As the other thread got closed, I'll cross post this here:

The coin weighs around 12 grams, which makes it around two grams heavier than the Crypto chips. It feels better, in my opinion, because of it's heavier weight.
11.64 grams to be exact on my Satori's

Originally when I ordered my Denarium coins last year, I had received the box with the coins not secured inside.  They were still in the air-tites but the air-tites had taken damage/staining from the sticky substance that was supposed to keep the air-tite secured to the receipt.

This was an issue in the past that I would expect to have been resolved but if not I hope they can figure out a better way to secure the product.  Bubble wrap works wonders in small quantities and there was absolutely no padding in my shipped box last year - I EXPECT padding in it this time around or else the problem has not been resolved.   Smiley
A good option is to start with numismatic quality airtights such as these: http://www.amazon.com/Air-Tite-Direct-Holders-SILVER-EAGLE/dp/B002EJLZ4U
They can be found in appropriate sizes as needed and in bulk quantities.
Once a coin is securely closed/sealed it can still be placed in the current packaging style very effectively!

I recommend that you find an advisor/board member from the numismatic world, hopefully someone who is very familiar with high quality mints.

I've found that on mirrored finish silver products, using a polishing cloth adds small scratches.  I now take a complete hands off approach to making my silver coins.  Cotton gloves and touching the coin on the edge as little as possible.  Unless I fumble a coin, the face or rear of the coin is never touched by anything but a hologram.  If the buyers want to try and polish away any small marks, I leave it to them, but highly recommend against it as it usually does more harm than good unless you have the right chemicals and knowledge.  Just my 2 satoshis.  Polishing cloth on a mirrored finish coin = bad news.

Good points there. Our process of polishing has undoubtedly only improved the coins. The variance in quality in our silver auction coins is in fact only because we didn't polish the silver coins enough at the time of the production of the auction batch. But it is very true that the polishing must be done properly and with care to not introduce damage to the coins. We are giving everyone instructions on this if we're sending tools for further polishing.
Bummer... Coins should not be polished.  You need to find a different mint that can stamp out a high quality silver round for you...

I consulted our team and the polishing done at our end was done with a basic silver polishing cloth bought from a jewelry shop. We have decided that we can send any auction coin buyers that type of cloth free of charge for further polishing. Just send us a message to store@denarium.com and we'll send it. We can also send it as part of another order if you happen to be ordering in the near future.

Excellent and thank you Cheesy
After the minting process, coins should never be polished.  It destroys the numismatic value.  Cleaning and polishing was a practice long ago from the bygone years, in today's world such a coin (polished/cleaned) is considered damaged.

452  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🌟 [DENARIUM] | Next Generation Physical Bitcoins | (1BTC COIN SHIPPING SOON) 🌟 on: March 11, 2016, 07:10:46 PM
The issue was that when the error happened, we made a decision to do the +5. That affected production of the coins immediately. Coins that were in assembly & packaging at that point. Making another decision to change that later on would have caused significant extra delay for all pre-orders of 1 BTC coins, as it would have required massive database changes, packaging changes and so on.

That is the primary reason but not the only reason. There are other issues such as the cost of ordering any amount of holograms has a high fixed starting price and it would cost us more than the sell value of the coins in question to re-order the holograms. So the issue is in all possible ways extremely difficult.

But we will offer other compensation for this mess, for those affected. That is for sure.

Here's my 2 bits on this.

A6-A10 coins effect 3 orders only.  But now, every order including and after these 3 is effected due to +5 decision.  In my opinion, you made a quick decision on the spot but did not think it through because of some amount of panic and desire to get the coins out ASAP.  It's a bad mistake.  You should have instead isolated the issue to the 3 involved parties and worked out the issue directly with 3 effected purchasers instead of effecting all orders after A5 coin.  I bet all 3 would have agreed to wait some more?  but since you already made the decision and went forward, It's not necessary to continue arguing.  I simply think you should have handled it differently.

I will propose that the effected parties get early access to a future silver coin to get low serials, I'll send you an email regarding this one idea.
453  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🌟 [DENARIUM] | Next Generation Physical Bitcoins | (1BTC COIN SHIPPING SOON) 🌟 on: March 11, 2016, 01:07:37 AM
We've had ruined single holograms before but not like this. It was a major setback but we're moving forward and will make sure such accidents never happen again.

In any event the serials are as unique as they were before and relatively speaking just as low as before. I'm pretty sure the aftermarket will be aware of the fact that A6-A10 don't exist at all.
numbers under 10 are a psychological thing... Market may not be aware until they look.  And no one looks immediately but they do see what's in front of them and less than 10 is more exciting than over 10.  Also, this just increased the value of the first 5 numbers, a freebie sort of.
Isn't there a way to reorder these specific 6-10 holograms?
454  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🌟 [DENARIUM] | Next Generation Physical Bitcoins | (1BTC COIN SHIPPING SOON) 🌟 on: March 10, 2016, 10:31:02 PM
We've been uploading pictures to the website and apparently you guys have found them, good Smiley

Our team has been very busy with the production and just getting things done as fast as possible, so I haven't communicated much here.

I will post an official report on Friday which will include an important announcement about shipping.

Also I can already say that unfortunately we had an accident at the lab which ruined auction serials A6-A10 (the hologram is unique and if it is ruined, can't replace it). That is very unfortunate but what happened, happened. It means that serial A6 will now be A11 and so on. All auction serials will be +5 starting from A6. Serials A1-A5 are fine so no changes for them.

This means that A6-A10 will never exist and will be marked in our database as such.
Ouch!

So summa summarum I'd estimate shipping to start around 7th or 8th of March.
English is a hard language isn't it? Tongue

Anyway, I'm very glad to hear that as I can't wait to receive my coins.
Isn't that an expression, not in English?!  It's pretty clear he's not using English with that expression on purpose Smiley
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / f2pool not supporting roundtable was Re: 「魚池」BTC:270 Phash/s - LTC:500 Ghash/s - New Server in U.S. stratum-us.f2pool.com on: February 24, 2016, 02:59:34 PM
Announcement: We will withdraw support from February 21’s roundtable consensus, unless Adam Back gives us a reasonable explanation why he quietly changed his title from Blockstream President to Individual at the very last moment — without anybody noticed. We feel we’ve been cheated. I don’t know how we can trust Blockstream anymore in the future.
You are not negotiating from a position of power...
First you need to run classic. Then go the round table discussions.  Negotiate from a position of power.
459  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Community Miner Design Discussion on: February 19, 2016, 02:48:55 AM
I don't think the finances will make this feasible...  It's not possible to "compete" with a mass produced product once they hit the market.  so a small batch produced by a community isn't viable financially, plus someone still has to be the face of the project, legally, to enter into agreements with manufacturers etc...  Unfortunately the days of making your own miner as a project are over.  It's now more mainstream with several manufacturers.
460  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🌟 [DENARIUM] | Next Generation Physical Bitcoins | (JANUARY SALE 25% OFF) 🌟 on: January 26, 2016, 05:10:37 PM
Update regarding the production schedule of the 1 BTC coins. Unfortunately there has been further delay that puts the shipping ETA at approximately the middle of February. Reason is quite human, we are using a very small mint and one of their key employees got sick during a critical part which is his responsibility. That delayed the coins for one week+. This is a bit embarrassing but we are doing the best we can.

Everyone who ordered 1 BTC coins will get compensation for this, we will likely send one of our other coins as a bonus for anyone who has ordered 1 BTC coins before this date.
Thanks for the update!! I'm OK with waiting a bit as long as that results in high quality Smiley
