461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hunter's Earners on: January 31, 2019, 09:10:23 AM
Do you think you can earn 1 bitcoin at this year for promoting and joining bounty campaigns? Please Share you experience at this past days. Wink
Only signature campaign got the restriction of only one bounty program at a time whereas you can join any number of twitter campaign and telegram/youtube promotions and translation kind of stuff may get you big earning in very short time. This way I believe you may earn more than one bitcoin for sure if you do your due diligence by taking enough time. Do not rush for participating campaigns. Choose them carefully and then participate.

if bitcoin goes up to $ 5,000, the value of the tokens will easily increase. so we should continue to work and luck will soon come to us.
Yes, everything is bounded with bitcoin price levels and only when bitcoin will be having up-trend, we can be sure about having better bounty environment here. I am also optimistic about bitcoin will be reaching at least $6500 before mid of this year. I believe that will be enough and fair value of bitcoin to boost this industry.
462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Blockchain and Crypto on: January 30, 2019, 06:54:21 PM
Just finished listening to a podcast episode about the future of blockchain and crypto.. very interesting and thought I'd share.

http://cryptoandblockchaintalk.com/what-does-the-future-hold-for-blockchain-and-crypto-in-2019-interview-with-jonathan-dunsmoor-44

Feel free to discuss, what are your thoughts? Times are interesting after 2018 I'd say.
I have been talking about the long term benefits of bitcoin and blockchain for years but people keep focusing on the profit part of it.

Bitcoin wasn't created so people could put in fiat money and buy bitcoin and than sell bitcoin and take out more fiat currency. That was the last thing on satoshis mind (probably) when he created bitcoin.

There was a meme about bitcoin involving morpheus and neo and neo says "you mean I can sell my bitcoins for a million dollars one day" and morpheus says "I am saying you won't need to" which really captures the essence of our day, people focus on the neo part of it and think they would sell bitcoin for a million dollars one day but in reality the focus should be on the fact that they will not have to if everyone uses bitcoin more commonly.
463  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Without Using Indicators on: January 30, 2019, 06:22:48 PM
you dont have to know every pattern. You need to get used to trading certain setups. Even if you only know how to trade one setup, you can be a profitable trading. Know the setup and how to trade it,so you know when to execute the trade. And use proper risk management. Dont over trade.
There are thousands of indicators and strategies available but learning few and making use of them effectively is more important rather than what OP is suggesting. I mean to say indicators are here just for helping us to have easy and time-efficient trading and ignoring them is not a good way of trading in my opinion.

Trading through naked chart is some kind of art and it will not be possible for all the experienced traders. For this type of trading, you need to listen your inner thoughts so that you can derive trading signals. This must be another professional way of trading and it will not be feasible for everyone. I believe instead of looking for learning some unique way of trading, we must focus on general and easy way of strategies for making profits in trading.
464  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hodler, you motherfucker. on: January 30, 2019, 04:28:14 PM
It's better to lose virtual $$ value than actual coins.
This is the prime motto of long-term holders. OP is simply listing out prices from $13k but who knows that at those times bitcoin will be falling down further rather than expecting a reversal toward a new ATH around $25k. I mean to say trading is really a hard one and there will be no surety to make more bitcoins (or those virtual money). But holding assures me that I will be having plenty of chances to have $40k or $100k in coming months.

In my opinion trading bitcoin is just a gambling because you may lose some price movements to cover if you plan for buying-back kind of strategy for your trading whereas holding assures peace of mind. This is the big benefit of long term holding. We can make big profits along with peace of mind if we opt for long term holding.
465  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner trader: super basic beginner questions? on: January 30, 2019, 02:29:12 PM
For something as small as couple hundred dollars you will not get too much action on the big coins. You will probably get some of the top coins and just watch your portfolio move couple bucks everyday which is really not fun and you will move onto something bigger. Let me talk about that part of the journey, for someone who has small amount and want big action there are really just two options, one is the bitmex margin trading and the other is the small altcoins.

If you go with bitmex you will need to start a demo account first and test yourself there, it would be wiser and you will learn some and than move into real thing and that will be really hectic, maybe you will make thousands maybe you will lose it all in 10 minutes. The small altcoins are the ones with little price but high volume, they usually give a lot of action as well.
466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: day trading is like having sex on: January 30, 2019, 01:47:09 PM
What kind of sex is "get in and get out as fast as possible" are you drilling for something ? What is investing than ? Having a child ? I do like a good analogy and enjoy comparing two stuff to each other but sex and trading has nothing in common at all. Not even remotely similar.

I understand whenever people see the word "SEX" somewhere it gets attention which is why this horrible example got to page 3 (which I am ironically contributing while complaining) but in all honesty there is no other reason to actually think they are even remotely close, just got attention thanks to the "sex" in the title.

Trading if needs to be compared with anything is like grinding in fifa. Sometimes you play and lose which sets you back, sometimes you play and win which gets you ranked.
467  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do we need blockchain technology? on: January 30, 2019, 06:53:47 AM
Sometimes, I think there is a black swan (Blockchain is useless in real life) lurking around.
No, if not for the blockchain you wouldn’t be here talking about cryptocurrency. If blockchain should be removed, then there will be no way for you to make use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Ripple and the rest of them. So, blockchain is still important. I’ve also been seeing some companies working projects that are similar to that of blockchain, but none of them has done something unique with it, they still focus on the same transaction which is what the current Blockchain is already offering to us.

due to few wrong examples, we cannot ignore a versatile new invention.
That is the point. All the system and innovations are always coming with pros and cons both. If we are able to make our day to day life better out of those innovation then we must adopt them immediately. This way, we must need blockchain technology. I guess regardless of one or two people/government against to it, I guess no one could stop its evaluation in coming years.
468  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The future of cryptocurrency exchanges on: January 30, 2019, 05:52:32 AM
Having more options is always a good thing to have and when big platforms are entering into crypto space is always good for the sake of promoting cryptos to rest of people. Yes, the purpose and applications of having these new exchanges is least in my view. But, having market giants in crypto space is always a good thing.

At the same time, new exchanges keep popping out from nowhere, and it doesn’t make any sense. The competition is getting too much and only the big old exchanges are taking the lead, new exchanges can’t even compete and majority of them ends up along the way. I think these new exchanges will just continue to die off, cause no one is showing interest in them, not when there are exchanges like Binance and everyone is scrambling for an opportunity to sign up for it. The bigger exchanges will continue to take the lead. All these new ones are going no where.
469  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Suggestions to grow my Bitcoin on: January 30, 2019, 03:08:06 AM
I have roughly 0.15 BTC. What do you guys recommend for me to invest in? So far I've considered these options:

  • Freebitcoin's 5% per annum - Roughly 1.7K sats daily
  • Casino bankrolls - Very slow, often seeing negative profit everyday
  • Lending - Haven't tried this so far
Lending is good, but I won’t really recommend as you have not tried that. I think you should go for something else which is not at all in your list.

Instead of looking for making your bitcoins to grow, why not buy some bitcoins from your other resources, now that the price is down and then store them in a wallet till the bull run comes and the value will increase. Long term trade is the best and easiest way for you to make money through cryptocurrency, since there have been a lot of predictions that the price of Bitcoin will go up. So just go for that. Or maybe you can try other stuffs, cause there are plenty stuffs for you try and don’t look for quick money or else you might lose.

Please do not forget, bitcoin itself a safer and ever growing investment. When we do not have enough options for growing bitcoins, I believe we must focus on getting bitcoins from other resources so that we may have decent amount of bitcoins well before another bull run.
470  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2019 the new 2015? on: January 29, 2019, 06:00:24 PM
Year 2015 started with Bitcoin price at $317. Price then sank and reach bottom two weeks latter at $171.  Then hang between $200 and $300 until November when bull market started. And reach $430 at the end of the year. That gave us 35% price increase in 2015.

Year 2019 started with Bitcoin price at $3740. Two weeks before that price reached current bottom at $3190.  Price of Bitcoin should hang between $3500 and $5500 until October when bull market will start. And reach $8000 at end of the year.
I want you to continue your speculation into the year of 2020 by taking scenarios from the year of bitcoin 2017. Surprisingly the year 2018 was just a replica of what we had in 2014 then why not 2019 will be having similar price fluctuation of 2015.

In contradictory, we need to take consideration about the familiarity of bitcoin among institutional investors and possibilities of ETF and etc. I mean to say the differences on external factors among 2015 and 2019 will be playing a big role in deciding where bitcoin market will be trading. Bitcoin had fallen in similar manner how it did in previous time after a new ATH but it does not need to follow same trend while rising up.

All markets are known for shocking and surprising us. I was confident that bitcoin will not fall in 2017 similar to 2014 (by considering number of bitcoin adopters and other similar factors) but it did. Now, we are expecting a sideways market in 2019 but my inner thoughts say, "expect more surprises than 2017".
471  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 v/s 2019 on: January 29, 2019, 03:53:33 PM
I think the biggest difference is the missing of bear market. I know we are expecting a bull run and many people think that we closed the 2018 with 3200 or whatever close to that and now we are at 3500 and that's why it is similar but many are missing out the fact that we had seen 20 thousand dollars on late 2017 so the 2018 was mostly a bear market that kept on going down. So 2019 even tough price is about the same the price is not falling as much as it used to.

I am fine with price being stable instead of going down. When it goes down it creates this upsetting pessimistic wave and makes everyone forget that we are still ahead of everything else except late 2017 but when we are stable there is always hope of going up one day. That is why 2019 started much better if you ask me.
472  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin be like a bubble, how do we react to it on: January 29, 2019, 02:34:24 PM

As predicted from various circles, the price of bitcoin is very high which is worried that it will be like a bubble, one day it will break apart,,
"very high" ? Are you kidding me? The price is 3.5 thousand dollars right now. That is not remotely high. There is a reason why all the "bubbles" collapse, not enough money keep coming in and making it unsustainable. For example the oldest we know is the tulipmania where tulips were expensive, why did it collapsed? Because there wasn't many people left who were willing to keep buying tulips from those prices. Why it got high? Because people were capable of buying it until they run out of money.

Closest one is the house bubble (well mortgage) which was after dotcom, well there was too many toxic debt that people couldn't afford to pay back and defaulted on their loans, which created a collapse of the bubble. Same happened to bitcoin, went up to 20 thousand dollars and there wasn't enough people who were willing to pay that much for one bitcoin. However we are already at 3500, there are plenty of people willing to buy from here, RIGHT NOW its not a bubble, it used to be considered that way on 20 thousand dollars but definitely not even remotely a bubble in today's prices.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this year be favourable to you? on: January 29, 2019, 07:27:41 AM
It seems everything about cryptocurrencies is stagnated because of the continuously downfalls in pricing and I do believe that the only sector that is benefiting from the advent of cryptocurrencies is gambling industries .
I really could not get your point.

What is the relation between cryptocurrencies' downfall prices and gambling industries ? You mean due to low value of bitcoin people will gamble more ? I guess they might be gambling all the times for a fixed daily limited bankroll like 0.01 BTC or 0.025 BTC (in the case of a responsible gambler), and they might not be bothering where bitcoin is trading and how much they are winning/losing in terms of USD value.

I agree gambling industry got big boom due to the introduction of cryptocurrencies but this remain unaffected its fluctuating price levels. Probably old gamblers are still setting their base bet around 0.001 BTC whereas new gamblers might be setting around 10k or 1k satoshi. Still, the difference is only for houses to be felt down and not from gambler's point of view.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outside risk: similarities between gambling and trading? on: January 29, 2019, 06:36:20 AM
not all gambling are based on luck because some are actually based on skills but they arent predictable because a loosing situation can can sometimes turn the tides and can make an epic comeback  . trading on the other hand is not predictable because many factors can affect the price .
Both trading and gambling are unpredictable and only up to some levels our skills are penetrable beyond that levels, we need to depend on our lack to favor us, nothing else could help us there. Both in gambling and trading, if our luck favors then we could fish on anywhere. Still in trading, your skills may push your luck to favor you whereas gambling is not having such room for maximizing chances for your luck to favor you.

some traders based on the charts and on other reference but why they still failed to make a good profit  ?  i do both trade and gamble  . thats why i know how it feels  .
Even you are having all the experience and skill about trading, losses could not be avoided in a highly volatile markets. Because, market is influenced by 1000s of factors and no one could analyze all those factors to safe guard their trading assets. This must be the reason why some people do consider trading and gambling are same things to approach.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which you prefer to Gambling, on betting DApp or Gambling in Dice site? on: January 28, 2019, 07:31:27 AM
Here is my question, is this normal sign or I am becoming to an addicted to gambling?
Then if you were in my shoe, which you preferred to focus to gamble in betting Dapp or in web gambling site?
Gambling on Dapp is safe when it comes to your fund storing?
Other than security of your funds, what else advantages you are enjoying with dapps ? I'm asking this because this is first time I'm hearing about all this new world of gambling. Also, security of your funds alone will not be a determining factor for where you may prefer to gamble. Most probably security feature is not all at coming under the umbrella of gamblers preferences because they are expecting entertainment and excitements whereas the security of funds is always given to the reputed gambling houses and after that all the gamblers do forget about that.

I'm not promoting these both gambling sites and betting Dapp just sharing and asking for advice from the folks here.
Examples are always good to explain our points easier hence I believe no one here will be mistaken that you are promoting these gambling sites.
476  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Amazon accept crypto if Bitcoin skyrocket again? on: January 27, 2019, 04:26:17 PM
Amazon is just one example of it. Steam also accepted bitcoin when it was high but then they deleted that option and now we can't buy games with bitcoin. It was great while it lasted and I bought bunch of games from steam when it was available (at the time when bitcoin was going up so much I was making a killing as well so buying bunch of games with bitcoin seemed like a great idea).

Amazon, facebook, steam, many other places will take bitcoin if the price goes above 20 thousand dollars again, however they are not fond of currencies that lose that much money to begin with and may wish to reconsider next time around, the first time it happened maybe they thought that was it, bitcoin reached there and end of story. Now that they saw it going there and coming back, maybe they will want to wait a bit next time around and see how it goes.
477  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Price Defends $3.5K After Cboe Pulls ETF Proposal on: January 27, 2019, 10:18:10 AM
This was something I did not really expected. I mean I knew bitcoin ETF proposal may not get accepted and market would react to it but maybe withdrawing from contention was different. I believed only two options existed, either ETF would get accepted or it would get rejected, I did not think about this option at all.

To my assumptions if the ETF got accepted the price of bitcoin would have gone up and if the ETF got rejected it would have gone down, now that they are not even a thing the price didn't move, its closer to getting rejected than getting accepted so it should have gone down but apparently people didn't even care about it that much which I am not sure if its good or not. Now we know what happens when ETF doesn't happen, it happened before when it got rejected the price didn't move but does that also mean price will not go up when one day it gets accepted? If that's the case that is not good for any of us.
478  Economy / Economics / Re: LESSONS FROM CRYPTO MARKET on: January 27, 2019, 09:48:21 AM
Only one thing ive learned in this crypto market:
Never hodl your coins ,dont ask for higher price and big profit or else you will regret if the price will suddenly drop.
indeed, if we are not good at analyzing, but for those who have good fundamental techniques, certainly not afraid to hold coins that have the potential to have a good future. indeed, today many are frustrated because the prices have dropped dramatically, and therefore many have eroded their confidence

Certainly, this is the risky part of business we tend to hope for the bigger profit and so greed comes in. Well, this is the consequences of being risky which we also lose and all we can do is being wise enough especially what happens in 2018. Many definitely are losing last year that leaves a scars and probably make them to be more careful this year.
That is what we do tough. I mean we take the big risk to get the big reward. If I wanted to get small returns I would just put my money in the bank for savings interest, which is incredibly small and is probably less than the inflation so that doesn't make sense.

We go into crypto because we know in the end we can lose our money and most of us did in the 2018 calendar year but there is also always that chance of hitting big and making much more than the bank interest. So, that is the question you want to ask yourself, would you rather make a guaranteed small return or would you like to risk it all and get a huge return (maybe).

If the answer is I want to make sure my money doesn't get lost, then go invest into a bank savings account but if you don't care losing that money and want to see a big return, crypto is the place for it.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do I buy bitcoin or litecoin? on: January 26, 2019, 03:50:23 PM
Based on what is currently happening what do you think I'm better doing, I have about $150 to spend

Buying bitcoin or litecoin?
Litecoin did not take the strides that some of the other coins did. It has always stayed as the test platform for bitcoin for years. When something needs to be changed on bitcoin to improve it first we try it on litecoin and check if works and if it works we try it on bitcoin as well.

Basically, if you want to buy bitcoin or altcoin is a different subject and we can discuss it forever and I always supported the altcoin in that discussion because I know when the markets go down bitcoin goes down less and altcoins go down more but when the markets are rising altcoins are going higher than bitcoin goes up. However, when it comes to litecoin I do not feel the same way about it, I feel like litecoin is making the same increases and decreases hence if you are going with litecoin you might as well go with bitcoin.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project Initiators and Team need KYC more than Investors on: January 26, 2019, 12:36:05 PM
The decentralized nature of cryptocurrency seems not be effective when it comes to investing in cryptocurrency, seeing that investors in most cases are asked to do KYC, bounty hunters inclusive.

I do not think investors should be compelled or made to do KYC by submitting their personal data and documents, because project initiators do not stand any risk of losing their money. Rather project initiators or developers should be made to do KYC, in order to gain the trust of investors, who want to invest in their projects.

This is necessary because we have seen cases of scam ICOs, which have made investors to lose trust in a lot of them. So to gain the trust back, we would need to know whom we are giving our money to as investors.
I think they are not forced upon you at all. I mean yeah there are some projects that require those things but they are not forcing you to join them, so if you see KYC in some funding than don't put your money in those things.

However, it is good and cool for projects to do that because it shows they are legit and really taking this seriously, I have seen in my time ICO's that was so much scam that the "team members" section was the same guy with fake mustache and all that and also seen one ICO where after it was funded dude changed the website to say "penis" and that's it, all money was gone. So, when you have these professional people who require KYC and so forth to go along with the government and register there you know they are a decent company to say the least.
