Does anyone know - is it possible to recover wallet info if I lost my wallet password? wallet.[bin+keys+txt] files is present.
sure just use that mnemonic passphrase that you wrote down when you first created your wallet. I dunno about that, I think you'd still need to know your wallet pw after you recreate it to unlock it, not 100% sure tho...

Few ways to combat inflation and increase demand for coins:
1. General costs 10 HUC and drops 0 coins upon death excluding coins he carried. 10 HUC vanish from game economy per general death. 2. Once some general becomes poisoned, player can use serum costing 100 HUC to heal general. 100 HUC vanish from game economy per serum consumed. 3. Entrance to friendly base costs 1 HUC, enemy bases 5 HUC. Those coins vanish from game afterwards. 4. Player can use speedup potion to temporaly double movement speed once and only once (no stacking). Potion costs and afterwards removes 50 HUC from game economy. 5. Protection potion adds 50% chance player character will not be killed if static (sitting on spawn) for up to 8 hours. It costs 10 HUC etc, etc.
Having never played the game or even downloaded the wallet, and also being a person that generally disfavors any changes to any coin's block reward, I'd like to go on record as being in favor of this change I don't think it really "changes" the block reward, it's almost a completely different concept. Full disclosure, I do own some few hundred HUC (not even sure how much, tbh, 500-1000), it would be nice to see the price go up, but it's not really factor in my thinking here - it wouldn't be a big deal to me if HUC went to the ltc market. I just think it makes sense that it really "costs" something to play the game, and I like the idea of bonuses/powerups being available for some "cost" as well. Maybe these don't need to be hard-coded numbers, as snailbrain said. I think it would be neat to offer the powerups for some initial price, then if lots of people are using the powerups the price will start to rise; higher rate of use by players would lead to continual increases in the price of the powerup, and then eventually it would cost so much the player rate of use would have to decrease, and so would the price... I really keep on meaning to download the wallet and try out the game...guess I'll get on that now

Our plans and timeline
Coming days - release of Electrum with Stealth July 15 - hardfork announcement End of July - hardfork (to mitigate overinflation, replace KGW by DGW in order to fix vulnerability in KGW, reduce proccessor resources required by KGW and make execoin even more resistant to multipols) End of July - release of Electrum with Stealth for Android Beginning of August - release of all new paper wallet End of August - release of all new js wallet for mobile devices (iOS, Android) with stealth transactions support
well, execoin is about to fudge with their block reward, so now we can see if it just tanks below 1000 satoshi and never recovers or surpasses vtc on its way to moon...

Oh, perhaps you missed the Monero pizza auction? I have a score to settle with fluffy since then I do remember...guess I didn't read that carefully tho
|
|
|
Apologies for the slight off-topic: If anyone has plans to develop an online wallet for Monero sometime in the future, please PM me if you'd like to have the very meaningful 'monujo.com' domain. I will carry on with plans of my own if there are no takers, but knowing what little time I have available, I'd be happy to let it go towards deserving hands. This is not a straight up market offer - if the Monero team expresses that they want the domain for an 'official' platform, it's theirs for the prize of a pizza.
(Pizza is currently valued at exactly 250 XMR. Oh yeah fluffy, the pizza man is back to haunt you!) Cheers, ~ Myagui
lololol that is one cheesy motherfucking pizza

In other hand block reward should not be changed lightly, especially if longer term view is considered. Also as total amount of coins increases the daily inflation also decreases.
Time / total amount coins / daily coins mined / %of daily coin supply increase
Now 5903950 28000 0.474258759 % +1month 6767950 28800 0.4255350586 % +2months 7631950 28800 0.3773609628 % +3months 8495950 28800 0.3389850458 % +4months 9359950 28800 0.3076939514 % +5months 10223950 28800 0.2816915184 % +6months 11087950 28800 0.259741431 %
agree totally with rontz and Crypto_EX, only thing changing reward will do is undermine confidence...algos I don't mind too much either way, but please don't destroy our credibility by messing with reward structure.

can you guys take over parallax coin? or maybe we can get the simplevert guys to take it over and provide some updates/wallet hosting? seems like somebody needs to do something or triple merged mining will soon be only double merged mining...

just upgraded to the 1.3.1 wallet, looking good
nairotearP (7/7/2014 09:40)
shouldn't the cost for chatting be 0.1 TAC? my last message yesterday charged me that, but now I paid 1 TAC again
 2 (7/7/2014 10:32)
 test
2 (7/7/2014 10:32)
 it costs 1 tac... wtf!!!
 miner (7/7/2014 11:25)
 what the fuck? 聊天又要1个TAC了?更你尼玛的小鸡鸡啊?艹,不会弄不要弄了!
quotes from wallet chat. Is it 1 TAC or 0.1 TAC? 1 TAC seems really expensive...

Hi,
I've been unable to sync bitmonerod on my 32 bit machines this past week, previously they were working fine.
Now their stuck on block 107407 I've tried restoring, deleting and re downloading the blockchain but they still get stuck.
Any ideas?
Can I transfer my 32bit wallet files to a 64bit setup?
Thank you
I think 32 bit doesn't work anymore because of the memory usage of the blockchain. The whole thing get's loaded into memory, so you need several gigabytes, which is too much for 32 bit. You can transfer your wallet to 64 bit setup. I think you may need to just copy only your 'keys' file into new directory with 64bit simplewallet, then run simplewallet and type in wallet name (without the .keys part), and it should rebuild the binary part of your wallet (default name wallet.bin).

NEW VERSION 1.3.1 MANDATORY UPDATE BEDORE BLOCK #241920Why #241920? Due to voting system constraints, the hard fork can only work on special blocks, that's why some had problems after block 230,000. Reminder that TAC are also being constantly destroyed through communication and voting fees, so the actual number of TAC in circulation is less than the total TAC supplied.
Is there some debug command in the wallet to check this -- what the actual number of TAC in circulation is? In the new version 1.3.1, there are 2 new RPC commands: - getreward - getmoneysupply http://talkcoin.org/talkcoin-qt.zip
https://github.com/talkcoin/talkcoin-wallet Thanks for response

Can we support merge mining with bitcoin? Litecoin seems to have little use for this - and I see it massively driving up the price of whatever coin does it (as it's essentially adding massive security to bitcoin) It is much more along the lines of silver to gold in crypto terms. And ONE GPU coin to back up the primary ASIC coin (BTC) .. I don't see how we could lose. http://Https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=176556.0I brought the same thing up in reddit & decided to copy why I think this would be an awesome move for Vertcoin. I made the assumption others would instantly jump to my conclusions about how this will help out. Or as far as I'm concerned cement into the future whatever coin does this (and one will eventually). 1 - Bitcoin market cap is roughly 8 billion dollars. This is over 4,000 times Vertcoins market cap. I pay approximately 10% per year to insure my car in money I never get back. Vertcoin providing "insurance" for bitcoin accomplishes two things for Vertcoin. A - It uses GPU's to insure against ASICs. Something I believe will become an increasing problem that another coin will wind up solving for bitcoin. B - It taps into the inherent value of hundreds of millions of dollars that have been spent on bitcoin ASICs. Plus the value of the much larger time period of bitcoin / blockchain size of bitcoin. Plus the value of the larger adoption of bitcoin. Pretty much all alts = x% of whatever money is in bitcoin at a given moment. This will increase the confidence in at least bitcoin/vertcoin viability. C - It puts Vertcoin in a position to shine next time there is a 51% attack on bitcoin. What's going to happen next time a pool grabs 51% - but someone explains that the primary GPU coin is making the 51% attack impossible? In summary it adds insurance capability to vertcoin for an existing store of value. It puts Vertcoin in a position to shine next time the masses are made aware of bitcoin centralization. It adds functionality that litecoin can't/won't add. Vert is slipping - price is not my primary concern but it is some type of reflection of the confidence people have in it. The more I think about the idea - the more sense it makes to me. Vertcoin is essentially sharing it's decentralization with the biggest coin on the market to PROVE that true decentralization is ASIC free.
