Dead serious here. A Canadian company has developed and sold, at $10 million a pop, a quantum computer. I think that their first customer was Lockheed Martin. Some univerties have already borrowed cycles to do calculations and solve mathematical problems that have been unsolvable with super computers. Anyway could this thing be configured to mine BTC? Should it not, with its ability to preform pretty much infinite calculations per second, be able to mine the rest of BTC in a few days; or at the very least put all other miners out of business? As a side note the CIA and Jeff Bezos fronted seed money to this company. http://www.dwavesys.com/
http://www.technologyreview.com/news/429429/the-cia-and-jeff-bezos-bet-on-quantum-computing/I can't recall the exact details, but some time ago, somewhere I read an explanation on why quantum computing wasn't useful for certain encryption algos... I though it was applicable to Bitcoin as well... trying to remember...

any updates on the 450ghs miner?
RockMiner would be the source of any news/updates...

hopefully we will hear how one of our fellow bitcoiners were solomining with 1 rockminer @ 33ghs and solved a block.....
while it is possible (probability is greater than zero), statistically it has terrible odds of happening.

Rockxie should take a look at the request Luke-jr has made about setting 2 values on the USB controller chip.... Buy I've not heard back. With those values set, both cgminer and bfgminer would be able to instantly recognize rockminer's device and treat it properly. That USB controller chip was used on USB sticks and can be a source of issues for both bfgminer and cgminer. No they are both USB 2. I use the Razorfish hub for everything from RedFurys to OneString miners. The Orico work with all the miners as well. It just came today as I wanted to make sure it is not the hub. I am stumped. I even connected right into the pi with one and it has stopped mining since I posted in this thread. So odd. Even though I compiled and put BFGMiner 4.2 on the MinePeon I have no idea how to do it with cgminer. LOL Or I would try the newest cgminer. Are either of those USB 3?
use the latest driver for cgminer 4.3.3: https://github.com/rockminerinc/cgminer-for-R-BOXMake sure your PSU is 12V 5A for each one. I've only been able to get bfgminer to recognize my RXBOX on my windows controller, and that's after adding it a couple times after launch with the m+ option. Cgminer 4.4.0 supports the rbox, but sometimes recognizes the units as an AMU bE100 device. I think the best bet for now is to stay with the customized 4.3.3 build until support for the devices is refined in each of the main branches.

friedcat should seriously consider manufacturing the X24 boxes to counter bitmain. he can have an order of X24s going within days at a factory... waiting for other manufacturers only gives more time to AM competition to make and sell their wares

How long until we can buy these?
Seems that info is in OP?

I notice in the pictures the R-Boxes are standing upright with the fan facing up.
For better airflow they should be on their sides. Air blowing horizontally.
For the original sales photo ops they look cool upright but should be sideways in operation.
interesting... has this been tested? any particular side "better"? .... I side turned them and in under 5 minutes they all dropped 2-3 c .... interesting... that project to mount them vertically on a beam seems like a way to go then...

Second the request for FC verification that DataTank is a current partner.
was answered: Interesting!! I'd love it if friedcat could confirm/deny any statement/sentence in the OP... Patience, young Padawan

Constant exposure != a frikin fire extinguisher that you may never use...
Btw, what's that ambient temp of the room where this liquid is? Remember your chemistry? Escape velocity for vapours etc... Etc...
