1301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the quickest way to put funds into MtGox acct? on: August 09, 2011, 06:18:16 AM
My dwolla to gox and vice versa transfers take 1 hour  Huh

Same here.  But it gets stuck in "pending" for who knows how long...
1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What's the quickest way to put funds into MtGox acct? on: August 09, 2011, 04:48:29 AM
FFS it takes like 3 days to transfer from bank acct to Dwolla.  Then another 3 or so days from Dwolla to MtGox.  So nearly a week before the funds actually show up a MtGox account.  Is there a quicker way?
1303  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did anyone's technical analysis correctly call the drop from $13 to $5.75? on: August 09, 2011, 04:41:25 AM
I did via non-technical analysis https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=34978.0

And we're back up to nearly 8 again

Here's more of my non-technical analysis: plateau at 4-5$ USD by the middle to end of next week.

We'll see.  I hope you're right since it'd be nice to pick some more up.
1304  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What to do with mining rigs if you stop mining? on: August 08, 2011, 09:15:43 PM
Heh, not sure if you're being sarcastic or not.  If you're not, I basically asking what other projects are out there that people could use all the computer equipment/gear they purchased for Bitcoin mining if they decide they no longer want to use it for Bitcoin mining.

I know one option is to just sell the equipment, but I'm sure there's other projects that might be able to use the computing power as well.

I thought I was pretty obvious Smiley  I think the next thing I'll lend my GPU power toward is the Battlefield 3 project.

What influx?
1306  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What to do with mining rigs if you stop mining? on: August 08, 2011, 07:24:59 PM
What does "stop mining" mean?  Huh
1307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin article (gizmodo) one more media source stating the death of bitcoin on: August 08, 2011, 06:46:23 PM
Dead? Rofl! Bitcoin != exchange rate
1308  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Ask miners? What do you want from your pool? How can we make MT.Red Better? on: August 08, 2011, 02:21:44 AM
I LOVE MtRed, but I just can't stand the variance that comes with the last few difficulties.  I think in order to attract more people to the pool, adopt some of Deepbit's features, such as:

  • the ability to adjust the timeout alert threshold for each worker
  • total BTC generated for the last 24hr window
  • SMALLER fonts.  Not to pick nits, but with MtRed it looks like I'm visiting a video game site when I'm at work.  With Deepbit it's all business and doesn't look too out of place in a work environment
  • more lines per page on the "Found Blocks" page
  • instant updates of worker shares instead of once every 5 minutes

That's all I can think of now Smiley
1309  Economy / Goods / Re: HumbleBundle 2+3!! Anyone need? I DONT RIP OFF THE DEVS LIKE OTHERS DO! on: August 05, 2011, 10:12:06 PM
Do we really need two threads on this?  Between this and tecshare bumping his own threads daily there leaves little room for page 1 ads.
1310  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't buy back just yet on: August 05, 2011, 07:33:09 PM
Looks like another tumble to the single digits is currently in the making.  Heads up.

Yeah, I got back in at 10.60, but all day yesterday it kinda hovered just below 11.  If it wasn't going to bust out of the 10's yday, it wasn't going to any time soon so I bailed at 10.80'ish.  Now it's being driven down by panic sellers and I'm about to place a buy at 8.8000.

Sweet, my b/f txt'd me and said it just arrived in the mail.  I can't wait to get home and check it out!  Thanks for the smooth transaction. A+++
1312  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What's did mybitcoin walk away with? on: August 04, 2011, 11:04:24 PM
Wait, so what's the verdict?  Was Mybitcoin's wallet.dat file simply lost by Amazon, or did the guy actually skip town with the loot?
1313  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy back in! on: August 04, 2011, 09:47:15 PM

1315  Economy / Speculation / Time to buy back in! on: August 04, 2011, 09:21:57 PM
We've been chillin within $.30 of the daily high all day now and it seems like the panic sellers (myself included) have finally calmed down.  Now everybody back into the pool!  All the cool kids are doing it!
1316  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wow this place changed in 2 weeks! Fill me in?? on: August 04, 2011, 08:53:57 PM
You may call it emotional irrationality but others see it as the inescapable fundamentals playing out.
What fundamentals might those be?
1317  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: [pics inside] custom built 8-card rack on: August 04, 2011, 08:15:32 PM
Looks nice.  But wouldn't the motherboard flex too much in the middle when you plugin/unplug pcie extenders, for example.  I might like to see more support for the motherboard middle (like plywood, that might ruin the look though), but if you're careful maybe wont be an issue.
x1 extenders don't really require that much force to plug in.
