My temperature sensor does not show up on the web interface. I also noticed that on the lcd screen, when I power up the miner it stays on the "Loading minerosd.." message and it does not display the hashrate, IP and temperature.
Other than that the CCD hashes normally @ 600Gh/s.
Any ideas?

I've had troubles with my LCD and reflashing the image cleared them. Unfortunately they don't have the latest images on the site. You might have to contact support for that.

Really very good thankyou for this info we just recieved 5 units of these miners and waitng on rest of our order, i do want to comment the folowing,
1: packaging is not the best we recieved one unit with suport base bent and one of the R44 BUSTED.( i guess that board will not hash)
2: WE PAID FOR ASSEMBLED UNITS AND THEY SENT THERMAL PADS NOT INSTALLED.(to me that means no quality control !, i hope my units run well will advise)
As far as the erruptor is concerned i would like to verify , the ones i recieved say 5 volts input,( not 12v) please advise, and thankyou again for the most thorough guide in setup.
wait so do you need to unscrew all the boards or did you somehow get extra pads?

They are absolutely 12V and will not work at 5V. I have no idea who was responsible for labelling the cases as 5V.

Just to be clear on the tax status of this auction. There is no additional cost to any bidders (other than me), just collecting the legally required taxes.

US and rest of world   - bid as normal.
VAT registered UK businesses - will be invoiced an additional 20% VAT on bid prices [which they can later reclaim at no cost]
VAT registered EU businesses - bid as normal, please let me know your VAT number.
Non VAT registered UK          - bid as normal, I will pay 20% tax and take the hit.
Non VAT registered EU          - bid as normal, I will pay 20% tax and take the hit.

Oh yes, and you are going to do what exactly?
4727  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Tube Setup [HD] on: September 06, 2014, 02:30:47 AM
Great guide Dogie the pictures are amazing as always. Will you provide information on over clocking I see you have said it will achieve 920gh/s over clocked how stable is that?
Sometimes a good reboot is all that's needed.. Oh and a nice drop in ambient temperature.
thats the highest GH ive seen so far and one board is having problems lol

The stats are garbage, he was only running for 7 minutes but on 6000 difficulty. Thats the equivalent of 40 seconds on 500 difficulty.

Round 8 is here.
4730  Economy / Auctions / Advertise in Dogie's Comprehensive Guides [Round8] on: September 06, 2014, 12:30:59 AM
What is being auctioned? Why?
Non intrusive ad space in my setup guides is being publicly auctioned. I work for the community full time and am not funded by the community or any company. Donations have not exceeded $100 in total this year and so I have to find a way to keep the guides sustainable and FREE for the average consumer. Selling ad space is one such trial.

Ad Format

  • Leaderboard style (728x90px), static images (jpg, gif, png), non annoying colors.
  • Ads may not misrepresent, lie, be inappropriate, be (or link to) NSFW content. I reserve the right to reject ads for other reasons or remove ads even after they have been accepted.

  • There are 5 ad slots for sale. One slot will be placed after sections 2, 4 and 6 in all the guides listed at the bottom of the post.
  • I will randomise which ad is placed in which slot on each guide so each slot receives the same impressions.
  • The ads last at least 10 days starting from when they are put up. Traffic is expected to be 20,000 impressions per slot over the period.
  • This traffic is exceptionally targeted to the hardware subforum, and more specifically to those who have either bought or are looking to buy miners.

Auction Format

  • Auction will run for approximately 7 days, to end at midnight London time / 3PM PDT / 6PM EDT on Friday 12th September.
  • Post your bids in this thread. Prices must be stated in BTC per slot. You must state the max number of slots you want.
  • The notation "2 @ 0.40" means 2 slots for BTC 0.40 each. Not 2 slots for 0.40 BTC total.
  • If two people bid at the same price, the person who bid first will have his slots filled first.
  • Bidding starts at BTC 0.40. All bid prices must be evenly divisible by BTC 0.04.

I reserve the right to reject bids, even days after the bid is made. In particular, bids from people with less than 15 activity points are likely to be rejected. I recommend not getting into a bidding war with someone who has less than 15 activity points, as their bids might not be accepted, but your latest bids will still stand. If you need to know right away whether someone's bids will be accepted, PM me.

You must pay for your slots within 24 hours of receiving the payment address otherwise your slots may be sold to someone else. I will send you the payment information via forum PM from this account ("dogie", user ID 87869). You might receive false payment information from scammers pretending to be me. They might even have somewhat similar usernames. Be careful.

tldr for getting started:
  • Starting bid is BTC 0.40 per slot
  • 5 slots being sold
  • Bid using slots @ price each notation (3 @ 0.40 means 3 slots @ BTC 0.40 each)

You should be able to use any type of pool using the proxy.
I'm really sorry to see this as the accepted solution and AM are not addressing it.

Its not the solution, its a workaround.
I know it's a workaround. What I'm telling you is I've seen this pattern before and that's all AM will do about it and it will be the solution.

What would you suggest?

That shit 'news' site started moderating my comments.

Then why have you posted this information knowing its false and the company is like a scam? People can find more information here: https://bitcointalk.org/index....

Edit: And now because I'm critical and showing that you are being paid to run the article, you now censor my comments.

Dogie how many tubes would you recommend be used per controller board for stability?
What are common factors that effect stability?

Also congratulations on 4000 forum posts.

The controller is fine dealing with 8 but then every time you take one down for maintenance you take half the chain down with it. Temperatures and using the wrong PSUs are the main factors. I have lots of CX750s from the good old days and while two of them can power 4 or 5 boards between them, getting 6 out of them is very difficult. RM1000s are infinitely more suited to the task.

What's the CFM on the stock fan?

Tempted to get more of these tube miners but frustrated that it won't work with miningrigrentals type of pools.

Its less about CFM and more about static pressure which is hard to measure and impossible to compare against anything other than server fans. You can try and track down the data sheet for HashRatio's 120mm Nidec Beta V TA450DC to compare as ASICMiner's fan is generic/unmarked.

You should be able to use any type of pool using the proxy.

Any chance at reviewing AMT's status? They have at least on the ethics side shown their colors. Deliveries started, but in various states of missing parts. I was lucky and got complete units only because they were meant for someone else. However, a number of other people got bad missing parts. Considering how long it also took and the issues still on going, it would seem to be worth another look.

Can you link me to some of the missing parts?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=584891.700 this page and a few more things besides missing PSUs. Early orders not received and such.

I didn't actually see one case of missing parts on that page :/

I can understand your point for the S3+ but the L1 is clearly a preorder.

**Chip Efficiency: Efficiency is a simulation result. Though BITMAIN has good track records of making power effective miner, this is only simulation. The final number depends on the testing results before shipping and it is not binding term.

That's right.

they started to become greedier and greedier, so no more coupons for us ! Grin

Let's be clear here, Bitmain had a secret agenda, which has now been revealed ... hashnest ... YOU (the buying public/private miner) are not now on their main agenda ....

Shame, I had faith like others ... and bought a good many miners from them over the months.

Thats not really true. S2s unfortunately proved unsuitable for shipping both physically and due to the controllers. They stopped selling them to the public when they realised and instead accelerated the S3s.
