401  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 30, 2013, 03:24:49 PM
I'd argue the blockchain is supposed to do whatever people can do with it. Anything unwanted is a design flaw, not a user flaw.
+1

if this kind of transaction bothers anyone, he should press for mandatory fees or something like that, but as long as the protocol allows it, then you should blame the protocol.

The catch here is ASICMINER is quite capable of including their own txids into blocks to ensure they are submitted. Which imho there is nothing wrong with, they are doing the work and as many have said can include whatever txids the protocol can support.
402  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] TAT.ASICMINER New Micro-share Passthrough! on: May 30, 2013, 03:16:25 PM
I had a whole reply put together on my laptop and the battery died, so I'm stuck retyping this on my phone.  Sad

Here's what happened:

Div 1: scheduled
Div 1: started processing a minute later
Div 1: cancelled (~10 mins after it started processing)
Div 2: scheduled
Div 1: completed
Div 2: completed

The cancel failed because the div was already being processed.  I have fixed the system so you can now see when a div is in progress and it will not cancel.

I have reimbursed TAT for the double div and I have initiated a recovery process whereby anyone that received a double dividend will see a balance reduction of whichever was the lesser of the two dividends.  This way no one gets burned if they traded between when the first div processed and when the second div processed.

The site's going to lose ~1 BTC on this bug, but hopefully this resolution is as fair as possible to everyone involved.

Cheers

Im happy with that , fair is fair.
403  Bitcoin / Hardware / In which Mem trolls Kano and kano predictably bursts into flames on: May 30, 2013, 12:37:31 PM
Avalon have been dragging their heels on sending him any hardware (and today stated they won't send him an Avalon but just some different 6GH/s device) so for the last 4 months Avalons have been pretty unreliable.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=140539.msg2291673#msg2291673

It would be in your best interest also of course.

(Yes, I do not want an Avalon or an Avalon clone Tongue)

Q> Whats an asic thread without Kano flouncing around like a big sook or demanding free hardware ?
A> One where he already has been paid.
404  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon mining rig CLONES available for preoder (85+ GH/s) on: May 30, 2013, 12:27:23 PM
Funny how the 2 members involved and the one who's willing to go visit their factory and vouch for them are all registered between 7-9 May and have post counts between 11-13  Cheesy Wink

Its a concern indeed.

i really don't want to tarnish some Reputation because of my Postcount,
i'm not affiliated with them,
usually i visit BFL or Imageboards
i signed up here for a x6500 Offer

But i'm sure there will be someone with more Credibility who will also investigate,

So Please, not everyone with low Post Count is a Scammer or a Troll

Of course not, but without a real world ID for the operators or the visitors and no prior history in the forums you have no credibility until a product is shown.

Im watching myself with cautious interest, I do have some euro contacts through friends and may be able to organize a visit via proxy.
The proxy visitor would be recording some video of:
* the intial meeting
* whatever areas of the factory you permit
* (this is a must) a working unit on a test bench for my proxy to point at a mining pool that is provided at the time of testing. Ideally the proxy visitor would also be able to *fiddle* with said demo hardware then pay for the unit for me and collect (he would organize post directly to myself).

So there it is, let me know what you think while I see if a friend has anyone in / near switzerland right now.

408  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: List of ongoing scams on: May 30, 2013, 07:39:14 AM
I think we need to sync information.

I see you listing many casinos that while not provably fair have not been proven to be scams.
I prefer the innocent until proven guilty approach.
409  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-E dot com - SCAM and UNPROFESSIONAL <<< BEWARE >>> on: May 30, 2013, 07:28:02 AM
I added this to bitcoinscammers.com sometimes the owners will seek out info and respond or at least try to correct the wrongs.  Please update us if anything changes.
WTF?

This is obvious, the transaction has not being confirmed by the FEATHERCOIN NETWORK. Not BTC-e's fault.

Bitcoin Scammer seems to operate without any thought or consideration - frankly its already showing to be a disservice to the community.
410  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Do not use BTCSportsBet.com on: May 30, 2013, 07:26:40 AM
72 hours... lol, it's already there Wink

http://bitcoinscammers.com/btcsportsbet-com/

k let me know and I will do it. Trying to clean up the community one POS at a time. Smiley

So what happened to that 72 hours? You should probably get more confirmations and do more investigating before you list companies as scamming.

My bet has been given back plus a extra half BTC! Yay! Great company!

This was a grading error - a push is certainly a refund. This has been corrected for impacted wagers.

Unfortunately the email was marked as spam and was not found right away.

Apologies for the delay.

Great.

Now to address bitcoinscammers.com (as I said in my last post)
WHAT THE FUCK ?

if you keep up with this "ooo a random claimed scam I'll post it without any evidence" your site will lose what little credibility it already has.
411  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCTC][[ASICMINER-PT]] - Public trading of ASICMINER shares on: May 30, 2013, 07:23:06 AM
It would appear the "glitch" in double dividends on TATs pass-throughs was he clicked "pay" twice. The website may have said CANCELLED and then paid it anyway, but he clicked twice.

In light of that, is there any reason to withhold dividends for the full pass-throughs?

Friedcat will sort it out soon im sure Smiley
412  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs.com RESPONDS TO SCAM @ bitcoinscammers.com on: May 30, 2013, 07:19:38 AM
Yea anyone "pre-ordering" these things are idiots at this point.

They were always idiots, its just that its finally dawned on them that they are.
413  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-E dot com - SCAM and UNPROFESSIONAL <<< BEWARE >>> on: May 30, 2013, 07:18:39 AM
Please check how many confirmations your transaction has. NOT on BTC-e, from your wallet. If it is unconfirmed, it is not BTC-e's fault.

^ this 1000 times, stop being a fucking idiot and give us some useful info.

I added this to bitcoinscammers.com sometimes the owners will seek out info and respond or at least try to correct the wrongs.  Please update us if anything changes.

Im not familiar with your site I admit, but WTF !!!!
This guy is a newbie that can't even post a TXID for us to look @ and you're already labeling a good business as a scammer ?
414  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [TO THEYMOS AND MODS] BFL scammer tag? on: May 30, 2013, 07:12:42 AM
They should at least label them as 'Untrustworthy'.

They should probably just label them as BFL.

You mean "Big Fucking Liars"?

I was trying to put together BFL to something like above that is in bold. Good job, that's what it means.

Big Fucking Liars is my phrase, I coined it first Tongue
415  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer: Inaba on: May 30, 2013, 07:03:18 AM
You know the drill. An "untrustworthy" tag à la Matthew N. Wright could also be considered.

After getting scammertagged and then the community cools down, upgrade to Untrustworthy should be a community decision.

416  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] TAT.ASICMINER New Micro-share Passthrough! on: May 30, 2013, 05:41:33 AM
Speaking for myself and the Girlfriend we will be happy to return the extra payouts.
417  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCTC][[ASICMINER-PT]] - Public trading of ASICMINER shares on: May 30, 2013, 01:33:29 AM
Wow, seems AM-PT dividends on BTCT are slow in coming. 00:40 UTC 5/30/13 and still nothing?

Due to burnsides double payout caused by a glitch I imagine they're waiting for the all clear before issuing the payout.
418  Economy / Gambling / Re: mem's BITCOIN GAMBLING LIST on: May 29, 2013, 04:10:45 PM
= offline ? Tongue

gifs can get pretty annoying quickly though.
419  Economy / Gambling / Re: mem's BITCOIN GAMBLING LIST on: May 29, 2013, 04:08:33 PM
I don't see all those characters. Here is what I see:

edit: I'll hack up this post with possible symbols, some are definitely worth considering.

Good Legend:

  • ☀ / ☯ / SQUARE BOX = considered mathematically honest, showing you the hash used to generate each game. Ive played them all enough to be a believer.
  • = PVP, Player v Player
  • ☏ / ♡ / NOTHING HERE = Responsive and or Helpful Admins (from my personal experience or several good referrals from forum members)

Bad Legend:

  • ☈ / SQUARE BOX = Questions raised regarding fairness/randomness thats waiting on admin response
  • ☠ / ☢ / SQUARE BOX = SCAM
  • = payout issue/s - removed if/when payout is resolved
  • = Non responsive admin

On one hand, I'd love to say "Don't worry, it's probably a problem on my side since my computer is Korean", but on the other hand, if it doesn't work for me, that means it won't work for everyone so maybe it shouldn't be considered defacto.  Undecided

This was my concern to.

Well it wont be changed quickly, I guess we shall keep brainstorming Smiley
