421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your state on mind if your son stole your money to gamble? on: January 24, 2024, 01:58:43 PM
It doesn't matter if he wins (or not) but because it was stolen money, he should know the consequences he made. It should not be tolerated as it was already shown that something worse thing to happen if just ignore. As a parent, it was our role to guide our kids to the right direction, not by letting them do even though it was wrong. If does it to his father, he could also do it to other people, and for the sake of gambling, he should be stopped before anything else happens someday. A responsible parents couldn't let that thing happen.

2. Reaching personal target goals

Depending on our preference - as for me, I can make an exit deal when I already gained 5%. But still subject to change depending on the trend which is why we should also be aware of the current situation and look for possible things to happen (continue to pump or dump).

Not all people who hold earn more, sometimes they lose the chance. It is very clear to us how the volatility of the market has given us the opportunity to buy low and sell high. Unfortunately, we usually miss it because of our greed and market temptation. Sometimes FOMO also have an influence on our decisions.
423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prepare for the Next Dip before the Real Bull. on: January 24, 2024, 10:19:29 AM
We're still on the roller coaster, the market has never been on pump always but also dump and price corrections. Is it really the situation worth worrying about? Indeed, not surprising anymore as we have this kind of situation so many times where corrections come always after a price surge.
Instead of wondering why it has gone like this since ETF was approved, we consider the situation as another chance for us to buy more and also think that ETF couldn't assure anything nor keep the price on top. Let's wait for the halving to change the market direction and bring it back high again, I was even more convinced than ETF, honestly.

What I like about this young team now is that they are complete, they have an unselfish import and they are slowing gaining some confidence which it's very much needed against  tough depender team.

I would say they are battle tested team. Winning against Meralco is such a huge achievement from a young team. And according to their coach, they have a silent leader which is their import, that's why they are successful now. It's a low scoring game so far, 16-18 after the first quarter, Magnolia only leading by 2 points. it's a long way to go and it seems like it might end up to be a close one and bookies might be wrong giving Phoenix a high handicap.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 24, 2024, 08:18:03 AM
This trade that happened I think is beneficial to the Miami Heat.

Heat acquire Terry Rozier in trade with Hornets

Quote
Heat receive:

Terry Rozier
Hornets receive:

Kyle Lowry
2027 first-round pick

They need a guy who can also create his own shots. Terry is a kind of player that could do that, and with the system of the Heat, I believe he will get better and the team will get better as well. Kyle Lowry obviously past his prime now, but Terry is still on his prime.
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the rush to gain profit in crypto? on: January 23, 2024, 10:53:38 PM
lately  there are a lot of fake influencers, fake media whales, scams, fake Airdrops especially on the social media that could lead new crypto beginners to invest their time and money on projects that would do them more harm than good.

...
These are the reasons why some people could think that Bitcoin is a scam or Ponzi Scheme because many people have fallen into the wrong way of investment as trusted these influencers, and lost their hard-earned money. And even if I talk to my friends they even say it was a scam as they hear a lot of people saying and complaining about it.

I can't blame why scammers continue to grow because many people are still greedy and know-how about crypto. Those who are not aware of their scam trick surely put it into their pocket. Those desperate people will take this opportunity without knowing the outcome of their investment until the time has come when they will notice that they are getting scammed.
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zhilei Zhang vs. Joseph Parker (WBO interim heavyweight title) March 8 on: January 23, 2024, 02:07:08 PM
Have you all seen Zhang's press conference he believes that his fight against Parker is and should be the real main event because the Joshua - Ngannou match is just an exhibition while his match against Joseph Parker is a title match and many fans agreed that their match should not be an undercard or even a co main event

I definitely understand his point though, however, boxing is business and they can't promote a boxers that aren't popular. Maybe Zhang has to accept the reality that although he is on a title fight, but his popularity is not as good as the main even stars. He should look at the brighter side, because Joshua - Ngannou which what is promoted will certainly capture the fans to watch and that their fight will be able to generate a good amount of money.
Zhang's is looking for some spotlight here, lol..He is on the retiring age, at 40 years old, I think most boxers have already retired at that age. We are not sure if this is his last fight, but if he lose, I think it will be. however, since he is the heavy favorite, there's a likelihood that he will win and will beat the younger boxer who beat Wilder.

It's a marketing strategy, if he understands and believe that boxing is boxer, he wouldn't complain.
This should be clear to him. Without good marketing, even if the fight is a title fight, they will not be able to make money. And, before this fight was finalized, they all agree with the terms, so why complain?
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 23, 2024, 01:13:49 PM
They are tired of losing I guess, and with this win by the Grizzlies, we've seen how big the impact of losing Siakam. Of course, they can't expect a playoff spot after giving one of their best player if not the best.

Memphis are so unpredictable too, they even beat the Suns without Morant, so how much more the Raptors who aren't as good as the Suns. They are paying the price now, but I believe they understand this possibilities will happen without Siakam, so they'll play their cards, regardless of the outcome of their ranking this season, because they are sure next season they'll be able to acquire young and talented players. That's the price for letting Siakam go, they'll get the number 1.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it even possible to offer 10% daily reward? on: January 23, 2024, 09:29:54 AM
Is the project already making a profit? If not, then we wonder where they could get funds for the rewards (daily) and I doubted how they sustain running the business in a situation like that. Therefore, we could say that it was a scam project and try to trick people into thinking it was real. Even without doing any background check of the project, that 10% daily reward definitely can't happen in real. I already encountered some projects offering huge rewards but none of them fulfilled their promise. I'd rather invest in projects that just offers small shared than in projects like this.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 22, 2024, 11:54:50 AM
Perkins against Abreva. Both are expected to show some extra work here. Let's see how these two spark plugs will boost their respective teams. I like to see how Phoenix will break that tough defense of Magnolia and try to win the game, while on Magnolia's side, it's just another ordinary game for them,  where they are best at both defense and offense, teamwork as always.

That will be a good match up but how about the teammates of Perkins, they are still young and inexperience so I don't think they'll even be competitive aginst the Magnolia Hotspots. One of the reason why the Phoenix won is their good ball movement that leads to great open looks in the 3 point area, but against Magnolia, I doubt it will happen.

Import vs import match up is good, both are tall and hard working but the advantage is on Magnolia since Phoenix import are not good free throw shooter, and that could be exploited in this season. Not sure if it's a best of 7 or best of 5, but I think Phoenix will be lucky to win a game.
431  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: No one has gone broke taking profits, always take profits. on: January 22, 2024, 11:46:34 AM
Nobody will lose if they choose to stay strong, buy Bitcoin, hold them, and sell at a high price. But why are many people still losing? Couldn't be surprising they will because not all are able to follow those things, and not all are willing to wait, many we're too impatient. Those who have the mindset to make profits will certainly be making things in the right way and it was shown by some (including you) but as I've said, not all do it in the right way and so missing the chance.

I'd see people quitting not just because they lack of knowledge but it is due of their incapability to handle their emotions.
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 22, 2024, 11:04:00 AM
Looks like the Lakers did well against the Portland Blazers, they took the chance to get the easy win from them since they really need it most this time. D’Angelo Russell scored 34 points and LeBron James 28 points is the main reason to win this game. I think by this time, they should keep D’Angelo because right now they are not in need of only good players but someone who can understand their games as well D’Angelo already established his chemistries with them and that's their advantage and reasons to win more games in the next time, they should be able to fix their rhythms so that they won't miss their chance to climb to the playoff tree as soon as possible.

Well, I hope they're thinking the same way as we do. I myself see the Lakers as a strong team who can compete in a high level playoffs game, I've seen it when they were playing in the IST. They just need to fix their system to make they offense and defense more consistent.
However, the Lakers may have a different plan and DLo playing good lately is actually good for their plans as well, since DLo's trade value will also increase if he's playing like this. I'm not gonna be surprised if they pull up another trade with DLo or Reaves getting involve with it. The Lakers may not want to fix the system, but they usually opt to fix it by changing the pieces lol.

We will find out that soon but it seems like the atmophere of the Lakers are telling "goodbye Dlo". Bad for him as he hasn't showed up early. If we look at the team now where he was from which is the timberwolves, they get better without him, so I think that's what the Lakers are trying to achieve here.

D'lo is useful if he'll play hard.. he has the talent though, that's not in question, but it seems like he lacks the hussle and energy while on the floor.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your doing for now? on: January 21, 2024, 01:12:30 PM
I'm watching the market, doing some analysis, and buying some altcoins that show a good trend. For now, selling is not a good option but for some reason like diversifying our portfolio, it seems to be the best thing to do now.

Buy now, hold, and sell next year. This is the usual thinking of most as we believe that halving is a huge factor that could increase the price and bullish market. As long as we can wait for the right time to sell, we all can be profitable but those who ain't sacrificing themselves will end up in regret.
434  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people mostly fail in trading on: January 21, 2024, 12:30:30 PM
A wrong understanding of trading makes traders lose as they think that they can dictate the market and underestimate the volatility. There is pressure in trading which means not all can carry with it and give up. Many had failed and only a few became successful and whatever the reason could be.

 - lack of knowledge
 - wrong market approach
 - ineffective strategies
 - losing control of emotions

A lot of factors to consider and it all lies on the trader itself as they know what really happened to them. I can't call myself a successful one but I know that I can make my trade more profitable in the future --I'm still in the learning stage.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Higher and lower risks in gambling is the gamblers choice. on: January 19, 2024, 08:32:44 PM
It is a gambler's choice indeed and as we can see, most gamblers had a choice to take more risk due to the tempting huge rewards. It is a common mentality in a person who believes that if they get lucky, they will become instantly rich. Just to point out how the lottery attracts bettors and despite the small chances of winning, they still choose this. That is how money can manipulate one's mind and even poor people still have the guts to spend their hard-earned money hoping for fortune.
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 19, 2024, 02:24:20 PM
I didn't do that as I don't bother to ask other people about how much they gamble and how much they win. Because even knowing about it still, it never changed my mind and had kept what I usually did as much as possible. I know gambling and I know myself that once I spend more, that adds pressure on myself and is always a reason for terrible losses. I've made a mistake before, I bet more thinking that I could win more and recover my losses but I fail and lose all the money I have in my pocket. So I have to be wise now, $1 per bet could be enough, maybe increasing to $2 is still good but making it $5 per bet, I surely not.
437  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your advised for being a trader? on: January 19, 2024, 01:10:20 PM
I'm not sure if this will make your trading journey successful but this is what I did;

 - I'd focus first on knowing what trading is all about, I'd rather just forget how to earn a profit but try multiple strategies in order to find out what is best and what will work for me.

 - I'd give time to develop my trading skills and analytic capability, and I don't rush.

 - lastly, I accept advice from others and gain ideas from their teaching.

I know it won't work easily but if we want to become a successful trader, then we must have to do it step by step until we get the right trick.
438  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy Bitcoin is around the time of Bitcoin Halving: April 22, 2024 on: January 19, 2024, 11:24:21 AM
There are a lot of people who are reluctant in investing because they seem to be thinking about the price and the total coin they will be accumulating if they start buying now they can do DCA method and accumulate more just in time for halving

Very recommended if there are people out there who are not ready for one big buy but wants to get as much bitcoin as they can
Well, we can force them either. They are not investor and not in their minds to take risks even though they know that Bitcoin is profitable.
Only those who understand crypto will have the courage to invest while the others just ignore the potentiality of this project. It was not new to see people's rejection but I know sooner or later, they will realize and see the value of this project.

We can never say we are at the best time to buy because, for me, the time is during bear season. It is an individual choice and the most important is that we do something before the ATH comes.
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 19, 2024, 07:28:36 AM
Big line movement for SMB. From -6.5, currently it's -8. ROS has a decent lineup also, so it's really hard to decide if we would think that SMB will win because they also need to cover the spread, winning 10+ points will make our bet safe, and they have to start strong so they'll not fall short in the end.

As we can see on the standing https://pba.ph/standings.. ROS are on a 6 winning streak, while SMB are on 5 win streak.

In terms fo import competition, I like the import of SMB as although he is new but you can see how hardworking he is on the floor. In their last game, their import has 44 points and 12 rebounds, he is probably a double double machine.
440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 19, 2024, 06:57:30 AM
Speaking of Raptors, they are in a very close game against the Bulls are their homecourt, current score is 105-106 Bulls. But Kobe White's three is being reviewed right now if there is a shot clock violation or he did get it on time.
Unfortunately they loss after an impressive performance against the Heat. Maybe because they are on a back to back game, and one thing is they don't have Siakam who is also a good offensive and defensive player. It was fun to watch though, it was a close one but the Bulls ended it strong and win.

As for the trade, it's obvious that they are done with their rebuilding phase as they have traded their last player from their championship team. Now, it's Barnes to lead the Raptors in their next couple of seasons and then some of their picks from the Siakam trade.
Not sure if this current line up is a playoff roster, but let's see. It's time for Barnes to shine now, he is leading the team so their performance this season matters a lot on him as a leader.
