441  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US trains Syrian rebels in Qatar on: May 31, 2014, 10:44:45 PM
What's even more disturbing is their links with these hyper-rich Arabian countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar - countries that not only have horrible human rights abuses but are likely involved in real terrorism (the kind that blow up buildings with thousands of people, not the kind your politicians talk about these days).

Saudi Arabia and Qatar have been funding various extremist organisations around the globe for many decades now. They are creating ethnic tension in every nook and corner of the world. Even countries such as Indonesia and Thailand, which were previously peaceful has become terrorism hotbeds thanks to their unlimited funding of terrorist organisations. The recent actions by the US government, to discourage the purchase of the Russian pipeline gas, and attempts to replace it with the Qatari LNG is going to make actions worse.

isn't the same for the US, UK ... ect that been doing this on a whole other level, there are just new comers in the geopolitical game and as an US ally, Taliban wasn't financed and formed thanks to CIA and the USA, ect ect, and even today they are just following the steps made by the US and other western countries in Syria, today, you can sense from media that our western countries are taking a step back but is it really the case? if you check the media from last year you can see that they were official statements even pushing to finance and train "the population that was fighting for freedom"

443  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Snowden should 'man-up' and face trial: says SOS John Kerry on: May 31, 2014, 09:57:20 PM
Kerry should 'man-up' and confess to treason with the rest of the sitting and past government officials.

In a sense it did make me wonder if enough people tried to kick them out of power if it would work in practice or if voter apathy helps to keep them not charged with any crimes.

It's not who votes that counts, it's who counts the votes. Wolves don't eat their own, usually.

the whole American voting system is a fraud in my opinion, two parties, people vote, for people that vote for them, what the hell is this supposed to be, the population should vote directly and no proxy should be allowed in the loop.... as long as this system is in place among others things won't change much
444  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cars Can be Hacked Now on: May 31, 2014, 09:51:13 PM
this not really a news, anyway familiar with cars know that you can control a lot through the CAN BUS connection and obviously, and there are wireless CAN BUS that you connect to your car, and then you can do everything from a distance, you still need hardware connected to your car to be able to do this, so it's not really hacking
445  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How long would it take for Anarchy to start working? on: May 31, 2014, 09:47:30 PM
to start anarchy, you need a major factor that makes people emotional, fear is what works best nowadays, and guiding people to revolutions and anarchies is the new favorite game of some, as for total anarchy that would require cutting fundamentals and fundamentals needs to a vast majority, but sadly order will come back sooner or later as it is related to the "animal" part of us we humans by nature socialize and by this same nature we tend to have hierarchy in our groups
446  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How Do I Tell My Daughter That People Across Europe Fear Minorities Like Us? on: May 31, 2014, 09:43:49 PM
You cannot convince me that there are no bigots in the Muslim world. You cannot convince me that there are no extremist murderer kidnapper psycho sickos in the Muslim world. America has not yet forgotten 9/11, and if you've paid any kind of attention to the news lately, you'll know what those whackos now want to do to the nearly 300 girls they kidnapped -- and the Nigerian military doesn't seem to have enough testosterone to do anything about it. That said, I understand that these people are a minority and Christianity also has people like the Westboro "Baptist" Church, which doesn't even represent most Baptists and made headlines often enough to make all Christians look bad. My main thing is, if you don't want people to think bad of your entire religion, don't pull crap like flying planes into buildings or picketing a dead soldier's funeral, and then whine to everybody who will listen because you've suddenly realized that you've developed a massive public image problem
no one is trying to convince you about it, it's the opposite, but what you fail to see and realize here, is that there are between one to two billion Muslim around the world, and by far the vast majority are peaceful people that do no deeds, there are psychopaths, there are murders, but that is not exceptional! you can find in every community, religion, population..... the same amount of people doing the same things, if you check the last five years for example, there were far more people killed in America unrelated to anything Islamic, but once a single thing is related to Muslims appears it is always blown out of proportion, to augment the fear factor, and to augment the military, intelligence spending.....ect and to serve obviously some agenda.

tl,dr : In our world there are psychopaths no matter what the race, religion, country.... it is, there is just too much focus on the foreigners in general to serve certain agendas.
447  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How Do I Tell My Daughter That People Across Europe Fear Minorities Like Us? on: May 31, 2014, 09:35:57 PM
she and her party won because she plays on people emotions with lies and transformations of facts, playing on fear, and dissatifaction Holldand and the PS is getting for not succeding to change the unemployment curve and the economic situation overall, she will use the fear factor, and she targets the muslim community and other minorities as they are an easy target and use a case are two to generalize and push her opinion

449  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Husband of Pakistani Stoning Victim: I Killed My First Wife to Marry Her (Video) on: May 30, 2014, 08:26:35 PM
damn some people are really deluded.. is divorce generally prohibited in their culture/religion?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divorce_in_Islam
So...
The husband has to say "I divorce you" three times.  It has to be done over a certain period of time (months) and they have to try some couseling to save the mariage.

Wow, what an unholy PITA, no wonder he just killed the first wife.

Totally wrong

The tree time divorce (not saying "I divorce you" this part was only true when marriage was not registered and marriage was done with witness, the same was for divorce and the "I divorce you" has to be said in front a certain amount of witness we are talking 7 century or so laws here) has nothing to do with divorce.
In Islam when you divorce it's done, but like in modern civil law, there is a period of time before the divorce is effective to leave a room for reconciliation (30days I think) once this period is over they are free to do what they want. As for the tree time divorce rule is about reconciliation, once you divorce and reconciliation 2 times the third time you divorce there is no reconciliation possible and the divorce is definitive and you can't remarry the person you've divorced, unless they married someone else.

This guy is a psychopath and need to be punished accordingly, sometimes in some culture divorcing is a kind of taboo and I think that's might be one reason why he resorted to such thing, but I'm just theory crafting here I don't know about Pakistani culture, but a part of it doesn't seem that good to say the least, I hope someone correct me if they have the correct knowledge about this point (since in Islam as explained above, Divorce can happen without major issues)
450  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Trolling] Malaysian Muslims declare jihad on Cadbury over pork-laced chocolate on: May 30, 2014, 08:16:54 PM
Technically all Muslims and Humans in general are part pig if you count part pig as atoms that were part of a pig during their lifetime.

Circle of life, bitch!

So by that definition you can eat shit and drink urine since they are part of humans, right? Don't take me wrong here I'm not insulting you or anything just want to show you the major flaw in your logic here
451  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Snowden should 'man-up' and face trial: says SOS John Kerry on: May 30, 2014, 08:13:23 PM
If Snowden were to get a fair public trial then sure he should man up but it will not be the case here for sure, also before asking Snowden to be judged for his crimes (because in my eyes he commited some by taking the informations and stuff) people that cause the death of hundred of thousands through the recent wars under false excuses should be held responsible for their crimes
452  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US trains Syrian rebels in Qatar on: May 30, 2014, 08:10:38 PM
This kind of news never ever will see the light of day on mainstream American media. So sad. The US has been doing this shit for DECADES! They're probably involved in Ukraine as well. What's even more disturbing is their links with these hyper-rich Arabian countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar - countries that not only have horrible human rights abuses but are likely involved in real terrorism (the kind that blow up buildings with thousands of people, not the kind your politicians talk about these days).

In fact you'll see the opposite on US media, as for Qatar and Saudi Arabia, being involved in terrorism no it's not the case, as for human rights, they are some bad points but overall they are okeyish in comparison to really oppressive countries, here the big deal is geopolitical, Syria and Iran has strong ties, (Shiaa) and and Saudi Arabia Qatar, UAE ... are (Sunnit) and they are more or less enemies

geopolitical interest of both the US and Russia are on the line, Syria is one of the only Russian allies and big customer in the region and the US want them out and want to put a puppet leader to control the country, and the big loser here sadly is the Syrian population .....

457  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "No Way To Prevent This," Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens on: May 29, 2014, 05:54:54 PM
that sadly is hard to achieve, and it's not about regulation, lobbying by car manufacturers in this case will not allow such a thing, but the good part is that in some area, like in metropolis using cars is hell and people tends to use public transports more and more to commute to work as it is basically impossible to get there during rush hours on cars, and some cities are taxing heavily city center circulation.

As for car accident, autonomous/self driving cars will solve a lot of these issues, I'm positive that in a decade to two road car accident will be reduced thanks to self driving and accident avoiding technologies (while the number of cars circulating keeps increasing)
458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "No Way To Prevent This," Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens on: May 29, 2014, 05:22:42 PM
I want your home isolated, inspected, videotaped. Chicago is retarded, nothing new there.
politicians only care about violence committed by white people or people they can claim are white (such as the new categories of WHITE hispanic and WHITE asian). Violence committed by full minority category Americans are swept under the rug and blamed on WHITE people anyway.

What are you talking about? the reason why the focus is kind of shifting is because Black people are considered suspects without doing a thing (I'm white but this is true) a Black person is controlled by the police way more often than his white compatriot and this happening here in europe as well, this is the reason of the shift in message, but the reality is still the same.

Anyway if you want to stop weapons you just do like in other countries make them illegale ! that will not prevent crime but it will reduce their amount and the danger factor attributed to them

Quote
"The reality is I never intended to end up in Russia," he said. "I had a flight booked to Cuba onwards to Latin America and I was stopped because the United States government decided to revoke my passport and trap me in Moscow airport.”

"So when people ask why are you in Russia, I say, 'Please ask the State Department,'” he added.

Nice catch, while it was obvious, it's another proof and the fact that it isn't denied makes it legit
460  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "No Way To Prevent This," Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens on: May 29, 2014, 04:40:08 PM
And this is the reason why I'm against having a free market for arms, having weapons on circulation create issues and make them easly available for criminals, and increase the violence level and risk of death to higher levels
