my fiance and I both now own shares in this and ASICMINER-PT, we bought before the price went past 2 btc Smiley
Ive explained to her the risks etc and she feels confident enough to take few out of her stockpile and invest/gamble.

Hopefully the start of something great for her and I, now mining via proxy with regular email notified payouts (she will love that).

Can you show previous bets, timestamps and txids please.

Done: https://apopheniabtc.com/txs.php

Of course it will only show transactions that happen after today. The older ones are protected by the privacy policy. The new PP states that data related to bitcoin transactions and paybacks are public data.

Also I dont see what prevents the site from collecting their own pots once big enough as you would already know the answer.
Unfortunately there is nothing that can stop me from doing this. The pictures have to get into the system by a human (since they are unique pictures that cannot be found on the internet to avoid cheating with TinEye etc) so some human WILL ALWAYS know what pictures are in the system. Even if we had a system that you input pictures in batches of one hundred pictures each and then they are selected randomly, the human that inputs the batches would have a big advantage because he would be able to recognize the pictures much earlier than other players. Additionally he would know the exact answers. This has already been discussed a bit in previous posts in this thread, you may take a look if you are interested. To cut a long story, I can't think of any way to make this game provably fair. Of course this is not the first game that you have to trust the owner before you play. People have been investing time to go on TV games based on knowledge, meaning they trust that the TV channel will not cheat.

Well props for coming right out on that one Smiley
I thought as much, still nothing that good service history with happy players wont compensate for (raffles have the same issue usually).

Best of luck, love the idea and the picture effect is quite cool, looks like those "ghost caught on camera" picturs you see Smiley

so not just a troll but a racist troll, oh well - comment reported and back on ignore.

Mem, thank you for changing the SatoshiDice listing to the above. It is fair and reasonable. I appreciate it.

Thanks Erik, again sorry for letting my emotions take the lead in my decision making which lead to this unpleasant start to a boycott.
My principles got the better me, I was arbitrarily holding you to my own values without fair context and lashed out viscously and needlessly.

In a free market such as bitcoin we often find ourselves doing business with individuals or corporations which we hold sever ideological differences with and by this I mean micera directly of MPEx not and not SDICE or any associated individuals.

I do appreciate "voting with your wallet" and failed to appreciate others position more. Businesses also vote with their wallet OR simply do business for business sake and dont care for the individuals behind the companies they deal with. A business does need to strive to succeed (profit) and has to weigh their own pro's and cons with profit, growth and shareholders in mind.

My true regret in this situation is looking back, GLBSE would have been a disaster were you to use them as a stock platform and I see that perhaps you had little to no other choice in platforms for making an IPO.

I do hope micera comes to appreciate the damage using the slur the way he does still causes damage to a racial group. What many fail to appreciate is that using racial slurs in a derogatory sense even when not directed at said racial group still tars them in a negative context. Its something I did not appreciate myself when younger due to my own ignorance.

It's nice to see OKPay is supporting Bitcoin again, but they're take a grisly 6% commission…

"up to 6%" in my recent use the highest Ive been charged is 2.5% YMMV

Top of my review list:

PLAYTIN - opps, another I forgot Smiley.

http://blockend.net/ - Site operator has been in contact and very receptive to feedback.

http://betoneurovision.com - not sure how this can be vetted without the some kind of escrow.

http://www.casinobit.net/ - love the idea, just need to cash up my bitcoin-qt wallet with some funds and test Smiley

satoshicircle - reviewing javascript and working with operator to make it easier for others to verify results.

Any chance you could review our casino SatoshiBet.com ? Thanks in advance!

I would like to propose adding: Bitcoinslots.co to the list as well.

Site: http://www.Bitcoinslots.co/?bct
Game Type: Casino Slots
  • Progressive Jackpot Pool - We add to the pool to increase the bonus. Increase your chances of winning by donating more of your winnings from every spin
  • Small minimum bet
  • Proof of hash on every spin. You pick when to stop the wheel.
  • Withdraw after 2 confirmations

Thank you

Welcome To the list (WIP).

Frankly, you appear to be stating that this will no longer be a list of sites where you can get a fair wager, but instead, will be a list of people you like and don't like for personal reasons.  That seriously degrades its value as a resource.

wrong, please read this post here:

Has someone made a spreadsheet for these games showing increased price vs probability of failure ?
Seems like it would be interesting.

100% draws a lot of eyes Tongue

in 20 turns the bit pimp will be worth 100k for anyone willing to throw that much btc away ... and there is an 80% chance that it will not have been reset

in short, the vast majority of the time the pimp will get timed out

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AknBnFOyxhcRdHJDbEN2STJGSFFrUmR6MmFEVjNCc3c&usp=sharing

Its interesting, due to the time limit it would never get high I guess.
514  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinSlots.co - Progressive Jackpot, Instant deposit and play on: May 13, 2013, 12:22:38 PM
Here is the spin randomizing code:

Code:
var n1 = getRandInt(0,80);
            var n2 = getRandInt(0,80);
            var n3 = getRandInt(0,80);
            var j;
            for (j =0;j<=n1; j++){
                spinOnce(Wheel1);
            }
            for (j =0;j<=n2; j++){
                spinOnce(Wheel2);
            }
            for (j =0;j<=n3; j++){
                spinOnce(Wheel3);
            }

            var hashString = "["+Wheel1[1].toString()+","+Wheel2[1].toString()+","+Wheel3[1].toString()+"]-";
            var secret =  crypto.createHash('sha1');
            secretHash  = secret.update(###CUT_FOR_SECURITY_REASONS###);
            secretHash  = secret.digest('hex');

            var shasum = crypto.createHash('sha1');

            currentHash = shasum.update(hashString+secretHash);
            currentHash = shasum.digest('hex');

            srv.broadcast('hashUpdate', ["hashUpdate", [currentHash] ], playingUsers);

Hello, Im not quite sure what code Im looking at here, is it python / php ? I really only know perl and c.

I see n1,2,3 getting their random vars but Im not seeing them hashed, instead I see:
Wheel1[1].toString()

I assume spinOnce is a sub that rotates to the next item on the wheel, if so do you have a game map showing how each wheel maps to the random numbers 1-88 ?

Just had a quick look on your site, could use a little guide on how players can verify their own results - it helps with confidence.
Nice clean site design Smiley

Update on my gambling venture: Since last summer (or possibly in 2011,I can't fully recall) I've had to make a difficult choice of shutting down my entire gambling venture due to a lack of interest and unworkable requirements (for me as I don't understand SHA or any of that stuff) placed on me.I thought that it's fair to just close it down and move on with my life as a filmmaker who wants to get in the TV industry.I only say this to keep you updated mem.

Lesson is leave gambling in BTC to people who have time to burn with all this crypto stuff.Time is a luxury I simply can't afford now.

It was nice meeting some interesting people during the time my gambling venture was open (Dream Islands Games and the lotteries).The website and all threads should be closed (or locked by now).Mem should also remove all references of my gambling threads to do with Dream Islands games and it's website as they're not used anymore.

I have also restarted the lottery on my Bitmit page as it gives people escrow (addresses concerns about reliability of games).For those who are interested in this simplified venture,look for Film2240 for listing and search the lotteries I run.Thanks for making my time on here interesting guys Smiley

When revising my list for v2 I noticed yours was down, I wish you the best of luck in your next venture.
517  Economy / Gambling / Re: mem's BITCOIN GAMBLING LIST on: May 13, 2013, 12:05:21 PM
You have something to hide, my friend?

Nothing, my antagonism started when you lied, summed up here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=203763.msg2129668#msg2129668

perhaps you genuinely assumed I was just giving you the cold shoulder or rejecting your site, if that is the case I apologize to you and to all new bitcoin casino operators who have felt spurned this way, it was not my attention.

Between work, helping the missus start her new business (soon to be supporting bitcoins and no not a casino !) and the numerous other things in my life right now my time for sitting around and gambling on bitcoin sites has and with great regret drastically reduced. Hell I hadnt logged onto seals for a good game in over a month where I used to be a weekly player.

Its a shame we couldn't patch things up, I have to admit when you decided to commit to your lie and ignore the blatant truth it really pissed me off.
Anyway good luck to you, I hope our dealings it not a sign of how you will handle client issues.
518  Economy / Gambling / Re: mem's BITCOIN GAMBLING LIST v2 on: May 13, 2013, 11:48:33 AM
I believe the credibility of your gambling list was definitely heavily influenced by the fact that the thread had been around for quite a long time, and as a result had accumulated a decent amount of views & replies.

Starting a new thread will take away from this, and lead to you unfairly sabotaging your rightful credibility.

Why not just edit your original thread completely starting from scratch?

After relaxing and watching the latest episode of GoT I have decided you are correct, thank you for the voice of reason.

Additionally I shall cease my current antagonisms and restore the list to an a-political state, I cannot expect casinos to abstain from strong political point of views if I do not do so myself. In cases that I find extreme, eg the blog posts by micrea of MPEx I shall simply place an asterix next to said entries. There willbe no fouls simply for a different view point of my own, the same for casinos (ie satoshipoker) run by unpleasant people.

A difference of opinion or a personal dislike is not a good reason to invalidate the list, which should only be for honest casino operations and warning players against scams in the most literal sense.

Regarding lottery and wager sites, well we have recently seen how something good can turn to shit rather quickly with betsofbitco.in, bitbet.is and bitlotto.
Due to the nature of these sites (holding player funds for X amount of time(, i can only see one way forward:
* sites with an outstanding record and operation time of ~6 months shall make the list, no asterix, italics, bold etc.
* new sites which have taken all steps within reason to validate themselves but require an event to complete shall also be added, but with an asterix noting that this site has not completed a full round and been verified and or has not been running for longer than 6 moths with an outstanding record.

With these two points In mind I strongly recommend players only betting what they can afford to lose regardless of the bets outcome and arrive at their own conclusion for the honesty of the site. Many non casino operations have had to step through similar hoops of gaining players trust.

So I shall be re-opening "vintage mems list" trolls have at it, it is and will be a good lesson for me to be able to continue doing something I feel has worth despite a few vocal detractors.

consider this thread purely for spitballing ideas for streamlining the new revision of mems list and of course trolling me.
