501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Determining A ShitCoin on: October 31, 2018, 09:34:00 AM
as a rule of thumb i consider all the ICO tokens as shitcoins.
other than that any altcoin that is forked from another coin and is not changing much is a shitcoin, specially those forks that are considered airdrops too like the forks of bitcoin including bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold,... but also other forks that start from scratch. if they use the same name as the original project then they are surely a shitcoin.

and oppositely if a project is original not a fork, there is a good chance it is a good project.
502  Economy / Speculation / Re: The collective forecast of the price of Bitcoin on January 1, 2019 on: October 31, 2018, 09:14:54 AM
@Lucius - Those predictions seem ridiculous, especially the $150,000 per coin one but you know what, as a bitcoin HODLER obviously I’d LOVE any of those 3 predictions you posted to come true. Even the $15,000 one would be amazing right now Smiley

$15000 is nothing really specially since this is a price that was reached and passed not so long ago. and even psychologically speaking it would be easily possible to reach it.
apart from that, $15k can be considered a small rise after this gigantic drop of nearly 70% which has brought bitcoin to an under priced place.
503  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins volitily predictions when it has reached 21 million made on: October 31, 2018, 09:04:06 AM
after 100+ years bitcoin is either long dead and gone or it is one of the strongest currencies on the face of the earth in which case there is not much of a volatility by that time and price will be the most stable all over the world because bitcoin is the only currency that is global and doesn't belong to one country alone.
504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Court Rules in Favor of Bitcoin, Calls Crypto Transactions Legal on: October 31, 2018, 08:56:34 AM
I was quite surprised to read this news because we all know that the Chinese has made its U-turn against Bitcoin since last year.

i wouldn't call this exactly a U-turn because the Chinese "government" has never been on the opposite of this current position to now want to change it.
think about it, what did they do? they closed exchanges that were shady! that is all. the news however told a different story than the actions the government took. such as saying China banned bitcoin!!!
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Good News And The Chart on: October 31, 2018, 08:47:32 AM
it is only a matter of time before the breakout happens.
right now the whale accumulators are not yet satisfied with their bags that they are filling with bitcoin so the price can not go up. we either need them to be satisfied or we need the total aggregated upward forces to start the rise.
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is neither money nor asset nor payments system, but a mere record of... on: October 31, 2018, 08:42:23 AM
now you are just showing your desperation in the market regarding the price, specially since you copy pasted the same bullshit in another topic with the title Don't buy Bitcoin because it won't be fine.
it is really sad how some people don't know how to make profit and have to succumb to these methods Cheesy
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is there any centralized coin that accepts it is centralized? on: October 30, 2018, 10:33:04 AM
we all know about the centralized coins that are always pretending they are decentralized. for example XRP is the most centralized coin of all times but every time they advertise it they claim it is not. the same with a lot of others.

so i was wondering if there is a centralized altcoin that accepts it is centralized and is transparent about it?
i am interesting in knowing how successful a centralized but transparent altcoin can be compared to a centralized but lying altcoin.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: More exchanges then new traders on: October 30, 2018, 10:20:04 AM
this is also another form of supply and demand.
in this case supply is the exchanges that are offering trading services and the demand is traders who are looking for a place to trade.
since the demand has been increasing due to the massive pumps and the huge dumps that came afterwards, there is a lack of supply or exchanges for all of these users to use. so there is an increased number of exchanges.

additionally it is because of the money that exchanges can earn from traders...
509  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at Yuletide on: October 30, 2018, 10:12:43 AM
If anything, had I ever earned bonuses, I'd be buying more Bitcoin, instead of selling. More Bitcoiners outside Western Europe and North America too, who perhaps don't spend as much this particular season?

exactly this. i think OP is only speculating not explaining what HE is about to do. and this seems to be a common speculation which is always proven  wrong but they keep repeating it next time.
the fact is people get bonuses and use that to to their purchases and if they are left with additional money they will invest in it bitcoin not the other way around.
510  Economy / Speculation / Re: medium-term support Bitcoin on: October 30, 2018, 09:46:59 AM
that doesn't make any sense! why would the price drop because it is stable?!!!!
if anything the price should rise up because it is currently stable. in other words right now this current state looks more like an accumulation rather than anything else, specially since the volume is huge! and as accumulations go, they always lead to a rise.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FAILED ICO - FAILED BOUNTIES on: October 29, 2018, 09:56:04 AM
all the ICOs are failures even the ones that took place last year. the only difference is that last year there as a fever going on which you can call "ICO mania" which meant a lot more people were investing in them and losing money but that fever like any other fever is cured now and people aren't trusting ICOs anymore. which is why they are failing much faster.
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STRATEGY?? on: October 29, 2018, 09:39:18 AM
i don't know about what makes sense generally but what makes sense to me is the strategy that i have always been using. and it is not restricted to the current dumps but it can work with any market state that you see in the altcoins.
this strategy is that i never stick around in one market for long. i go in while they are pumping and make my profit. that way i reduce my risks and then i make my exit. this way i never see the dumping side of altcoins.
513  Economy / Speculation / Re: guess the price before 12december BAKKT ([btc]GAME[btc]) on: October 29, 2018, 09:19:30 AM
this time it seems like every user choose a different $100 range and selected their predicted price in that range Cheesy
every one of these ranges has at least 2 users it in, from $6400 to $14000.
such diversity... much spread...
514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is about to collapse this week on: October 29, 2018, 08:58:49 AM
... spreading this fear
Please don't spread the fear in this forum ....

i disagree because a comment like this on this forum is not going to change anything so it is not really "spreading fear". and OP is just wasting his time if that was really his intentions.

ps. trading volume is still in millions of dollars on each bitcoin exchange!
515  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Please Buy a Hardware Wallet on: October 29, 2018, 08:51:48 AM
It is a good advice  for us to avoid being hackers , Many people complain that they lost lost of money because of hacker , so we use hardware wallet to protect  ourselves

people always lose money because of their own carelessness not because of hackers,... and in that case usage of hardware wallets may not even save their asses.
for example you can easily lose the recovery phrase aka the seed to your hardware wallet and lose your money with it.
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Masternode coins a good thing or bad? on: October 28, 2018, 10:43:43 AM
it is not that easy to brand certain things as good or bad.

for instance in case of masternode coins i would say it depends on your views of the cryptocurrencies and how they should really be like. for example if you don't care about centralization and a master node having a lot of power in determining the future of the coin and also if you don't care about your transactions being tracked and possibly even censored if the masternode wanted,... then it is a good thing. but if you care about all that and you want a better decentralized model then no they are the worst thing.
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Rebound on: October 28, 2018, 10:23:11 AM
with the 70% dump that ethereum had, people are now finally becoming scared of it and they are trying to stay away from investing in this token. and this has opened up a big space for a lot of other competing tokens to come in and take the market by surprise. there are a couple of them that have been giving good returns too which are taking the money from ETH to their own markets.
518  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin ATM started in India despite RBI restrictions. on: October 28, 2018, 10:04:15 AM
the person (company) who started this ATM business in India was simply trying to avoid the restrictions and also use this situation with Indian banks to make some money by providing a very needed service in India for people to be able to buy bitcoin.
which is why he was blinded by greed and forgot to think about legal precautions of installing an ATM without a license so he was arrested Cheesy
519  Economy / Speculation / Re: guess the price before 12december BAKKT ([btc]GAME[btc]) on: October 28, 2018, 09:24:23 AM
i haven't had any luck in the previous speculations. lets try this one and see how that can work out for me.

i am going to low ball it and say $7500

$22700

Everyone is crazy, not quite understanding how the price can skyrocket so much, in such a short time. But this is how it works, when demand increases the price goes to the moon.

last time such big rise happened because we were already on the rise and the market was already warm. now for the rise to begin, market has to wake up then warm up and then reach that momentum and that takes time.
that price would have been possible if bitcoin was a pump and dump altcoin.
520  Economy / Speculation / Re: All-Time-High will happen again after Bitcoin Halving on 2020? on: October 28, 2018, 09:18:02 AM
all you can say is "maybe" because what you said here is only a possibility. although the figures you mentioned here are wrong but even if they were true that didn't mean they should be repeated.
in this case we don't have any logical reason to convince us that the bear market would last more than 3 years! these days there is a lot of attention being given to bitcoin and it is growing every day. it is more possible to assume the rise is going to happen much sooner than to think it will take that long.
