Var ni också med om att Webhallen kopierade ert leg när ni handlade?
Japp. Man kanske skulle fråga varför nästa gång? Eller försöka neka?  Wink
4502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we have too many alt coins? on: August 14, 2014, 03:41:12 PM
The problem with the hugh amount of altcoins is that it makes it difficult to find those that are really interesting and innovative. The majority of them doesn't bring too much new to the table.

It's actually not that hard, if you know what to look for in order to ignore the scammy coins; a pre-mine/IPO, wallets available on only one platform, not open-source code, etc.
Even if you don't count the obvious scams with premine and similar, there are still many coins that doesn't add much value, and just being a copy of another coin

Hi.

i upgrade to the new version, and redownloaded the new Awsome Mining Profile.
Only Imported the Yaamp Pool into my existing setup and added the pools to the group.
and check off the box for Yaamp in the Online Service.
all works and swithing works but it's not showing Profit earning per day for the Yaamp Pools
any ideas why .?
You are correct, this is a display bug in the list of miners.

The Yaamp profitability is correctly displayed in the Online Services tab, and the profit switcher uses the correct profitability when setting the priorities between the pools. So from a profitability switching point of view, it works fine. But as you point out, you can't see the correct earnings per day in the list of miners.

I will correct this in next release. Thanks!

Support for Yaamp has beed added to Awesome Miner. When mining for any of the Yaamp pools, the current profitability per day will be displayed.

The Yaamp pools are also supported by the Awesome Profit Switching feature, that automatically switches to the most profitable pool.

4507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Awesome Profit Switching software: TradeMyBit, West/NiceHash, LTCRabbit, more... on: August 12, 2014, 06:21:06 PM
The profit switching has been updated to also include YAAMP, an auto-switch mining pool with auto-exchange to Bitcoins.
4508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cgminer & Sgminer on: August 09, 2014, 07:44:32 PM
installed Awesome Miner last night, works great, waiting on CoinJar to clear my deposit so I can get enough coins for a Pro license. Currently using it with an Antminer S1, a remote BFGminer with an Antminer U1, and have a RasPi running Hashra to add once I get the license. Love your work
Great! I'm currently working on adding better support for BfgMiner. Just let me know if you run into any issues. Thanks!
4509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: August 09, 2014, 07:13:48 PM
Hi,
I'm currently developing the Windows GUI application Awesome Miner, that manages and monitor mining and includes many powerful features like multiple multi-pool profit switching, scripting and notifications.

I'm getting requests to support the nVidia miners as well, like ccMiner. As far as I can see, there is no API provided by ccMiner, which makes it much more complex to get decent statistics from the miner. Are there any other good practices how to extract mining information from ccMiner? Parsing command line output? Write output to log file? From what I could see in the Readme file, there is no way to write the output to a log file, without fully redirecting all output leaving the screen blank.

If there is a good source where I can find this kind of information, please let me know. Many thanks!
4510  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 4.6.0: GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, Canaan Creative Avalon 2 & 3 on: August 08, 2014, 06:53:24 PM
What I can see is that instead of reporting GPU as a device type, it is reporting as PGA, with name "OCL". I can also see that several GPU commands (like gpudisable) are deprecated, but they are still working. ASIC commands like ascdisable doesn't exist. Is it that all devices (GPU, PGA, ASIC) are reported as PGA and that the PGA commands (pgadisable, ...) can be used on all of them?
Yes, "PGA" is at this point just a generic term for "device" for cgminer compatibility.
BFGMiner also support per-processor level details which you can get with the "proc*" commands instead of "pga*".

Is GPU mining something that will be removed from future releases of BfgMiner, as commands like gpuengine are deprected without any replacements?
No plans to remove GPU support, but gpuengine and similar were replaced with pgaset a while ago.
Many thanks for your fast reply - I think I have all information needed to continue with the implementation.

I'm currently working on adding support for BfgMiner in the Windows GUI application Awesome Miner (currently only Cgminer/Sgminer supported). I've been getting this request from several users, so I think BfgMiner is quite popular out there.

I've been reading the Readme.RPC file to try to figure out what the API differences are between CfgMiner and Cgminer, but I'm not sure if I have a full understanding yet.

What I can see is that instead of reporting GPU as a device type, it is reporting as PGA, with name "OCL". I can also see that several GPU commands (like gpudisable) are deprecated, but they are still working. ASIC commands like ascdisable doesn't exist. Is GPU mining something that will be removed from future releases of BfgMiner, as commands like gpuengine are deprected without any replacements?

Unfortunately I don't have access to any ASIC running BfgMiner at the moment, so I can only do tests with GPU mining right now.

If there are additional documentation you recommend me to read, just let me know. Thanks!
4512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cgminer & Sgminer on: August 08, 2014, 04:13:23 PM
Ok, I enable the TMB single-coin pool, but do u have to insert the coin/port for example Veilcoin into your pools?
Yes, what you need to do is
1) In Options->Pools, add a new pool that we can call "TradeMyBit Veilcoin" or similar. Put in correct URL and worker name.
2) Go to the tab "Pool Groups" and edit "Awesome Profit Group" (or the group that is used by your miner).
3) Put a check mark for the pool "TradeMyBit Veilcoin".
4) Next time you start your miner, it should automatically add this pool.
5) If the miner is already running, simply use the "Add pool(s)" menu to add it, so you don't need to restart the miner.

One little odd thing , is that I use for nist5 (I=18) and the other algo using xIntensity, somehow when I switch to nist 5 , it never change to intensity, only using xIntensity.
I see that your profile name is "Nist5 ", ending with a space. Could you try to remove the space to see if it makes any difference?
4513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cgminer & Sgminer on: August 07, 2014, 07:50:11 AM
Awesome Miner v1.0.4 has been released.

I used my batfile and that doesn't work, when using the sgminer.exe it is working.

Where can I insert these parameters? normaly it is in my bat-file
Code:
timeout /t 30
COLOR 0A
In the commandline it doesn't work
I just wanted to follow up on a few of the suggestions you had so far.

In Awesome Miner 1.0.4 you can execute these additional commands before the mining software is started. Open the properties for you Managed Miner, go to the "Command Line" section. Check "Execute additional command before starting the mining software" and enter the commands to be executed, for example:
Code:
COLOR 0A

For  Awesome Profit Switching, is it better to use the multi-multi switch port or the normal port?
The latest version supports both the TradeMyBit auto-closing multi port and the standard multi port.

In addition to that, you have a new setting in Options dialog, Online Services section, where you can enable "TradeMyBit signle-coin pool". When enabled, the Awesome Profit Switching feature can do profit switching between all TradeMyBit pools, for example Veilcoin pool on port 3498.

Please let me know if you have any other comments or suggestions for Awesome Miner. Thanks!
4514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cgminer & Sgminer on: August 06, 2014, 05:38:19 AM
Looks like it is pulling the info- and is not pushing it to the GUI. I probably messed something up, but hey it tells me if they are on or off Smiley

Also.. possible to change up the settings on the webserver? Such as the address etc.
I made a change in version 1.0.2 to handle the fact that Antminers report "Last Share Time" in a strange way. I was hoping that this would solve the problem, but there might be another issue as well.

Could you send me your log file (AwesomeMiner.log) by e-mail? In the new version there is also a "Generate API report" feature that you can find if you first select the miner and click "View details...". Thanks!

The built-in web server can be configured in Options dialog, Web section. The port can be configured, but the address itself will always be your computer's IP and/or hostname. Even if the user interface only show you the Server address like "http://MyComputerName:17790", you can access it from any DNS name that points to your IP address, or directly using the IP address.

To make sure: there are no hidden donations or something like that?
There are no hidden donations or any other strange stuff.

The majority of all features in Awesome Miner are included in the Free Edition, including the Awesome Profit Switching feature. It's just to download and give it a try!

All comments and suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
4517  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - innovative professional cryptocurrency cloud mining service on: August 05, 2014, 09:51:16 AM
You can now use the feature Awesome Profit Switching in Awesome Miner to automatically switch between mining on NiceHash or WestHash based on highest profit. All profitability calculations and pool switching are performed automatically by the software.

This will make it much easier for those selling hash power to mine with high profit. Give it a try!

Hi,
Looks like a nice mining pool. Any plans to make an API with profitability information?

Next video in our video series has been created. It is a tutorial on how to set up CGWatcher with SGMiner. Hope you enjoy!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=el181PAkyE4
Have you considered making a video for Awesome Miner as well? It's much easier to get started with as you don't have to manually work with any configuration files, and you can even prepare pool configuration files that users can download and use with just a click.
4519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Awesome Profit Switching software for TradeMyBit, Nice/WestHash, LTCRabbit on: August 05, 2014, 04:25:03 AM
So you say we can switch even between pools and go from TradeMyBit to NiceHash if profitability is better there?
Yes, that is correct.

Example:
When you start mining, NiceHash Nist5 is the most profitable pool. Awesome Profit Switcher will prioritize that pool for all your miners (can be configured to be only some of them if you want). Later, if TradeMyBit X11 becomes more profitable, the TradeMyBit X11 pool will be prioritized for all your miners, and they will automatically switch to mine this pool instead.

This is also useful now when NiceHash has split their service into two parts, NiceHash and WestHash. Awesome Profit Switcher will select the most profitable of them all the time.

In addition to above, you can also add your own single-coin pools and define which coin it represents. Awesome Profit Switcher will then keep track of the profitability of that pool as well, and automatically switch to it if it becomes more profitable than any of the supported multi-pools.
