401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we would have been nothing without Bitcoin and Bitcoin forum on: April 25, 2020, 06:02:03 AM

* We would have been poor without Bitcoin and Bitcoin forum

This is not the purpose why bitcoin was created. It was created to stop poverty because you don't get bitcoin for free, you either work to earn it or trade with your funds to earn more or lose more.

Agreed that this forum the top knowledge source for cryptocurrency. The growth could have slowed down a bit if this forum wasn't created.
402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another crypto youtuber given a ban for breach of terms of service. on: April 24, 2020, 09:35:30 PM
YouTube is known for deleting/banning crypto videos and I think this happened based on reports and feedback from users that hates the channel.

The algorithm doesn't care about who you're, once you have a lot of negative feedbacks and reports. You get banned and appeal is very hard on YouTube, they don't respond except from the automated Q&A
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The growth of cryptocurrency on: April 24, 2020, 06:32:30 PM
1. Crypto has helped so much in my life with anonymity. I have bought items online without having to use my Credit card details or my personal info.
2. I've been in crypto for over 4 years now and I do not have regrets.
3. I got to know crypto through friends and internet.
404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Masterbating 2.0 Emails, don’t fall for the trap. on: April 23, 2020, 02:49:10 PM
Reason why it isn't good to use important email address for signing up for less important things like airdrops, bounties, newsletters and others. It's better to have a separate email for this.
I've never received such and would troll the scammer if I receive any from them

~~~
And he doesn't even know how to move topic to the right section. He should know basics like this.
i never write in wrong section... this is the reality
because i never spam since 2012
i talk with wayki chain direction and we decrease weekly posts to 20
because they not love spam and they are serius project
I was only pointing out your mistake for not knowing the right section to post on.
And good thing the project already agreed to decrease the post amounts.
406  Other / Meta / Re: Should this be allowed? on: April 21, 2020, 12:26:45 PM
As a legendary member which the campaign manager is, he is supposed to know that accepting a participant that is incapable of not spamming will lead to burst posting or spamming. If quality posters are accepted into the campaign, then there won't be problem.
yes, sorry.. i ask to moderator to move in right sections
And he doesn't even know how to move topic to the right section. He should know basics like this.
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Utility Token on: April 21, 2020, 08:50:29 AM
Little Mouse, I guess you're missing the aspect that crypto investment is risky (especially new project) and investors should only invest the amount they can afford to lose. Besides, i also believe you didn't notice that 96% of a new project that enters the crypto market/launch their ICO or IEO in the year 2018 used hype to get their investors, an example is karatcoin which the project team is nowhere to be found. But the MB8 case is somehow different because they are live now and if they are accepting half of MB8 to be use by people is because they want to make sure the price of MB8 is appreciating which is what all new genuine project are doing these days.
In this case, judging from Little Mouse's view, MB8 coin raised a lot of funds during months of their fundraising. They promised that they will accept their coin as mode of payment, which was a lie. Price of goods on their website was more expensive than other popular stores. And they accept on few MB8s (1-5%) of price
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is BCNEx is turning to a scam Exchange? on: April 21, 2020, 05:36:11 AM
I've always had a bad feeling about this exchange. And now this pandemic gave them the opportunity to finally exit scam. I never submitted my KYC during their airdrop, they have been very shady and now their social media is inactive
Take a look at this. Another Vietnamese exchange with an almost identical name. The interface is also strikingly similar. I do not claim that these two exchanges have the same roots, but this may well be the case.
There is a high chance that it's own by same person or one of the designer created this for another project.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It´s not about IF but WHEN - don't panic on: April 20, 2020, 02:23:49 PM
Purchasing and setting mind away from this question during the pandemic won't be easy. Most people people buying now aren't buying for long term hold. Most will only want to buy more for short term hold and won't hold.
Who knows what will happen tomorrow with all the theories flying around now.
410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just think privacy is more important with financials. on: April 20, 2020, 06:09:22 AM
Posting your wallet address publicly on social media without it being that you posted it for donation purpose or to receive payment is wrong, same as private key. No one posts their private keys publicly, you're giving the public access to your funds.
Only people that are whale or uses crypto for fraud purposes are the most ones always worried about their privacy. If you're worried, use coin mixing services.
411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to know is someone real and trusted for Bitcoin trading? on: April 19, 2020, 07:31:19 PM
There's no way to you can identify a scammer you met in a social media. But I'll make use of this forum as an example of how to identify trusted people, always cheat the trust feedback on whoever you're transacting with and also make use of escrow.
Head to this part of the forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 and you can create topics for any trades you want to make.
412  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep contact details private on: April 19, 2020, 05:16:14 PM
Great suggestion, I'm going to delete my telegram contact from my forum details incase of future even if I don't have service thread yet. I don't know who is stalking on my profile right now.
And I also want to suggest that whoever is messaging the thread owner should verify by messaging back on the forum to verify well.
413  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies attention. Don't get trap yourself with greed. on: April 18, 2020, 08:55:20 PM
There's also this scam though it's outdated but it's about being PMed by someone and they tell you they are an admin on a roulette website and they can make you win by showing you proof. They make any player win(though they are bots). Just ignore because they could have made their family wealthy by sharing with them.
i fell for this scam when i joined the crypto campaign newly. i participated in lots of scam programs on telegram where we send bitcoins and received 70% of our rewards with the idea that when we introduces new members, our payment will be completed.  i think i have lost close to 1 btc to these kind of scams and it is good to remind newbies of the dangers involved in this.
Good thing you've learned your lesson. You've put life of many innocent people's funds at lose because of greed.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty group is dead on: April 17, 2020, 08:45:31 PM
@KrypitalBounty
@bountiesbybernard
@bountyhive
I remember seeing these three group to be active months ago. Krypital bounty group started to become less active after the end of bounty. The purpose of the group died since then.
Bounties by bernard group has been less active since 2018. BM has very low participants support because of the way he manages.
Bountyhive fits well into this topic. They came to us as an automated bounty service, their purpose started to fade away after few months. They managed fake projects and are known for muting and banning.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? on: April 17, 2020, 07:06:15 PM
I prefer using Coingecko, coinmarketcap on the other hand is known for not giving accurate data and are known for being in support with exchange with fake volumes. They are only good at the UI.
Coingecko has a price calculator than could be used to calculate USD versus the coin amount. Coinmarketcap never reasoned to add this feature as little as it is and that's one of the most reason I stick with Coingecko most times.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100 ETH Puzzle! on: April 17, 2020, 03:49:19 PM
This is really a though puzzle to be honest. No clues in the picture and I don't think it's possible to guess private keys from looking at a picture. Private key contains alphanumeric characters and can't be easily guess, not even the first three characters. It could have been easier if it a pass phrase.
On the other hand, I don't think think the organisers are honest and they know what they are doing. Someone here could have cracked it if this has been done before.
I will follow up to see how it ends.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CNV : corona virus token Project on: April 17, 2020, 02:05:57 PM
Even the authentic one like you said, I will advice people to stay away from it. This project is a big joke and has no basis. The project is all about update on the corona Virus outbreak right? Good
Then, what happens when the Corona Virus crisis comes to an end? What will happen to the project and funds people invested in it? I just hope no one is gullible enough to look the way of this project.
100% sure they can't last long because the trend is the reason they existed and it's also going to be the reason they are going to fall once the trend comes to an end
They don't have an ANN, no professionalism or whatever. Just stay away to avoid losing
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Boogle Coin, Are they Google? Lets Discuss. on: April 16, 2020, 09:02:50 PM
I am not sure what the intention of OP is but this seem like an indirect advert to me. Google would have made an announcement about this and this would have been trending on internet. And why would Google even choose such a dry name.
419  Other / Off-topic / [Information] Privacy and Data Broker on: April 15, 2020, 05:40:15 PM
    In this modern world, it is very easy to gather and have information about someone and something just by looking at the internet and different social media site and search engines, although not anyone doesn't want to disclose their information and remain private and anonymous.
    Nowadays data is often compared to oil because of it's value and importance to the companies. There are some companies that need and requires your data information like social media sites and even exchanges that requires KYC gathers your information they commonly requires:
  • Full Name
  • Address
  • Mobile or Telephone Number
  • Email Address
  • Age and Gender
  • Occupation
  • Citizenship
Data Broker
- According to different definitions, a Data Broker can be a person or a  business that accumulates and gathers pieces of information of the consumers from different sources on the internet, after that, they process the data and sells it to other data brokers and companies or they buy it themselves. [they commonly gather through different Internet service providers, credit card issuers, mobile phone companies, banks, pharmacies, grocery stores and Social Media Sites like Facebook.]
-They commonly gather the data anonymously and the consumer might not know it unknowingly that their data is being collected and used by someone.
-To others, the data are nonsense and doesn't worth a glance and interest but to the data brokers they are worth something and a source of income. and you might not know that they are collecting data from you, although it seems like it's not that dangerous but it collects your personal data and who knows
Data Breach
-According to Wikipedia, A data breach is the intentional or unintentional release of secure or private/confidential information to an untrusted environment. Other terms for this phenomenon include unintentional information disclosure, data leak, information leakage and also data spill. Even the information that you input in different companies is not safe with them if their site has been hacked.
How to protect yourself from data brokers
1. Delete Cookies and Browsing History
-Maybe the simplest thing to do is to delete your cookies and your browsing history in your browser you can also delete the trackers in your website or maybe you can use a different type of browser that is secured but safe and trusted. There is also an option in the settings that lets you block third-party cookies. but this will not 100% protect you from them.
2. Log Out of Social Media Sites While You Browse the Web
-Always log-out your social media sites and don't save your passwords in your browser.
3. Skip Store Loyalty Cards
Data brokers collect information from the real world too, Hans says. It’s impossible to limit brokers’ access to some kinds of personal information, like public records. But if privacy is really important to you, decline offers for store loyalty cards–a major way retailers gather information about your buying habits. The downside? You may miss out on discounts.
4. Employ Advanced Online Tools
-You can use different privacy apps like Vpn and different search engines that do not collect your date searches like duck duck go and Hide and search.
5. Be selective with your data
-Don't use your emails in the sites you don't commonly know and sometimes don't subscribe to newsletter because they might know what your interest is about.
6. Don’t share everything
-Don't share everything in your social media on where are you located, the disease you have, what your interest is about and other things that are unnecessary that the website doesn't need
Firstly, you should create an announcement thread and for you to be able to add pictures to your thread without being a Jnr Member rank, you will need to purchase Copper Membership.
You should also not ask for donations as this is against the forum rules.
