421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 【BIG NEWS】BITCOIN CASH IS BITCOIN on: October 17, 2017, 12:35:07 PM
haha, it is too soon to start topics like this.
we all know bitcoin cash is a useless altcoin and the only usefulness of it is to get pump and dumped. that is why i say it is too soon, you should start your FUD when bitcoin price drops, like in a correction or something.
for now everyone is busy with bitcoin price and a couple of altcoins like ETH which had a fork recently Wink
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold will be another Bitcoin Cash? on: October 16, 2017, 05:14:39 PM
Many people tells BTG will become another failure. What is the base in this? Can this be true?

well mostly people make a guess without any bases. sometimes they say it just because BTG is not advertising enough, sometimes it is because it has a premine, and sometimes it is because they were planning on running an ICO but changed their minds.

in the end, the question really is what do you call a "failure"?
something that has bugs and people lose money because of it? then ETH is the biggest one since people lost millions in it!
something that has a low price, or declining price? then all the altcoins that ever got pump and dumped are failures.

BTG will happen, and i think it can even gain some popularity and even get pumped. but i don't expect anything big out of it.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: crypto strategy this week? on: October 16, 2017, 05:04:56 PM
maybe it is just me but it was very easy for me to decide the strategy for this week.

i pulled my bitcoin out of altcoin market and i am currently holding bitcoin and outside of the market. doing this i am doing two things, (1) i get ready for bitcoin gold forked coins and (2) i stop losing money because altcoins are getting dumped.

although the strategy doesn't stop there. i am watching the market closely and i am waiting for my moment to come back in. for example i already have placed buy orders in some altcoins to buy them in case they went below support lines.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: crypto Currency is making people millionaires all over the world on: October 16, 2017, 04:46:37 PM
people have been saying this for a very long time. and yet we only hear rare stories of people who "bought and forgot" to come back to a large amount of money.

and in my opinion this is a poisonous way of thinking. to just think of becoming a millionaire from cryptocurrencies. bitcoin obviously has a lot of potential and is a good investment. altcoins are also good short term investments and can be very profitable. but none of this means you should expect miracles.
and when people start thinking of becoming millionaires, they would also want it to happen overnight and that is even worse.
425  Economy / Speculation / Re: My bitcoin price predictions for the next 3 years on: October 16, 2017, 04:27:45 PM
... we're never to know what's around the corner.

i mostly agree with what you said, i just want to add that despite not knowing what is around the corner and all the risks of that, we know that worse case scenario is just delaying the inevitable.
the rise will happen, as it happened after the Gox disaster. it took long to recover from that but the recovery happened and even Japan (home of Gox) came back to the game stronger than before.
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: help with the bitcoin gold fork on: October 15, 2017, 01:10:56 PM
you have to have bitcoin when the fork happens. the time is 99% of the time a block height. for bitcoin gold it is not yet set. they have said it will be on 25th of October but things may not be ready by then.

also there is no "accounts" in bitcoin to be credited with bitcoin gold. you have private keys when you use a bitcoin wallet which you can use to claim bitcoin gold with. you have to import them into the wallet that they team releases to claim them. you get 1:1 amount of BTG.

and no it doesn't matter what you do after that specific time.

Thanks for the reply! I use Bittrex and assumed is was going to work like the Bitcoin cash fork, where they make a BTG wallet once it goes live and it automatically credits you with a 1:1 ratio of BTG for how much BTC you had when it forked?

it may be like that too. even if not with bittrex, there are other exchanges that may do it.
but the difference between BTG and BCH is that bitcoin cash was more popular (at least they made a lot more noise in the social media) and they were more vocal and accessible. i feel like bitcoin gold devs are not communicating with the community that much!

what you can do is check back around the time fork is scheduled to be. meaning between October 20-24 (the fork is on 25) and see if bittrex (or any other exchanges) released any statement about BTG. they will most probably do it soon. and reading that you can see if they will or won't give you BTG 1:1

428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin back to ATH (All Time High) soon ? on: October 15, 2017, 11:42:09 AM
the current price rise of Litecoin (the USD value) is because of bitcoin price rise and the fact that there is a HUGE resistance around the 0.01BTC price (in the BTC market) which never lets litecoin to go below that mark so it keeps the price up.

there is also the fact that LTC is a good altcoin with a lot of media attention lately with the developer so active in the social media and with SegWit and with that other stuff.

i can see LTC rise a lot more this year too.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Ark will move soon? on: October 15, 2017, 11:28:13 AM
i think you bought it too soon. some weeks ago like mid September was still in the bubble area. you see Ark, like many other altcoins, has been pumped. it started around 50,000 satoshi and was pumped up to nearly 120,000 satoshi in less than 2 weeks. when you see something like that you have to wait until price comes down to a bottom or at least stabilizes before you buy.

it seems that ~50K is the bottom though. but it is always hard to tell with these altcoins. if it were the bottom then there may be some chance of recovery but don't expect anything big so soon.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH and ICO's on: October 15, 2017, 11:09:41 AM
this is actually one of the biggest fears among ETH investors.

we all know that the ICOs played a key role in the current Ether price. and this makes the price very dangerous. which is why many believe Ethereum is still in a big bubble that needs to burst first.
and it is not just about "running out of ideas" issue. we have all seen that recently many different countries started banning ICOs and announcing them as "illegal". this can eventually put an end to Ethereum too.
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we know for sure exchanges giving BTCGold ? on: October 15, 2017, 10:58:33 AM
maybe i am wrong but i read somewhere on the forum that someone said Yobit is going to add bitcoin gold pretty soon. it is not going to be something new from them either. they usually add coins like this very fast and without paying any attention to anything. even if it has a virus for the wallet. they don't run the wallet anyways!
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH after 2017! on: October 13, 2017, 10:46:23 AM
i am expecting a pump from ETH but there will be a big dump first.
probably price will go down drastically to a much lower level because of the bitcoin price rise and also the fact that ETH has another high risk hard forks on the way. and when people dump, they cause a ripple effect leading to bigger drop.
there is also the ICO issues and all the bans. it is even possible China and Russia and Japan ban ETH itself if they can't control the ICO scams and that will be a big dump.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoin die or no?? on: October 13, 2017, 10:35:25 AM
there is pump then there is a dump afterwards.

you already saw the pump and have been happy so far with the rise in altcoin prices. now you are seeing the dump part of it and you are surprised and some people are even scared and panic dumping because they never expected it. but when you spend some time around you can see it is a very common thing to happen.
altcoins get pump and dumped every now and then. sometimes they get pumped and then dumped together too.
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Silver on: October 13, 2017, 10:23:51 AM
this has always reminded me of Chinese products. if you have ever seen some of their brands there are a lot of them which use the famous brand names. like for example the Nike brand has equivalent in China called something very similar like NiRe with the same picture too but with a little difference.

obviously the Chinese version of those products are nothing close to the real ones. and they may affect the market a little but never in the long run.

here is some pictures:

435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BTG be similar to BCH in terms of price speculation? on: October 12, 2017, 12:58:16 PM
BCH was a useless fork, mostly to attack bitcoin. it was done by the miners (with their ASIC farms) to have an additional income. you can see how they abuse the emergency difficulty adjustment thing. it also has some rich people behind it who pump it and keep the price up.

BTG is also a useless fork, but at least it is not attacking bitcoin. not yet anyways and it is changing the algo so miners (with their ASICs) can't switch and abuse. people at home with their graphic cards (PC) can mine it, so it has that going for it. but i don't see anyone behind it to be able to pump and dump it. it also has a premine!

this means each of these forks have some points that helps them have their price and some other points that will prevent it and cause a dump. i think in short term after release there will be a big dump (obviously because of airdrop) then it may see a very nice rally to even go up to BCH's ATH. 0.1BTC for example is a possibility.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Gold strategy on: October 12, 2017, 12:43:33 PM
you have to be very careful about what wallet you choose. for example the BTG wallet may even contain malwares to steal your bitcoins, private keys. or it can even damage your main wallet if you install it on the same system.

the best course of action is always to empty the keys from bitcoin first then import them into BTG clients.

if you are not sure, it is best to wait a while before claiming them. waiting means if any issue exists with their wallet it will be revealed and you will know about it. if you get greedy and rush to claim it, you may end up losing a lot.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you guys keep set mind, where store your eth during the fork on 16? on: October 12, 2017, 12:32:03 PM
it really depends on the fork. it always is. not just this fork but any other fork of altcoins.

if the fork happens easily without any issues, like other forks of ETH, it doesn't matter where you put your coins, in the end there will be an "upgraded" ETH and only one chain!

but if the fork happens like last fork (ETH/ETC) then i am sure their developers will fail to implement replay protection once again and you will lose your money no matter if you do it or hold it on exchanges. like last time. but in any case if you control your private keys (like having your coins in your desktop wallet) you can control what happens to you.
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Putin Good or Bad? on: October 12, 2017, 12:25:28 PM
as long as i can remember, someone in Russia has been saying the same things. the subjects are always taxation of bitcoin transactions and the illegal stuff that may be done with it. so far they have not done anything about it though.

it is obviously a bad thing if they even talk negatively or finally do something about it like banning bitcoin but in the end it wouldn't matter for bitcoin in long term.
439  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be 10k in the next 6-10 months! on: October 11, 2017, 03:26:40 PM
not much of a prediction if you ask me Cheesy
obviously looking at the trend and performance of bitcoin a 2x rise in 10 months is a simple and pretty common thing! anyone looking at the history can confirm this. and $10K is a little bit bigger than 2x rise now.

additionally he is saying all the possible things in one comment. we all know when the drama (which acts like a hand break) goes away the price soars high so when SegWit SegWit2x drama ends peacefully price will go to the moon.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH bleeding death? on: October 11, 2017, 03:15:13 PM
all the altcoins are going down. why do you think bitcoin cash needs to be different from all the other (pump and dump) altcoins?
everyone is finally dumping their bags and pretty soon there will be a massive panic selling all around the altcoin market. at least in man coins it will be like this.

and i can't really agree that BCH will die anytime soon though. the Bitmain and this Ver character will continue pouring money into it if they feel a death threat.
