4121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins are dying on: November 07, 2017, 01:40:27 AM
Altcoins are dying and some will be dead. Bitcoin murdered them and now I want to murder my self.

Well, if you murder yourself, you will die and won't be able to see altcoins recovered from price dumping. There is no death except to altcoins that are shitcoins from the start and to those very emotional investors that would like to kill themselves at the first sight of very temporary dumping.  Wink
4122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] EventChain -ICO LIVE- Stopping excessive ticketing fees on: November 05, 2017, 08:17:14 AM
Hello there dev.

Can anyone please publish some updates here? We are already entering November 1. How shall the plan go from here?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

It seems like the ICO got extended, right? Does anyone know when it will finish now?

Truth be told, I don't exactly know the latest situation and plan of this project. No more updates here for a while from any of the project team. I just hope they are still sincerely determined to pursue this. For now, we will just wait for the updates. I hope they will release an official one soon so that we will be guided accordingly.
4123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So many new ICO, how to check if it's scam? on: November 02, 2017, 11:49:03 PM
So many new ICO, and they all have new idea and tech listed on their webpages,

and even the websites use the same template...

but so many new ICO, how to check if it's scam, or worth to invest...

Try to dig deeper to know the real score of the ICO you wish to participate in. Websites and whitepaper appearances are mostly misleading because of how they present themselves very well and smoothly. But if you try to go into the details you will find out that there are some questionable steps along the way. Raise all of these vague and questionable concepts and details to the devs themselves.

4125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with alt coins that dont have a wallet. on: October 31, 2017, 12:35:12 AM
What coins do you mean? Can you name some?

Every real coin has a wallet, tokens have mother chains like ethereum or waves.

You can manage the tokens with the wallets from the mother chains.

This is correct. There is no coin that has no wallet. Even shitcoins have wallets. For the major ones that we have right now, these are mostly ERC20 tokens or coins which means they are using the Ethereum blockchain. Myetherwallet.com is the mother wallet for all of them. You can save them here because they are safe. You will have your private keys with you. There are also Waves-based tokens whose mother chain is using waveswallet.io. There is also a NXT wallet, Latium wallet, deeponion wallet, gravio wallet, etc.
4126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is DogeCoin even worth buying? on: October 30, 2017, 11:22:29 PM
I see a large amount of sell orders for DogeCoin, and from the looks of the Bear charts, DogeCoin looks like a dying currency. If I was looking for a "long-term" currency, DogeCoin is the one I would avoid...?   Huh

Interested to hear the community's thoughts on this?

It is not so good for investment. But you can still actually make some profit from Dogecoin. You just need to enter with the right timing and leave at the perfect time as well. There is not much sense holding Dogecoin with a medium or long term target. However, it is widely used until now. If you think this coin is going to die soon, you are probably wrong about it because Doge is still backed by a big body of followers who like the way it has maintained its small value, which is good for tips and other similar transactions.
4127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 30, 2017, 12:01:30 AM
This is one of the busiest threads here in the Alternate Cryptocurrencies. The community of followers of Monero (XMR) is very huge. I guess the feature that makes Monero the topmost coin when it comes to anonymity has bear fruits. It has effectively pulled crypto fanatics together close to this project. Bitcoin, although proclaiming to be anonymous, has been proven to be less. Monero is now the leading figure of anonymity.
4128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we Seeing a pullback in ICO investments on: October 29, 2017, 10:54:54 PM
Are we seeing a pullback in ICO investing During the Oct period?

Due to recent ICO's not gaining once they hit market or also the fact we have had alot of new money come into ICO's over the recent months.

Why do you think there is less investment into ICO's if you think there is less

The ICOs are still there. But I have observed that many projects now are raising their soft and hard caps. They are becoming more and more ambitious. Aside from that, the number of ICOs in the market are becoming so big that investors are now having a hard time choosing which one is the one that will give them the most return later. Because of the great number of ICOs, it is logical that the amount of investment, even if it also increases, will be divided, unlike when there are only a few of them.
4129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Gold on: October 29, 2017, 01:06:38 AM
I am watching now Litecoin Gold which is only on EtherDelta exchanger but already grew with over 300%. I am wondering what will happen when it will reach other exchangers. Write your opinion.

How did this Litecoin Gold started? Did this coin started just like the way Bitcoin Gold started? I don't know why coins are now offering different versions. What are we up to right now? Are we racing and competing with each other to create another version of existing coins? There is seem to have a penchant to just add another fork to a coin. Ethereum is also forking several times. Bitcoin has also gone through the same process. Is this also the fork of Litecoin? This is actually not healthy.
4130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum a bubble? on: October 28, 2017, 11:28:22 PM
See a vote on this one  Grin

I voted no but when I saw the poll result, the majority voted yes. I have already encountered several others posts before accusing Ethereum of being another bubble whose price is built on hype. I think they have some points. However, we all know as well that Vitalik Buterin is a real genius that has developed further the invention started by Satoshi Nakamoto. He is not a man that is simply after the money. We all know him to even eschew some ostentatious looks that others want very much.
4131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How much do you get from airdrops - a review on: October 28, 2017, 02:09:06 PM
I just wanted to share my “airdrop journey” with you. I got my first airdrop 41 days ago and as you see i kind of became addicted. i try to participate in as many airdrops as possible and i got one or two nice tokens out of it. Not all of them will get “the new bitcoin” but i hope to get one or two good returns. Do you participate in any airdrops?

https://imgur.com/a/8Mto6

I would be a hypocrite if I would say that I have not tried joining an airdrop. Like you and the rest of us, I also want free coins. I have also gone through the stage when I am very excited when an airdrop is introduced. But after some time of observation, I can conclude that investing much time and effort to catch an airdrop is a futile one. That is probably good some time before but right now it is not a sound decision any more because almost all airdropped tokens are without much worth anymore.
4132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All coins are now dying, what do you think? on: October 28, 2017, 12:41:49 PM
The entire market is in the red. Everyone has lost money. What do you think?

A red sign does not automatically mean that they are dying. Neither is it a sign that everyone is losing money. The last time altcoins turn red was when bitcoin rose high in the charts with very huge strides. That just happened very recently. Many people shifted to bitcoin at that time. They instead gain much as a result. Red marks also appear attractive to buyers. Perfect timing is always the key.
4133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: wallet for Ethereum on: October 27, 2017, 12:12:09 AM
Hello

anyone know good wallet to store Ethereum ?

Thank you!

I am sticking it out with myetherwallet.com for my Ethereum. If you are planning to trade them then you do not have much of a choice but store them in trading platforms. That will save you transaction or transfer fees from constantly transferring ETH from one wallet to another. But if you are saving ETH for ICO purposes then saving them in MEW is good enough already. You are holding your private keys with your MEW so it is safe.
4134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best crypto to buy now? on: October 26, 2017, 11:19:31 PM
XEM and WAVES

Waves and XEM are two of the good coins that you can buy now and earn profit later. But there are no quick pumps for these two coins. However, you are assured of a good profit after some months of holding. Unlike some ERC20 based tokens that have some pumps made every once in a while, the growth of these two coins are very natural and without much unnecessary hype.
4135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any Price predictions for Bitcoin Gold? on: October 26, 2017, 03:46:35 AM
As expected, it will only be below $500. There is less anticipation and support for Bitcoin Gold as compared to the previous Bitcoin Cash. For Bitcoin Cash, there was even a pump right after distribution, but it was not a real pump. It was probably brought by the whales supporting Bitcoin Cash. It was not sustained eventually. Bitcoin Gold is said to be valued $100. We do not know where this value will go. It might go down early.
4136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Utrust is a scam? on: October 26, 2017, 02:58:13 AM
They wrote that it is a scam?Huh??
This not be true!

Look!

https://coinanalysis.io/utrust/

Sorry for my english Sad

I seriously doubt this. UTRUST is even a ranked top 3 project and ICO in some reliable sources as well. The problem with these publications and online magazines is that they can easily be paid to publish certain articles regardless of whether the content is true or not. But UTRUST seems to be consistent in its rating and rank. I cannot be sure of this but this might be brought by several projects that are a bit threatened by UTRUST.
4137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What upcoming ICO's are you most interested in? on: October 25, 2017, 01:15:38 AM
What ICO's are you most interested in that are upcoming?

I have had a strong eye on Enjin and Paypie.

What have you guys been looking at?

If you are unsure of a coin, you should evaluate it yourself, I created a video explain the different steps and questions to ask yourself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLwHkIKhddw

Trying to gain some youtube viewers, bro?  Wink Enjin is a big project. I don't know about Paypie though. I will suggest some ICOs that are going to be credible projects ones launched. EventChain is almost over with almost sold out EVT tokens. VALUS is also ongoing and trying to sell out their tokens. ARToken is another great project with enough background in the industry. You try to also check out these ICOs.
4138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Coins are a great LONG-TERM investment ???? on: October 24, 2017, 11:37:26 PM
Hey folks,

what do you think, which tokens are a great investment for 5-10 years?

All people tend to speculate on short-term moves but I am more interested in tokens that will go up x times over the next couple of years...

so to say, the Amazons and Googles of the crypto world.

Which coins are REALLY GROUNDBREAKING in your eyes and why?

I mean Bitcoin started the whole thing but technically there are so much better, safer, faster, more anonymous coins that should take over in the long run.

Please share your opinions

I would of course pick those that are very aggressive in their project development. That would definitely include ethereum because it is still growing considering the number of ICOs that are yet to be conceived. That would also include waves. Waves is a very solid project and team but kind of undervalued in terms of their token. Even those that are waves-based, even if they are very good projects, are not pumping. Time will come they will all gain growth in value.
4139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy again? on: October 24, 2017, 12:14:45 AM
Time to buy when the red tide is over and recovery is already showing some signs. This is a perfect strategy to create a maximized profit to your portfolio. However, you need to be accurate in your predictions because the altcoin world is not something that has a very easy to understand pattern and movements. Everything is possible here.
4140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Give me a coin that will easily go 3x on: October 23, 2017, 11:17:24 PM
to find out a coin that is going 10x is really hard, lets be realist.
But 2x - 3x is far more easy, any thoughts?  Roll Eyes

I do not deny that when it comes to altcoins, it is relatively easy to achieve that 10x goal. For bitcoin, it will probably reach more or less a year. But of course it is better to start with the 2x or 3x before looking at the bigger figure. I think I can recommend you DENT, AVT, SDRN, and OPT. These are very fresh coins that will probably climb several steps up the ladder by the time they realize some of their objectives.
