Peercoin and Bitcoin are probably my favorites.

Cryptsy USD markets have been steadily gaining volume. Should pass CampBX soon in the BTC/USD volume. Get verified today and join the fun!
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy Withdrawal Delays! on: August 06, 2014, 10:00:13 PM
This issue pops up from time to time. As far as the receiving the portion of your withdraw. Why this happens is as folks continue to mine and deposit very small inputs say 5 coins over and over again we build up a ton of small inputs. When say a bigger trader comes along and make one large withdraw. All of the tiny inputs have to be combined to make the large withdraw of say a million so that could be 200,000 inputs for that one transaction. Whats this do it typically hangs the wallet so we implemented a "fix" that will keep making your withdraw smaller until it sends. We also then get alerted and work on combining inputs internally so that we do not have the problem in the future (this takes a bit).

As far as delayed withdraws there are many reasons this can happen. Password resets are an automatic 24 hour delay. Something else in your account flagged it as suspicious Fraud prevention is a large portion of these.. You live in an OFAC nation... The list is actually quite large. We work with everyone that puts in a ticket on these issues and 99% are easily resolved. I have contacted the new forum member that started this post and he has yet to respond to me on this issue, also common with these threads.

Best course of action is to start a ticket and your issue will get handled.

edit: OP of the threads funds have been released. I should also mention that TOR though great for anonymity raises flags as its our goal to make sure the right person receives their coins.

how about implementing minimum-deposits and minimum trade-size?

We had some in the past but then we would just have some poor miner who would essentially loose his deposits because of a rule. And you cant prevent someone from sending the money some the input problem still exists.
504  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2 Deposits not posting to Cryptsy? on: August 06, 2014, 09:58:09 PM
The both just posted to my Cryptsy account at the exact same time. No explanation from them yet.

Wonder what happens when you are talking large amounts....I am beginning to have a bad taste in my mouth...

We rescanned the wallet so they likely posted right after.
505  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2 Deposits not posting to Cryptsy? on: August 06, 2014, 06:18:22 PM
Did you contact support? This can happen though its rare we just have to rescan the wallet for the deposit.

I actually explained it in some depth... I also mentioned that you should split that withdraw into a few smaller ones to avoid the issue or wait until we get inputs combined.

Ok. But its not 200,000 inputs were talking about 40ish.

You currently have ZERO pending withdraws which is your current issue. As far as number of inputs that was an example... so it could be deposits of .1 the issue is not apparent to a customer.

I would like to hear you address the rumors about how Cryptsy uses customer funds to play the market while it is profitable. How can you only release 1/2 of a customers funds if you in fact know that person is already who they said they are?

I would love to address it. Simply not true. I will say however I do not think its an industry standard practice of not doing that... As far as half the funds I explained that above twice now its automated its due to small inputs having to be combined into large outputs when the wallet hangs doing this the system cuts it until it sends. Crappy part is you have to resend again the remaining (preferably as a smaller group of withdraws). As far as knowing who that customer is well we only know who verified customers are if your not and your using a TOR node and will not implement 2FA for your own safety its suspect behavior. I would think the majority of customers would appreciate the efforts we put into making sure funds are secure.

I do honestly appreciate your efforts, please however understand my frustration. I was not expecting this process to become so tedious.
Understandably at times it can be tedious but its due to our security and fraud prevention which protects your account. The initial deposit took so long due to the refusal to implement security on your account... Typically and historically this would indicate you may not be the actual owner of the account.

.... Obviously he is an alien planted here so the world does not realize how wonderful bitcoin is and how it will propel us into the future. It would mess with their invasion plans.

514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Official] Cryptsy News **Trigger System added who needs a Bot!** on: July 31, 2014, 04:48:44 AM

Honestly I think the system needs revamping and we talk about what we can do to make it better. But everything we do requires changes, testing etc. So its never as fast as the community would like. Voting really make the top 3 and you will get added when the window opens. Most of the new coins are added due to volume on other exchanges and the sudden demand from customers to not want to change platforms to trade a new coin.

Understood,
So to make the top 3, that is 13121 * .0002 = 2.6242 btc,

Although even that doesn't seem a guarantee as I've seen Mediterraneancoin there forever, is that even still a thing  Huh

I'll just hope you guys decide to add my selections on there on your own until the system is revamped   Wink

Other factors like a flaky wallet can play a factor. Things the guys who review the wallet code see as a vulnerability can as well. Mostly little wallet issues that can delay it being added.

@BitJohn,

Ive complained about this in the trollbox to no avail.

What is the actual target for a coin to be added to Cryptsy via voting?

I support StealthCoin and Monero (Can you add to voting list), but am hesitant to buy XST votes unless I know I will get some attention from Cryptsy.

So because some exchanges add coins nearly instantly now we have struggled keeping up with the votes though recently we have gotten a few in since it seems like the mad coin rush additions are slowing down. Volume drives the marketplace after all. The voting list is still a part of the process and more coins will continue to be added from it as well in the near future.

Thanks for the response Smiley
How many votes in a week/month gets you interested in a coin?

Why not clean out the old "Crap" coins off the voting list that you're never gonna add? They are cluttering it up.

I m saying that again you have the chance to back cryptsy to No. 1 place regarding alt crypto exchanges after mintpals VRC "fraud".
All you need to do is to select proper coins before them.
Bittrex considering Aiden, coin is high on the mintpal voting list so proper timings are needed from your side.

I must say that with ALN you did amazing job, I m glad to see that something old school made nice success finally.
Talking about volume or voting list you will never add Ripple despite the fact that they are first on the list Smiley
We fully intend to add Ripple its not a cut and paste job its a full integration. We are working with some folks to make sure that implementation is done right. Messing it up can lead to disaster, delays, and other issues.

I am actually friends with Franko and I like Aiden personally just has not had the backing in volume or votes to get it in just yet. I do like it though.
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: EXCHANGE SCAMS? DO YOU THINK BITTREX, CRYPTSY AND OTHER EXCHANGE ARE CHEATING ? on: July 29, 2014, 11:56:15 AM
hey interesting thread. I also experience buyorders popping up suddenly at the exact moment of a dump. Maybe someone has an advantage of a few milliseconds there?

will cryptsy ever fix their negative-balance-bug? I think it is embarrassing for an exchange to even have it being possible the customer can have a negative balance.

Well here is what I wonder in the world of altcoins how can you ever not have a negative balance issue at times. Coins rollback and low hashrate chains sometimes after a customer sells them. More interestingly why don't other exchanges do this. My guess is either they don't realize they are slowly leaking rolled back coins or they are trying to eat the loss.

Rollbacks can occur from miniforks, hardforks, attacks etc they are a pretty regular occurrence. I guess if you cannot detect them then you might never know your short coins in your wallets. Multpool owners see it more than anyone.

Well then I'm glad no fraudulent accounts can be created on Cryptsy to manipulate the votes.

And since you listed this coin now on Cryptsy, maybe you could get in touch with the dev and let him/her know that Aliencoin needs a block explorer, needs a few nodes, needs an update to the code, needs some pools, and needs a website.

Well alt explorer typically adds every coin we carry so there is a good start.
