So what happened here? Development ceased for this coin?
I think this one ended before it even began  Cry

Only a fool would have thought this was a legitimate venture.  It was nothing more than an attempt to scam some easy btc.  When that fell apart they moved on to another scam.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AXIOM] AxiomMemHash, Schnorr Sigs Implemented, APOS 3.0, AXH 2.0 Proposed on: September 03, 2015, 02:12:00 PM
We just committed extreme CPU speed up of +85%!!! compared to latest Axiom CPU miner released by NiceHash.

We welcome all linux gurus to tell what has to be modified in build files to successfully build the project on linux.

So far, it can compile fine in VS2013 and Mingw64. Mingw64 creates bins with much higher speeds.

We already have win bins, but will release them a bit later once we test them that everything is working fine for different CPU architectures.

Special thanks to sandor111 for creating the optimizations! BTC for donations: 1AMsjqzXQpRunxUmtn3xzQ5cMdhV7fmet2

EDIT: Read here to get Win bins: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=news&id=36

Great news. Just wish the devs would be supporting this coin as much as you guys have been.

There is nothing to support.  Coin is done and those behind it have moved on.  This 85% increase in the cpu miner just proves how crippled the miner was at launch.  And that was no accident.  I called this from the beginning.   I was right again as usual.

Another so called cpu only coin with a massively crippled miner at launch for the masses while optimized cpu miners and gpu miners were being used in private from the very beginning.  Pumped by a bunch of shill accounts and dumped by those behind the coin launch.  Just another typical altcoin based on nothing but false promises hiding behind smoke and mirrors.

Finally I got my solo mining up and running (or so I thought...)
I keep finding blocks but my coins disappear. I also tried purging
roaming/shift folder and start from scratch - same thing... Here is a screenshot:
(kept checking my balance)

EDIT: my BAT file:
Code:
shift-windows-amd64.exe --rpc --rpcaddr 192.168.1.220 --shiftbase 0xce50a8dad59243b21013b8dce2bc59dc85781515 console

Your block got orphaned

Block Number   9240

Damn... I get a lot of blocks like that and all of them are orphans? Is this normal?
I mean - it's normal to have orphans, but that is a lot....

I only see one mined block in that screenshot.  7th line down where it says "mined block".

When I start shift with:

Code:
shift-windows-amd64.exe --rpc --rpcaddr 192.168.1.220 console

I don't get to connect to any peers (admin.peers shows zero).
I have forwarded port 53900 on the router (it looks like this is what shift is using)
but no luck. How long will it take to connect to some peers or can I add them manually?

Start it with just   shift-windows-amd64.exe --rpc
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MACRO | POW | - Unmoderated for fos on: September 02, 2015, 11:56:20 PM
Grin Grin Richie From trex was defending the coin saying it met all their expectations, LOL I linked him to here, Then the second wallet came on and started dumping, Trex are in on it, Why else would they add it on launch. Now it's sitting at 500 sats going nowhere. Still awaiting a reply from Trex on when they are pulling it down

Of course trex is in on it.  It's the same thing with all those scammy ico's on yobit and c-cex.  They're either launching them themselves or they're working with the scammer that are.  They have full knowledge of what''s going on.

I guess if meeting expectations is scamming people then yes the coins meet their expectations.

MACRO   0.00000500   -89.5%  Pathetic.  But just wait the dev will make some post about how the coin failed because of all the so called fud.  Wash, Rinse, Repeat...........
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MACRO | POW | SCAMMER on: September 02, 2015, 09:15:23 PM
You noticed the official thread has only 2 pages left now? Its like he deletes EVERYTHING! LOL Grin
What a kiddo.....  Grin

if you look at 'trex - for him it worked.. quite a few coins have been sold as it looks..
I contacted bittrex support over 12 hours ago.they could of stopped it then.i will post the replies I recieved from bill and what i wrote. He didnt really care that much.lol

It's probably his coin.  yobit, c-cex, and now bittrex all launching their own coins.  It's easy for them to manipulate the volume stats when it's hosted on your own exchange.  I don't believe that the volume on bittrex is from actual buying from new investors.  crap coin, fake stats, shit exchange.  That about sums it up.  Poloniex is about the only exchange not running these scams.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MACRO | POW | SCAMMER on: September 02, 2015, 02:17:17 PM
so this scam really goes to trex?

scam/bittrex one in the same.

Doesn't run on 64 bit systems?

This is very odd. I'm the developer of the GUI ShiftWallet, so I can't say directly what the problem is. I'm also on a mac atm. When I get home I'll try and have a look if I get the same error in win8.

Hey I got it working and am mining right now.  Somehow when I downloaded the binaries they were not complete.  The file size was only 40k instead of the 22mb.  Don't know how that happened but it's ok now. Thanks

It should be no problem at all. I just tested it out in win 8 64.

Btw the wiki is updated, its "account new" instead of "address new"

Regards

Hmm, I get an unsupported 16 bit application dialogue box on both windows 8 and 7 64 bit.

One and the same most likely.

omg check out the distribution tab for this coin on trex

But look at the volume.  All fake.  I have no sympathy for anyone buying this crap.  They will likely find themselves bent over with their britches around their ankles.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MACRO | POW | - Unmoderated for fos on: September 01, 2015, 05:20:20 PM
It's a 50% premine, no ICO, being sold on Bittrex.  What a joke.

No I missed those.  I guess I overslept and was late to the party. Cheesy

This so called ICO is 50% premined and being dumped on Bittrex.  They are deleting all posts except for their shill accounts.  Don't buy this garbage.
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Best Marijuana Coin? on: September 01, 2015, 08:57:32 AM
The Marijuana industry will not be using any of these coins or any cryptocurrency for that matter for sales transactions.  At least not in the United States and I'll tell you why.

Currently there are no banks that will deal with the Marijuana businesses in the United States because although it might be legal at the state level in some states it's still a schedule 1 controlled substance under federal law.   Because of that the banks will not conduct business with the dispensaries operating in states like Colorado, Washington, and Oregon.  These dispensaries deal strictly in cash because they do not have access to banking.   Just what are they going to do with a cryptocurrency that they will need to convert to bitcoin and then cash?  There is no avenue for them to convert cryptocurrency to cash because they do not have access to banking services.  Until these businesses have some method of converting cryptocurrency into cash they will not be accepting them for transactions.

I have been to dispensaries in Colorado and Washington and they are doing a robust business.  I don't think that they will complicate their business model by adding a payment that would just add to the legal and financial maze that they are already dealing with.

I'm not making any judgement on any of these coins.  It's the concept that the marijuana industry in the United States will adopt a cryptocurrency anytime soon that is faulty.

Hey Shojayxt. I get what you are saying. It is illegal under federal law currently this is true.  I just think at some point those restrictions will be lifted and 'weedcoins' and Bitcoin will be poised to strike. We are working on a merchant platform that will automatically convert so theoretically that can act like the 'bank' so to speak.  The reason they will add crypto is because of the digital ease of it . Just like Bitcoin has made payments so easy , there will be niche coins to fill this need for Cannabis. Good debate ShoJayxt.  Grin

Stop in on DopeCoins thread and say hi sometime Wink
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=467641.6060

The problem is that the restrictions with banking are strangling the Marijuana industry.  I know people in the industry and they would like nothing more than to be able to conduct business with Bank of America, US Bank, etc...  Cash is good but these guys need someplace to put that cash.  It's dangerous and the wrong element is aware of the amounts of cash these establishments deal with.  You also need a bank account to conduct any significant btc to fiat transactions.  I've been to shops in Colorado and Washington.  They're packed most of the day with customers.  They don't want to  hold on to that cash.  They would rather be able to deposit it at "Name your bank".  Unfortunately, Federal law in the United States says Marijuana is worse than Cocaine.  Banks are not going to do business with any entity until the federal law is rescinded.  If you live in the United States then write your Representatives and Senators.  Heck, send a letter to the President himself asking him to decriminalize Marijuana.  The more the better.  It's insane that in some states you can be locked up for twenty years for having a joint.

Ya think?  It's not like the end result wasn't obvious from the beginning.  Plenty of warnings from many people.
