4681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 26, 2020, 02:52:07 PM
Don't forget that Dubai is a hub of match fixing and Indians/Pakistani are always found involved in match fixing. Angry They won't let go the opportunity this time too. Earlier Karachi court indicts 13 for alleged collusion with Indian bookies during PSL 2020 and such stories continues with cricket.
What is with your bullshit conspiracy theories? You talk about these theories without any sort of substantial proof to back them up. Weird.

CSK lost the match fair and square. They didn't throw it away as you claim and anyone with a half decent brain understood that. DC was the better team in all departments at the end of the day and that is a fact.

If DC lost the game, would you say Iyer fixed the match? Stop saying silly things without thinking things through.

Already few players and  one team management understood what will happen when you fixed a match in IPL. I do not think any franchise and players will be in a mood to repeat that same mistake. BCCI knows well what kind of location is Dubai and they have already placed in strict protocols for players.

PSLis still very new and the money is way less for players if you compare it with IPL. These things will happen in the future too if PCB  does not take strict action against those players.

Why there is two instant deposit options one say UPI is not supported but just below that it says supported.Anyone really tried to deposit INR using UPI apps?
Yes, I did a transaction of 100 INR using Google pay and it was instant. You can also use Amazon Pay and Paytm if you want.

There is only one instant deposite option on the app using UPI. I do not see two options there. It is similar to the above image.
In the above image itself it says the UPI is not supported but below option shows instant deposit with UPI so there is two difference methods to avail the balance?

The above link is only for NEFT, IMPS and RTGS so it will not work for UPI transactions.
The below link is the correct one.

Just received an email a few minutes back from WazirX, they are now providing instant UPI deposits through UPI. You can use Google Pay. PhonePe and other UPI apps to make the deposit. This service is available 24x7.

Instant deposit is also available via IMPS, NEFT, and RTGS.

Checked the app and this service is live there.

4685  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Question] MiUI security on: September 25, 2020, 06:12:01 AM
I think this topic should be shifted to Off topic section

I would never recommend you to hold your crypto assets on a mobile phone that runs on Android. Security-wise Android has got a lot of security issues. iOS is the best operating system when your priority is security. I have used android in the past and recently moved over to the iOS and I can easily see the difference.

All phones get their components from china and they control more than 80 percent of the app market so it does not make any difference whether you are using a chines phone or not.
4686  Other / Archival / Re: Vulnerability in Lightning Network on: September 25, 2020, 05:56:52 AM
LN is still being worked on by the developers so yes it is still vulnerable to attacks. It is still very early to use it for big transactions it is better to take risks with a small amount. In the coming years, most issues will get resolved as it has happened in the past. Still, a long way to go if LN wants to compete with the banks.
4687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: European Commission officially proposes regulatory framework for crypto-assets on: September 25, 2020, 05:40:46 AM
The 168-page official draft proposal (provisional), published Thursday, highlights the need for a "sound" legal framework, clearly defining the regulatory treatment of all crypto-assets that are not covered by existing EU financial services legislation.

I'm definitely not reading all 168 pages, but the fact that it states clearly on page 1:

At the same time, the EBA and ESMA underlined that – beyond EU legislation aimed at combating money laundering and terrorism financing – most crypto-assets fall outside the scope of EU financial services legislation and therefore are not subject to provisions on consumer and investor protection and market integrity

appears to imply that they have no plans to attempt to regulate protocols like Bitcoin, aside from the usual AML stuff.  The focus will definitely be on the stablecoins that claim to be backed by fiat or other assets, because this is the part that requires trust.  Trust can be abused, therefore requiring regulation around consumer protection.

In essence, protocols can't lie.  Companies can (and often do).

Why would they only go after stable coin and not all crypto assets? If they are only focusing on stable coins then this regulation means nothing at all. There will be other clauses that would indirectly also look into other cryptocurrencies activities

4689  Other / Off-topic / Re: Suggest me Best Romantic Movies in Hollywood? on: September 24, 2020, 03:27:03 PM
My all-time favorite is Pretty Woman and I do not think any other movie can come near it. After seeing that movie I instantly fell in love with her. It falls under the category of Romantic comedy but the chemistry between Richard Gere and Julia Roberts is worth watching.
4690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Warning}: New "Alien" malware targets banking and crypto apps on: September 24, 2020, 03:20:57 PM
That is why it is recommended, use Desktop devices to access your bank account online and Desktop wallets to store your crypto asset. If you have a large quantity then always use a hardware wallet. Android is prone to attack because it is open source whereas you will hear very fewer security issues for iOS devices.
4691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone know a dice game that is actually fair? on: September 24, 2020, 03:13:24 PM
I have not heard any online gambling game which is actually fair, I only know that they are all probably fair. Being fair does not affect a game outcome. Dice games are easy to understand but are the most tricky one. Withdrawl on most gambling sites are instant if you achieve the minimum amount they have nothing to do with fairness.

Does anyone know where this match and the whole IPL season 2020 can be seen live on Internet (Youtube) as these matches are not been broadcasted in Pakistan sports channels  Sad

Quote
Notably, there will be no IPL live telecast in Pakistan. The IPL broadcasters have also got into contracts with the local broadcasters in Afghanistan and Bangladesh for the IPL 2020 live streaming.
Seems Hotstar is the only online platform which streaming IPL 2020 and it isn't available on Pakistan as well but you can download that app using VPN into your device and can buy the subscription with someone's help in your neighbouring country.

It not a practical solution as it is subscription based service and only avaible for the residents of India. Secondly i am not willing to spend the money to watch the IPL live action. I hope someone will come up with a free of cost solution.

Finally i found a free streaming of IPL at facebook. Sports corner are showing all the matches of IPL live on Facebook. The only drawback is that they crop the original telecast from top so that the  official logos are not shown but in this process sometimes the face of the players are also cropped. (as shown in below screenshot). Anyways this is a very good way to enjoy live IPL free of cost in countries where IPL is not allowed to show on televisions.

IPL is only banned in Pakistan, which sounds stupid to me as in the age of internet and live streaming ban never works. On Facebook copyright policy only works when it is reported not like Youtube so you will find live streaming available there until it is reported.

Until then enjoy the free streaming service.
4693  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Portable Electrum Wallet Problem on: September 23, 2020, 02:22:50 PM
I hope you had created a backup of your wallet if not then create one and then upgrade it to the new version. When you create a backup of your wallet you can access your wallet on any device by importing the wallet using backup phrase. So yes, you can use your same wallet on your desktop too.
4694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 23, 2020, 01:35:17 PM
If he can continue his this type performance in this IPL , then i hope we will see him in the net T20 World cup . He gas really has some incredible skills . I want to see his performance in the next few matchs . i think he will be able to make his place in Indian's national squad .

Sometime back, there was a lot of controversy when he was dropped from the team after just one or two matches. Virat Kohli was booed by the local spectators when India was playing a match at Trivandrum (Samson is originally from that city), when he gave preference to Rishabh Pant over Samson. This incident left a lot of bad blood and the selectors ignored him after that.

Whatever happend in the past will now not affect his future. Tremendous batting from him yesterday, if he can continue his form in this IPL then he might get selected. Consistency does matter nowadays in cricket.
4695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: September 23, 2020, 01:31:39 PM
He does the right thing already. He speaks about it.
He also does a very smart move of giving OP 70% of his salary to make sure he's not spending it at gambling.

I am gambling addicted aswell, lost a lot of money over the last 5 years.
I started this year to send basicly all my big money to a very good friend who takes care of it.
Since then I do not loose more then a few 100$ a day (Its still a lot but I earn it from referral commissions on the same casinos I play with)

I had some days last year where I lost 15000$ in a single day. That day was one of the worst ever to me.

I think important to say is:

When the fun stops, you should stop. If you chase your old losses, you should stop immadently. Don't expect a big win. Gambling is for fun, not to create money.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Good to hear that you are working out of your addiction and trying to make your life smoother I am not habitual gambler but have incurred good losses in the past and have also worked things out now.

I Hope everything goes smooth for you in the future.
4696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gambling in the wake of covid-19 on: September 23, 2020, 01:26:18 PM
Losing money in gambling can attract people to do a bad thing. If they lose their money, they can't buy food to survive because they are hungry. We can play gambling, but we need to have rules to have money for our lives still. If we still playing gambling without stop, sooner or later, we will lose all the money.
This type of gambler is considered as an addict to gambling. No person can gamble without sparing some money to buy some food. This is ridiculus type of person and should call the attention of people near to him. He needs counselling and protection against his gambling acts. If not then he could suffer the rest of his life and you might regret not helping him towards change in his life. Just a little awareness for him or his family about the his gambling addiction problem let them decide what to do on him. If he manage to change then you shoulf congratulate your self for helping others and if they will not change at least you have tried and have no regret to it.

Everyone who gambles will get addicted to it some day or the other and later on they will commit such crimes to fulfill their addiction. When you are addict you will forget about food and family, you will only worry and care about addiction.
4697  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Newbie Should be Careful When Received New Follower From Famous Bitcoiner on: September 23, 2020, 12:59:21 PM
On social media, it is better to ignore any request from someone you do know personally. I never ever engages in casual chat also cause scammers can scam you while you thought they were providing you with a valuable information on chat.

Accepting new followers wont hurt you if you always follow the above method.
4698  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Corona Virus Update - India! on: September 23, 2020, 12:47:48 PM
There is a debate happening that there is a chance that second wave could hit the country and if this happens India would be effected most badly with it since currently approx. 0.1 million cases are being recorded daily and if second wave comes it would be unimaginable how many cases could rise and what will happen to people and their businesses.
Even if there is another wave of corona virus hit India we have less chances of having strict lockdown because government already mentioned they don't have any money to extend the lockdown and also they didn't do anything for the public, because this government care for owners not for the employee.Possibly we will lose millions of life but it will be still counted as negligible amount by our honourable leaders. Embarrassed

Actually if you go outside or walk down the streets you will understand that the government is helpless as most Indians give a damm about this virus and are not following the SOPs.

Remembers Lockdown, Few Indians never followed those rules, they even fought with the frontlne workers. What would you expect the government to do when people themselves have taken this disease ligthly.

Its rare to see new members in our board, anyway good luck for your effort.

You are right but yet there are few of them who are pretty busy on other boards and I wanted to increase the engagement here, that was the sole purpose of creating a topic like this one.

Good idea pakhitheboss to have some discussions on this board. Only thing is that newbies and Junior members we have seen are hardly or say very less, so just in case you want to increase that range till Full Members. Choice is yours and good to see somebody taking care of it also.

I do not think that should be a problem I will increase it to Full Member but more preference will be given to the newbie and Jr Member.
