501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 22, 2023, 01:37:44 PM
Looks like the fourth day is going to be a wash out in the Ashes. It’s raining heavily, doesn’t look like we will get much, if any play today. England need 6 wickets with two days to get them. Hopefully the weather clears up and they can level the series tomorrow.

The rain delay can be a blessing in disguise for Australia. The way things are going right now Australia is in big trouble. They have already lost four wickets. Australia is still trailing by 162.  With six wickets in hand, it does not seem like Australia will be able to do a whole lot to give England a good target. It is going to be great for Australia if the fourth day absolutely washes out. Because if that happens, Australia can start playing on the fifth day and just play out the whole day. The equation is simple. If Australia has to play in the fourth day, they will be in trouble.

On the hand England would hope that the rain stops and they can resume playing. They currently have the upper hand in this test match. Winning it would give them a genuine chance of winning the Ashes series. However if this match ends in a draw Englands best outcome would be to draw the series.

It looks like an unlucky day for England team. Already its time for the second session of the day. If this continues, the day will end up without play. Today the entire match result could've come as Australia have already lost 4 wickets scoring 113 runs. If the match have started on-time, by now Australia could've lost few more wickets.

England have good score and the weather change might be favourable to take quick wickets. Anyhow none were able to make changes against the nature, so the choice for England is only to accept and do the best if nature permits.

End of Day 03, Australia are 162 runs behind and they have only left with 6 wickets. Since there are two days left in the match (if there is no rain), no one can snatch the victory from the England team at Manchester.

Some people especially Australian fans may argue that anything can happen in cricket and do not lose hope until the last wicket for the Australian had gone down, but i would say that match is in such an awkward situation for the Aussies that even the miracle won't even save them.
It is a fairy story comeback by England after loosing the first two matches and with Australia still behind by 162 runs and 6 wickets in hand it is an impossible task to save this match as Steven Smith is already back in the pavilion and it is a matter time that England win the match and level the series which was not expected after seeing the first two matches.
Even the first two test matches were supposed to be winning match for England, small mistakes done while declaring the match costed England to lose the first match. In the second match the tiresome effort of Ben Stokes scoring 155 runs brought the match close to winning situation and finally lost the match by 43 runs. With the ongoing test match winning, the series gets levelled. This makes the Ashes Series 5th test match more interesting.

We may be seeing Bangladesh as the second team in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup final. Bangladesh is batting to win against India in the second semi-final match. So far Bangladesh need 127 runs to win. That is, if Bangladesh can score only 127 runs, then they will face Pakistan in the final match. So far Bangladesh have got nine valuable wickets so winning this match is not a difficult task for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh A team lost two quick wickets in the last two overs. Both openers played well and gave a flying start to the team. They have enough wickets in hand, and they have enough overs as well. All they have to do is be patient and keep rotating the strikes. It's not a huge target for them. Yes, the Bangladesh bowler did very well.

I don't know if anyone noticed or not, there will be a match between Bangladesh and India, and there won't be any controversy with umpires; this will not happen anymore. Once again, some controversial decisions came from umpires in the first innings. Hopefully Bangladesh will be able to win the match.
Everyone had the same thought of Bangladesh A team winning the match. Things went in favour of India A team as the spinners dominated after the 100 runs from Bangladesh A. The final match is between Pakistan A and India A on 23rd. For Bangladesh the opening partnership was really awesome, but they weren't able to reach the target of 212 runs. Sindhu had an awesome 5 wicket haul that was game changing. In between there were more fielding mistakes and drops, but those weren't used well by the Bangladesh A team.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: July 21, 2023, 09:42:49 AM
In the last World Cup Costa Rica and Spain drew 1 goal.
I believe that today Spain is a little stronger, even so it shouldn't be an easy game.
The world cup just started, but there has been a lot of surprises so far for everyone who has been watching. From the first game that New Zealand women made a new record and won a game that they were seen as the loosing team, to Nigerian women securing a draw against Canadian women who had the most possession, were the Olympic champions, had a penalty that they failed to utilize, so we may also see Costa Rica surprise us too and win against Spain who look like the favorite for the game.

I am not surprised by all these surprise results for the single reason we are talking about female football here and the games here precipitate quite quickly, loads of goals are scored which makes this tournament not the best to watch and I rarely see any women football match.I don't to sound like an extremist or masochist but I believe soccer is a game for men only as they play much better than women and we all respect them when we see for example the World Cup or Champions League games.Sure the FIFA women world cup have their audience but I believe to be much lower than men World Cup.
Thats common to see low number of audience watching sports played by Women. Soccer isn't an exception, but things are getting better over time. It is the physique and the stamina that makes sports played by men to be very interesting. Most of us don't watch women's matches. Recently after watching cricket matches played by Women I've started to watch this season's FIFA played by Women. Match between Spain and Costa Rica have got ended and Spain have made 3 goals.
505  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the difference between banks and big whales in crypto? on: July 20, 2023, 11:58:28 PM
Banks were like a crowdfund where the banks collect the money of people and have control over it. In other terms the banks do business with people's money and generate revenue.

With big whales on the crypto market, with the big holdings in their wallet they try to have control over the market. This is possible to some extent, beyond that the market doesn't react. Here the manipulation happens, but the control is very limited as common holders have realised the market and doesn't react to the panic statements out of the whales.
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Women's Cricket Prediction & Discussion - T20 & ODI on: July 20, 2023, 11:54:46 PM
After the exceptional win by Bangladesh women during the first ODI, the second match will be played today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium at Mirpur. Indian women already got a shock treatment during the second T20I, but they refused to learn from their mistakes. As a result they have lost two consecutive matches now - third T20I and first ODI. Bangladesh women just need to defeat India in one out of the remaining two matches to win the series. And if they can do that, it is going to be huge for Bangladeshi women's cricket.
In the second ODI India women team have played in a much responsible manner scoring 228 runs with Jemimah Rodrigues being the star player of the match scoring 86 runs and 4 wickets. Bangladesh weren't able to chase the target and ended the innings for 120 runs. The third match is going to be interesting as Bangladesh will try to win the series. India could've taken the final match easier, but the loss of first match keeps them on the fearful state.
507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kuwait Bans Bitcoin and crypto payments, investement and mining on: July 20, 2023, 11:47:50 PM
Indeed, it took me by surprise. When I came across the news, I noticed that Bitcoin had not reacted as expected. Despite the negative news, there was no significant price drop, which left me astonished. I'm beginning to doubt whether a complete crypto ban is truly feasible. It appears that the authorities are primarily targeting organizations involved in crypto businesses rather than trying to ban decentralized cryptocurrencies outright. The fact is, banning decentralized cryptocurrencies is practically impossible. People will always find ways to utilize them, either through peer-to-peer exchanges or on the black market.
The country that have got something around 4.5 million population doesn't make big impact on the market of bitcoin. In the 4.5 million how many would be involved into crypto business. These are out of fear that their currency value would drop and loss its importance. To agree the fear factor the government have described about money laundering and other activities as the reason for the ban. In the past many countries have taken the decision to ban and lifted the ban after year understanding the goodness and need. So, this ban were all temporary. People will find ways in the black market or move to the near country to use it.
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: July 19, 2023, 03:48:14 AM
When I get pissed off continuously what I'll do, my mind will think of cheating. This is common with human beings, and the reality is different. We won't be able to cheat the platform, but when we keep losing it looks like we're being cheated. If you go request support you'll be directed to cross check the seed and find it fair. Now what is more, with sports betting if you get some fixed matches you can make a winning. Every human mind thinks it is easy to win out of gambling, and later understand the difficulty where the mind thinks about cheating and other plans which isn't possible. Roll Eyes This is all about the casinos and not about the Gambling Machines.
509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 19, 2023, 03:38:27 AM
I have never seen a player like Shakib Al Hasan before. Shakib Al Hasan is a great hero in Bangladesh team. Shakib Al Hasan is good in bowling as well as he performs well in batting. Bangladesh team is much ahead by having an all rounder like Shakib Al Hasan. If Bangladesh team had some more players like Shakib Al Hasan then Bangladesh team would have played much better than all the teams. Bangladesh can do well with the interest to play among the players of Bangladesh team.

Well.. there is no doubt that Shakib al Hasan has been the backbone of Bangladesh cricket for more than one decade now. Manytimes he acted like a one man army to rescue the team from difficult situations. But then, the relationship between Shakib and the BCB management have been stormy. I don't know who is to blame, but the infighting has prevented Shakib from performing well at international level. Anyway, he is 36 years now and is close to retirement age. And Bangladesh has failed to find a suitable replacement for him so far.
Most of the young players of Bangladesh might've got inspired by him. As we say Tendulkar as the God of cricket, Shakib Al Hasan is a person who had to be praised for what he had done for the Bangladesh cricket. There'll be issues between the players and the cricket board. His ban for the reason of making deal with a gambling firm have received warnings earlier. As said by @Sithara007 here we can't blame anyone. He's near his retirement, before retiring he needs to be given opportunity in all formats of cricket.
510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gain more fans than Bitcoin? on: July 18, 2023, 11:59:54 PM
Ease of winning money this is what reach everyone's mind when they hear the term gambling. The reality will be understood only when they start exploring as well as experimenting. Few get lucky, but the majority end up losing huge funds. Even the person who have the mentality to hold and experience good profit in the long term prefer gambling to increase the holding. This initially works and when greed accompanies it ends there with nothing left to hold for the bullish market.

OTT platforms were not interested in broadcasting the match, and therefore the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) streamed it live on their YouTube channel. I checked their channel, and the match is still there:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QmzROl98i8
Thank you for sharing this, i did not anticipate this one streaming in Youtube. Usually Fancode usually broadcast all the matches that are not mainstream, some high profile women's matches will be broadcasted usually by SonyLIV and not even Jio wanted to broadcast these matches which was disappointing.

England produced another outstanding performance, back to back centuries from Nat Sciver Brunt took England to a series win, tomorrow we have yet another India, Bangladesh match and i do not have the confidence to place a bet on India with their terrible performance in the first ODI and last T20 match.
The performance from India women is something completely unexpected. From the second T20 onwards things were getting bad. It looks like they're over confident and the same have paid them back. Luckily India women won the second T20 and won the series, if not they could've lost the series as the third T20 performance had no improvement. The same is getting continued with the ODI series. Lets see whether India women can make a comeback in today's match.
512  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - how low will we go in 2023? on: July 17, 2023, 11:59:25 PM

It seems that we cannot see the bottom price of bitcoin in 2023, because the current price of bitcoin is still at $ 30k and can still be considered bullish,
so if we wait for a dump, of course we have to wait for bad news, I don't know whether $ 16k is bottom bitcoin or no,
what is clear is that we have to prepare if the bitcoin price dumps in the rest of this year.
Actually the price of Bitcoin we are having now, i believe that price of bitcoins is moving well and it's appreciate beyond some investor imagination, but that should not make us to come in conclusion that Bitcoin price since it has started to kick off to some valuable amount that means it can't retrace, the market of Bitcoin can retrace but the problem is that many people just meet the small greed color of bitcoins in market and they will believe that Bitcoin price will continue to move up. So the market is unexpect.
For a long time there is no big news as that of the one we heard years back with the adoption of bitcoin from El Salvador. The market needs to be kept active with those kind of positive news coming from different parts of the world. During the same time period there were more institutional investors into the market. Further there is no big player entry. Such things happening around will boost the price and not exceeding $45k
513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: July 17, 2023, 11:44:19 PM
I dont like to see so much countries making one World Cup, but also i dont like when the selected country is a non footb all one, or a non so good country to explore/travel. The last one on Qatar was an clear example, the World CUp was made in a very tiny country with not football tradition , and only backed by the power of money.
Already FIFA is a corrupt organisation. Now thinking about it doesn't gonna make things better. I don't know how it is unfair to choose a non football country. To me it is a great decision to prioritise non football nation, because these huge events will increase the involvement of people into the particular sports. Already football is played around, and something similar will make it better. The power of money is the key rule to get the hosting rights. However without proper infrastructure those countries could've never been chosen.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympic Games, but doping is allowed?! on: July 17, 2023, 11:39:22 PM
I hope whoever comes up with these competitions understands that the main problem with doping is not that it is cheating, but that it is dangerous for athletes in terms of survival (as well as going beyond their normal capabilities, by the way). It is unlikely that anyone will be interested in watching a run if, say, a couple of athletes out of a thousand (I take a very modest figure - in fact it can be much more) die right on the treadmill every year. In general, I do not think that in any adequate jurisdiction this will be allowed.

Performance enhancing drug will always pose some risks to the users body and I don't see any reasons why this kind of event should be pursued because one day they will feel that they are the strongest man or athlete in the world but afterwards, the effect is unbearable as fatigue and stress will eventually catch up with them which led to a few days rests because the body will badly need it. Some are lucky to be alive to tell their own story but to some who are unfortunate enough to survive, I hope they will be a lesson for the athletes who wanted to do the same thing.

Yes, doping is a deadly risk. As far as I know, in modern sports, the highest mortality rate among professional athletes is precisely in those sports where doping is more or less condescending. And I think that many will be surprised what kind of sports they are: for example, wrestling. It would seem that there could be something dangerous in "theatrical" battles? But the problem is that actors use doping to build muscle mass and keep in shape and it kills them.
The real spirit of sports lies in the stamina of the player. When they were allowed to use dope and other drugs, automatically the performance will be much on the drugs support and nothing comes out of the player. These kind of decisions were completely dangerous and the same could be a big blow in the upcoming generation's sporting life. Already from the very small age kids have begun to consume drugs and now this will make it much easier for them.
515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be patient and you will be there soon. on: July 17, 2023, 10:22:36 PM
We've got this idea and hoping that Bitcoin will soar high again. Most of us are looking forwards to seeing the price of Bitcoin reach $100k, in fact, many speculations that it was possible and so some people had choose to hold waiting for the moment. Well, maybe I was not that kind of holder nor I can't say that I was impatient but for me, I hold for some reason, not just to wait for that price to come. If ever the price will reach $75k, I will sell them right away because it was indeed a great opportunity for me, as we can't assure what will happen next. Buying at $30k and then selling at $75k, I doubled the price already which is enough for me.
Having patience is always good, but we should have some target as we don't know to what extent the market will be bullish. Bitcoin to reach $100k is really possible and this prediction is found since the days of previous halving. Lets see whether this could happen with the upcoming halving. For long term investor it is a must to have patience. To me the holding isn't that big to experience a massive change when the price reach $100k+ and for the same when I was in need I prefer selling it unlike the price.
516  Economy / Economics / Re: Always ask for POD form from your bank on: July 17, 2023, 10:03:26 PM
I have used this during the death of my father in law. He had his pension account and to receive the pension after his death we were requested to fill the form along with the legal heir certificate. Accordingly the legal heir to receive the pension after my father in law's death is my mother in law. Her bank details have been updated and she receives the pension. Much needed information shared by OP. I used this service back in the year 2020.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: July 17, 2023, 09:32:12 PM
It is true that we as good human beings also need some fun, but sometimes it is difficult because many do not know healthy fun and that includes being able to control emotions and performing many functions, including putting everything on a scale, not go crazy, and control impulses above all, when we play we have many impulses and that is what leads us to make bad decisions.

If we had the coldness of a robot to manage our own emotions, we would be very advanced beings and with many things that we can achieve, but it is difficult, very difficult to control emotions, and even though it is something we can do ourselves, we get into our minds that we are invincible when we play and that is when we lose the most money.
Yeah, but sadly we aren't robots capable of controlling our emotions. I believe it's quite hard for a human being to achieve complete control over their emotions. Quitting gambling can be an extremely difficult decision for someone who has been gambling for years, but it may not be as hard for someone who only gambles casually and in moderation. To be honest, I don't plan to give up gambling because it brings me joy and I genuinely enjoy doing it with my friends from time to time. It never negatively affects me because I know how to control myself and rarely exceed my limits. Even when I do, I don't regret it.
When we experience loss we'll decide not to gamble anymore, soon after that our mind will think why don't we just wager a little. We'll experience little win and increase the capital. Now we start to gamble regularly and at some point we don't have control and want to make specific amount out of gambling. We run behind the target and in between we won't be able to achieve it. Our mind doesn't accept it and we will be with positive thoughts and borrow to gamble. Now the risk is big and this continues, so when you prefer to stop gambling you should not think of it anymore.
518  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 17, 2023, 09:26:19 PM
Countries were struggling out of inflation. In my country people doesn't want apples, but everyone are in need of tomatoes. In recent weeks the price of tomatoes have levelled the price of apple. How good is this, because tomatoes will be used regularly whereas very few prefer to take apple finding it to be expensive. This is how the inflation and surely the food inflation is at its peak and we can't just pass on limiting our spending for food. Governments need to take necessary measures, but they weren't able to do it and waiting to increase the productivity.
519  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin What is the probability of 60 K+ again? on: July 16, 2023, 11:20:52 PM
$60k+ will happen, but when this gonna take place can't be predicted. If the prediction of the bitcoin's ath is possible, then it is for sure that bitcoin will lose its importance. The success is the volatility and the unpredictability. Even during the previous ath we weren't able to predict precisely, there were more predictions that bitcoin will grow high and random predictions of $100k+ and so on. In reality very few expected the predicted growth whereas most of the people were expecting something around $50k and the growth happened good. So, we can just go with random predictions and the outcome depends upon various factors.
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What attracted you to gambling?Share your experience whether good/bad. on: July 16, 2023, 11:12:15 PM
A roommate of mine used to spend on sports betting. He used to make better predictions and win good sum of money and spend lavishly. This got me interested towards sports betting, and I'm kind of person who doesn't want to place bets on the opponent when my favourite team is playing. For this reason I prefer spending only on matches in which it is something assured with very low odds of winning. Until I was into sports betting everything is good, things started to collapse once after my entry into casino games.
