Probably after gathering the usernames of all participants

For the video competition, I read that there was some talk about maybe postponing the deadline. Is this still happening? If not what time is the video due on the 27th? Just found about this and I will be trying to put something together pretty fast.
It will postponed for 7 days. If there's still not enough participants we will postpone it for another week until we have a good competition!  Smiley
I would say around 10 participants is okay.
give us more time 7 days again for make video concept  Grin
I could extend it for 14 days (until March 10th) if the community wants that.

One week will be just fine. Otherwise it will be unfair with the people already submitted the video, cause more time equals more participants and less chances of winning.
A competition is not competition when the entries are low, so, we decide to postpone this competition and extend the duration to attract more entries, therefore, it'll be true competition among people here.
In my perspective, it's fair enough since competition is looking for the best quality over many entries and big rewards.
5186  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: January 25, 2017, 11:39:32 AM
Looking at the current scenario paypal is better than bitcoin.
As all the firms which involve online trading / transaction have an option PayPal in them
But till not only starbucks and Steam have accepted bitcoin as a mean of payment.
But in the near future there is a possibility of bitcoin over coming PayPal.
But we can never predict.

Where are you from.?
PayPal is not at all the preferred payment option in most of the countries. There are some countries who actually hate using PayPal for it's hefty fee structure. Whereas Bitcoin takes negligible fees, Yes, I do agree that Bitcoin is yet to be implemented in many stores across the world but still the priority of the people is shifting towards Bitcoin than PayPal.

Yeah as mentioned people are shifting from PayPal towards bitcoin, also bitcoin will get acceptance in more stores if a single feature similar to Paypal is added. which is the return back policy.
Cashback feature on bitcoin is really impossible even on my dreams because we all know that bitcoin does have irreversible transactions. Bitcoin is better for me regarding on the service because of its fast transaction and less fee on its money transfer and irreversible transactions would be really okay for me.Paypal does have it that's why some people use it for scamming people.
Chargeback feature is not as the same as cash back, keep in mind about that, and yeah it's right that chargeback is impossible due to irreversible characteristic of bitcoin transaction, so there's nothing to worry about even if it's could help the buyer to be more safe and secure but not so good for the sellers. But about the speed of the transaction, bitcoin is still beaten by PayPal if you're considering those confirmation as a thing.
5187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any games that I can earn Bitcoin from? on: January 25, 2017, 11:33:15 AM
just go to gambling section and wait for some promos of the site promoting their gambling site it is much better to play on them instead because you will have bonus deposit on your account when they are having promos so its a profit already you just need to wait for that opportunity .
The promos from gambling sites sometimes require complicated things you'll be obligated to fulfil and it's really not for you who's hating to be struggled for losing for the sake of be able to withdraw the bitcoin which you have gotten from the promos, though, there's some promos which don't even require us to do anything, it's up to you then.
5188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could bitcoin prevent crime? on: January 25, 2017, 11:22:43 AM
Bitcoin could prevent crime in terms of making transactions because it is very safe, every address is not able to hack as long as you use the available security features, Google Authenticator is the best.  We know that some users engage in illegal activities so meaning to say it is already a crime.
Your words "as long as you use the available security features" means an address is still able to be hacked and taking over its control from you and it's contradictory with your statement which said "every address is not able to hack" though, even if you have the finest security, the chance of getting hacked is still there even it's lower than having poor security.
Everything in this world has a hole, and nothing in this world is impossible, I say that if some hackers know how to access your wallet or just gaining access to it, your wallet and all of your address will be taken easily.

Hello, checked the file today and all was done as promised, counting of my posts is correct, thank you. It will be easier to track participants and activity if members publish  tweets and retweets in 1 post every week by updating the post, thus everything will be more organized and easier to check.  Cheesy
Well, I think this method which I currently use is efficient enough, no need to make things getting more complicated unless it's really necessary.

5190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fiverr no longer accepts Bitcoin on: January 24, 2017, 02:43:09 PM
Yeah, it is bad that they stopped accepting bitcoins. I used to order couple of articles per month for my blog from Fiverr and some SEO services, always used bitcoins on Fiverr, no Paypal or debit or credit card. They did charge around 10% for bitcoin deposits, do not know why they suddenly stopped accepting bitcoins. I do not think it would affect them in any way, but for users like me it is a bit disappointing, still XBT is there Smiley
The lack of users who use this payment method, as you know, the majority of people on the internet are now currently using PayPal as their payment method. Probably in Fiverr, the clients who use bitcoin is just too low, and they probably thinking about its volatility too which may affect their business, and now it's come to their final decision to no longer accepts bitcoin. Sad but true, Though I've made few transactions there with bitcoin and pleased.
5191  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Legit Bitcoin Doublers? on: January 24, 2017, 02:35:36 PM
Hi I have been doing online business for awhile now but I'm fairly new to bitcoin and I've been paid 0.01000000 btc for helping in advertising on social media. Now I've seen some adverts that offer to multiply your bit coins for twice their value for 24 hours but I dunno if they are scam.

Even in the real world where fiat is being used as a form of currency any thing that have to do with doubling has always been scam not to talk of bitcoin where once the payment is sent, the money is gone forever. I am happy for you that you took your time to ask before venturing into it thinking you are already where the financial breakthrough will come from and how your 0.01 will turn to 1btc in a short while.
Yeah, doubling money or any kind of it is just too dreamy, money doesn't grow on trees, and if you think that there's a way to double money without doing anything in a legitimate way then there's something wrong.
In real life doubling money is possible but need real efforts or high level of luckiness, such as winning lottery (it's considered as multiply the money), or investing in some currency and then the rate sky rocketing.
But yeah, the chance is 1:1000.

I have a question: you pay for 10 ASC each personal tweet (Maximum 1 tweet per day) and 5 ASC for retweeting pinned tweet? Because, I made 5 personal tweets, and 4 retweet from 18/01 till 22/01. And I got only 10 ASC for personal tweets, and 10 ASC for retweeting pinned tweet... Has the spreadsheet been updated?
The spreadsheet hasn't been updated yet, I will do the next counting on 1:00 PM this day and forum time, be patient and if when I did the counting of this week and there's some mistake, you and other participants are encouraged to report and thus I will sort it out.
5194  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes in trading that lead to loss of money on: January 23, 2017, 09:56:09 AM
Your mistake/s in trading that leads to loss of money
I think it will be the best to share your story so that we can avoid your past mistakes.

In trading, you will never loss money on exchange platform if you/we are doing the right things in trading. How? Very simple, example:
you buy ETH at price 0.01BTC you must sell it more than the price you invest it, just be patient on waiting.  If in case, the value price will down to 0.005BTC all you need to do is you must still hold your eth instead of selling it, buy more eth at that price if you have enough bitcoin in your balance. In that case, you will never loss money.
You came with the main milestone key point lead to success in trading - Patience and Self-restraint - even if waiting for months time will come with high stock and prices will definitely increase . just invest in good coins and stay away from shit coins
Good luck everyone and safe trading .
Patience doesn't mean waiting for a long time. Patience is waiting for the right time to sell or buy, as you can see that the altcoin markets are having short-term activities such as dumping and pumping which may occur withing few days, therefore you don't need to wait until few months unless it's really necessary, and one important thing is that even if you're waiting for a long time it doesn't mean that the price will always increase, the price might decrease drastically while you're waiting.
5195  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Using Bitcoin and altcoins when under 18 on: January 23, 2017, 09:47:00 AM
You can trade BTC and altcoins at any age. Some exchanges require you to accept TOS, where it's written that you have to be over certain age, but it won't really matter to them if you're not. The only problem you might have is if the exchange gets hacked or loses your funds, because in such case they could ask for an ID and bank account/ address to repay you. Also if they lose your money it will be hard to get it back (TOS violation on your part).

Exactly many exchanges requires to accept TOS without accepting we cannot move forward. Yes but till now i din't face any problem like hacking but when you want to trade either bitcoin and altcoin you need to accept their TOS.
The majority of altcoin exchangers don't require a verification by uploading government ID to allow you to start your trading activities there but, if you're going to increase the limit then they will require.
The opposite happen to the bitcoin exchangers which accepting some kind of bank transfers and credit card, they will strictly require verification ID to prevent from any fraud transaction.
And as you said, it's right that you must accept their TOS if you have desire to use their service and the TOS may vary for every exchangers.
5196  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is a good investment now, because... on: January 23, 2017, 09:42:36 AM
Bitcoin was a good investment. I cannot deny it, but to be practical in my situation or my case, its too expensive actually. So I'll go to other coins to invest to make it grow in fastest way, then when the value increase by x10, I'll buy bitcoin little by little.
Bitcoin have decimals in satoshi unit and that's what makes bitcoin is flexible for you, you can even buy with any amount of money. So, there is no word too expensive for bitcoin. Just buy what you can afford.
Though investing to another coin is not wrong but if you really want to invest into bitcoin then just invest.
5197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fiverr no longer accepts Bitcoin on: January 23, 2017, 09:32:51 AM
Did they give a reason why they are not accepting btc anymore?

Yes.  They said it was because Bitcoin is now dead.

No way, bitcoin is not dead how the fiverr team says that and tries to reason out that bitcoin is now dead. For sure they know on what is happening with bitcoin right now. How they can say that a $900+ valued coin would be dead, it is even far from the reality to say that it is dead to have no value at all, maybe fiverr does have their own reason to deny bitcoin.
Dead from the perspective of their business, I guess. They see that the people in their market who use bitcoin for payment method is decreasing lately so they might have made a decision to no longer accept it.
There's nothing wrong if they thought that it might give them some benefits, what we can do?

its same for me , and i think spreadsheet will update every week
or aubert already have diffrent sheet with right data
Hello Has the spreadsheet been updated? I have Tweeted Three times about ASCENDANCY (Of course I followed the 1 Tweet per day rule) And My ASC in spreadsheet is still at 10 ASC. I thought It's 10ASC/Tweet/Per day? Also I've Retweeted two different pinned tweets but only ASC for one is recorded.

My Twitter Handle: @TechviberNG
The spreadsheet will be done this day. In the next week, I'll do a calculation at the end of the weeks only to avoid of wasting unnecessary energy and will probably make a form regarding this matter to the participants.

Hello!

I make tweet every day, but in spreedsheet written "Retweet - Follow" and tweets are not counted.
Please change it.

No 48 in spreadsheet. Thank you!

Done
5199  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best trading places on: January 22, 2017, 10:16:03 AM
i like kraken, there is leverage there and other features, bitfinex also seems good, but there was an hacking attempt in the past, the one that is still somehow safe is only kraken to me

Indeed, kraken is quite good when it comes to their services yeah go for this exchange platform, But in bitfinex I doubt, as we all know before it has a big controversial issues. And the damage that it gave is not a joke to their investors.
Bitfinex is now regaining the trust from their clients and now they succeed. As you can see from the data here http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/volume/24-hour/ bitfinex is now in the first rank of bitcoin marketplace with over    $10,479,800 traded within a day. I can say that bitfinex is still being trusted by their users even after they're getting hacked recently and losing millions of dollar.
You might doubt about the services they have offered because of the hack but, people still want to trust them, I'm myself never use bitfinex but just amazed of how they could regain their trust.
5200  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: January 22, 2017, 09:50:04 AM
If it is stable, all traders will be glad in here, we are about to see that all other traders will be happy, we cannot see and predict it will be ok or not, because others will benefit, while others will not benefit. We must first think what will happen if it will be stable
No, you are wrong. If bitcoin had a stable price then those traders might not have come to the world of cryptocurrency and getting involved into cryptocurrencies trading. The purpose of trading is seeking profit out of volatility which clearly explains that something with stable price will not attract the traders and as the opposite, the traders will not glad and get away from cryptocurrencies trading.
