401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop VS real success story on: October 25, 2017, 05:41:40 PM
Airdrop means free money as I google it . Is there any chance that companies that give or have free airdrop is a scam ?  Huh

Yes- airdrops may require private keys or some other personal information in order to participate. Of course, the airdrop then carries out malicious acts with the information they have been given.

In response to OP- I've been involved in several successful airdrops. However, most in earlier days of crypto. I got 25 CUBE when it launched, which I was able to sell for .005 each some years ago. DeepOnion (which I participate in) is also very lucrative (although it's realistically more of a signature campaign than an airdrop).
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Ethbet: Peer-to-Peer Ethereum-Based Dicing With No House Edge on: October 25, 2017, 05:31:18 PM
They scammed all signature holders... Grin
Still don't understand how they raised $1.5M

They all scammed bounty participiants, investors, btctalk user, everybody. The sum of $ 1.5 million of such an insecure project is very strange. I think, the bounty manager is as guilty as the project team. pass the ones who have lost.

I threw a bit of $$ into Ethbet based on 4chan hype recommendations. Noticed the hyped dried out pretty quickly and put up sells on HitBTC as soon as the exchange went up. Luckily I was able to turn a small profit, as holding would have accrued much loss. Really a shame that crypto markets have progressed so much and scammers are still getting away with huge paydays. Ethbet looked like it had some potential, too.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My portfolio: What to Hold, what to let go?? on: October 25, 2017, 03:27:10 PM
I would personally drop SALT, COSS, and GOLEM, and perhaps SC. WTC price looks really good right now, would be very healthy profit to sell that, too. If you are looking for other coins to pick up I would look into GameCredits, just announced a monumental partnership and price hardly budged. Either that or MGO, if you see more earning potential in MGO, that is.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is GameCredits not the best looking coin right now? on: October 24, 2017, 11:07:27 PM
Keep in mind that Gamecredits is going to have to disrupt Steam to accomplish this, that's not going to be easy. And once the god level devs at Valve start taking intrest in crypto they'll likely make their own currency, that is unless GAME can become a standard beforehand forcing them to integrate it.

This is blatantly false and shows there is no real understanding of what GameCredits does. GAME is attempting to make breach mobile gaming and esports wagering, two entities steam is not involved in whatsoever. Either way, Valve is one company, while Unity powers half of all mobile game developers.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Is GameCredits not the best looking coin right now? on: October 24, 2017, 07:25:57 PM
GameCredits (and by proxy, MobileGO) look too good to be true right now. Both these coins remained relatively unscathed in recent BTC climb to 6k, and yesterday, perhaps the biggest partnership for any crypto project took place between GameCredits and Unity:

"I'm incredibly proud to announce one of our most important partnerships ever. GameCredits Inc. has partnered with the multi-billion dollar gaming company Unity Technologies to provide the gamecredits store as a built in Unity standard. Some of Unity's most popular games include Temple Run, Pokemon Go, Rust, Hearthstone and Assassin's Creed Identity. They also are responsible for over 50% of all mobile game development (34% of the top 1000 games), about 140,000 games total. The Unity SDK we announced before is just a small piece of the puzzle. Rather than just allowing developers to build apps for our store, publishing to our store will be the same process of uploading a Unity game to google play or the app store. Several Unity developers have been working alongside our developers in our office to make this integration possible. At the same time our teams have agreed to work together to create a unity application that will allow any unity game to have esports capabilities in our companies applications. Essentially adding a simple noninvasive plugin to a unity game will allow gamers to wager and bet on that game using our technologies."

I'm wickedly confident that GameCredits IS going to disrupt the global gaming industry and when that happens it's going to be one of the largest projects in cryptocurrency. Imagine the impact when half of all mobile devs who are Unity have the option to 1) automatically publish their games to the G Store and 2) add MGO wagering to their application. I'm amazed both these coins are still as cheap as they are.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund [$53 Million] - Decentralized Mobile Gaming Solutions on: October 24, 2017, 06:37:25 PM

Is Unity on board with you guys for the wagering app as well or just for the part of releasing their games to the Gstore?

There is going to be a plugin available to game devs that gives them the option of allowing wagering on their games. This plugin (from how it has been explained) will be non-intrusive and easy to implement for the developers.

Also, been trying to sell HTMLCOIN at 3sats for a couple of weeks now. I think I'm FINALLY about to have my sale go through. Putting those suckers into MGO, hopefully it doesn't blast off in the meantime...
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund [$53 Million] - Decentralized Mobile Gaming Solutions on: October 24, 2017, 03:59:31 AM
One of our biggest concerns for MGO is getting games onto the wagering application that can properly operate in an esports environment. Now we've been building out our own infrastructure to make this possible, but it's still an incredibly difficult task. Partnering with unity allows us to create a small non -invasive (but monumentally important) plugin or API that allows unity games to become competitive compatible on our esports app. Now we know we won't get every game on unity. But Unity is responsible for 34% of the top 1000 games, over 50% of all mobile game development, and has reached billions of devices. Our goal is to appeal to even just a small portion of developers to get potentially thousands of games, of unitys 140+ thousand titles.

Sorry for being absent. I just landed in NY today after my trip to Belgrade. If you haven't seen the photos, you can check out my twitter: https://twitter.com/jack_kuveke

And will be posting more and more content in the days to come.

Super excited to see what comes of this massive partnership. I, personally, just downloaded Unity and plan on screwing around with it until winter break, and potentially putting something together. I've got a couple years of Computer Science under my belt now, might as well put my teachings to the test Tongue.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR ⚡ with DeepVault 🚀 FREE Airdrops 🚀 15 of 40 Rounds 🚀 on: October 23, 2017, 02:56:46 AM
Registration is temporarily closed. Stay Tuned!!.

when it will be back? any info guys?

Registrations will reopen for the airdrop on the 16th round, which is in 2 weeks. You can read more about it at the official DeepOnion forums:

https://deeponion.org/community/threads/registration-is-temporarily-closed-stay-tuned.4687/

My concerns with the new "auto accept" function of the airdrop registration is it's going to leave the door open for more abusers. Obviously, this isn't the intended case but if it takes no time or effort to get approved after your application is sent in why wouldn't people take a few hundred $ profit and gtfo?
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HTMLCOIN (HTML5) NOW AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC on: October 22, 2017, 07:51:00 PM
again price dropped, whats going on , i dont understand..

You would think with whitepaper release we'd see more people on board. Sadly no, growing sell pressure at 2 sats. I was planning to sell at 3 but looks like my order just missed on Bleutrade. Hopefully we'll see price rebound but large amount of people selling @2 is concerning.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR ⚡ with DeepVault 🚀 FREE Airdrops 🚀 15 of 40 Rounds 🚀 on: October 21, 2017, 11:32:37 PM
Hey guys, I'm new to the DeepOnion community and really enjoying myself thusfar. This place really is special, and I can't wait to see what's to come. Anyways, hoping someone can answer my simple question: Does my wallet need to stay open and connected to the network in order to stake? I'm running from a laptop while in college and can't have it running 24/7, not to mention school wifi is shoddy and frequently drops. Thanks!
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Experiences with CoinsMarkets.com? on: October 21, 2017, 11:24:47 PM
Hey everyone, couldn't find an announcement thread for CoinsMarkets so piggy-backing off of this one! I put a bit of EmberCoin in my account earlier today, very cool to give people automatic staking privileges. One question I have that I'm struggling to find an answer to is will my coins continue to stake while they are tied up in a sell order? Can I put my EMB for sale and still get staking rewards? Or will I be unable to stake with them? Thanks!
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⭐ CHIMAERA - REAL Blockchain Gaming on: October 21, 2017, 02:17:27 AM
games on the blockchain? sounds pretty cool.

any idea when we'll be able to play some? i'd like to see new stuff like huntercoin.

i think they make test game fast but LOL AND STARCRAFT2 take time develop. might be game already made can work just connect blockchain??
snailbrain is possible?

Yes it is,

and it's more likely very simple games will be released before than what is projected.

Are we taking requests?  (I know I have my favourite game, and it's very easy.)

yes if people have some suggestions..

(i know what yours is, i think)

Advance Wars isn't the simplest of games but it is a Turn Based Strategy, so I don't think it would be entirely difficult to implement it on Chimaera tech. For those unaware- it's a series of games on gameboy advance and Nintendo DS. Dual Strike is probably the best in the series. Would be awesome to play it online for CHI wagers.

It would also be feasible to incorporate this project: http://battlecoin.org/ (bomberman for Bitcoin). Seems like the dev is giving up on it after finishing the project and being unable to see any popularity.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR ⚡ with DeepVault 🚀 FREE Airdrops 🚀 15 of 40 Rounds 🚀 on: October 20, 2017, 05:54:06 PM
Happy to say I have received my first airdrop payment!

I understand that I need to hold 90% of my coins in my wallet to adhere to airdrop rules. My question then is am I allowed to stake the coins I receive? And can I sell my staking profits or must I hold 90% of that, too?
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund [$53 Million] - Decentralized Mobile Gaming Solutions on: October 19, 2017, 06:46:38 PM
Look today volume guys🙈🙈🙈🙈 another disaster

Low volume = not many people dumping

And = nobody buy and interested in token !

this is much more true than the other comments. How would someone dump if there is no volume at all?

Have you even checked Liqui? There is a huge ass buy-wall anyone can dump into. Selling is perfectly easy right now... buying is difficult because there just aren't many fucking sell orders. Let's chill with the fud alright buddy?

hmmm, sadly the price on Novaexchange is still going down. Fortunately we are not looking at the short-term price Smiley. Hopefully after 18 November when the X2 hardfork-drama is behind us, all the alts, including DO will recover. Obviously still bullish on the long-term value of DeepOnions! Cheesy

hi sir, what's with 18 november bitcoin hardfork?  isn't the hardfork happening on 25 october?   after 18 november, will there be no scheduled/panned bitcoin hardfork anymore?

Hi! There are 2 upcoming forks in the short term. Bitcoin Gold is branching off on 25 October. But I don't see this as a big issue. The big one is the 2X (Segwit2X) fork on the 18th of November.

Bitcoin gold is really just a scam coin airdropped to bitcoin holders, but as a fork and not a snapshot. I don't think it will be worth much. My price prediction is $50-100 01.01.2018.

2X is a hostile take over attempt that hopefully, and most likely will fail. You can already sell your 2x coins on bitfinex. The current price is 0.12551 bitcoin. Hopefully the 2x fork never happens, but if it do I hope it don't cause much problems for bitcoin.

I think, realistically speaking. what's really going to drive DO's price up is exchange listing. Novaexchange is fine, but not to be trusted by larger investors. Whales just aren't logging in to Novaexchange. Imagine if we got listed on Binance. DeepOnion would rise exponentially!
It doesn't look like the Fork is doing something to the ONION'S price, it's stays at the level of it's price close to $1. After fork it could possibly go to $2-3 price again.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR ⚡ with DeepVault 🚀 FREE Airdrops 🚀 14 of 40 Rounds 🚀 on: October 19, 2017, 05:14:22 AM
Why is everyone so fixated on the price? The coin is not even done with it's distribution yet.  We are literally only a few months in.  People these days expect to be millionaire overnight.  Totally unrealistic and no patience.

I agree with your outlook but price/volume is a good indicator of more and more people taking notice of DeepOnion.  Ultimately, adding to our community is our runway to greater things so thats why price/volume is important now despite you and I having no intention of selling our Onions.

With the fluctuating coin releases (due to airdrops), the ability to get free coins (from airdrops), current bounties etc... I think price is a far too unstable / improper measure of interest.

A correct metric would be the social activity - Official forums, airdrop participants or even this thread.

I think that is a good approach to viewing DeepOnion from a wider scope. Of course- DO community is phenomenally involved, from every angle. I think there is definitely going to be some exciting price movements post-airdrop!
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⭐ CHIMAERA - True Blockchain Gaming - Private Pre-sale Open on: October 19, 2017, 04:45:41 AM
Hi,

A short announcement, containing important information:

After careful consideration we have decided to delay the public pre-sale. We are accepting  private participation requests.
We’ll continue further preparations and our marketing efforts will be extended.

The projected timeline / roadmap remains unaffected.
The amended public pre-sale date will be announced shortly.

Join our Telegram channel to stay updated on our upcoming community events.

Be sure to check out our bounty campaign for a slice of 3.5% of the Total Coin Supply.

Ayalies

This is very disappointing to hear. Will there be a lower cap to be accepted as a private pre-sale participant because of this? The number quoted previously was 30k Euros. Unfortunately I don't have that much to put into any project, but definitely still plan on contributing a sizeable amount (in my opinion) in the 4 figure range.

Official Announcement: Blockchain Release and Swapping Process Update.

Dear HTMLCOIN holders,

RE: Official Announcement: Blockchain Release and Swapping Process Update.

With pride, we announce important updates regarding the HTMLCOIN swapping process and the strengthening of our team.

As we have previously discussed, we have a number of early adopter partners who are developing their projects based on the HTMLCOIN blockchain, and over the last few days we have held a number of meetings with them which have resulted in some exciting new developments.

In short, we have agreed to collaborate with our partners developer teams to help us with the  the delivery of a FULLY FEATURED PHASE 2 Smart Contracting platform earlier than originally planned December 17, 2017.

For us, the most important considerations in our decisions for this have always been:

1) The stability and security of the currency

2) A satisfied, engaged, and inclusive community

3) A blockchain with real world applications

During our discussions it became clear that once all the developer features of our blockchain platform are available, our partners will be able to establish an early market advantage, something which is critical in the tech industry we are engaging with.  We cannot deny them this, and have taken the decision to accept their help, re-plan and accelerate to a full feature delivery with a complete smart contracting platform before November 20, 2017.

By completing the delivery and  swap within this time frame, we believe our partners will be able to finalize and bring forward announcements regarding their own white papers, funding activities, and pre-sales.

This is a great leap forward for us all, enabling the original plan of a 2-speed 160 day swap to move to a  complete full-featured platform within the next 40 days, including wallets, explorer’s, developer tools, EVM capabilities and other ancillaries! We hope this news leaves you as excited as it does us!

Our own developers are now working across the larger team of our new partners, and in response to your request for more visibility we will present progress updates on our GITHUB site with regular Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions, video updates with the team and more devs across social media sites.

What we are doing is groundbreaking for a community project, and committing to a swap dates has always been a challenge.  You have heard Simon discussing the technical challenges on our FB Live and on Telegram, we believe sharing the schedule and progress on GITHUB as we move forward will give you the opportunity to see the swap date approaching and make your own decisions as an individual and with your community and friends.

We are positively surprised by all the help that has been offered to us and are looking forward to the future with great excitement. We want to add that none of this would have been possible without all the wonderful contributions from you, our community. Keep the positive energy flowing and share it with others. Ahead of us is a bright future where we will be able to admire what we have all created.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions you might have. We would be happy to hear from you. And if you would like to contribute to the project, then we encourage you to sign up as a volunteer via dev@htmlcoin.team

We are listening!

All the best!

HTMLCOIN Core team

None of this means ANYTHING.

Stay away from this coin people.

Just curious- why do you feel this way? I've traded HTML between 2 and 3 sats for a while now and it's been all good to me.

Also, really looking forward to the whitepaper release. Hoping that we can get some added buy pressure in place and bring some new people into the ecosystem!
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund [$53 Million] - Decentralized Mobile Gaming Solutions on: October 17, 2017, 04:21:05 PM
Worldofbattle ICO + eijin ICO and another one (can't recall the name yet)

They all look very very similar to MGO, ...you realize that if any of these three ICO manage to get on a big exchange before mgo, that they will swoop off all the mgo potential ! I don't know why I feel like this is exactly what's goi to happen ...

I think you're blatantly talking out of your ass. World of Battles is a non-threat to MGO or anyone lmao. As far as Enjin goes... it's not even a competitor to MGO. Do you know what Enjin Coin strives to do? Have you read the white paper? I've been a part of Enjin for close to a decade, I've got a pretty good idea of what it is. Enjin Coin is a cash grab- solving a solution to a problem with their platform that doesn't exist. Enjin Coin is nothing more than a community token for its members (many of whom are children and don't understand crypto!) Either way, the only overlap between us and them is we're both targeting gamers.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Decentraland(Mana) on: October 16, 2017, 07:42:32 PM
I was somewhat interested in the project but turned off when it was made known that 5 whales essentially purchased the entire token/land in decentraland. Most people seemed to get turned off by this actuality, and I doubt it's going to rebound unless they figure out how to phase off the few individuals that control the entire project.

Same for me! The coin and concept looks promising but it is kinda pointless to invest in a coin when the entire token/land is purchased by only a couple whales. They have way too much power if you ask me. This coin would have been way more interesting if more consumers owned and used this coin in the virtual world and not just by whales that control everything. Really like the project so lets hope it will all work out in 2018

As I understand it, I don't exactly see decentraland gaining traction. It seems to essentially serve as a much more exclusive and expensive alternative to Second Life, with, I assume, much less capabilities for the users. Now, I don't know as much about this project as I could, so I may be entirely wrong, but I personally don't see this succeeding int he long run.
