1261  Economy / Gambling / Re: Difference between Straight & Parlay on: September 13, 2015, 08:09:36 PM
Parlay is tooooooo difficult to win cause if you pick many matches, there could be something unexpected, you should know that, and even we can lose money on straight, how can we earn easily on parlay?

Once I bet big on parlay in US Open first round, all of those 7 matches should be easy matches, but I lost 3 of 7, damn those are unexpected, so if we wanna win big, we should bet a little and accumulate many wins to big wins, it is still not easy.

I prefer straight cause you can win big in one straight bet, like I bet 7.1 btc @2.38 odds on marin cilic VS tsonga in US Open, and I got 17.1 btc on one bet, but you can't win big from parlay cause betting a lot in parlay bet is tooooo risky, like I said I bet 5btc in US Open first round, and I lost 5 btc which I thought that should be very easy money.  Cheesy

The point of Parlay isn't to earn "easy money". The idea is that you do your research on games for the entire day, and look for the mismatches. You shouldn't expect to win any time, or even most of the time, but if you just win every now and then you will earn huge profits. With just a small bet you can earn 1 Bitcoin or even more, and if you look at it this way, you risk just a small amount of money for a huge reward.
1262  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SteamBitShop.com ● Easily buy any Steam game with bitcoin or altcoins on: September 05, 2015, 12:53:47 AM
Dang, wish I knew about this before I bought a Steam Giftcard with Bitcoin, I could have saved a bit on Rocket League.

Any chance Duck Game will be added to the list of games available?
Yep, in fact you can buy anything from Steam using the request page:
https://steambitshop.com/?page=request&search=Duck+Game
The price listed is accurate in this case.

Huh, wonder why I didn't notice it when I searched for it. I'm a little low on BTC right now, but definitely going to purchase it when I next get paid! Hopefully I can convince a few of my gaming friends to get it as well.
1263  Economy / Economics / Re: This is how 0.037 Bitcoins looks like in Venezuela on: September 05, 2015, 12:51:56 AM
0.037 Bitcoins o almost 12 Us$

It loos like a lot of money, but is the equivalent to half of the monthly minimum wage

This statement right here is why participating in the Bitcoin community makes sense for those living in countries like Venezuela.

.037 BTC is two weeks wage for many Venezuelans. In other words, less than .1 BTC a month. How many people make more than that from these forums alone? The Bitcoin community provides far better wages to people who simply participate in the community. That's the beauty of Bitcoin.
1264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What vision do you have for bitcoin on: September 05, 2015, 12:48:41 AM
I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this thread. In my opinion, if one of these two predictions becomes a reality, the other will take place. I don't think it's possible to have one extreme without the other.

Anyways, what I personally feel is the best possible future for use case is bridging living inequalities worldwide. We already see on a small scale that Bitcoiners in third world countries that participate in simple things such as signature campaigns can earn more than from a working class job in their country. If Bitcoin was used as a payment for these individuals on a larger scale, the standard of living could greatly increase worldwide.
1265  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach 500 USD again ? on: September 05, 2015, 12:44:31 AM
I think it's most likely that a price of $500 will take place at some point around the halving that should take place in middle of 2016. Even if the actual reward change isn't a steep enough change to force an increase to $500, the speculation surrounding it will be, if even for a moment.
1266  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Running a poker/dice site with bitcoin gambling in the USA? on: September 04, 2015, 01:16:14 AM
YEah the Micon case is the one which comes to mind. Actually you wouldn't face much problems if you stay annymous and not publically reveal yourself like Micon did. You will also have to make sure they don't end up tracking you.

That would be difficult if/when the site got big enough to where it became a problem that law enforcement would look to correct. Even if Micon didn't reveal his identity. I would imagine that a similar outcome would have taken place.

Realistically, the only viable strategy running a poker site in US is to do so with proper licensing.
1267  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Special trains for ‘rude’ Chinese on: September 04, 2015, 12:58:50 AM
Whatever reality might be, this does look a little bit racist.

Yeah, this was my first reaction to this story. There is such a deep history of racism and segregation in the US, I highly doubt there is any serious attempt that will be made to segregate public transport. And even if there was, it would more than likely be deemed unconstitutional and shutdown early on.
1268  Economy / Speculation / Re: $220-240 range.. on: September 03, 2015, 06:29:01 PM
Holds VERY strongly here.. very strongly..

Perhaps time to buy some coins eh..

looks like that will be the price range of bitcoin for the coming months till end of this year.
but of course if it increases to $280 again i'll be very grateful

I really don't know why people care so much about a few dollars either way. I won't be buying for a few more weeks, I doubt we even started the dump yet but it will likely come before we bounce back 'if we bounce back.

$280 is nothing to be very greatful about friend and that won't be happening this year.

Source?

>Implying you can cite a prediction

Anyways, I personally think we will see 300 at least one more time this year. Price hit 300 twice so far right? On pace for a third time by Dec 31st. Whether or not the price holds at 300, I couldn't tell you.
1269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever attended a bitcoin meetup? on: September 03, 2015, 06:23:30 PM
I attended a few meetups so far, in Brussels and Ghent. Wish I could do more of them but real life obligations are preventing me from doing so atm.

That situation will change soon though Smiley

Also attended an informal meetup in London earlier this year, was tons of fun Smiley

What were the typical turnouts in the meetups you went to? Did a lot of people show up or only a handful? Also, what did the meetups typically consist of? Would a newbie be welcome to participate or would it be over their head? Learn any valuable information or was it more of a social gathering than anything?
1270  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTB Potential Full Member / Sr. Member on: September 03, 2015, 06:18:31 PM
I'm still looking for full member with potential activity of 240+(sr member). I'm also looking for members with potential activity of 120+.
Just post here or shoot me a private message!

I have two full member accounts that are both potential Senior Members (140~ posts and 120~ potential activity). How much are you offering for such accounts?

1272  Other / Meta / Re: What is my trust rating? on: September 03, 2015, 06:14:44 PM
I see 24

I also see the same rating. I think I'm still using the default trust list, so I assume it appears as 24 for all users who haven't edited their trust list.
1273  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTB Guild Wars 2 Gold USA Servers on: September 02, 2015, 01:37:08 AM
Someone told me GW2 gold typically sells between 8-12 cents per gold. Do you have experience trading at this price in the past? I personally haven't traded GW2 gold before but I understand that this is well below market price from what I understand.
1274  Economy / Gambling / Re: Someone should make agar.io for bitcoins on: September 02, 2015, 01:31:22 AM
Hey Guys - check out our new Bitcoin-Game - the new experience of online gaming with bitcoins! Chop'em all and earn your coins by eating the others and becoming the largest Player on the server!

www.chopcoin.io

Do you guys feature any sort of cheat protection? Unfortunately I haven't tried the site out myself yet, but if it is a clone of agar.io, there are many bots out there that basically run an algorithm to automatically play the game for the player. If there is no defense to such abuse, you could expect many cheaters to take advantage of legitimate players.
1275  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: September 02, 2015, 01:27:16 AM
In bitcoin earnings I can only make an average of 2 million satoshis.

But in real life earnings , I can make $60-70 a week.
2 million satoshi every week? so you mean that you earn coins by using faucets? try signature campaign and compare your earnings in faucets and in signature campaign and i think you can get more coins because your rank is full member.

Yes Im doing signature campaign. In Yobit , FM rank can get a maximum of BTC0.028 a week but Im not posting 7 days a week because I have work so my average is only BTC0.02. I like to join Coinomat and Coinoindex but unfortunately they are close to new paticipant.

Since you are a full member, I would highly suggest looking into a more selective campaign outside of Yobit. Yobit primarily caters to lower level accounts, and the campaigns that are restricted to full member+ pay much higher. Bitmixer.io, for example, features automatic sign ups and payments, and you can earn up to .035 BTC per week for just 50 posts.

There are also other campaigns that pay more than Bitmixer, I would highly suggest looking into it.
1276  Economy / Economics / Re: Low BTC price is good for Bitcoins at the moment. on: September 02, 2015, 01:23:06 AM
NO not relly if the user is not in United States then what you are saying dosent applies here.
for the people who live in asia and who earn 300 $ per month and live their live with that.
what about that ?

Im from asia 300$ /month is enough for me Smiley
the cost live not high like in US, i can live with 150$ /month

I am a thrifty person and I am a person who likes to save my money

damn, make mes want to move to asia.. I pay $2k a month for rent alone in california.

And thats outside from the basic bills.. etc.

Yeah, USA is one of the highest costs of living in the world. On the other hand, countries like Indonesia, India, Venezuela, etc. all have costs of living low enough to where doing work on the forums alone can give you a sustainable wage to live off of. That's one of the great things about Bitcoin IMO, there are many microtasks available that provide legitimate wages to people in less developed countries.
1277  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com IS A SCAM YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY DONT PLAY THERE! on: September 01, 2015, 07:21:54 PM
I can't believe you people are defending this cancerous corporation right here!!! If OP LOST money to Bustabit, they are CLEARLY a scam!!

In reality though, Bustabit has been around for quite some time and they are one of the most reputable sites on the market, at least in my opinion. I've personally spent a good deal of time there and never had any sort of problems whatsoever.

1280  Economy / Gambling / Re: Thousands of dollars for free? on: August 29, 2015, 12:50:01 AM
Any reason why these tournaments are not available through the Betcoin poker client? I just logged in through there, and couldn't find any of the mentioned freerolls. After downloading the ACR client, however, it did appear. Does this mean we can only play through ACR? And if so, can we still withdraw via Bitcoin any winnings we may achieve?
