1381  Economy / Lending / Re: altcoin as collaterral does not make any sense explain why ppl dont use exchange on: August 09, 2015, 05:27:30 AM
From what other people have said before me, it appears that taking out loans and freezing altcoins is seen as a better investment than selling altcoins. Honestly though, I feel like a much better mindset for taking out a loan and using altcoins as a collateral is to alleviate the danger of the coins crashing in value. If you use a coin that can jump in value enough to use it as collateral rather than selling, it can also crash and burn. If you have an active loan while your altcoin dies, you can simply default on the loan and say goodbye to your altcoins, which are now worth much less than the loan.
1382  Economy / Speculation / Re: Quit your holdings of ponzi bags, DOOMED you is!!! on: August 09, 2015, 05:22:49 AM
No, not really. It's bargain time =D

Dang, I was half expecting a full on buttcoin troll post, and looking forward to the outraged reactions. Completely agree with you though, I don't see Bitcoin being this low for quite some time. Buy now, while you still can!
1383  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: FREE 50 mBTC at new Virtual World Bitcoin Casino on: August 07, 2015, 07:01:37 AM

I also found another bug. In "Casino Hold'em", the site allows you to play without having the funds to place a bet. What I mean is that if you have enough to place an ante, but not double the ante, you can still place an ante, but have to fold because you don't have the funds to bet (same amount as ante), which basically just eats up your money.

Thank you for this information, I have forwarded it to our web team, apologies for the inconvenience

Any chance I can get at least the amount I lost refunded to me? Most casinos award bounties for bugs, but at the very least you should repay any unfair losses accumulated due to the bug.

We are in the process of structing the bounty system, once complete you will be contacted directly.

Awesome, thanks for the update!

1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Mining - Decentralized MMO and Crypto Game on: August 06, 2015, 08:39:36 AM
Is there any way to input the Huntercoin blockchain from the download into the client without the use of premium third party software? I just want to boot up the game and give it a shot before I devote any real money into it. I'm willing to put in the HUC required to get started, but I would like to see what it's all about before I put in more capital.

you can use the QT to play but you will be at a disadvantage..

you can also use the unity3d client to connect to the daemon/qt free of charge.

http://forum.huntercoin.org/index.php/topic,1552.0.html

How do I input the Huntercoin blockchain into QT or a unity3d client? I am currently syncing the network manually, but that will take several days.

Just got my promotion, have 1% of my rollover requirement complete, and with a slight profit! Hopefully I can hold it out until I can cash it out Tongue Anyways, slight bug I found with the site. Every time you play a game for fun, and then click to switch over to real money, you get signed out, and it makes you sign back in. This would be fine, but it takes you back to the home page, so you have to go weed through the games to find the one you were just playing, which is quite a hassle.

EDIT: If you would like to award bounties my account is huffmanzane29@gmail.com, and my BTC address is 17o4Dyfc7GMbwMgaeXhQQ74nqDcdmP7RVM

The "Horse Racing" game did not work for me. The increments for bids was 5 mBTC, but I manually wrote in a 1 mBTC bet and then hit start race. Not sure if it was due to betting below 5 mBTC, but the animation never appeared, and I had to close out. I'm not sure if my horse even won, but it appears my mBTC was eaten.

1390  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: August 06, 2015, 02:30:32 AM
I'm not a huge fan of the whole mindset "don't sell because look at what it could be!" If and when Bitcoin reaches huge prices of $10k+, sure, you won't ever have to transfer your Bitcoin into USD, ever. However, in the meantime, people should be encouraged to spend and trade their Bitcoins, because holding does nothing for spreading Bitcoin.
1391  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Account price estimator on: August 06, 2015, 02:27:37 AM
As someone who has dabbled in account trading and plan to continue my endeavors in the future, this is a great tool and I thank you for your work, OP. It's great to have a tool to estimate account worth rather than going off of my own (un)educated guess Smiley
1392  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Options to Exchange Bitcoin to Paypal? on: August 06, 2015, 02:22:27 AM
The best solution is localbitcoins.
try https://www.virwox.com/ (high fees too, but trusted).

Another question: Will PayPal freeze my account if i use it for Bitcoin conversions?

Thanks.

No i think.
this is how your paypal account freeze.

~iki

What are the fees associated with virwox? I looked into it a while ago and didn't understand the site (had no idea what Second Life was at the time), however now that I understand how the exchange functions, it may be a viable process. If you have any history with virwox you would like to share, that would be great!
1393  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The road to the End of Religion: How sex will kill God on: August 06, 2015, 02:08:19 AM
Oh my God... this thread is hilarious. Expert trolling OP, keep up the good work. As silly as most of these threads are, the reactions by people trying to legitimately argue this claim is too good. Priceless.

Hey bud, if you read a few posts in before yours, you would notice that this campaign is closing. Just a heads up, if I were you I would look to sign up elsewhere, since I doubt they will be accepting any new participants right before it closes.
1395  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blockchain! They steal me there my firsts bitcoin :P on: August 06, 2015, 01:44:21 AM
it's not blockchain's fault, i believe it's yours and your wallet was probably hacked. Maybe your device/computer had some viruses and malwares or maybe you put your details on a phishing site

No, there are definitely huge security flaws with blockchain. The site should not be used as a wallet, and there are even many superior block explorer alternatives as well. Blockchain should not be the place to store your Bitcoins!!!
1396  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxing is legalized robbery on: August 06, 2015, 01:42:07 AM
Yeah, I hate it when thieves break into my house, steal my money; then use it to build roads, pay firefighters, and educate my kids. Fricken thieves.

I sense the sarcasm.

But most of that money we dont really get to see how effective our money goes into that route. I wish there was some progress report or a universal meter everyone can see on how a state tax is being used or something.

Although there have been questions about how efficiently tax money is spent, the sentiments of his post are accurate. Taxation is necessary, giving up percentages of our wealth may not be fun, but otherwise, there would be insufficient funds for things like public utilties, as well as national defense. Volunteers in an ancap society would not be nearly a large enough entity to replace a government figure that develops the society.
1397  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blockchain! They steal me there my firsts bitcoin :P on: August 05, 2015, 10:29:17 PM
After broad agreement that blockchain.info is one of the best if not the best online wallet - suddenly the recent couple of weeks we have horror story after horror story and people saying they have closed their account there etc..

I wonder if some competitor(s) wallet(s) are targeting blockchain.info and trying to capture customers...??

Blockchain.info used to suffice, but their technology is out of date and extremely vulnerable. It's pretty well accepted now adays that Blockchain is not an adequate wallet, and it has been this way for a while now. @OP, I would recommend not using blockchain.info in the future.
1398  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: A little more proof the Cloudthink miner is fake... Shilled reddit accounts on: August 05, 2015, 07:06:39 AM
How is this site still a thing? Has there not already been extensive proof uncovered that Cloudthink is a scam? I haven't talked to anyone within the Bitcoin community that has regarded as anything other than a scam.
1399  Economy / Services / Re: Member here hiring signature space. on: August 05, 2015, 05:33:41 AM
The secondstrade campaign (the one I'm in) will give you that much for 20 posts a week. 100 posts a week and you'll get 5 times as much with your current rank.

Just curious, why do you participate in the Secondstrade campaign as a full member? There are many, higher paying campaigns for full member+. Bit-x and bitmixer, for example, are both automated as well as pay per post, and have significantly better rates.

Is this still a thing? I had high hopes for a bomberman clone with betting capabilities, but with no activity in three months, it looks like this is a dead project. I also can't log into the site. Has anyone logged in here recently, or is this project abandoned?
