Awesome Miner 2.2.2 is a minor release with the following updates

- Monero mining profit displayed correctly
- Claymore's Zcash Miner 9.3
- Minor corrections

I'm trying to get a Sapphire NITRO+ RX 480 OC 8GB GDDR5 Video Graphics Card 11260-01-20G HDMI DP DVI to work with Awesome Miner on windows 10
I'm new to Awesome Miner, so I'm guessing its an easy fix

Imported Awesome profit miner
when trying to start Awesome profit miner it says interface off line

anyone have any idea?
FYI: nicehash standalone miner worked fine

Here is Diagnostics

Unexpected exit of mining software. Possible cause: Incorrect configuration

The last line of output from sgminer indicates "All devices disabled, cannot mine!". Is it possible to compare this with a configuration where sgminer is working?

A suggestion..   Cheesy

When the dead/sick GPU alert fires with the built-in rule, it does not tell me which GPU died.  I setup my rigs to be rebooted when a GPU gets sick, but I have no way of knowing after the fact which GPU it was :-(

Also, I don't know if it works for anybody else or I hosed up my config somehow, but I am mining Monero and the coin is configured per default, but it doesn't show any value for my rigs which are currently mining it.  Any suggestions?
Hi,
It's a good suggestion that it should be possible to see more details why a rule was triggered. I will try to find a good solution for this in future releases.

I've just fixed the Monero revenue/profit display, and a new version of Awesome Miner with this correction will be released soon.
4164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: December 26, 2016, 05:02:49 PM
I have antminer S9 , the BMminer version 1.0.0 ..

I want do this rule : when Temperature greater than or equal 67 C stop miner . I try do it in rules tab and I edit (Device temperature ) , in actions tab I add Miner command (stop miner ) . but nothing happened when Temp exceed 67 C and greater ,the antminer still work .How can do this action ?
Can you try to add another action to the same rule? For example to show a Notification as well. By doing that we can figure out if the rule is triggered or not.
Is the Antminer running in Privileged API mode?

I do another action (notification) it work good but stop miner not work .. see the picture : http://imgur.com/aMX5ddf
I don't know what (Privileged API mode) mean and how can I do that  ?

If you select an Antminer in the main window of Awesome Miner, and look at the tab Summary at the bottom part of the screen, you should be able to see "API Access", indicating either Privileged or Restricted.

hey man i got a question how do i make clay more miner show more then basic  API access, it is very limited still  in what it shows which is a lot kind of but not enough it doesn't have to let me use everything but show the fan speed in RPM etc and give some better access like it does for https://github.com/genesismining/sgminer-gm/blob/master/doc/configuration.md sgminer-gm or is that the limits of Claymore miner.
The Claymore API only provides basic statistics via its API. Sgminer can display and do much more.
Please provide this as feedback to Claymore - that you want more API features. Once it's available, I can add support for it in Awesome Miner.

Your help is awful for this application.. How the heck do I use the commands and add Sia to make this work?  I need this commands in a managed miner.

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool coinotron.com:3344 -ewal molitar.miner2 -esm 2 -epsw pass2 -dpool "http://sia-eu1.nanopool.org:9980/miner/header?address=<address>&worker=miner2&email=email@gmail.com" -dcoin sia -allpools 1 -ethi 16 -r 0 -gser 1 -mclock 2200

But when I try to use your managed miner I could not figure out how to setup Sia at all.  Secondly what about the -gser 1 -mclock 2200?

You really need a better tutorial with examples on how to use switches with this managed miner?  This app is useless as an external monitor as it will not restart miner if it hangs.
Hi,

For a Managed Miner with Ethereum, there is a guide on the web site: http://www.awesomeminer.com/guide/ethereum.aspx. The guide is about Dual mining with Ethereum and Decred, but it's the same concept for Ethereum and Sia.

The basic concept is:
1) Create two pools, one for Ethereum and one for Sia
2) Create a group pool, where you include these two
3) Create a Managed Miner, set to Claymore's Dual Ethereum Miner and Dual Mode to Ethereum + Sia. Set the group pool you defined.
4) Finally you go to the "Command Line" section (in the menu on the left side of the Managed Miner properties dialog), where you enter all your custom parameters, like -gser and so on.

Awesome Miner can of course restart a miner that is failing. Awesome Miner uses the concept of Rules (Options dialog, Rules section) where you have a few build in rules that can be enabled, or you can define your own. An introduction to the Rules can be found on the web site: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/rules.aspx.

With Rules you have trigger, for example that the hashrate is too low, that Accepted isn't increasing or similar. Then you define the action or actions you want for this trigger, for example to restart the miner.

It'll install but won't run.  Do I'm sure I have the latest .Net files; are there any other files I need to install?
Any error message? Could you send me the Awesome Miner log file by e-mail? The log file AwesomeMiner.log is located in the folder:
%localappdata%\AwesomeMiner

Microsoft .NET 4.5 is the only prerequisite. Which version of .NET do you have and which version of Windows are you running?

The remote control feature is what intrigues me. I want to setup a home pc I can remote into for making changes and use this software, as I assume I install the base software on the home pc and can sign into it from another pc anywhere? But I'm still a big confused on that part of it.
I will support the software, and the features are fine, the number of miners is a bit low though. For what people may use.
In a basic setup, it looks like this:
[Awesome Miner]
Where you only have Awesome Miner main software that can do both mining and monitoring. It can connect to remote ASIC's as well.

If you want to control a remote control another PC for mining purposes, it looks like this:
[Awesome Miner] <--> [Awesome Miner Remote Agent]
Awesome Miner can connect to many Remote Agents and control the mining on all of them

If you want to access Awesome Miner from a smart phone or another PC, you can use the web interface. This is optional:
[Awesome Miner Web] <--> [Awesome Miner] <--> [Awesome Miner Remote Agent]

In the future there will also be a cloud option...

Hi,

I got profit switching working for different coins by first setting a new pool group. In this group I have excluded the pools defined in default A4 dominator pools setup (otherwise switching doesnt work). When I manualy add this new list of pools to a miner, then switching works ok.

First problem is that when the miner restarts itself, the pool group is not automatically assigned to a miner and switching is limited to 3 pools/coins only.

I have tryed setting a rule:
Trigger: every 10 min (for testing)
Action: Change group pool, but it doesnt work. It only works if I want to change the pool. Is this normal or am I missing something?

My other question is which statistics provider would you recommend and how often in minutes the switching should be checked?

My third question is where can we find block explorer API url list for different wallets info?

What does the failover only mean when in pools setting?

Regards,
I'm not familiar with the pool setup on the A4 miner. Is the pool defined in the miner to always possible to override from Awesome Miner? Is there a limitation on the miner itself to not have more than 3 pools defined?

In addition to Nicehash, Awesome Miner can also get coin statistics for WhatToMine and Coinwarz, where the WhatToMine API is available for free. Anything between 10-30 minutes should be fine for profit switching.

I would recommend looking at the official coin thread here on the forum for available Block Explorers. Awesome Miner supports a few explorer API's, and I can add support for more if needed.

Failover-only is a cgminer/sgminer pool setting that is used to indicate that the primary pool should be used all the time, unless it's unavailable.

HI,

A4 default settings only have 3 pools option to setup. When using Awesome miner more pools can be added and manual adding/changing of pools works ok.

The problem is when miner restarts itself, all but default 3 pools are active (other pools are gone and profit switching is limited).

Maybe you can help me setup a rule (after miner restarts itself) to add a group of new pools to a miner? Currently only "change pool" rule works automatically and not "add new group of pools".

Regads,
It sound like we can't do much about that the miner revert back to the preconfigured pool, but you are correct that the rules should work.

If you have a rule with a Miner Command action using "Change pool group", what happens? If you enable "Support manual activation" for the rule, you have an Actions button in the toolbar where you can try to trigger the rule manually. Once you know that is working, we can try to come up with a Trigger to do it automatically

Cool software, te tiered pricing scheme is pretty frigin aggressive, Really no way to get all the features without dropping $200?

This is pretty much the reason photoshop and other software is pirated so damn heavily.
All for supporting, but even buying the cheaper version to handle a small number of miners, the software is gutted.

Very sad to see Sad

Edit: and you don't accept crypto payments??? Sad
The feature levels are structured in a way that aligns well with what most users require, but it may not be a perfect fit for everyone. The Enterprise Edition (up to 40 miners, $200) that you bring up is actually only adding the Security and Multi-user access control features. That feature is almost never used if you have only a few miners, but instead if you have a larger number of miners where more people are involved.

So if you don't need that feature, but want everything else, you can aim for the Premium Edition (up to 20 miners, $100). Then it's of course possible to discuss what a good price level is. I typically bring up how much people are spending on hardware, like $1500 for a single Antminer S9, where 20 of those will be $30000. If you can afford $30000 for the hardware, paying $100 for the software to monitor them isn't a big deal. If you run 20 computers for GPU mining the hardware cost is of course much lower, but $100 should still be affordable in that scenario.

There are many happy users of Awesome Miner that think it's worth every penny, because the software helps them to save more money than what they payed for the license. Also keep in mind that Awesome Miner is a quite specialized software, it doesn't have a market of millions of people like other software do.

Bitcoin payments were supported earlier this year, but I had to discontinue that support. The payment processor I use right now have plans to support Bitcoin payments, but it has been delayed. I do constantly remind them because it was promised to happen during 2016. I do want to support Bitcoin payments on the web site again. If you are interested in paying the software with Bitcoin, please contact me by e-mail instead and we can sort it out. Thanks for your comments.

It's any way to switch the miner from one pool to another in a group of pools at fixed times??? I have been playing with the rules tab but i don't find the way...
That should be possible with the Rules. If you create a Trigger of the type Time, you can select a specific time of the day. Then you add an Action of type Miner Command, and select Change Group Pool.

Awesome Miner 2.2.1 has been released

- Performance history improved for low hashrate statistics
- Diagnostics feature for Managed Miners. Can be used if a miner isn't starting properly.
- Improved logging for fault isolation
- Claymore's Zcash Miner 9.1

I've been getting several request for adding support for Optiminer Zcash in Awesome Miner. However, I couldn't find any documentation for the HTTP API other than it's enabled with the parameter '-m'. Any suggestions where I can find it? Thanks!
4176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Awesome Miner - New Windows application to manage and monitor mining on: December 12, 2016, 05:45:24 PM
in new version antminer s7 is stop if i open awsome miner software
and if awsomeminer software is open and i restart miner manually due then miner can't startup its hash rate showing zero.
and one more things want to told you awsome miner didn't automatically restart miner if some error came like internet connectivity lost awsomeminer never restart the miner.
another problem is if i click on restart a specific miner then miner cant restart i need to shutdown power switch and again on it by manually  and one more thing awsomeminer not support new antiminer s9 batch
In a default configuration, there are nothing in Awesome Miner that stops an Antminer. Have you defined any Rules with an action to restart? Have you enabled the feature to automatically configure Antminer API Access? Both these settings are available in the Options dialog. Could you please provide me with more details of what your configuration looks like?

If you want to configure Awesome Miner to restart on lost Internet connection, you need to define a rule that would cover that case. For example if the 'Accepted' hasn't increased for 5 or 10 minutes?

Which Antminer S9 batch are you used? I do know that the frequency change feature is not longer supported by the later batches of Antminer. But is it something else that isn't working? If that's the case, could you please provide me with an API report (Toolbar: Tools -> API Report) for that Antminer.

I need some help figuring out what is going on.  I have a Premium edition license.

Awesome Miner is controlling a remote machine with Calymore Zcash miner on it.
Everything was working fine.

I stopped the miner with awesome miner and now I cannot restart it.
It says "starting" and just sits there.

I rebooted both computers and the same thing - awesome miner cannot start remote miner.. it just says "starting"
I can log into the remote miner and start the miner just fine with the batch file using the same .exe that awesome miner is pointed to.

In Awesome Miner I open options / managed hosts and select the machine the remote miner is on and it says:
"Successfully connected to Awesome Miner Remote Service 2.2"
so I know it sees it ok (and all network connections/shares to it work perfectly including drive shares and remote desktop).

How do I go about determining why Awesome miner won't re-start a miner that it started just fine only hours before when nothing has changed?

same problem im facing i have premium version but many function not work properly i put all the problem im facing
The issue reported by topgeek was related to Claymore's ZCash miner. Are you running this ZCash miner in addition to the Antminers?

In general, please provide me log files and the requested details for the problems being reported. By doing that, it makes it easier/possible to provide solutions. Thanks!
4177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: December 11, 2016, 08:09:03 AM
Suggestion:

When you right click a miner - please add a "CANCEL" option.

If one clicks START and it fails to start and sits there stuck at "starting" there is no way to reset it.
You end up having to kill the application and then restart it - messing up all of the other miners as a result.

A Cancel option (or a timeout that detects a failed start) would be extremely useful.

thanks.
I can investigate that for sure. However, I still would like to look at the log files for the problem you had. Could you mail me both the log for Awesome Miner and the Remote Agent, and let me know what time you experience the problem?
4178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: December 09, 2016, 08:40:57 PM
Stupid question maybe:
I have no problems mining Zcash with Awesome Miner using Claymore Miner. It is working fine, no problems.
What do I have to do in order to use sgminer? When I use sgminer instead of claymore the mining software directly stops after starting.
The window opens and closes before I can see an error or the reason for it. I also get the Awesome Miner error Message "Failed to start miner process".
Unfortunately this does not seem to be logged, at least I can not find entries according to the timestamp.
Hi,
I assume it's Sgminer-gm. The question is actually good, and points out the fact that configuration of miners is getting more difficult with all these mining software out there.
Could it be that your pool is configured with a Wallet address, a concept used by Claymore's Miner, but it's expected to be Worker Name for Sgminer-gm?

Please let me know which mining pool you are using and I will also try that setup.
4179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: December 09, 2016, 07:31:12 PM
50$ +VAT for 10 miners !

wow... and no BTC payment...

it looks nice, but I'll pass Smiley
Awesome Miner doesn't only look nice, it's actually very nice to use as well.

$50 for 10 miner license isn't that much considering that many people are paying $15000 for 10 Antminers. There are of course less expensive hardware out there, but for most people it's worth alot to have Awesome Miner monitoring and ensuring that the mining is running fine. We all know that lost mining time is expensive.

I'm trying to work out BTC payment with the payment processor I'm using - I was promised earlier that it would been available earlier this year. However, if you want to make a payment with Bitcoin, please contact me by e-mail. Thanks!
4180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: December 08, 2016, 09:43:26 PM
You should stop the other miner first. It does make sense that two mining instances for one miner are possible. For example if you configure the software to only use specific GPUs.
So you can be able to mine on one pool with GPU0+1 and the other pool with GPU2+3 for example (I did not test it, but from what I read this is possible).
In my case each rig contains same GPU's. So all i want to select all my 300 hosts, rightclick, choose "Change pool" - that's it. If desired pool have same algo with current working miner - it's just change the pool, if not - closing working miner, starting needed...On each host...
If it sgminer - seems like it works, but if you using Claymore software - it's not.
Hi,
On sgminer and similar, the Change Pool feature can be performed with the API, and no restart is needed.

With Claymore miner, the mining process should be terminated and a new one should startup. In your case it sound like the first process doesn't terminate correctly. Could you please send me your Awesome Miner log file for this scenario and let me know the time when you performed the Change Pool operation? The log file can be found in toolbar: Tools->Log File

About your previous question on profit switching. When running sgminer and similar, you simply enable Awesome Profit Switcher in the Options dialog, Rules. It will look at all the pools that are available for the miner and prioritize in profit order.

Again, with Claymore miner it's much more complicated because there are two different miners depending on algorithm (Zcash vs Ethereum). In this case you need to use the "Multi Engine Profit Switcher" in the Options dialog. Then you need to add two Managed Miners. One with Claymore's Zcash and one with Claymore's Ethereum. Then you start one of them and the profit switcher will automatically switch to the other one (stop the first Managed Miner and start the second).

The scenario with multiple mining software and profit switching between them is a bit complex at the moment. I planning to write a guide on the web site on that topic.
