5381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins joins the bank on: May 17, 2020, 06:36:06 AM
I guess they can't really beat Bitcoin.
Just saw on Reddit where
An old article states dated September 13,2017

"bitcoin is a fraud that will blow up, says JP Morgan Boss"

And now May 12,2020
"JK Morgan Extends Banking services to bitcoin exchanges"

I guess if you can't beat 'em join 'em.

So  i guess as my opinion on bitcoin future will be stable and no coin will take over it.

So whats your insight about this news? What will happen in bitcoin ?

This is really interesting.

How cunning banks are? They cannot fight it or destroy it. hence, they will use it for their own benefit. For every transaction I am sure JP Morgan would be charging a good fee to the exchanges. Still it is a good news for the community.

6. Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala.

Dharamshala is my fav, it doesn't matter anyway. BCCI looking at Bengaluru, The National Cricket Academy (NCA) is already there and has all the training facilities they need and now it depends on the Karnataka's gov.

Bengaluru is one of the metro cities and large number of cases are being reported from there every day. Therefore I don't think that it will be a good idea to conduct the matches there. The BCCI should have constructed stadiums in North-east India and in places such as Andaman Nicobar Islands. It would have been mutually beneficial for both the parties.

 Grin
Brilliant suggestion, now they will realise their mistake and start working on the construction of Cricket stadiums at remote location of India. This will not only improve the infrastructure of that location but will also create employment opportunities for the locals.
5383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 17, 2020, 06:17:01 AM
I don't think that will end tomorrow. Even it is withdrawn then there will be restrictions on sports and entertainment. I heard from news that for the future games teams will go to the host country stay quarantined for 15 days and then play in spectators free stadiums.
It is possible if the cricket playing countries are able to conduct intensive test for the virus and monitor each player before allowing the players to start preparing and then start playing the tournaments in empty stadiums. They need to get permission from their respected government to restart everything and for that we need to wait for some more time.

The biggest question is, is it profitable for them to conduct the matches in empty stadiums and if the government will allow to continue with sports.

Don't think if the government priorities at this time is to resume the cricket. The main focus of the governments is to open up the lock down so that people can go back on their jobs and business with certain restrictions and SOPs. Resuming cricket is not a big priority at the moment.

Cricket would only become priority in the big case events where the government and people get huge revenues and it is worth taking that much risk at present situation. I think they will start thinking later as anyways the rains would be in soon and for next 3 months it would not be able to conduct matches.

Most government are concerned about economic revival and curbing the virus spread. Cricket will be the last thing they will have in their mind. But, you cannot say that cricket tournaments do not generate a huge revenue.

A 2018 articles states that
According to the data provided by BCCI, the Indian Premier League (IPL) contributed Rs 11.5 billion ($182 million) to India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2015.

Yo can read the complete article here https://www.financialexpress.com/sports/ipl/ipl-economy-what-the-cash-rich-league-adds-to-indias-gdp/1025063/

This data is from the organised sector, the same amount or less will also come from the unorganised sector.
5384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: May 17, 2020, 05:32:40 AM
Well, I prefer chance based games as I do not want to use my brains for playing online. You are never sure whether you are playing with an actual human or a bot. Also chance based games are more luck based games therefore the uncertainty factor creates more excitement.

If you are good in trading then why not start a Youtube channel about trading strategies and tips. There is a huge demand related to trading videos on YouTube and the income is also quite good after your reach a certain subs level.

If you do consider starting a Youtube channel then send me a DM of your channel page and I will subscribe to it and promote it if your content is good.

No one responded to this means that people are not interested in Retrolive matches. Also this is the first weekend where retrolive does not repeat telecast any match, does this means that people are no longer interested in old matches and they want to view the new live matches only ?

At first people reacted out of respect to their old memories and due to lockdown implication -boredom- but after sometime everyone accepted that Retrolive_matches are boring, so no more telecast or viewership/clicks.

@JSRAW you’re absolutely correct because initially people were struggling to get used to their lockdown routine hence watching the old matches was kind of peaceful for them, but over a period of time they all finally settled in to their new routine and hence they stopped watching those matches as they diverted their time in other activities. Lastly as usual it came down to money, and once the broadcasters realised that they’re not making any money from showing the old matches, they decided to pull the plug and and I feel that their action is completely justified under the circumstances.

Absolutely correct it is too frustrating now to watch those retro matches. I want to see some actual cricket now but, with all those negative news about postponing future tournaments my frustrations is growing even more.
5387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 16, 2020, 02:02:46 PM
Well its looking very good for the T20 world cup to go ahead as planned as the football season in Australia is going to start in June and the AFL have already said that if they need to move the grand final from the MCG because of the world cup then they will move it to another stadium. Lets now hope that Australia is able to keep the virus cases low and we get to see some cricket played on time.

I heard that T20 world cup is likely to be postponed till  2022. Although the decision is not final yet but there are high possibilities that This year’s T20 World Cup may be postponed to 2022. I know it will disappoint many of us including me, if this decision is finalized.

This is very bad news!

If it gets postponed they we have to wait for 24 months for the tournament to happen. Why are the postponing it for 2 years. Why not next year? I enjoy T20 format more than any other format. Nothing is clear but there is a high chance it will get postponed this year.

Thank You Very Much!

Bitcointalk is not marketplace, it is forum related to Bitcoin and altcoins. First go through the forum and understand which thread is for what?

Then try to build your reputation by helping others or by sharing knowledge in this forum. Then think about earnings.

Being a newbie your chance of making money are very less. Try to achieve the level of a Member and then think about earning.

5389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is our killer app? on: May 16, 2020, 11:53:37 AM
I wish this could happen soon. Clas royale is one of my favourite games based on P2P model. If gamers can come out with such a game  where people can bet Bitcoin for every game they play then it would be fantastic. In the meantime you can try arcade based gaming sites like saltybets or betroar to play with your Bitcoins.
5390  Other / Meta / Re: Why Bitcointalk not Having its own Bitcointalk App on: May 16, 2020, 11:21:08 AM
It is a pretty big forum so if they plan on convert it to an app it will take some time. In the meantime iit would be great if this forum can be optimised  to view on mobile devices. I have been using it on my mobile and tablet for some time now the only issue is that you have to zoom in and zoom out a lot of time.
5391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: J.K. Rowling, Author Of Harry Potter Is Interested in Bitcoin, Time To Short? on: May 16, 2020, 11:07:51 AM

If JK Rowling had bought Bitcoin then I am sure he might have come out with this news. Pleased to hear he hasn't.

How a fake JK Rowling account made the community a bunch of morons.

5392  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hacked Exchanges since 2011 on: May 16, 2020, 10:55:29 AM
Cryptocurrency exchanges have become an easy target for hackers. The list is enormous and the amount lost is staggering. New upcoming exchanges are more vulnerable to attacks. In most cases it has been an insider job or a rival exchange.

This business is so lucrative that everyone wants to have a pie of it but none of them want to safe guard investors money. It is sad to see so many name in this list every year.
5393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crappy and Fantasy use cases in blockchain and Crypto space on: May 16, 2020, 10:19:14 AM
In one word any project that has a utility token which cannot be utilised is a crappy project. I prefer staying away from any project that comes with a utility token. Most projects listed on the bounty sections have utility tokens.

There are very few that are creating their own Blockchain or are working for the development of the Blockchain. These are the projects that every hunter should search for.

But some of these projects have not been able to deliver their products. Therefore you need to do a thorough check before you plan on investing or joining their bounty.
5394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokpie Platform Questions on: May 16, 2020, 09:47:04 AM
I'm looking for answers about Tokpie, the website claims that bounty hunters can sell their stakes for ethereum, how true is this? Have anyone if you guys sold stakes for ETH successful on Tokpie Platform? Any answer will be appreciated, thanks 🙏

I had participated in tokpie token bounty last year. At that time we were informed tha we could exchange our bounty stakes for Ethereum or USD before the bounty ends. I personally waited for the TKP and therefore di d not convert my stakes to Ethereum or USD.

It is an interesting concept where stakes can be converted to ETH or USD without the bounty being officially over. It is an exchange for trading stakes.  The value of your stake determines the amount of ETH or USD you will get paid.
5395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: J.K. Rowling, Author Of Harry Potter Is Interested in Bitcoin, Time To Short? on: May 16, 2020, 04:23:57 AM
https://www.coincurb.com/news/j-k-rowling-author-of-harry-potter-is-interested-in-bitcoin-time-to-short/

'Bitcoin is taking a big hit today, currently trading at $9,360 after briefly touching $9,800 in inter-day trading. Bears are back in town after the recent $10,000 rejection, however, the interest in Bitcoin seems to be growing.

Legendary author, J.K. Rowling, has recently shown her interest in Bitcoin over Twitter.'

Bitcoin is facing a huge resistance at 9800 level this is the second time in this month that it has struggled to stay there. I am still happy that it has not take a huge dive considering the halving has finished.

That is great to hear that JK Rowling is interested in knowing more about Bitcoin. It is certain that she might write about it in the future. Good to hear about it.
5396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lockdown and eCommerce and increase in online payments = Bitcoin addoption on: May 15, 2020, 02:35:49 PM
I have noticed that a lot of countries allowed eCommerce sites to continue doing business during the "Lockdown" periods. People are now forced to buy things online and then to have it delivered, where they previously walked around in Malls and shops.

So, with the increase in eCommerce, one would think that it would go hand in hand with a increase in online payment methods..right? Seeing that Bitcoin is one of the most secure online payment methods, one would also think that there would be a increase in the adoption of Bitcoin use...right?

What is your thoughts on the possibility that Bitcoin adoption might increase, because there are more focus being placed on eCommerce? Do your government also encourage eCommerce during the "Lockdown" and are you seeing a increase in the merchant adoption of Bitcoin payment options?

Let's share our experience and your thoughts on how Bitcoin adoption could increase adoption during these difficult times.  Wink

Quite the opposite will happen now.
Bitcoin adoption will now get declined as people will invest in Bitcoin to secure there savings. The world's economy has already started showing trouble. Banks have already reduced the saving rates and stock markets are going down. The only stable and still growing commodity is Bitcoin.

For e-commerce why will anyone use Bitcoin they will use there own local currency to purchase things online. Most countries already have digital local currencies. Furthermore most e-commerce website do not accept Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies.

Hi Everyone, check out this video on MoonTrader, a trading terminal built for everyone. The explanation is pretty decent as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggi9lEQPkgE&t

I do not believe in YouTube videos. There are too many scams happening out there. Untill some one has used this terminal and provides proof of them trading using this terminal I am not interested in investing into it.

Now days there are so many scammers using YouTube platform. I personally have reported so many of them but it seems they are unable to stop these scams.

    • What is the stability zone of Bitcoin Price ?
    • Still Altcoin's downtrend continue ?
    • What is the perfect time to buy Altcoins?
    • When we can see a strong bounce back in altcoins

I have not heard this term  niether have I seen Bitcoin or the cryptocurrency market being stable. It is a high volatile market and anything can happen anytime. Historically 2016 after halving, Bitcoin crashed but altcoin exploded. I do not think it will happen this time. At the moment Bitcoin is having a small Bull run and it is bleeding altcoins. I think it will remain like this till the end of May.
5399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New exchanges worth my money???? on: May 14, 2020, 03:59:15 PM
I will like to drop my likes for few altcoin projects for some minutes and talk about one particular use case in crypto space today that hardly goes wrong unless the team have bad intent from scratch, that's Exchange Platform, most new exchanges are 99% bad but I will like to give a try, I'm looking or seeking for a fresh new exchange token that I can invest little money on, I think it's worth the risk after seeing how successful some people turned after investing in the follow exchanges

    1. Binance (BNB Token)
    2. OKEX  (OKB token)
    3. Huobi token

Once upon a time these exchange tokens are dirty cheap and look how amazing they are today, now if you don't mind please fill me with some information

You right these exchange coins were once dirt cheap but you still cannot guarantee that you will be able to profit by investing in a new exchange. For instance you can check kucoin they also have their native coin. At the moment it is cheaper than the above listed coin. You shoul give it a try.
5400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel this pressure on physical gambling? on: May 14, 2020, 03:53:30 PM
In physical gambling (whether it's a big casino or just small gambling), do pressure on your opponents or playmates actually happen? Like for example, you only set a limited capital but since your friends still want to play, you will end up using all of your money. Or let's say in a casino, you have used all of your allotted money on gambling but since your opponent is winning and he wants to play more, do you exceed on your limit? Just because you don't want to look like you are afraid, that you don't have enough money already, and that you are losing?

Since I do online gambling, I don't feel this kind of pressure. I can stop whenever I want or when I have used all of my money. I don't feel embarrassed or what.

PS: I'm not sure if this topic already existed here and if there's I'm gonna delete this thread.

I have not come across such a situation so I won't know whether this kind of situation can arise. I generally gamble online so things are pretty different but sometimes I do gamble online with my mates and when I want to stop I do stop.

I guess it might be the physical presence that might intimidate you to follow your peers.
