5361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The One Biggest Lesson you've learnt from Bitcoins Investment on: May 20, 2020, 01:44:44 PM
My biggest lesson from Bitcoin investment is to have patience. Lots and lots of patience. There have been instances wherein I have sold my Bitcoin just before the price went up and I regretted my decision. It is better to keep a cool mind and always think about long term gain when you are investing in Bitcoin.
5362  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you buy Bitcoin and Alts without Identification? on: May 20, 2020, 10:59:02 AM
Bitcoin ATMs are not available in every country but local crypto is available globally. I prefer using it than any other listed here. Local Bitcoin was good until they started asking KYC. Nowadays it is getting harder to get Bitcoin without KYC.
5363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance is a good exchange but don't expect forever surge on: May 20, 2020, 09:55:06 AM
I guess people are treating it as an epitome of cryptocurrency exchange, whereas it is not. It too got hacked and it does have flaw such as centralisation and highest fees for launching a project. I guess there is a lot of hype that still exists about Binance.
5364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 20, 2020, 09:16:19 AM
It seems to me that everyone building a follow up story if IPL takes place instead of WC T-20. Mark Taylor gave couple of reasons and the way he puts out it sounds logical.

TLDR : Money and revenue matters..
T20 World Cup postponement could pave the way for IPL: Mark Taylor

Well in this case just for IPL to happen the World Cup May get postponed and their may be some objections raised by some of the boards I think considering which is the bigger of the two . One is run by BCCI and other by ICC . Hopefully their are no major retaliation and fans are able to see the cricket whichever it may be .

I guess CA and BCCI are on same page and their interest aligns with eachothers.

- If T-20 WC gets cancels then BCCI is winner, in case IPL takes place in OCT-NOV. BCCI might earn heavy amount approx $400-$500 Millions from the IPL in comparison of $80 Millions from the T-20 WC.
- In return BCCI will play Bilateral series with the CA which is schedule in Dec this year. Winner is CA

Rest of the cricketing nations should raise their voice if that happens.

It doe not matter anymore, In my opinion any cricket tournament will be a welcomed by cricket lovers. I prefer WC over IPL but in crisis situation like this where global economy is on the verge of collapsing I guess IPL will be a refresher for ICC, BCCI, cricket players and other boards.
5365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 20, 2020, 09:09:22 AM
Official announcement coming from the ICC - No use of Saliva-
They come up with 2 extra announcement as far as cricket is concern.
- Relaxation on neutral umpire rules as International flights are limited due to Covid-19.
- Extra DRS for every team in each innings.
I did not understand the logic behind banning the use of saliva when each and every player is tested, relaxation on neutral umpires can be justified but what is the option to shine the ball as it is important for the bowlers to get swing. Having extra DRS is a welcome change and you need to have the option when the technology offers, i am of the view that they limit the number of DRS allowed.

After all these press if still a player gets covid19 then the whole tournament will be at risk. That is why they have banned the use of saliva. Still, I feel it is very illogical as through sneeze and hugging still players can get this virus.

5366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: May 19, 2020, 10:01:23 PM
Since democrats elected Biden there already no any another result than Trump victory. I will bet a little, but it's not interesting anyway. Another 4 years with Trump is coming  Grin

I am not so sure that Trump will win. Without the corona crisis, I would say that it was an easy win for Trump, but right now? But it is too bad that Biden is not a super candidate for the Democrats, if they would have someone such as Obama...

I think that is very difficult to predict Presidential election this year.
Who know what can happen until November?
If many people dies from corona virus than I'm sure Trump will loose elections.
But, right now Trump is all the time on TV news and in newspapers and if he solve corona crisis I think that Biden have no chance against him in November.
People like winers 😁

Agreed!

Last time also he was always on the TV for something or the other. A lot of negative publicity helped him in winning the elections. I believe that the same is happening again and if he is able to solve this crisis then he might win once again.
5367  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: about whales entering and leaving exchange on: May 19, 2020, 09:57:27 PM
There can be many reason associated to the movement of large sum of BTC. It is not possible to point out what reason has caused such a movement. I would not recommend any one to follow such website to decide your trading strategies. I think it is better to check other sources like news and current trends to analyse Bitcoins movement.
5368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to start accept cryptocurrency on your site on: May 19, 2020, 09:25:40 PM
The best part about accepting cryptocurrencies on your website is that you do not need to open a new bank account. It very easy to integrate, you only need to create a wallet and everything falls in place.

For customers, the benefit of using cryptocurrency as payment is that he/she does not need to enter account details on the website which means his privacy is not compromised.
5369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your stategy how to grow bitcoin on: May 19, 2020, 09:18:12 PM
There are many ways to grow your own Bitcoin reserve that you can find on the internet. Only a few work as most of them are not tested but recommended.

I personally have tested a few and have earned Bitcoin quite successfully. The best is joining a signature campaign on Bitcointalk that pays you in Bitcoin.

Since it is quite hard to join a signature campaign that pays you in Bitcoin the other option is to write articles on websites like Publishox, Steemit, and others similar to them and get paid in cryptocurrencies which you can convert into Bitcoin.

Trading and investing in ICO or IEO is quite risky and there no guarantee that you will be able to earn Bitcoin.
5370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some questions on BTC on: May 18, 2020, 01:24:52 PM
I have an electrum standalone wallet for storing my BTC. I have three questions

1. I read that never store all your coins in one wallet. So wts the solution? should I install two electrum standalone wallets and store my coins in both of them?

2. I have written seed on a paper to recover my BTC in case my computer got corrupt. What thing apart from seed should I backup to recover my wallet in case my system is corrupted.

3. Strong password is good enough to secure a wallet or I have to do something else also.

Thanks.

1. It is upto you whether you want to store all your coins in one wallet or multiple wallets. I have been using a single Bitcoin wallet and I have been storing all of them in one place. Iit is okay to have multiple wallets as long as you are able to remember the Private key and seed information pertaining to the right wallet.

2. You only need the seed to get access to your coins on the Blockchain incase of any mishap. You just need to download the wallet once again and select Recover Wallet option to get access to your coins.

3. Strong password is good enough to secure the wallet.
5371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FOX prepared to add virtual fans and crowd noise to NFL broadcasts on: May 18, 2020, 12:58:01 PM
I have watched the german Bundesliga over the weekend without fans and it just seems weird... no fans, no crowd noises.
Takes away the atmosphere and makes the game almost seem a bit dull.

Of course the noise would only be in the broadcast and not in an empty stadium.
It is not that weird to play in an empty stadium but if you add noise with the use of speakers then it will be pretty weird. I hate to say this, but i never expected we would see fake reactions but now the broadcasters wanted to add the crowd noise to add the flavor.  I would like to hear the real conversation of the players rather than some fake reactions and with an empty stadium you could clearly hear what the players talk and a good commentary will sort the problem.

We have been feeded with fake reactions crowd voice for a long time on popular tv shows. The only problem is that those shows were not broadcasted live, therefore the sound editing team were able to perfect it without any issues. On a live match it might get little harder for them. I am sure they might have been working on it to perfect it. There might be few hickups in the beginning but gradually they will improve.
5372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 18, 2020, 12:52:17 PM
All kinds of sports events are about to re-start again, What is the future of Test-cricket in the current situation?

Is it at all possible to protect the players and audience for such a long time if the corona vaccine cannot be discovered in near future? It seems Test-cricket board doesn't care much about Gallery supporters.

Meanwhile, according to the new decision, the T20 World Cup is going to be held in October, but it is Short-term game, hope there will be nothing problems and The ICC is taking this decision after ensuring security, maybe the ODI game will start soon.

Guys what's your perspective? what do you think about Test match?

In my opinion Test cricket will also be resume but stadiums will remain empty. I think from now on all kinds of sports events will be conducted without the crowd. German football league has started and they are playing in empty stadium. This system will prevail untill a cure is out, which might take more than a year from now on.

This is a really good sign for sports enthusiasts like us we can now again watch our favourite players playing our favourite sports on our TV's.
5373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 18, 2020, 12:40:39 PM
The decision has been taken at the ICC board meeting last Friday shows that they have three options for the upcoming T-20 World Cup.

1) The first option allows crowds with a 14-days quarantine as per the T20 global schedule.
2) The second is that there will be no spectators in any stadium during the T-20 World Cup.
3) The third option is to move the tournament to 2022.

Source: News18

I think the second option is the one that ICC and the other boards will be okay with. I still do not understand what do they mean with the first option. It is practically impossible to ask everyone in the crowd for 14 days quarantine,. The fire one is not possible.
5374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Reveals How much Bitcoins he Hold on: May 17, 2020, 09:52:14 AM
How the heck can you believe on what he tweeted. Why will anyone reveal the actual amount on a public forum when the world knows never to reveal your holding.

He is playing mind games with the community as he has done in the past and there are members here who believe those tweets. Those are bunch of lies he tweeted.

I vote #1 ClassyBeef

That is the same expression that comes on my face when ever I win with a big bet. That expression with head nods is my way of showing my excitement as I am happy and satisfied with the result. Well, that happens rarely but whenever it happens it is the best thing that can happen.
5376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a professional gambler on your own way. on: May 17, 2020, 08:46:05 AM
There are some people who are dreaming to become a professional gambler like Don Johnson who won $15.2 million playing blackjack, when asked to explain what his secret was, Johnson smiled and then he explained he needed only two things to beat the house: good skills and a plan. Having skills in every battle would be a great advantage but it won't work if you do not plan something, so it is a matter of combination between skills and plans.

Every successful professional gamblers treat gambling as a sport and like disciplined athletes, they don't let their emotions get the better of them. There will be bets you win and bets you lose. If you let the excitement or sadness get to you, you will end up making bad gambling decisions.

If you are going to ask any professional gamblers how do they survive at the tables. No matter how good you are, they will tell you this: it's inevitable that you will have a bad string of results Ir even a bad year so we should always accept that we can lose the game.

Gambling facts:
There are some gamblers who believe in superstition. Every time you watch or read something about gambling, the hero of the story goes on a winning streak as soon they bet on their lucky number, or keep a lucky clover close to their heart. If you think these things work, don't gamble. As you can read on this article that explains how to win at Blackjack every time you play, superstition has nothing to do with your success rate at the table.

I am happy the way I am playing now. I intend to gamble for entertainment and not for making money. I play because I love the excitement and the urge to win.

Whatever my skills are I am happy with it and I donot want to break my head for a game or two.
5377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for good trading on: May 17, 2020, 08:32:52 AM
Very informative thread, you have covered most common tips that everyone needs to inculcate themselves before starting to trade. There is another one that you can add to your list of tips. Start with Small

In my opinion that tip is the most important of all the others.

~snip
Don't think if the government priorities at this time is to resume the cricket. The main focus of the governments is to open up the lock down so that people can go back on their jobs and business with certain restrictions and SOPs. Resuming cricket is not a big priority at the moment.
The England cricket board is expecting to resume international matches by July 8 and they will be hosting West Indies but it is not clear when the domestic season will be starting. All the English players are expected to resume training this month

There is another league planning to schedule, Vincy Premier League (VPL) T10 and it will start by May 22.

No idea about the rest of the cricket boards but hopefully Australia will follow the same path.

Both the England and the WI board and government are agreed on this schedule ? If this happens and the tournament is played successfully then we can see other boards take similar steps too to resume the cricket. However, it will be difficult to take this initiative and they will face a lot criticism for that too.

In my opinion some one has to start and if these boards go on with the tournament then others will follow with some hickups. There are two sides to everything there will be people who will criticize this move and then there is people like us who will support it.
5379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBI Plans to Utilize Ripple Payments Network to Consolidate ATM Access in Japan on: May 17, 2020, 07:42:20 AM
Ripple is not a cryptocurrency as such it is a investment scheme that is operated by banks through hidden structure. There are numerous articles and videos that suggest that with proofs on Google. Therefore it does not matter what they are doing or with whom they are collaborating.
5380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was the maximum fee required for being confirmed within next block on: May 17, 2020, 07:10:51 AM
Yes you are right the fee has been on the higher side recently. I generally transfer Bitcoin every week using MyCellieum wallet. I use the normal transfer mode and recently it has been charging me 76 sat/byte. Whereas  a month back it was 44sat/byte. I think this might be due to the halving and decline in the hash rate.
