441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally reached $20k on: December 17, 2020, 07:25:50 AM
I knew it! Bitcoin will never fail to hype us again because he already did it in 2017-2018.

I know that a new ATH will be reached by bitcoin as I trusted it with my whole heart. I really never doubted bitcoin due to its volatility in the market, this is the best time to tell the whole world that bitcoin is profitable in the market and it can really change someone's life once handled and managed properly.

Hoping that people see the essence and effectiveness of bitcoin compared to other asssets.

Explore and don't be shy to give us also your opinions and thoughts.
443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot go as per your plan on: December 16, 2020, 07:25:06 AM
I'm gonna keep saying this; truth is, $20K doesn't matter, the price doesn't matter. What matters to me the most is that it still serves it's primary purpose. As far as I can still send John Bull $1000 using bitcoin, I'm as good as fine.

Don't expect too much as bitcoin is really volatile in the market and that's the basic mindset that you should always remember.

In bitcoin there's no such thing as assurance in its price, it can fluctuate which is really a risking thing to deal with.

But admit it, it is much better if bitcoin make another ATH this year as this pandemic is still active.

It still profitable for some and we have different mindset and plans towards bitcoin so we should wait for the next year if what will happen next on bitcoin.
444  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans are cheap good time to use loans for Investment in btc on: December 15, 2020, 08:56:22 AM
Crypto as many people have said is high risk investment and this "title" is there for reason, only invest what you can afford to lose.

It is much better to invest on bitcoin when you have money on your own because I don't think that investing a loan is a good thing to do.

High risk means high reward so it is much better to work first and earn money before you invest.

Cryptocurrency is volatile and you need to spend a lot of time and study the market when you want to grow your assets. But if you are really eager to use loan for a bitcoin investment then its your choice, just make sure that you will recover and pay your loans in a proper time and make profits.
445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adult companies and bitcoin? on: December 14, 2020, 01:02:39 PM
It's childish to think that a single site (even the biggest porn one) could move the whole market. Cryptocurrencies are still a nerd niche and far from mass adoption.

Pornhub could raise other things... but cannot be a reason behind a bull run in a 500 billion market.

This adult companies are really popular that millennials are really open minded when it comes to that.

Most of the bitcoin investors are millennials, so it doesn't matter to them as it really help the bitcoin's adoption around the world. But the thing is that there are people against it because it shows very mature content and some stories there are really not a good thing to exploit and show that this platforms are good to access.

But relating it in a bull run is really not that practical or irrelevant.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Defend the bitcoin network to the death on: December 14, 2020, 12:31:16 PM
This is not a cult. You don't have to defend the network with your lives.

Bitcoin can live longer than our lives so it is not such a worry and he already stated that we will not do it literally where we should waste our lives, it is not like that.

It's highly unlikely that Bitcoin will 'die' unless there is a catastrophic event that brings down the entire internet and all of the hard drive's contents. The number of nodes that are present on the network ensures that there is sufficient redundancy. It also won't really matter that much if Bitcoin gets abandoned because there'll probably be a better version of the crypto available.

What do you mean? A war? Absolutely when things like that happens and weapon of mass destruction occurs then probably all of currency will become worthless because humanity will be badly affected.

Ethereum is already a good replacement for bitcoin so it is really not a worry if bitcoin will be left behind. Right now, we are investing on other coins so that we can have some other source of profits when bitcoin is not in a good move or not in a bull run. That's a good example that there are also cryptocurrency that is good to invest as an asset not only bitcoin.
447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Screenshot of Satoshi's last post on this forum on: December 13, 2020, 08:30:14 AM
There are a lot of possibilities, satoshi could've forgotten about that 1 million bitcoin and never bothered to find it, that seems ridiculous but that can still happen. We will never know because we do not know who is behind the curtains of the account satoshi. Best thing we could do is honor satoshi's wish to be anonymous and cherish the brainchild that is bitcoin.

Extraordinarily too ridiculous to forget an invention that's been getting a lot of attention lately don't you think? A lot likely for Satoshi to be either dead or simply refusing to touch the funds for whatever reason.

There are people who are really toxic when it comes to claiming that they already found Satoshi in the internet.

Hey, don't mind the real identity of bitcoin right now, it doesn't really matter anymore and we should focus on making it popular and achieve the mainstream so that bitcoin community will also grow. We are also not informed if Satoshi is a group of people or it is only a single person.

Nothing's certain, we are unsure about the information that we are seeing in the social media so we should not prioritize that but focus on our assets.
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Southeast Asia? on: December 13, 2020, 07:40:36 AM
Try to go on Singapore, it is a free country who regulates bitcoin willingly due to adoption.

In Southeast Asia, Singapore is more advanced compared to other countries when it comes to development and technology.

And cryptocurrency in their country are popular because of how educated they are when it comes to dealing in the internet and the market so it is not a surprise anymore so try to go to Singapore.
449  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic will bring more economic progress in long-term... on: December 12, 2020, 06:36:36 PM
Have you seen any changes in your working environment like these?

This pandemic enlightened us how important our lives, the economy, and our businesses.

It woke us to become wise, independent, and patient on how we can deal with this kind of struggles and problem in our lives.

Not all of us are rich or in a middle class who can afford anything to sustain our needs and our lives during quarantine because there are people who suffered the most.

This crisis can be the turning point for all of the governments to see how people deal with the reality that having a good economy is the key to lessen the poverty in the country. Also for those investors, this is the time where they should understand how important risk management and patience in a business can do.
450  Economy / Economics / Re: Cause of Covid Vaccine and it's Value on: December 12, 2020, 06:05:26 PM
What do you think the price, is that reasonable? Can people buy at that price?

I think only those from the middle to upper class can afford that vaccine. But those in the lower classes and among the poor in the poorest cannot afford it, unless the government buys and gives it to the people for free if they want the country to be covid free or even reduce the spread of the virus.

Mass vaccination is required especially that this pandemic is not our fault but the countries who made it.

The government should be responsible for the vaccination of the people and they should allocate a proper budget for that where the people can afford it in a reasonable price.

Not all of us are financially stable and many people who are struggling to live everyday probably can't afford to buy that vaccine.
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A friendly reminder on: December 12, 2020, 08:23:33 AM
bitcoin is indeed very good for long-term investment, but not everyone is strong enough to hold their assets until 2030. most of them can only last for about two months, I am a short-term player myself, I don't like to hold too long, when it is profitable I immediately sell, that is  the way I trade.

Bitcoin is truly a possible safe haven than other assets as the world is having development in technologies.

We can't really predict the future of bitcoin but right now, we are seeing some good and rapid adoption when this pandemic occurs.

But I consider bitcoin as a short-term investment because you need to manipulate it in the market. Unlike gold that you just need to leave it until its price goes up depending on how long you store it. Bitcoin can have a much higher price and give you profits depending on the bullish season and 2030 is really a long time to wait.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin proved it once again on: December 11, 2020, 12:43:56 PM
Sometimes we don't see pump in the value of altcoins when Bitcoin surges but whenever there is a adrop in the value of Bitcoin it definitely causes chaos to altcoin market.

In that type of scenario, you will really see that altcoins only depends on how important bitcoin in the market.

Once bitcoin is weak and don't have any positive movements in the market, other investors will now put their attention on altcoins where they can make profits.

Sometimes it is the season and proper timing that matters in cryptocurrency world, it is the observation and making predictions in the market that will help you earn more profits.
453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHO CAN SHUTDOWN BITCOIN? on: December 11, 2020, 11:15:02 AM
Governments have the same issue with Bitcoin as they have with torrenting and other peer to peer filesharing.  They can declare it illegal, but that doesn't stop people doing it.  It's incredibly difficult for authorities to physically prevent the use of software.

Bitcoin can only be fully shutdown if all of the governments around the world are prohibiting it to circulate in the market.

If there's only one country who have courage to stay with bitcoin and let its community use it and manipulate it in the market then probably it will not have a hard time to still prevail.

Right now, bitcoin is impossible to become shutdown by countries who already proven its benefits and advantages in their economy and market. Also if people are already into it and captivated about the good thing that cryptocurrencies brought to them then probably governments will also have a hard time to shutdown its community.
454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I quit smoking and buy Bitcoin every week on: December 11, 2020, 07:30:10 AM
We all know that smoking is bad, it is addictive and can ruin your health.

I know that you have a hard time to stopped smoking but that's a good decision and it will really benefit your life for so many years.

Investing on bitcoin rather than wasting your money into something that will kill you is really a good commitment to do. Bitcoin will make you someone you've never felt before, it will make you much successful, effective individual, and give you bright mindset towards achieving your goal.

It will not ruin your life but it will challenge you to grow your investment.
455  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to introduce Bitcoin and blockchain to people on: December 10, 2020, 12:04:47 PM
It's hard to introduce a different perspective of bitcoin to some other people new to it. Abruptly speaking some of them will not get the idea easily. They only knew is that its a form of investment that If you buy there is chance to gain some profits.

Introducing something about investment probably caught their attention however you must also explain the part how blockchain and bitcoin works or the fundamental use case of it and always use disclaimer since this is something risky too.

Ask first if what is his motive or reason why he wants to become familiarized with bitcoin and blockchain technology.

Because there are some people who are only attracted when they see money, investment, and huge profits in the market even if they are not willing to work hard.

Besides lack of knowledge, beginners do have lack of patience when it comes to that and they want an instant and immediate profit.

When you will teach them how these two works, tell them to practice self-discipline and patience first.
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who has held bitcoin for more than 5 years? on: December 09, 2020, 09:39:17 AM
Hey Guys,
Just curious to see who has held bitcoin on this forum for more than 5 years?
And also, if you've sold it, when did you got in and when did you sold out?

Cheers!
Why is this important to you?

I think many people who have been here for five years or more value their privacy and wouldn't divulge information like that for security purposes too.
Some lunatic could start hunting holders here even if users are supposed to be anonymous.

He is just asking an easy question and not asking for a person's information, so I think he is just curious about bitcoin's existence and advantages before up to now.

I owned bitcoin for almost 3 years and it is a good run for me as I make it grow and earn profits from it based on my manipulation. I practiced trading, I sold effectively, and having a good memories and experiences with bitcoin will help you to grow more as an investor.

Always cheer up and keep your heads up if you feel like you're losing a huge amount because bitcoin is volatile and it is what it is.
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and its History on: December 09, 2020, 09:08:20 AM
The history of bitcoin development is interesting, but I don't think we have gone far enough to draw any conclusions yet.

It is true that it is too early to think that bitcoin will prevail soon over fiat.

But as we see a huge development on its price then it is really possible than bitcoin will reach the mainstream and become the best asset in the market.

Bitcoin is still young but it already reached its ATH and helped a lot of people, thank you for Satoshi on making an asset that although volatile, it helped us to see that investment on cryptocurrency is worth it.
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Millennials Are Twice As Likely To Buy Bitcoin Than Gold on: December 09, 2020, 07:46:31 AM
What are your thoughts on the reasons behind this statistic, why are millennials more likely to invest in bitcoin than gold?, and could this be a bad thing overall for Bitcoin?

I think it is because Millennials are more familiar with how technology works.

With its application into business and investment, they are more knowledgeable about the advantages and benefits of bitcoin rather than gold.

Also millennials are more attracted to a short-term investment where you can manipulate it in the market because gold is not like that. We all know that millennials are much greedy because they want an easy money so they engaged to bitcoin but that mindset is wrong. Gold is more secured because it is for a long-term investment and you just need time to make it profitable.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World Map of Bitcoin Legality on: December 08, 2020, 01:06:48 PM
Then why do we keep saying bitcoin isn't accepted according to that map bitcoin is gradually globalizing the world ,it just in certain regions who haven't heard of it and the restricted area ,
Bitcoin is really making progress if they survey is accurate.

Having a world map of bitcoin's legality is really important so that we can visualize how massive the bitcoin community is.

By that, we can somehow push bitcoin more in the mainstream and with that, maybe we can see the map with all green soon.

Bitcoin community is growing right now, especially that this pandemic brought us to stay at home and engage more in a digital aspects in our life then probably we can really see some progress in bitcoin's popularity.
460  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies + Bounty = Zero future on: December 07, 2020, 02:24:48 PM

Am not sure it is because they do not know that a discussion thread exists, it is because this newbies are mostly here to earn rather than learn about bitcoin. Those who introduced them to the forum must have told them that they stand a chance of making alot of money participating in bounties and social media campaigns. This is wrong thinking and that is why you get to see their profile with bounty reports.

This type of mindset should really be stopped because this forum is not only for earning money.

Bitcointalk forum wants to build a community that supports and give importance to the blockchain technology and cryptocurrency world.

Newbies with that kind of mindset should understand that once you prioritize feeding your mind with knowledge then money comes next to it.
