501  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CamUltras.com - [18+] Enjoy the best amateur webcam shows FREE! on: August 04, 2021, 08:07:46 PM
I enjoyed some videos, waiting for more free streams before making an account on the website. I am happy to see various options available to deposit and buy tokens, but prefer watching them free till I get entertained for free.  Wink
I am not a fan of camshows tbh, but this one caught my attention.
502  Economy / Speculation / Re: The power of Bitcoin HODLing on: August 04, 2021, 06:31:48 PM
Those who bought on July 2010 probably have sold their Btc when it was priced at $100, those who sold at $1,000 probably was considered as a strong hodler.  And those who bought Btc five years ago probably has sold when It reached a $19,000+ ATH in 2017.
So, I guess a lot of em would be learning the lesson then?

Not hodling means you don't trust Bitcoin even If it has been constantly increasing every year.

I bought 2013 and was dumb enough to not sell 2017 just like I was dumb enough to not sell at 64k Smiley

Who knows if your prolonged holding may pay you off something very large in number which even you have not thought of? You may call yourself dumb if you were in loss but you are already 39 times up because in 2013, btc reached only $1000 as its ath then.
No wait is smaller, no rewards are bigger.
Time is very costly and any rewards cannot justify your wait to achieve those rewards, and because it is in our nature, we will always be greedy to call even a grand success small as we will think that we deserved much more and better than that achievement.
503  Economy / Speculation / Do you agree with Binance's behavior? on: July 29, 2021, 08:21:47 PM

In the image above, that pump took place in futures markets on Binance's BTC-USDT perpetual pair on 26 Jul, 2021. You can check the spot charts that there was no $12k pump during when it pumped in futures. The volume at spot was also not so good, but that $12k futures candle had a 182k btc traded volume for that hour only. This cannot be any institution or a normal person's work, I smell something fishy here to attack the traders and decide the trend, change it and liquidate them to make quick money.
504  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market is not good on: July 29, 2021, 08:06:50 PM
<°°°°°°°>
That is the thing about the "emotions" around here. Why do people get upset so much over bitcoin falling, it suppose to fall time to time, it SHOULD fall sometimes because that is what the market always does, it is the thing that we should always count on, for it to go up and down.
Yes..a cryptocurrency market doesn't have a specific price, it's only novice that can be upset whenever bitcoin falls or depreciates to the initial ground, from what i observed cryptocurrency holders only make a profit whenever the price of cryptocurrencies get higher than the value they used to purchase it, so from this scenario getting upset or been unpleasant whenever bitcoin price dropped is not a criteria to get uplift or to recover the lapses of market, so i notice that for cryptocurrency to be interactive or be interested is due to rising and falling of it's price

Some experienced traders get happy too when bitcoin falls because either they accumulate it after shorting it and making good money, or they don't like bitcoin that high. I also thought btc would go down till 20k as the talks surrounding me were entirely bearish and many support areas were broken down which forced me to think that btc will be accumulated more near 20k and institutions will be the buyers, it couldn't happen though. Worst was when I saw Binance futures liquidating too many short positions in just one hour when the price went from $36k to $48k, a $12k move in futures but not on spot.
505  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance squeezes users on verification on: July 29, 2021, 07:21:49 PM
Don't you think it has something related to their recent issues with some countries who went behind Binance for some legal reasons? Even one of their huge banking partners took off their support after that. May be Binance is trying to exit scam or is it to let the users feel the burden of verification because Binance was tortured for it?
Whatsoever is the reason, but I am also shocked how can they stop a person from withdrawing his own money if he is not verified there? It is dictatorship to me.
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas Antonopoulos vs Adam Back on: July 29, 2021, 06:59:03 PM
they should all stop talking and work on something

in Adam's case, he has at least produced useful stuff in the past.

Andreas started here on bitcointalk, and was quite determined to become a "bitcoin celebrity" right from the start. he's never done anything useful except regurgitate other people's ideas using an "excited" tone of voice. grrrrrrreat work Andreas, really Roll Eyes

but to reiterate, I'd respect them both more if they were talking less and working on something

Wow, I am of a totally different opinion. Andreas Antonopoulos put an unbelievable amount of effort into bringing Bitcoin closer to the whole world in under stable words and phrases. He has had a major impact on building a global community from literally every country to support Bitcoin. Saying that he was aiming at becoming a celebrity is like accusing a great singer of giving concerts in order to become a celebrity. Antonopoulos is an outstanding thinker and explainer. We owe a lot to him for sure.

I think Carlton is right here, because one way or another, bitcoins have gained enough fame to add some shine to the personality of people who either start using or talk about it. Antonopaulos did a lot for bitcoins, but he can't put all those things apart from btc of which names were used by him. However, it's all I see about falling for Elon Musk or following Antonopaulos because netizens never go the same way all the time.
507  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin price Benchmark on: July 29, 2021, 09:55:11 AM
Bitcoins will not show any big move till November-December duo because these are the months when Bitcoin's volatility had been very high and it is already 30-40% up from its latest lows made. A $3k move in an hour was to liquidate shorts in a single take and bulls successfully scared the hell outta bears. Searches for Bitcoin and crypto on Google, however, have seen sharp decline after btc and other crypto began to fall.
508  Economy / Economics / Re: Will some companies like Amazon really 'store' Bitcoins? on: July 28, 2021, 12:58:06 PM
<<>>

If that happens, I don't think it is going to be harmful to Bitcoin. On the contrary, it boosts Bitcoin's purpose as a currency.

Bitcoins have never been a currency which is why this debate got fired up, because of its volatile nature bitcoin cannot be considered a currency but a tradable asset which can incur profits/losses based on when bought/when sold. This will not bring any good to Amazon nor Bitcoins if they are not going to hold it but either have an inbuilt exchange feature that allows their users to pay in btc but get sent to an exchange directly to be sold and send fiat back to Amazon.
509  Economy / Economics / Will some companies like Amazon really 'store' Bitcoins? on: July 27, 2021, 02:02:16 PM
I came through a post here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5351319.msg57557132#msg57557132

And it says that will Amazon adopt btc or not till specified date there.

A question struck my head.
Do such companies need it?
I am not against Amazon or any other big tech names, but as we understand it, Tesla and others have came in crypto to make profits by holding it. But companies like PayPal and Amazon settle millions of dollars on a daily basis sent to their vendors who sell products there successfully. If taken into consideration, then these companies accepting btc will be offering it to users just for their convenience but can't store btc for a long period of time, which means that much btc will be coming back to either exchanges or sold through OTC on a daily basis to settle their deals with vendors quick. Is such an adoption going to harm the overall value of bitcoins if sales will take place through big companies (not Tesla and all who are here for profit)?
510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Bitcoin Poll on: July 27, 2021, 01:54:06 PM
Very good question.
They will 100% sell their coins because their deals are in cash and they need to pay the vendors the exact values for their sold items, so I don't see it as an adoption but rather being used as an alternative to cash only. Your question rose more questions in my mind, and I am going to throw them here in a few moments.

And by the way, there must be a third option in the poll - 'May be'.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey agree to talk about bitcoin at an event in July on: July 22, 2021, 07:50:56 PM
Even after watching all this shit, I believe Elon is not hopping on bitcoin and he will keep poking his followers towards Dogecoin and it looks like he has a very huge portfolio in Dogecoins as he may have accumulated so much during the bear times and is shilling it now to go ultra-rich than ever. These hypocrites don't give a fuck to crypto and digitalization, all they want is money.
512  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race II - UFC Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: July 22, 2021, 07:30:16 PM
~snip~
UK version of Stake website: https://stake.co.uk/
Stake.com hasn't made any official announcement about the UK version yet, right? I want to know the differences between the global version and UK version of Stake. Maybe all game and betting events won't be available on UK version. However, Stake will legally accept bets from those places where it was restricted for having Curacao gaming license!

I think horse racing and other different types of betting which are highly appreciated in UK will be given emphasis on, once they release their UK version and there may not be more selections or alternatives available to them compared to global markets due to regulations' impact.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMM, what are liquidity pools, farms, $cake, $syrup, etc. on: July 22, 2021, 07:11:13 PM
Liquidity pools allow you to earn a single or native token of that project by staking only one token for the same, like BUSD, ETH, USDT and the native token itself and many more. While farming gives you the opportunity to do combined staking but it is prone to impermanent loss. Cake is the native token of pancakeswap which can help you earn more native tokens of another project if they tie up with pancakeswap. I don't know about syrup, so would skip defining it.
514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Winter Is Coming, Warns Experts on: July 14, 2021, 09:12:13 PM
We did not had a lot of institutions or institutional investors buying bitcoin, and the few that we had have been saying they are still holding their coins, I am not really sure this is the case of Elon as I doubt he would say the things he said about bitcoin while at the same time he held a huge amount of those coins, doing something like that will be foolish, so I think he actually sold his coins some time ago, but besides him it seems the other institutional investors are still holding or even bought more coins.

If we don't have a big number of institutions in crypto yet, that is because only bitcoin was being focused at and as btc is limited in number and with a very limited supply (not like Dogecoin), the number of institutions will also remain limited. About Elon, he's the clown of crypto, I personally admire all his achievements but what he did with crypto and specially bitcoin cannot be forgotten. He has some real people behind him with tons of cash in hands, ready to buy like hungry dogs and that is why he makes an impact on crypto.
515  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why they get it all wrong when trading. on: July 14, 2021, 07:54:32 PM
For the exchange point, I see many new traders are opting for Decentralised exchanges where they don't need to store their funds, but trade and keep the money in their wallet. A trader also does it all wrong if he doesn't know the trading fee structure, takes a bunch of trades and gives too much to the exchange in fees. Losing more on fees is also a loss which should be cut, for which only confident trades must be performed.
516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Past two months bitcoin journey on: July 14, 2021, 07:39:05 PM
Highly inspiring for those who say they don't have money to buy btc. People don't need a lot of money, in fact they have got 8 decimals available as Satoshi units to buy btc for their low portfolio if they can't afford a big chunk of btc. Applause to you for sharing such an inspirational story and give newbies a new way of looking towards investing in btc. For some good that we expect for our tomorrow, we must sacrifice something today.

518  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Winter Is Coming, Warns Experts on: July 06, 2021, 11:16:12 PM
Op, you are pretty correct here and I think that so many investors (both small and huge) are now considering to take out crypto from their investment portfolio because the ride from 20k to 65k and back to 28k increased fear among institutions too that their money on stake is under danger because there are some unethical forces that are trying hard to destroy this 'store of value' dilemma.
519  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why can a piece of news from the Chinese government affect the price of Bitcoin? on: July 06, 2021, 10:55:56 PM
China held a very big chunk of btc in total as a country, so anything coming from there used to shake the markets very often. They were alone the market makers, but after institutions took entries in crypto, China's level of impact is not as same as it was. While China is selling, institutions from the whole world are buying btc for cheap because of them.
520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who to Trust, Fiat Banks or BTC? on: July 06, 2021, 10:42:12 PM
If you want to put something fixed, choose banks because your fiat will remain of the same value 'except if the bank goes bankrupt'. Fiat will always give control in the hands of banks because you depend on their cash availability if the amount of fiat is higher.
Choose bitcoin over banks if you want top notch security for your funds but are ready to take the risks of high volatility that come as strings attached with it. Bitcoin gives you complete control of your finance if you choose non-custodial wallets and keep your private keys safe.
