441  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best mining software settings for the BFL single on: March 15, 2012, 04:50:36 PM
Sorry for the slightly off-topic post, but is BFL getting new orders delivered within 4-6 weeks?  I remember seeing a thread about who ordered when and if it had been shipped/delivered yet.  But the search feature on SMF is horribad and I can't find that thread anymore.  I really want to order some Singles, but not if I have to wait 2 months.

White Logitech Cube has been sold.  I still have one in black, plus the G510 keyboard.  Make me an offer!

I think you need some catchy Bitcoin related phrases like Gabriel Biel had/has on his site SquareWear.biz.

I feel bad for the pool when blocks get this long. Do you have to pay out of your own pocket Rex?

I'd hate to see it when we hit a 12M-share block like DeepBit did yday: http://blockexplorer.com/b/171081

The voltage only have 3 states: either 1.163V, 1.063V or 0.95V, other voltage settings seems make no difference in power usage measured. Under the same voltage, higher GPU clock always bring better Mhs/J, maybe 0.95v is even better, and that will prolong the life for the card too

Are you using the ATI GPU Clock Tool?  IIRC that one only gives you a few choices, via drop-down menu, for voltage settings.  If you switch to Trixx or MSI Afterburner, you can key in whatever voltage you want.

Are you in Houston by any chance?
452  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 5970 & its cooling system on: March 13, 2012, 04:22:19 PM
My only gripe about the 5970 cooling system is that GPU1 gets sloppy seconds from GPU0 when it comes to airflow.  They parallelized airflow with the 6990 which solved one problem but introduced another (blows hot air back into the box).  I wish there was a way to get the best of both worlds without going with water cooling...

Here's one in Sweden for 4000 SEK http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=614245 It says "1 in stock soon", to all you non-scandinavians

How much is that in real money? Tongue

See if your card can go down to 900mv @ around 820-830MHz.  You'll get around 375-380 MH/s and power draw should be even lower (well worth the 20-25 MH/s you're giving up).

Is this affecting miners?  I'm not at home atm Sad
