421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: February 20, 2018, 03:11:53 PM
If we need to raise funds, let's raise funds to list it!

Airdrop on Monday, as far as I can see, was about 191 000 BTX. If in dollars, it's about $ 5 million.
and the developer does not have any 450k USD to bring a coin to a good stock exchange?

maybe I'm here something I do not understand, explain!

-----

At the moment, no large and respectful exchange will take Bitcore for listing because now developers have a lot of coins. As soon as the airdrop is completed and, accordingly, coins from the developers, only then it will be possible to talk about large exchanges. You can also see the road map, when there are new exchanges.

Who told you this?
Exchanges don't really give a shit, it's all about money and politics.

What's with all the noob accounts who never posted in this thread and are now experts?  Grin

I have lost confidence in the project due to Cryptopia appropriating airdrops delaying transfers. There is something rotten.

Good, get out then or take it up with cryptopia.
423  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you trust chart analysts? on: February 19, 2018, 05:47:36 PM
It might give you some insight but I don't take it that serious. A chart is just a chart, the market is a different beast.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: February 17, 2018, 06:34:59 PM
It's possible to get airdrop on mac os?

You just need to register your bitcore address, by signing a message.
Doesn't matter what OS you're doing that from.
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple seems become a darling of US Federal Reserve. on: February 17, 2018, 06:32:54 PM
People investing in ripple don't understand what crypto is about.
Good luck exchanging your fiat and btc for ripple.
426  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Hit $20K in few weeks time? on: February 17, 2018, 04:48:29 PM
We will be going back up to 20k and reach a new ath this year, but could be months instead of weeks.
427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people want Bitcoin? on: February 17, 2018, 04:41:34 PM
We have a group that are believers, and we have a group of people who are joining for purely speculative reasons.
I feel like more people are recognizing btc's value though.
428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BIcoin Manipulation on: February 16, 2018, 03:38:13 PM
How can btc manipulation. You no need invest big money but we can earn big money

If you want to manipulate bitcoin you have to do it through other means, by controlling the media, things like that.
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think the current crash is a biggest opportunity to grab asap? on: February 16, 2018, 03:35:45 PM
Is this a cheap price grab opportunity?

Ok let's be clear, who told you that this is a cheap price? this person who told you that the price is cheap. he have some crystal ball to know if in the future the price will be too high? do not think that bitcoin will only increase in price and that the price is predestined to rise to more than $ 20,000, and it is possible that $ 10,000 or even $ 12000 is the maximum that the price rises, no one is absolutely sure that the price will reach the $ 20,000, for example of this increase today, it may be possible that people are increase because of the other free money ( hard fork), I'm talking about Bitcoin private BTCP and after that the price falls again ... the truth is that the price increases because of good news as hard fork and when we do not have good news the price do not increase much. and this year there is no good news capable of providing increases of $ 20,000

None of these forks (btcp lol who cares about that anyway)  have any influence on the bitcoin price.
430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin finally hit 20K on: February 16, 2018, 03:31:09 PM
It is unlikely for Bitcoin price to hit $20,000 by end of Feb. But nothing is impossible in crypto. In any case, $20,000 shouldn’t be a difficult target by end of this year. Let’s hope for the best for Bitcoin.

It will certainly be a possibility to reach that (and higher) this year, I have a feeling things might turn bullish soon again.
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Kill The Income Tax on: February 15, 2018, 01:17:02 PM
No, it won't.
If anything the IRS is going to be making more money on Tax Evasion fines with the way people around here just choose to not report anything to them.
For small amounts, sure, you might get away with it, but if you are making tens of thousands of dollars "vanish" by hiding it this way, you're probably going to find out the hard way.
Remember, you gotta have Fiat to buy it first, and that Fiat is probably sitting in a bank somewhere.
Good luck to all of you who choose to try to do this and think you're pulling one over on them. The same thing happened with offshore accounts. They found a way, and they nailed people to the wall who did it.
Except more people will work for bitcoins then will be buying from centralized exchanges in the future. The collapse of centralized exchanges will be the beginning of a bitcoin economy.

Can't wait for all these exchanges with their bad support and policies to get booted out by decentralized ones.
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a cryptocommodity or a cryptocurrency? on: February 15, 2018, 12:59:00 PM
It was supposed to be a currency, but with it's current specs I'd say it turned into more of a commodity.
433  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are some disadvantages of BTC? on: February 15, 2018, 12:27:31 PM
Scaling and high transaction fee's. If you want to be able to compete with real payment systems then you need better specs.

Bitcore BTX: top performance

Bitcore has been outperforming most top100 cryptocurrencies in 2018 in regards of USD and BTC value!
If you are a HODLer and include the airdrops we have a +57.5% gain in value since the start of the year.
But even without the airdrop BTX has been performing extremely well!

Thank you to our community.

Nice!  Grin

Yeah not too shabby, it has been one of my best performers overall so not surprised.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Another Coin Take the Crown? on: February 14, 2018, 07:33:18 PM
It will be a long time coming before bitcoin could be taken over, if ever. But we can  have some good coins co-exist with it, no need for btc to be taken over for now.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Airdrop] Nevra (XEV) - Equality, Freedom, Trust on: February 13, 2018, 11:33:37 PM
liberty, equality and ... trust (fraternity)
you are inspired by the motto of my country, France, i like
but i'm worried about all those coin or token premined with holders rewards
in candyland it's promising but in real world full of greedy and dishonest peoples it's less
i don't tell this project is plan to create a valuable coin for to dump at good time but it's in my concern and probably that of others people who aren't interested for easy quick money but more by a solid and trustable longterm project
of course i make allusion at similar project with a vegetable
That's why the airdrop list will be based on the activity that people have on this ANN to avoid the people that can't understand the value of the coin and the people that seek only fortune over night.

The airdrop list will also be verified by the community as well as the dev and mods. So if there are airdrop members who we think are just in it to dump then I would expect concerns would be identified about this during the verification phase.

I really cannot understand people who are dumping for quick profits, crypto as a whole has such great potential over the next few years and any rewards people are taking now would be far higher in the future when crypto becomes mainstream.

There's always some people that will dump, and in some way it will be a necessity for further and better distribution.

I just read the white paper and the project is ambitious and above all quite innovative.

It is true that the problems raised are real and that there is currently no ideal token distribution.
I hope nevra can contribute to a new way of seeing things.
I can not wait to see how the project will evolve and I will be delighted to contribute.

The wayis long....good luck to the team  Smiley

I think the ambitions of the team are very impressive, the WP addresses the fairness of airdrop systems well and highlights the faults.

I am very surprised to see that there are only 118  messages on here so far, I guess the team's concerns about the number of non-genuine signups is being proven to be correct.

It's a problem few coins address. As we outlined in the whitepaper, there are essentially two ways that coins have been distributed, either by beginning as an open structure without filters, so that anyone can join, even those who seek to claim double stakes, then transforming into a pyramid or just remaining open to everyone, marketing and hyping as quickly as possible and floating on hot-air.

I'm glad to see everyone expressing their concerns/feedback here on this thread, i appreciate those 1 of those comments over 100s of puppets spamming this thread. And for that reason, this distribution can happen here, open to the public view.

Update #2
We're currently discussing the total supply of Nevra behind the scenes, and there is a good argument to raise the total supply to 120,000,000 XEV's. If this were to occur, all stakes would still carry the same weight, but multiplied by 1000. So essentially 1 NevraStake would equal 1,000,000 XEV's once the mainnet goes live.

I would like to know what type of supply that's preferred. Nothing has been changed yet, and if it does i will announce it or open a vote here on the thread.

What's the dev team's argument for raising the supply? I do think you're moving in a better direction by upping the supply though, but more or less because it seems easier to reach a higher marketcap.

So you got phished and are now blaming the people from myetherwallet?
439  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the factor of downfall of bitcoin? on: February 08, 2018, 01:00:53 PM
People just want fiat profit. They don't care about bitcoin.
The people who get in for profit might see their money go down the drain. They pull out again, and they will never invest in bitcoin ever again.
Leading to long consolidation periods.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple founder has sold all his Bitcoin on: February 08, 2018, 12:46:29 PM
Apple's co-founder Steve Wozniak confirms he has sold all his Bitcoin.
