481  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-19] Heard of bitcoin's 'halving'? It's set to shake crypto markets ... on: December 27, 2019, 05:33:19 AM
Halving is basically the reduction of the block rewards of the bitcoin network for miners so for instance with this incoming halving the reward for a block is going to be reduced from 12.5 to 6.25. This activity has always been followed by some slight increases in the crypto market and i guess that is why most folks are still thinking history is likely to repeat itself. However, i am not too hopeful with this halving that it is going to have a major impact on the crypto market.
482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Banks Went from Dismissing Bitcoin, to Seeing it as a Revolution on: December 26, 2019, 07:25:26 AM
I don't blame these banks though, when you have the slightest knowledge about something it's always normal to have fears and be a bit skeptical. However most have started to understand the core mandate of the blockchain technology and are thinking things over. Many banks have started making plans of creating their own digital currency. Let's see how 2020 will be for the adoption of cryptocurrencies.
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Make Money With Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2019, 02:18:54 AM
I do trade with my bitcoins but i go in for margin trading on Bitmex where i get to place x10 leverages with my trades. It's pretty scary sometimes and you can have all your asset liquidatee if your price  prediction  is not hit. I also invest into low cap coins who have a future and wait for theeir price to rise at least by 40% before selling off.
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now YouTube is flagging Bitcoin and crypto-related videos? on: December 25, 2019, 05:50:19 PM
Some prominent cryptocurrency channels on Youtube have seen their videos removed today. It’s unclear how many major channels have been affected thus far, but three have been confirmed.

Could YouTube be cracking down on cryptocurrency-related videos? According to recent reports, such an operation is going on as we speak. Three prominent YouTube channels specializing in cryptocurrencies report that they have been subject to content-flagging today. The move was completely unexpected and has left many in the blockchain space wondering if this may be the beginning of a bigger operation.

Should I move away from YouTube?

I just don't know what to believe, but I honestly think that YouTube isn't gonna doing this by surprise. If they do flag YouTube videos about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, they should have updated their terms and conditions, and their rules about uploading content.

In the article, it also mentioned that there are a group of mass flaggers who might be behind this mess, especially for top crypto influencers out there. There are even cases that after appealing, YouTube reinstated their accounts because of false flagging.

What does this mean for crypto YouTubers like me? If I decide to move to another video sharing platform, I would prefer decentralised and censor-free type of platform.

What are your reactions to this one guys?

I don't think Youtube can really take this initiative on because it would really cause them a lot of users and money as well in the end. I would not move away from Youtube because they ban crypto related ads because i still visit there for some resourceful information. I think this is a great opportunity for any crypto project which is directed at creating a streaming platform like youtube for the crypto industry.
485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many big powers agains crypto on: December 25, 2019, 05:04:37 PM
I just read this article and it really startled me. Seems "the big boys" are not betting on the crypto horse and would hope to see it die out.
Guess that is no news but when social media platforms are applying this type of censorship it crosses some limits in my book.
https://news.bitcoin.com/speculation-abounds-regarding-youtubes-removal-of-crypto-content/
Is this the beginning for a new crypto exclusive youtube clone?
Oh trust me they don't want to do that lol. There are so many crypto streaming solutions that would really love to take over all the ads and money they are making every second. I would be very happy to seeing them pull this string because it's going to be a sure lose on their side. Well i invested into one streaming project called Destream and i would be glad if the entire cryptospace can move over there lol.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins or Utility Tokens? on: December 25, 2019, 04:55:58 PM
Most of the utility tokens that came up during the ICO/IEO season are not doing well. i would rather prefer investing into a coin with a use case which drives its liquidity within an established ecosystem. Some masternode coins are doing great and one project that i would encourage you all to keep an eye on is the Divi project. I think it might turn out to be something great in future.

488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Counted Or Estimate All Your Losses And.... on: December 24, 2019, 09:30:43 AM
Some people are losing $100 daily or $200 a week or $500 a week how about you
Have you counted or estimate all your losses and thought what all your losses could you buy, do you sometimes stop and think on all of this.
I'm not a big gambler but I estimate I could already buy a good class mountain bike with all my losses, how about you?
Nobody with the true spirit of gambling would ever make those analysis as this would only break your spirit and morale placing insane bets which can hit the jackpot at anytime. If you have chosen to be a gambler then you got to study the field in which you play and get to know it like you know the route to your own house because when you finally hit that golden jackpot someday all these pennies that you lost along the way would be forgotten. It's all going to be about feeding on lobsters on a yatch! Cool
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am meeting with an attorney, have you been damaged by wash trading on binance? on: December 22, 2019, 06:30:18 PM
I don't know where you are driving at with this case but mate this would not lead anywhere other than the trash house. So save yourself the time and move on with your life. Just learn how to execute trades on the market and don't forget that you don't mix feelings when trading lol.
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is This Why Bitcoin Suddenly Rebounded Yesterday? on: December 21, 2019, 07:09:47 AM
The rebounding of the price of bitcoin has no linkage to the cost of expenses incurred in running a mining rig. The market was oversold and people sold in panic when there was a deliberate dump in bitcoin. This made the price plunge that deep but this stabilize with time and that is why we have seen the gradual rise in bitcoin. Let's hope next year brings up some good returns of investment in bitcoin.
491  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-19] Heard of bitcoin's 'halving'? It's set to shake crypto markets ... on: December 20, 2019, 01:03:58 PM
And to think that this is published in Reuters. They should be hiring an expert in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency to check the facts and details before clicking publish.

Reuters is known to publish garbage just as much as other similar outlets do. It's all about efficiency, and when you know that most of their readers are considered dumb money, efficiency means that you can just release articles and "research" papers knowing that people will take it for granted right away.

Why do you think there is so much fake news? It's because the readers falling for that fake news are dumb, and let there be waaaay more dumb people than smart people. It's called news for the mass for a reason.
This is so true, these days most people just feed on whatever they hear from these crypto blog sites. They basically do a little bit of research about the information given and just heed to it. I don't blame though, researching and reading has become a pain in the butt to most people so they tend to follow blindly whatever is given to them.
492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin price pump to $20k dollars next year? on: December 20, 2019, 12:26:28 PM
You mean the halving.

If I were you I would stop expecting way too much just like before.
2017 is not the year of the halving it was July 2016 when it happened. So you cannot really connect the halving into when the bitcoin price will pump.
Just buy bitcoin. That is all you have to think about for now.
The cheaper the better. But when will you know when it is cheap? You decide.
That's right, he defintely did not connect his thoughts to previous bitcoin trends appropriately but did you know that the price of bitcoin after halving tend to see a good rise? This is why many people are assuming that the price may rise a bit though i doubt it will go that high.
493  Economy / Speculation / Re: ❄️ BITCOIN : winter is coming? by 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓬𝓴𝓿𝓼 𝓡. 𝓐𝓬𝓴𝓮𝓻𝓶𝓪𝓷𝓷 ❄️ on: December 18, 2019, 03:22:26 PM
This recent dump in the price of bitcoin has made everybody so skeptical about the price of bitcoin. I don't blame them though lol, they are probably the weak hands selling at this low price. This winter is just a quick manipulation of the market by whales who want to accumulate as much as they can before the next break out. Hold your bitcoins people we are yet to see a huge rise soon.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins delist and Bitcoin only on: December 18, 2019, 02:45:34 PM
Not that the governments dislike the use of altcoins or anything of that sort but the reality on the ground is that most altcoins turn out to be shit and scams in the long run. Also, i don't know the kind of altcoins that were being used back then but i guess coins like TRON, ETH are cool to use and have a very strong community too.
495  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Christmas Trading Challenge – Take part and win iPhone 11! on: December 16, 2019, 03:52:46 PM
Hey dude, if this is a giveaway then it think you should have opened this thread in the Bounties section okay. Anyway i would like to participate but does being verified member of the giveaway platform means performing KYC or just confirming your email? In addition, what's the committment that after this competition all the rewards are going to be given out because some promoters sometimes deceive their participants.
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In 2019, Students Demanded Blockchain Education. In 2020, It’s Coming on: December 15, 2019, 11:13:53 PM
I would not be surprised if some countries join in the train of offering blockchain courses or degree because whether you like it or not, the blockchain technology is a great tool with so much benefits to help curb the escalating rate of bribery and corruption. Blockchain technology needs to be exploied to the latter. In the meantime some industries i heard some universities across the globe do offer online blockchain courses as well.
497  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rally of $9,000 ain’t enough? on: December 15, 2019, 10:38:12 PM
Well i think he is just making his thoughts just known like anybody else but that does not really affect what will really happen to bitcoin as nobody knows. The market will always decide about that. However, it would be very gracious to sell of some bitcoins for this Christmas at a rate of $9K other than $7K Huh
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you use an anonymous payment system? on: December 15, 2019, 04:22:25 PM
Well if it is a newly developing project then you can forget it lol. First of all, it does not make much sense that the team would want to stay silent and this makes is very fishy i must be honest with you. Anyway, we already have bitcoin which is quite anonymous and absolutely when you use bitcoin mixers to perform your transactions. If you guys, really believe in your project so much then you need to come out in the open.
499  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-15] Bitcoin Prices in Venezuela Near $9,500 as BTC Demand Intensifies on: December 15, 2019, 03:09:24 PM
This is really insane but i guess the government can't do much about it either. Venezuela has been in peril  times for quite sometime now and i don't think this are going to get any better soon. But i don't get why someone would purchase bitcoin at such a high price when it is relatively cheaper on so many exchanges. I have quite a number of friends over there through the internet and they tell me how life is very difficult over there.
500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happened after UK general election on: December 15, 2019, 04:58:44 AM
The results of the United Kingdom's election could have only affected the stocks and exchange rates but i doubt that has any significant impact on bitcoin and the entire crypto market. I have read from several sites where some experienced crypto analysts are predicting another down fall to about $6.8K before we can see any major rise especially towards bitcoin halving.
