4461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 2* KNC Titan Miners 800mh/s Mass Mining Project on: August 24, 2014, 07:08:19 PM
KNC will start delivering in the next month or two. We expect that they will mine approximately 250 btc worth of coins in the first 3 months.
I assume this was a typo for 25 BTC? What difficulty increases are you calculating with?
4462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cgminer & Sgminer on: August 24, 2014, 06:40:17 PM
Hi, I'm using free version awesome miner 1.05 with sgminer-5.0-pre-release-2014-07-20-win32, only 1 GPU.
-Setting a Group pools with 6 pools NicehashX11, NicehashX13, NicehashX15, WesthashX11, Westhash X13, and WesthashX15.
-Each pool has its own advanced setting, but all has the same setting.
The problem is: only 5 pools were appear in sgminer, pool NicehashX13 is not appear, but all of them appear in awesome miner interface and NicehashX13 is Alive.
Then I remove them all, and add them again, the problem is still the same.
Some help please?
Can you please send me your Awesome Miner log file? It can be accessed from Options dialog, Advanced section. Sent it to info[at]awesomeminer.com
Thanks!
4463  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Control more than one rig? on: August 24, 2014, 06:37:08 PM
Teamviewer and Remote Desktop are probably the least efficient way of monitoring multiple mining rigs (or even a single rig for that matter), as you don't have any centralized management or overview of the mining.
4464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cgminer & Sgminer on: August 24, 2014, 06:11:32 AM
I'm running the remote agent and not the remote service on my GPU miners but there is no GPU statistics showing.
If you connect via Remote Desktop or similar to the remote miners, you should see the Cgminer/Sgminer text based window. Does that one show any GPU statistics like temperature and fan speed?
4465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cgminer & Sgminer on: August 24, 2014, 05:53:20 AM
Patrike,
I tried to do the upgrade. to v1.06.  I clicked yes, it seems to be downloading something, the program shuts down and then nothing.  Next time I start the awesome miner it is still v. 1.05.
Win 7-64 currently using v1.05.  Please advise.
In this case I would recommend you to uninstall Awesome Miner first. Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features, select Awesome Miner and then Uninstall. Your configuration will not be removed when doing the uninstallation, as they are saved in your user configuration folder.

Next step is to download and install the latest version (currently 1.0.6) from the web site:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/download.aspx

I know that a few users had issues with the automatic upgrades, and there are changes for this in version 1.0.6 to better prepare the upgrades for future versions.
4466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] CoinKing.io - A feature packed profit switching multipool for all! on: August 22, 2014, 07:31:14 PM
Would it be possible to include the current profitability information (BTC / MH / day) in the API response?
This is the kind of API-call I would like to use for this purpose:

4468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cgminer & Sgminer on: August 22, 2014, 06:10:16 PM
Really digging this software. I now no longer need to SSH or Teamviewer in to any of my rigs.
Question though: I cant see any of the GPU statistics in the Managed miners field (core clock, fan speed etc) If API-allow wasnt set correct then I wouldnt be able change pool etc.
http://imgur.com/1rnAPQY
Are you running the Remote Service (Windows service) or the Remote Agent (Windows system tray application) on your remote miners? If you are using the Window service, some GPU information will not be available because they cannot be accessed from services.

Plus how can I have privileged access the CGminer API on my ANtminers? I have done api_allow W:0/0 to test it and it still doesnt work. Im thinking the API is broken? Does anyone else have this issue?
I used to have Antminer S1, and then I had to modify the startup shell script for the miner to enable privileged API access. Have you tried these steps?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=499837.0

I would also think it would be nice to have profit switching for SHA256. Even just between NiceHash and BTC directly Smiley
Also coinking?
Good idea, but there are very few SHA-256 multi-pools out there. But sure, just NiceHash and BTC would also be useful.

The Coinking API doesn't provide any profitability information. I've tried to contact them about that without success. I will try again.

+1 for Nvidia Mining too
I've started to look into that, and if there are enough interest, I will support it in Awesome Miner. There are however no API at all provided by Cudaminer/ccminer, so the statistics you can get will basically be what the console output is giving you. But that's good enough for making a nVidia based profit switcher.
4469  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Control more than one rig? on: August 22, 2014, 06:01:33 PM
I have 2 GPU miners, one with AMD GPUs, one with Nvidia GPUs and one ASIC will arrive this week. Maybe I should give MultiMiner a shot, but it doesn't support Nvidia GPUs, right?
I don't think there are any good Windows GUI software for monitoring nVidia GPU mining at the moment. If there are many users requesting that feature, I can implement it in Awesome Miner.
4470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cgminer & Sgminer on: August 21, 2014, 05:26:57 PM
Yes, that is what I had in mind.  I'll look into Script API.  Thanks!
The Script API might be a bit difficult to use unless you are used to C# development.

You will find more information, and including the source code for the Awesome Profit Switching script here:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/script.aspx

At some point I was planning to do the development of this new script for stopping low profit miners, but it may not be the next few weeks because of many other feature requests.
4471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cgminer & Sgminer on: August 21, 2014, 04:41:35 PM
A feature I would like to see would be one that turns off the miners if a certain value per miner is not being reached.
If this is already possible please elaborate.
Is the idea to stop the miner if the profitability is lower than a specified number of BTC/1MH/day? And start the mining again if the profitability get higher? That feature is currently not available, but is fully possible to develop using the existing Script API for Awesome Miner. It will however only work for Managed Miners, not for external ASIC's for example.

I had similar requests before, and this is good input to future development.
4472  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Control more than one rig? on: August 21, 2014, 04:45:47 AM
Thank you for explaining! Does Awesome Miner support miners without static IP addresses?
Is it possible to install some kind of software on the mining device with dynamic IP? Or is it an ASIC you don't really have that kind of access to? There are online DNS services like dyndns (and probably others as well, I was a long time since I used these kind of services) where you can install local software that automatically updates your DNS name to point to your dynamic IP. In this case it would be possible to point Awesome Miner to the DNS name instead of the IP.

But in general, just like Axiste point out, Awesome Miner will require you to manually change the IP address.
4473  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Control more than one rig? on: August 20, 2014, 02:45:49 PM
You can also check out Awesome Miner, that can manage and monitor multiple miners.

But only for Windows miners and Windows managers/clients, right?
You need Windows to run Awesome Miner, but you can monitor any computer or device running Cgminer or Sgminer, using the "External Miner" feature.

It works fine to monitor standalone ASIC's like Antminer S1 and KnC Neptune, or computers running Linux. When connected to any of these, you can manage pools (switch, add, enable, disable, prioritize and so on), manage devices, and of course see statistics and other information.

To fully manage a remote computer using the "Managed Miner" feature, with support for starting mining process and reboot computer, you need to run the Remote Service that is only available on Windows.

To summarize, you don't need Windows to be running on your miners, but if you do, you can get additional features not provided by Cgminer itself. In the screenshot you see above, there are four miners running and Awesome Miner shows statistics and provides operations for all of them:
- Two miners running Windows (Managed Miner)
- Two different ASIC's running Linux (External Miner)
4474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cgminer & Sgminer on: August 20, 2014, 06:37:02 AM
I will investigate if future versions of the Awesome Miner Remote Service can be used to forward the connections to other miners, like your Antminers, on the same remote network
4475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What hardware is behind "HASHLET"? on: August 19, 2014, 08:15:26 AM
The question is for how long it will be more profitable. With every Hashlet being added, the Litecoin (and other...) difficulty increases and because of the automatic exchange to BTC, it also creates more and more selling pressure on Litecoin making the price go down.
Hopefully for at least months to come. But with so many scrypt coins still being launched there should always be a profitable one.
While it's true that there are more Scrypt coins than Litecoin, I would guess that about 80% of the Scrypt hash rate goes to Litecoin. Most new coins have a very low market cap, so there is only a limited amount of hashes that can be spent on them with profit.
4476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What hardware is behind "HASHLET"? on: August 19, 2014, 07:43:58 AM
Right now this is the most profitable for BTC because it mines scrypt, then auto exchanges to BTC.
The question is for how long it will be more profitable. With every Hashlet being added, the Litecoin (and other...) difficulty increases and because of the automatic exchange to BTC, it also creates more and more selling pressure on Litecoin making the price go down.
4477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sgminer v5 - new unified multi-algorithm on-the-fly kernel switching miner on: August 19, 2014, 07:30:45 AM
i have heard that scrypt/scryptn works best on 13.x drivers
I can confirm that. Running 13.12 give best Scrypt hash rates, while 14.7 gives much better hash rates for the X-algorithms. Because most people don't mine Scrypt using GPU anymore, this isn't much of a problem.

The only drawback of upgrading to 14.7 is that GPU memory speed cannot be changed anymore.
4478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Awesome Profit Switching software: TradeMyBit, West/NiceHash, LTCRabbit, more... on: August 19, 2014, 05:43:57 AM
or if you can pull the information from the API key from MRR, even better
If MRR is enabled in the Options dialog, Online Services section, that is what Awesome Miner is trying to do, at least when the rig is rented.
4479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cgminer & Sgminer on: August 18, 2014, 08:52:44 PM
-A dialog box pops up saying I have successfully connected to the Remote Service Agent on GPU RIG #1
-Then nothing
It's good that you can add the Managed Host successfully. When you use the "Test connection" button for the Managed Host, you have verified that you can connect to the remote computer running the Remote Service Agent.

Next step is to add a Managed Miner for the Managed Host. Go to the "Managed Miners" section in the Options dialog and add a new. Select the Host that you just added.

More details about how to create a Managed Miner can be found here.

-I cant see the Antminers or the host on the dashboard of the screen

Im sure I am missing something silly because I am able to connect to the rig but nothing shows up. Apologies for the long winded post but I really want to make this work
The Antminers already have their own Cgminer software running, so for those the concepts like Managed Hosts and Managed Miners cannot be used. Instead, the Antminers should be added as "External Miner". When adding an Antminer as an "External Miner", it's the IP address of the Antminer you should enter.

You can read about how to add an External Miner here.
4480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin going to survive the fall? on: August 18, 2014, 01:59:42 PM
The exchange rates for (almost) all altcoins have dropped a lot the last month. Has Litecoin really dropped that much more than the market in general?
