the RF citizens, nor even providing consulting. That is absolutely fine.
At least now you understand why people in Russia don't take to the streets to overthrow Putin. Very little has changed in their daily lives since the start of the special operation in Ukraine.

Now, try to find the technology you need to produce modern means of fighting and modern means of production and you will know why there are T-55s in the frontlines. What is next? T-34s?

The RF economy is unlikely to collapse big time like a super-nova style explosion. But the erosion is there, as it happened with the USSR: the young and prepared leave, the citizens have to be forced into conscription, growth is stagnant for a BRIC country...

But what is more, things are unlikely to go back to where they were. Putin's war of aggression has permanently damaged RF stance in the world.
I do not think that Russia has any serious problems with the production of modern types of weapons. I don’t know where you got this story about the T-55 from, but this is hardly a mass case, perhaps a single episode, or even a fabrication of Ukrainian propaganda. The Nizhny Tagil UralVagonZavod alone produces several thousand armored vehicles a year, including hundreds of T72B3 and T90M main battle tanks. This is several times more than the entire united West can transfer to Ukraine without compromising its own combat readiness.

False information. The RF is unable to produce "several thousands" of any type of tank, not even 500 per year! On top, lacks the components that make all the difference in the battlefield. You can even produce a T-90, but without the controlling system, good quality night vision and proper support from high-tech requiring combined weapons warfare it means nothing.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2023/02/17/the-russian-army-could-run-out-of-tanks-in-a-few-years-what-happens-then/

https://www.businessinsider.com/russia-demand-tanks-outstrips-production-by-factor-of-10-report-2023?r=US&IR=T#:~:text=In%

Daily life has not changed, except for those forcibly mobilised and the thousand of dead RF citizens that died for nothing in a foreign soil, the hundreds of thousands prepared Russians that left the country to avoid the draft, and the mothers of all the dead young and unprepared conscripts.

Winter is coming.

Quote
Russia has just one tank factory, which can produce around 20 new tanks every month.
Demand for tanks is now outstripping production by a factor of ten, according to The Economist.
Russia is losing around 150 tanks a month in Ukraine, and is becoming reliant on refurbished vehicles.

Quote
It’s a matter of intensive debate just how many recoverable tanks Russia has in storage. Novaya Gazeta estimated there are 8,000 “preserved” tanks. But one open-source analyst counted 10,000 T-72s, T-80 and T-90s in the war reserve.

The problem is, most of those tanks are lined up tread-to-tread in outdoor parks, where they’ve been exposed to rain and cycles of cold and hot that have rusted metal, rotted rubber and degraded sensitive optics.

The open-source analyst assumed just a third of the 6,900 stored T-72s are recoverable. Maybe half the 3,000 T-80s realistically can be restored. There also are a couple hundred new-ish T-90s in storage, most of which should be in reasonably good condition.

So in fact, Russia might have as few as 3,800 repairable tanks in reserve. A Russian source told Novaya Gazeta that Uralvagonzavod and Siberia-based Omsktransmash can restore 600 old tanks a year on top of the 250 new T-72s and T-90s Uralvagonzavod can build.
1072  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Population on: April 19, 2023, 10:55:47 PM
when we see that several countries are experiencing population decline, China and India are competing to dominate the population in their countries, but i believe that in the future this needs to be regulated in such a way that the population distribution throughout the world is evenly distributed.
In case you are not aware, Chain's population growth rate has been on a decline, and they have been worries to an extent that they want to boost the reproduction rate once again.

This is the same country that some years back had to limit its citizens from giving birth to more than 1 child per family. Perhaps the effect of that 1 child policy has kicked in.

China's population has suffered greatly for a few reasons. One of the main ones has been the single child policy, which imposed large fines on couples who had a second child and even forced abortions in the countryside, sometimes of women 8 months pregnant and the like.

Apart from an abuse of human rights, the tendency was to kill any girl baby and keep a boy and thus there are many more boys than girls. An example of an inhumane, wrong and sadistic policy.

The bear does not need twist tailing, is already an aggressive and expansionistic. The only thing that they seem to respect if sheer power. Like the one they could face if they attack NATO an article 5 makes it equivalent to an attack to all members.

You have no argument other than "be scared, do as told, do not defend yourself". It never made sense, but after the RF attacking Ukraine and trying to overturn the government, makes even less sense.

Keep telling yourself that hell does not exist.

Why? There's like gazillions of things that don't exist, it's stupid to waste time even thinking about it, unless it's a really good Sci-Fi movie or something... and hell isn't even that.

Maybe that will help you cope with the pain when you are down there burning.

There is a bit of a flaw in your argument. I can't be someplace that doesn't exist.

Hell does exist is a very real place. Burning is combined with cold in the most painful way. Horrid creatures make all short of noises that dumb your judgement and will make you wish that you could reset your brain and un-hear  the screaming and agonising. In this place, you are kept alive on either burnt or uncooked food and all hope is lost under a thousand back-bending psychological tortures.

Yes, it exists, it is my in-laws house.

Politics is the art of manipulating the masses to further the interests of the puppet masters, and all the time you need to convince the sheeple that they have free choice in deciding to continue their subservience.

Alternatively you can perfectly live of politics if you manage to convince a very large number of people that you are not really mainstream, that they are smarted than others for not believing in proven facts -  while defending well-known errors and conspiracy theories. So, basically, you will do great in politics if you tell people that they are actually not sheep, while actually treating them like sheep of the dumbest kind.

Glad to read you can eat salmon... I never considered that a luxury tbh.
1076  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is Xi really? The dove or the dog?? on: April 18, 2023, 11:09:01 PM
Xi would rather have peace than war. War is bad for business and China's plan is not invading the world, is actually buying it 99 cents at a time.

What is the problem? Well, now that war is fully blown, Xi cannot accept a peace in which his ally Putin looks like the looser of the conflict, because this would reinforce the idea of the superiority of NATO and would be a serious warning about his intentions in Taiwan. So, he is both the Dove and the Dog, but his situation is not to be envied, as he will loose a bit in pretty much any circumstance.
Will he be able to actualise the "Chinese dream" or will it be shaky at best since his diplomatic influence is not so strong seeing as his relationship with the West is a bit shaky??

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-65247965

Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, most political analysts never believed that Russia will attack Ukraine even when Russia was pilling up soldiers along their border with Ukraine. Most nations believed that the consequences of this war will deter Russia from attacking Ukraine. But they were all wrong. Despots like Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping are unpredictable.

...

Xi and Putin are not the same at all. Xi is much more predictable, Putin seems to have read the wrong books during COVID.

It almost seems like Trump might be himself paying his enemies to do what they are doing, simply to guarantee that he will make it into the presidency 2024.

Love it Kiss

Cool

BA, can you provide any proof whatsoever of all that you have said on this thread? I guess you can provide the same proofs as  Trump. He says the DAs of Manhattan are corrupted. Where is the proof? He says they are financed by Soros. Where is the proof? You say Hilary falsified records. Where is the proof? He says his layer engaged in misconduct, what proof has him offered?

It has become so usual from Trump and for you to say just anything, including criminal accusations and smearing of people with long and distinguished careers without adding anything to make it credible that it may seem like that is somehow acceptable. Well, it is not. It does not fly, it is not acceptable and even if you would to believe it, it does not make it true.

If you accuse, you have to prove it. Else you are just lying and smearing.
1078  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is losing? Finland joins NATO. on: April 17, 2023, 11:44:20 AM
How in the world dense are you? That you would think that the US and Nato are not at war with Russia. Look at all the money and armament that the US and Nato sent to Ukraine to fight Russia. World media is showing all about this. And you think that the US and Nato aren't fighting Russia? Lol. Cheesy

Finland into Nato is a show, just to make people like you think that Russia is losing, so you and others like you keep on supplying your governments with money to send to Ukraine. Average people of Finland and other Nato countries don't want a war with Russia. But they are getting it because the leaders are warmongers.
Your thoughts that we would be manipulated by our "leaders" is insane and from playbook of Kremlin propaganda. But sounds like you don't know how wars work either. There might be a "cold war", that's debatable but if nato actually joined in to actual war, oh boy you would know. And you are right that no one of us want the war, but most of us want to support Ukraine by arming them and supporting otherwise. If russia wants to start actual war because of it.

Russia withdrawing their forces and paying for their war crimes would be so much easier.

I would agree that it is probably much more difficult for the people of a smaller country like Finland to be overcome by the leaders and media of your country, but your own fear of the Stalin years and their possible return might cloud your judgment.

More than anything, Russia is fighting encroachment by the US and Nato. You remember that Russia dropped the USSR 'act' decades ago. But they did it for peace, not for the US providing continual encroachment to break them up... as the US is attempting to do through NATO and Ukraine.

The Ukraine problem is about the US becoming active through Ukraine, killing Russians and Ukrainians, like Stalin did many of his own people. US in Ukraine was is essentially Stalin in the body of Zelensky. That is why Russia invaded, and to stop the advancement and encroachment of the US on Russia through Nato.

Maybe Finland has some big armament hidden away there, but joining Nato just as Ukraine was trying to do, is really asking for it... even if you don't do a single thing for the next 100 years to advance against Russia.

It's not like Finland was simply acting for better trade relations with the US and Nato countries. It's like teasing a bear who is already slapping at an enemy, and arming up for major war. Finland stupidity.

...

Nah, just tales from BADecker land again. No justification,  just blurting fact-less statements to justify allowing the expansion of the RF by means of war.

Countries are perfectly right to defend themselves and they are watching how Putin's government went to an unnecessary war in 2014, then now to grab more land and obviously they are thinking "I could be next". Now, BADecker takes the "fly" answer, Finland takes the "stand" attitude.

Why is better the "stand" attitude? Because there is nowhere to "fly" to. Finland has a long border with an expansionist and aggressive neighbour. I am sure they would rather be somewhere else, but things are how they are.

Now, what is safer for Finland, be out of NATO and risk being the next Ukraine or be under the Article 5 umbrella? The answer could not be more simple.

The fact that this same thing happened before the previous Ukraine offensive does not mean anything. Nothing will happen, Ukraine has no troops, there will be no offensive. All in RF, drink, go to the parades and watch the official news. All is going perfect in the frontlines.

If you want I can leak a few NATO documents proving all this, so that you can sleep tight?
