There are probably several ways of doing this, but if you are fine with using a mobile friendly web interface, you could check out Awesome Miner. The main application where you setup everything is Windows-based, but it also has a build in web interface that can be accessed from a tablet or smart phone. Please note that the web interface is communicating with Awesome Miner, and Awesome Miner is connecting to the Antminer. There is no direct connection between the smart phone and the miner.

I am seeing the three temps just like in your image. But those are the PCB temps on the S9 and not the chip temps. As I'm sure you know, the S9 has basically two different temps for each board, PCB and chip. Give me a few minutes and I will add an image of my miners.
Now I get it - thanks! Yes, the chip temperatures are also provided by the Antminer API response, but they are currently not processed by Awesome Miner. I can probably add them like stats.ChipTemp1 and so on to allow customization of the progress field. Would that be OK?
|
|
|
On an additional note, I tried to add custom fields to the progress field to monitor the chip temp on the S9. It didn't work and I ended up locking up the program causing me do a reinstall. It would be REALLY nice to have access to the chip temps on the S9. If that is doable with customization, I must have done something wrong and any tips on getting those readings would be HIGHLY appreciated!! In the latest version (v.1.7.2) I made a change that should have solved the locking problem when the progress field was incorrectly configured. In addition to that, I also added a setting that will enable Awesome Miner to display all temperatures. If you upgrade to the latest version and go to the Options dialog, Appearance section, and change the Temperature Display setting, you should see the information you are looking for. Excellent. I just upgraded and went to Options, Appearance, and changed the temp settings to "All". But I'm not seeing the chip temps. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong. Sorry if it's a dumb question. I still have in the Customize Progress Field / Define Custom Expressions - Line 2: "R: "+ status.Rejected + ", HW: " + status.HwErrors and Line 3: "Temp: " + stats.Temp1 + "/" + stats.Temp2 + "/" + stats.Temp3 Should I remove those or do I need to add an additional line for the chip temps? (Removing the check marks don't cause chip temps to appear.) Thank you for the great work and any assistance you (or anyone else) can provide. Best wishes! When you set the temperature display to All, you are supposed to see three temperatures like this (instead of only one that is default). Also, when I try your "Line 3" configuration, I do see all three temperatures there as well. Could you generate an API report and send me (Tools -> API Report), maybe together with the Awesome Miner log file (Options -> Advanced)?

thanks for adding support for sia dual mining! just a quick question how can i control sia intensity from AM could you include snap shot of how you entered it into pool configuration GUI thanks for the help.
The Sia intensity command line parameter is -dcri according to the Claymore readme. In Awesome Miner, you can set this in the properties of the Managed Miner (right click on the miner and select Properties). Go to the Command Line section on the left side, and add the following in the Command Line Parameters section: -dcri 70

Hi, I am using Awesome Miner Pro to manage three S7's and four S9's. Is there a way to add the three additional temps for the S9 chips to the AW display? I tried to add the temps via the customize menu without success at all. As a matter of fact it freezes AW and none of the options are clickable including close and minimize. I have to go into task manager and end task. I can't even get back into customize to remove the commands I added. Any suggestions on this other than uninstalling and reinstalling the whole application? I would hate to start from scratch. Thanks for any answers! EDIT: Well, uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work. It too me back to the original frozen application. I guess I will have to uninstall again and go find any reference to AW on my machine and delete it. Hi, To clean the settings, open the folder %AppData%\AwesomeMiner in the File Explorer. Remove all files named ConfigData.xml*. Then you can start Awesome Miner with all settings removed. If you want, you could also send me your Awesome Miner log file so I can figure out why you run into this problem. The log file AwesomeMiner.log is located in the folder %LocalAppData%\AwesomeMiner. Thanks!

I downloaded the Siacoin stratum miner (which is a sgminer 5.4 kernel) and put in on a machine and got it showing finemon AwesomeMiner. It also allows me to import the pool and shows it with the Sia Kernel.
Is there a way to put that file (Sgminer with Siacoin) on other machines through AwesomeMiner? It would be great if it is possible.
Also, any chance of getting Genoils Ethereum miner on AwesomeMiner? I know it was discussed a page or 2 back. I am using Claymore's but really do not like it, it burns more power and doesn't yield better hashrate, especially with the Dev fee involved.
Thanks
I'm working on this feature to upload and use a custom Sgminer to all remote computers. The idea is to have it ready for next release. I know that some people prefer Genoils Ethereum miner, but because it doesn't provide any API, it will be complex to implement, and not much statistics you would be able to get anyway. I'm not saying that it never will happen, but it's really an effort.

Hi, I have the Professional edition of AM. Is there a way to add a rental from Mining Rig Rentals under the miner tab that will give you speed, errors, profitability, etc.? Thanks for any response! Hi, That is currently not supported, but thanks for the suggestion. I do take note of all feature requests, and try to make sure the most important requests are added in future versions of Awesome Miner.

I have added the wallet address and filled in the other options and it is still does not function with ethpool or etherminer. It does however work with Nanopool. If there is a work around please advise. Thanks
I did see in the conversation above that you sorted out this problem. Great! If you run into any problems like this in the future, you can also send me the Awesome Miner log file (available in Options Dialog, Advanced section) and I can try to help out. Many thanks for all good comments and discussions in this thread.

How would I go about installing the custom Sgminer? Do I need to log in to each computer and download and install or can I do that through AwesomeMiner?
I am not sure what is different in the SgMiner fork for LBRY Tokens and wonder if I can mine it with the regular version of Sgminer
If you are using custom mining software that is not listed in Awesome Miner, you do need to download and install it on each computer. However I can add this as an item on the feature list for future versions of Awesome Miner. It would be nice if you could push custom software to each Remote instance. I am now switching to Managed Miners using Claymore's. It is not working but I looked at the screen on the Managed machine as it launches the miner and it says the wallet is invalid. I double checked and it does not work. I launched claymore's from the same machine manually and it worked with the default conf file but there seems to be an issue with the way the data is formatted in AwesomeMiner. Here is a screenshot of it launching with AwesomeMiner (took a video and then screen captured because it is only on the screen for a second.
I assume you have added your pool in Awesome Miner as a Pool. In the Pool settings (Options dialog -> Pools, then select your pool and click Edit), you can define "Wallet Address". Have you specified a value here?

I bought a subscription for 80-100 rigs (cannot remember) for BTC miners and love AwesomeMiner. I am now mining Eth and have 40+ rigs all running EthOS.
I have had a disagreement with the EthOS guys and saw you support Claymore's. I am in the process of making an ssd to duplicate with all the necessaries to get 40 rigs running with AwesomeMiner. I have installed the Remote Agent but have a couple of questions I could not find the answers for:
1- Do I need to have the Remote Agent or Service configured for the rigs? I think it is the Agent but do not want to make 40 copies and then need to change each one individually -lol
2- Is it possible to Use the latest SgMiner Forks through the Remote Agent. I am asking in regards to LBRY mining - it uses an Sgminer 5.4.0 fork. Or do I need to install in directly on the mining rigs individually.
Lastly, I cannot remember the number of rigs I purchased a license for, I think it was 80-100 but might be 50. Can you verify and let me know by PM -
I hope to get this rolling in the next 24 hours - I will be your biggest fan -
Thanks
Hi, 1) If you want to fully control the mining, you need to use the Managed Miner concept which requires the Remote Agent to be installed on all your rigs. An alternative would be to let Awesome Miner connect directly to the Claymore Ethereum Miner API on each computer, but that will not give you all features. You can find more information about Managed Miner and External Miner concepts here: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/minertypes.aspxIf you go for Managed Miner concept with Remote Agent, you only have to make sure that Remote Agent is running on all your computers used for mining. All configuration of pools and operations like change pool, start and stop the miner will be performed from a single computer where you run Awesome Miner. From Awesome Miner you can perform these operations on several computers running Remote Agent at once. 2) Awesome Miner can automatically download and install the standard version of Sgminer 5.4. You can point Awesome Miner to use a custom Sgminer version, but then you need it do that for all miners.

I tried to use 3 miners with it and it always changes their worker names to the same name am I missing something or is it a limitation to the free version?
That should work. The only exception might be Claymore's Ethereum miner that doesn't support reporting worker name. What mining software did you use in Awesome Miner and did you have the same pool added several times, with only different worker names? its the last build release for the s5 no i didnt have multiple copies of the same pool i'll try that thanks Can you please send me the API report for your miner where you experience this problem? Select the miner and click the "View Details..." button on the right hand side. Click the "Generate API Report" and send me the output by e-mail. Thanks!

HI Patrike, Any News on remote monitoring for remote locations with dynamic IP ( maybe NO-IP or Dyn dns or something...) Without Hamachi? I have 4 rigs on remote location that i find hard to access via TeamViewer every time i need to check on them, and pool statistic is late and not 100% correct at all times Thanks Hi, Without Hamachi it will be a bit difficult, you probably need to do some router configuration as described on the web site: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/remotenetworks.aspx

Hmm... Checked the Awesome Miner, and didn't found reliable crash functionality (maybe, I've missed some settings?). Looks like it can't restart computer/GPU if some videocard will die, or the hashrate fill fall below defined limit (which is usually also means, that one of the GPU is dead). It's not a fully functional replacing...
Hi, Awesome Miner can do that and much more. For the advanced users, it also provides a C# script interface, to add even more flexibility. You can find more information on the link below, and just let me know if you have any questions: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/rules.aspx

Hi
patrike, I'm choosing a monitoring software and I have questions to you. 1. Has your software any history for miners? In dashboard I can see the small part of history, some hours. But I'd prefer to have a history report either. For example, how miners has been working for a last week or last month. Another example is how much money gave me any particular miner or a group of miners. 2. I'm using Claymore's miner. As you know, it mines ETH and DCR. But I can see only ETH statistics in miners tab. 3. Can I create event-based management? For example, if a miner not responding for 10 minutes, reboot a miner computer. Another example. If a miner hashrate is bellow treshold for 5 minutes, start reinitialization script. All my miners are linux-based (Ubuntu). I suppose it must be a client or ssh-based managing system.
Thanks for answer!
Hi, 1) There are no more history than what you can see in the dashboard. I will put this as a request for improvement in future versions. 2) In the miner list there is only room for displaying one coin. The Eth+Dcr dual mining is really an exception to everything else where it's always one pool and one coin. The coin from the pool with highest priority will be displayed. To see information from all pools/coins, you need to select the Pools tab. If you have any suggestions how this could be improved, please let me know. 3) There is a concept of Rules that can be defined in Options dialog, Rules section. There are predefined rules like Offline Detection and Accept Progress. You can also define your own rules based on the Hashrate property for example, where you can define a threshold speed. When any of these rules are triggered, you can define what action Awesome Miner should take. The action could be to send Restart command to the miner, send an SSH-command to the miner, send e-mail notification or execute any application. If you need an even more advanced way of controlling events and actions, there is a built in C# scripting feature that you can use in combination with the rules. You will find more information on the web site: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/rules.aspxhttp://www.awesomeminer.com/help/script.aspx
