Even 0.01 ZEC payout is pretty big, you'll feel it once you mine for some time. Roll Eyes

We, little miners, need a pool with not more than 0.001 ZEC payout.

Is there any pool for zCash with low payout? CoinsForAll seems to have very big lower payout. I can't wait that long... and I'm pretty sure most would not like to wait that long too.

zCash price is like priceless right now.

can I use poloniex wallet for this miner?

Yes, you can.
4403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480) on: October 28, 2016, 03:36:59 PM
they started the blockchain? we can mine now?

When they will, you'll clearly see some extra activity in Mining (Altcoins) section for sure. Tongue

Still busy in configuring the miner best for mining (higher hash-rate with less electric consumption). I'll surely post my results in separate thread for RX 480 owners.
4404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: October 28, 2016, 12:44:34 AM
ETC is just getting started and will have major support with POW. Ethf with pos will soon have death rattles. POS is a ponzi scheme

Right, but don't forget zcash. Miners who are currently mining ETC are definitely preparing to try out zcash. ETC has pretty much potential, but I guess we are not going to see that in at least very near future. Roll Eyes

Oops, https://github.com/mbevand/silentarmy
Quote
45.7 Sol/s with one R9 Nano
39.6 Sol/s with one RX 480
And good news, this miner does not have my last optimization, I begin merge to produce a 50+ sols/s miner, wait a hours...
thanks to qwep1

Awesome! Going to try that on testnet with my RX 480's... Nice work! I'll post my results here as well with OC and with stock.
4406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU and GPU at the same time? on: October 26, 2016, 09:02:25 PM
When I try and mine with both a GPU and CPU they badly interfere with each other and I get much slower hash rates Sad  any idea what i'm doing wrong?

What hardware are you using? The CPU seems to be weaker one, in a case like that.
4407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.3 (Windows/Linux) on: October 25, 2016, 12:16:11 PM
Should we expect any sort of ZCash miner from you? Do you have any plans for it @Claymore?

Nice to see the minimum fan speed setting in the newer version of your GPU miner, was looking forward for it.
4408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 18.5 sol/s on RX480) on: October 25, 2016, 11:25:40 AM
is this still in testnet? why people are talking about profit? there is no profit yet before release

I'm wondering that same thing. Why so much rush when it's still in test? Roll Eyes I'm ready with my RX 480's to mine it, but not in that hurry.
4409  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: October 23, 2016, 04:17:38 PM
Invest in bitcoin, but the maximum which you can afford to lose. Bitcoin is the best choice to invest in right now, but in my opinion, it has the very low to none probability of getting zero value again.
4410  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Yobit scam? on: October 23, 2016, 04:06:56 PM
No, Yobit is not a scam, not at all. But it is managed by a very poor management. It's extremely hard to trade with them, try it out. I switched to Poloniex for trading like a month back and felt extremely easy with them.
4411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Most profit coins today on: October 23, 2016, 03:55:34 PM
Hoping for something "good" to come up for GPU miners, as the overall profit through Ethereum/Ethereum Classic mining is going down pretty fast. In just last 1 month, according to my calculation, the profit has been cut off by 15-20%. Roll Eyes
4412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why so Many Different ALT Coins on: October 23, 2016, 03:48:28 PM
Making of alt coins has honestly become a part of quality developer's life. There have been a heck number of alt coins in the last few months and it's constantly growing. Creating alt coins is definitely becoming a profession and not good for crypto-currency industry, because almost none of them are bringing any change.
4413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: October 23, 2016, 03:43:33 PM
Bitcoin is much better than real money... Why? Because:

-the real money doesn't grow itself, while bitcoin's value could grow wildly.
-own a paper wallet, two simple codes can hold as much money as you want.
-bitcoin is not owned by anyone, it means no taxes, no rules, no cries.

Gosh! I don't know how will India get those runs now as less than 15 overs are left and about 99 runs to get. They have wickets in hand but still I am scared watching that scorecard. Just hope they don't make any mistakes now and I trust Kohli and Dhoni but they need to chase too many runs.

India needs 44 runs in 40 balls at 6.6 runs per over... seems pretty easy. Kohli is still batting. India should be winning this one.
4415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 23, 2016, 11:38:54 AM
New Zealand after giving some hopes going to face same end what was being expected before the start of the match. They are not going to set some really fighting score on the score board of this I am sure now. Pakistan got 228 runs lead still there are some doubts about their performance in 3rd inning of the match. Bangladeshi players trying to save the match though its like mission impossible but at least they are struggling.

Pakistan doubts about 3rd innings? Nah, I don't think so. Even if they declare without batting right now on the current lead, West Indies would lose. They have been very pathetic in their whole tour. They've been like this since the retirement of their two key players.

Sometimes it's hard to believe that they are T20 champions, but man, anything can happen in T20's. The actual cricket is test match in which they've been ridiculous.
4416  Other / Off-topic / Re: When is Bitcoins going to die? on: October 23, 2016, 11:09:23 AM
Users of bitcoin number are growing day by day so bitcoin will never die, the price will get higer too and one day it will be used in business and then it will replace the fiat so accept this idea and try to earn bitcoin. :p you will need it in the future.
never say never , bitcoinn are indeed possible to dissapeared and dead ,
noone can guarantee about this , about how bitcoin will last forever or at least survive for long time ,
i don't know about technical things that could make bitcoin dead ,
but one thing that i know bitcoin run if there is internet , so once internet goes down so do bitcoin.
Yes its a virtual currency and we cant guarantee any real thing we see in our daily life so you cannot guarantee and say its never gonna die.
Yes but i say that seeing the success of bitcoin and its potential i really hope and believe in it to really last long if something unexpected did not happen.

You're wrong. It's a virtual currency, yes, but the main point is, it's not owned by anyone. It will only die if something like World War 3 occurs, which should possible destroy the whole Earth.

Bitcoin has become an asset of the Internet, we can't expect it to die.

Well done Younus Khan, very nice innings. He is recovering from Dengue fever fast. In the last few weeks, he was hospitalized. One of the best all-time players of Pakistan.
4418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HD7990 Lost 1 GPU on: October 21, 2016, 06:46:12 PM
GPU's can be taken out very easily, with a bit of force. Take out both of the GPU's, and try checking and making them work one by one. Just don't place both of the GPU's at once. Google around any tutorial/video if you're taking it out for the first time, it's easy.

Raja, I cannot seem to video a tutorial on getting the GPU out, do you remember where you saw this?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ysk8d_kRg0o

This is how to remove a card out of a motherboard.... Joke?
I was talking about removing a GPU (the chip) out of the HD7990 PCB (the card)!

And all this time I've been thinking that how stupid you are... Funny. I didn't have any experience with that particular card, and didn't know that it comes as twin, in fact, I've no experience with any sort of joint/twin GPU's.

Seems like there isn't much hope for your card left, honestly. Check out if there is any bios reset switch or something around the GPU, otherwise it's pretty much gone.

4420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 280x - need tips/help on: October 21, 2016, 02:02:40 PM
Right now those cards get around 16.5-17.5MH/s when mining ETH so its normal

If you card is overheating maybe its inside a computer case with bad ventilation, maybe a fan is dying, maybe the thermal paste needs to be respread.

You can also change your bios and undervolt your card and it'll use less power and less heat.

No don't overclock.

Thanks. So what should be my target temp when mining? and is it worth oiling fans and cleaning them from inside? I do hear a little bit of rattling of fans from inside of case but i havent checked source or cause yet. I guess its gpu cuz it only happens when i put fans above 75 percent.

For the R9 280X cards, they are less efficient than the newer 480 cards, so it is better to undervolt to increase efficieny. So the tempearture will drop.

Would not that cause performane and stability issues or any problems in general? Smiley

That would only happen if you under-volt too much. Lower it a bit and check, then do the same again with more lower value, do it till you see that something is crashing out in the driver or in the hash-rate.

If you're using Claymore miner, you can try it's own under-volting command.

Any good guide around the forums or anywhere explaining undervolting? or do I just use AMD overdrive and lower power percentage? Also, any risk of damaging the card? sorry for annoying questions Smiley

There is no risk at all involved in under-volting. Lowering power percentage does not under-volt. Search for the under volt command in the Claymore miner thread (if you're using Claymore miner) and just place the command next to the wallet address and pool address in the start file of miner.

I, for myself, don't use any software at all for all the over-clocking and stuff, I simply use the Claymore's own features.
