441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong perspective towards Bitcoin investment on: January 15, 2024, 07:35:02 PM
It was very clear to me that some ethusiast who promote Bitcoin don't talk about the risk part of it, while those who adopt Bitcoin on their own don't learn about the risk part of it.
The people who talk all the benefits and possibilities of bitcoins and does not talk about the risk is overhyping Bitcoin and making some people possibly think of it as a scam. It also creates investors in bitcoins who are not emotionally ready for the market when it gets bearish. When you tell a new ear about the risk, you are not just educating them, but preparing them to become strong hodlers that have a strong emotional resistance against bearish market situations.

Nigeria still in a 1-1 draw with EQG, upon all of the squad in the Nigerian team they have been finding it difficult to get a second goal after that Victor Osimhen got that equalizing goal for Nigeria, The Nigeria team is allowing Equatorial Guinea to build confidence around the eighteen yard box in this second half.  Only Oshimen has been outstanding in this game.
Osimhen missed a clear chance to score and double the goal he scored, but he fired wide. He will regret it a lot, because he will be heavily criticized for that error knowing his status as Africa's best.

Personally I am of the opinion that the coach be fired immediately (if possible) because the team has not shown any serious improvement from the qualifiers and pre-competition games.

We lack a good midfield and look to have lost our replacement to injury on his debut.

The coach needs to improve from this performance because it is not satisfactory.

Ivory Coast against Guinea Bissau
Is the pre tournament match between the host Ivory Coast who never lost an opener match since 1992, so surely they will have a bit of pressure undergoing tonight because of their fans and how they should perform. But other than than Guinea Bissau is a very humble team with much local players and lack of experience that would make their mission very hard to pass this group with top strong teams and today is their first hard test.
Ivory Coast started well with a good opening goal from Seko Fofana who will have his name in history for scoring the first goal in this opener. Guinea Bissau have Encada to blame, his first two errors out Guinea Bisua in a bad position from which they conceded from one. It will mean a lot if the host country can secure a win in this their opening game.

How will ETFs effect the economics of Bitcoin and existing Bitcoin markets?
There are many investors who knew about bitcoins, but did not want to invest through exchanges, this gives them an opportunity by investing in exchange-traded funds. Also, on the market, with the approval of these Spot bitcoin ETFs, it will expose bitcoins more to people who like investing in digital assets. They may not invest immediately but they will closely be observing the market before joining later.

447  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: New year, new system. on: January 09, 2024, 07:10:15 AM
... you need to reduce the way you spend last year to enable you to maximize profits this new year,
It becomes harder to reduce the way you spend with how the prices of things are increasing I think the better tend to say "spend wisely".

so that those that know you last year will see some changes in your life this new year.
It may not be what you mean, but it sounds like you live your life for others.

DO not live your life for others, live your life for yourself.

Add this lesson to the lessons for the new year.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What casino has the best bonuses? on: January 09, 2024, 06:39:03 AM
Which one offers the best bonus?
While this may be totally unrelated to the topic, I think it will be wise for someone in this thread to remind others the fact that the casino offers the best bonus does not make them the best casino to gamble on.

We still have to exercise care and caution because casinos that have an ulterior motive may use the good bonus system to attract unsuspecting gamblers to their casino for the purpose of cheating them later on. Sometimes, free things may cost you more.
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mental rehabilitation clinic. on: January 07, 2024, 09:17:05 PM
Imagine that there is such a rehabilitation clinic for people who are addicted to gambling.
Because of how addiction has risen a lot in other form of habits and gambling, Rehabilitation centers has been one investment that there has been a large call for its establishment in my country Nigeria.

Rehabiltation centers can be of really great help because many professional will be the staffs, and their experience in helping people will increase with the more patients that they have. Addictive gambling is a mental thing, so medications may not be needed expect in severe cases.

452  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why some newbies dey quick lose interest for the forum?? on: January 03, 2024, 06:37:42 PM
~
Many newbies who are introduced to this forum are introduced to the forum for wrong reasons. The people who introduced them to the forum did not tell them that the forum is also a place to learn. When they join this forum and discover that they cannot just start earning as they planned but need to still work hard, they get discouraged, loose interest and abandon the forum.

Another reason is that people start the forum, and then may get occupied with other activities that they do not have the time to spare. Since they have not been members of the forum before getting engaged in many activities, they find it difficult to find a way to fix the forum into their tight schedules.
453  Economy / Economics / Re: Habits that can lead to your financial failure in 2024 on: January 03, 2024, 05:53:22 PM
👉Fear of leaving your comfort zone
Comfort zone will make you feel like you are okay and do not need more. The comfort zone has killed more dreams than we can count.

👉Fear of failure
Most people who fear failure are people who still concern themselves with what other people will think about them. Due to that they never try to do anything extra because they are afraid of being mocked if they try and then fail.

When you fail, you do not start from zero, but rather at the point where you failed. So in failure, there are lessons learnt that someone who has never tried will never know.

454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 03, 2024, 05:42:57 PM
~
focusing on how much you will lose while gambling instead of concentrating on having fun will only reduced the fun that you intend to have while gambling. Any money allocated to gambling should be an amount that you already in your heart have deemed okay to loose in the quest for your fun and entertainment.

If you are still reluctant to loose an amount of money you gamble with, then maybe you should not be gambling with that money in the first place.
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 03, 2024, 03:20:19 PM
So I would like to know your own experience when making or taking risk in gambling under pressure.
Pressure or tension can bring or lead to different outcomes. Tension can make you not to overthink your options or chances  when gambling. Sometimes overthinking can be an enemy to luck based games. Some gamblers will tell you that they won from gambling on some days that they expected it less.

Pressure or tension can also cause errors and make a gambler make the wrong pick in gambling.
456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON Qualifiers 2023 on: January 03, 2024, 12:15:29 PM
@bering for me personally I feel that Egypt will win because of the Salah factor and currently he’s playing very well hence I feel that he can single handedly help Egypt win.
Mo' Salah has been really remarkable this season for Liverpool, but his success in Liverpool this season has not just been from his own effort, but the general effort of his club members. If Egyptian team and other players can provide same kind of support that is being provided to Salah in Liverpool, he will be able to provide same remarkable performance for his National side. On his own without support, Mo' Salah will not always be able to carry his team.

We(Nigeria) have the best strikers in the competition, and If enough chances are able to be created for them, we have a great chance to win the competition.
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The general public still doesn't understand Bitcoin is still growing on: January 02, 2024, 11:57:11 PM
At the bookstore today I saw some book about the rise and fall of crypto. On the front cover it was saying crypto went mainstream in 2021 and then collapsed in 2022 culminating in the FTX collapse. The book was definitely partially about the FTX collapse, but it also referred to the entire market as having collapsed, hence the "Fall" part of rise and fall. The final sentence on the front cover mentioned something about the collective delusion that led to this rise and fall of the $3 trillion market.
Shows that not all books and authors are worth reading.

How do we educate people that Bitcoin is a continuously growing global currency that is still in its early staged and each big boom and crash is just its early growing pains?
Simple correction of the misinformation that they have can go a long way. Some of the people who have been setback by this wrong information they possess about bitcoins are educated, and a proof of education is the ability to learn, unlearn and relearn. Providing the proper information to these folks, will assist in their unlearning and relearning process.
458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON Qualifiers 2023 on: January 02, 2024, 10:48:52 PM
What is left, is for the Nigeria coach to learn how the feature the Nigeria players correctly, and everything will fall into place
I hope he has had enough time to learn properly because the competition is now just a few days away. We are Lucky too that Victor Osimhen has not picked up any injuries close to this competition as we usually experience and should be in good spirit against Equitorial Guinea in our first game on the 14th of January.

I have high hopes for the super eagles, let us not just win the unofficial award for finest Jersey, but also the official award as champions of Africa.
459  Other / Meta / Re: Why do some campaign members posting essay? on: January 02, 2024, 10:25:52 PM

People express themselves differently, some like me like to do so in a few words, some others do so in so many words that they do not know when it turns into an epistle, and there are actually readers who take their time to read carefully through these epistles because they believe that that is what they should be seeing in a forum like this.

It doesn't matter if your writing in very many words or a few words, because the most important thing should be that someone can learn from what you have written in some way.
460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Single or accumulation, which one do you prefer when it comes to sport betting on: January 02, 2024, 10:11:03 PM
I just wish to see people view about single bet and accumulated bet. Which one do you till can be profitable when it comes to gambling. Although I normally do the two but in most cases I prefer accumulated bet to single bet.
People who are more likely to play accumulated bets are gamblers who who will use little money to try to win much. They loose a lot to the benefit of the betting platform, and only rarely win.

Single bets with a good amount of money increases a gamblers chance of winning the betting platform.

I personally prefer single bets, and accumulated on rare cases when the games are less than three.
