521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Related Crimes Surge on: October 28, 2018, 09:09:05 AM
when a currency is being used more by people that means it is being used by all kinds of people and one type is criminals. but don't worry about it because bitcoin can not compete with US dollar in this case because bitcoin is traceable Cheesy
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan just gave its cryptocurrency industry legal power to police itself on: October 28, 2018, 09:04:41 AM
Japan has always been a technologically advanced country and they are now very interested in the newest technology which is bitcoin and they want to be the pioneers in this field. hopefully we don't see any more embarrassments like Mt Gox out of them and see Japan turn into a good model to follow for the rest of the world.
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Postponing Listing on the Exchange due bear market conditions on: October 21, 2018, 08:56:30 AM
if some project has some underlying value then their team should not worry about the market sentiments such as bear market or bull market because that is not the thing that affects a real good project! for example you never worry about bitcoin's future just because there is a bear market.

but when the altcoin developers know their project is so bad that they need the hype to pump it up and they know for sure that if the general bullishness of the market is not present with hundreds of newbies wasting their money, then there is no chance for their useless token to survive.
524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who controls the market? on: October 21, 2018, 08:48:02 AM
the "crypto market" is not 1 thing that you can control. this market consists of nearly 2000 different cryptocurrencies and each of them are different.

for instance we have big altcoins with big markets that are centralized and have a big company (aka foundation) behind them with million of dollars at their disposal controlling the market. coins like XRP and ETH comes to mind.

then we have smaller altcoins that have lower volumes and emptier order books which are controlled mostly by different pumping teams and pumping whales.

and finally we have on rare occasions, some good coins that are controlled by the market itself where the demand for the technology they have changes the price. the best example is bitcoin.
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs Sold 160,000 Ethereum Over the Past 10 Days on: October 21, 2018, 08:40:01 AM
don't be fooled by some of these numbers. many of them are in fact fake because real investors have already left the market and there are only currently the newbies left who are trying to gamble a little in this market.
these high numbers are either fake or the team is laundering their money by staging some public fake ICO and running the money through it.
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is CyberMiles better than Ethereum? Will change e-commerce? on: October 20, 2018, 10:51:10 AM
CyberMiles is a blockchain that is focused on the e-commerce market. The idea is to open up the online marketplace by allowing ordinary people to create and execute smart contracts. The question then arises, what makes it any different from Bitcoin or Ethereum?
Change for what? did not you even understand about the real problem of e-commerce that related to the crypto? It's about the volatility, the scalability doesn't matter on this case. Whatever how fast your blockchain if that was having a lot of volatility and then it will be useless. e-commerce is not about creating the blockchain which solved scalability.

Maybe you're right but i have faith in cybermiles, let's wait and see

the problem is that this smart contract concept is being sold to masses as a much bigger deal that it really is. what i have understood is that despite us seeing lots of different ways that people used them in the past none of them were actually needed! in other words you should go out of your way to use them for a certain purpose and you can achieve that purpose any other way which would be a lot easier too!
527  Economy / Speculation / Re: Potential for future growth of electronic money in 2019 on: October 20, 2018, 10:40:23 AM
"electronic money" is not something that rises. most of them are stable like Paypal which is equal to the value of 1 dollar.
part of this "electronic money" is altcoins and they are too vast to be talked about and speculated like this. in fact majority of them will die in the long run as we enter 2019.
that leaves bitcoin which is the topic of this board. and we all know bitcoin has a lot of potential even those who deny it publicly. with this year being the bear market and for the past couple of months price being stable we should start seeing rises soon leaded to a rally in 2019
528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet safety? on: October 20, 2018, 10:30:41 AM
even though it's actually quite safe, if you store a few wallets in 1 PC, but if your assets are large enough I think it would be better if you separate your wallet on several different PCs. it will be safer and less risky
Each wallet must have different encryption, no need to create multiple wallets that will be stored on multiple PCs as well. All he has to do is save all passphrase codes/private keys in a safe place like a flashdisk.

it sounds more like being paranoid to me to be honest. otherwise if you do it one time and do it correctly then you should be fine with only having 1 wallet on a computer that is securely encrypted and stored so that nobody can have access to it.
529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the bitcoin public ledger is still open? on: October 20, 2018, 10:11:03 AM
Don't you think the ideology of making bitcoin transactions public is not that important anymore? any thoughts? #MakeBitcoinGreatAgain

it is always easy to ask for a different thing that you like but have you thought about how would that work?
for example if what you want were implemented then how would bitcoin work? and most importantly what would be the downsides of that?
530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Updates Crypto Rankings, Downgrades Bitcoin on: October 20, 2018, 10:07:32 AM
Unfortunately the Chinese government lay more emphasis on what they believe and hold as their own. Seeing the ranking system it mean from the most Centralize to the most Decentralize cryptocurrency, so, the most Decentralize cryptocurrency is Bitcoin but the most Centralize cryptocurrency is the EOS which is not visible and doesn't have real world use like Ripple.

if you look deeper at each coin you can see that the comparison is very wrong because these projects are not in the same category as each other so they should not be compared with each other. a token like EOS or ETH are tokens and should not be compared with other coins like bitcoin and Ripple. and centralized coins like Ripple should not be compared with decentralized coins like bitcoin.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Need to Be Careful with ICOs on: October 19, 2018, 11:16:05 AM
unfortunately i have to disagree because although you can find ICOs that are not naturally scams but if you look at the history of ICOs that have been created so far you can clearly see that they are not really worthy tokens! most of them were only active during their fund raising and went offline immediately as the fundraising ended. the rest hung around for a little while before disappearing. in the end they all start up to make quick money not to solve anything.
532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency ever going to replace Fiat? on: October 19, 2018, 11:07:20 AM
cryptocurrency as we know it today will never replace fiat. because cryptocurrency is two things:
- bitcoin which is the only currency that works fine but it is never meant to replace fiat so it will never do that.
- altcoins which are not even currencies to want to replace fiat and for many years we will remain in the same market where people are only interested in pumping altcoins more than anything else because of the money they can make from it.
533  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who/what will fuel the next bull run? on: October 19, 2018, 10:49:07 AM
next bull run doesn't need any "fuel", it will happen exactly like all the previous times it happened. strong and big.

if you mean the initiator of the next bull run then it is a different argument. and most of the replies before are mostly talking about that "initiator" not the fuel itself.
that can be many things,. i personally think Lightning Network will be the ignition.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoincash keep going down on: October 19, 2018, 10:42:39 AM
what else did you expect from a useless fork coin?

it is funny that people ignore the fact that all the fork coins are useless and will inevitable go down but they have an easier time accepting shitcoins like BTG, BTV, BT... die than they have for seeing BCH dying. maybe because it is advertised more?

in any case that is the final destination for all of the projects that copy another project. they will all eventually die and only unique stand alone projects that are different from one another will remain in the market.
535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF: Rapid Growth of Bitcoin and Crypto Will Impact Global Financial System on: October 19, 2018, 10:23:00 AM
Crypto' comes from the greek word 'Kryptós' which means 'hidden' or 'secret'. 'Crypto currency' is short for 'Cryptographic Currency' because of the cryptographic hash function used in Bitcoin code. When you guys say 'Crypto', it means 'Cryptograhy' instead of 'Crypto Currency'
So always when you use 'Crypto' for 'Crypto Currency' you show a lack of understanding.

Well, we cant help with the short forms made afterwards when something gets popular and public call it something that is they feel more comfortable with. For instance, people do go for crypto without even saying anything about currencies. So even if someone says crypto, then cryptography and currency words are already included within it.

true but in most cases people say "crypto" not because they want to abbreviate but because they lack English skills and think the two words mean the same and need to be corrected.
also i personally dislike the way they use crypto when they want to talk about bitcoin and altcoins the same way as if they are the same.
536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never say die to Bitcoin on: October 19, 2018, 10:17:10 AM
what you say sounds more like conspiracy theory than reality.
from what i have seen all the FUDs have 90% of the times been from users who wanted to buy bitcoin at cheaper prices which is why they spammed the lies everywhere. government doesn't care about the price and manipulating it and that is what an FUD does.
537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chilean Study Shows Only 39% Have Heard Of Cryptocurrency on: October 18, 2018, 09:29:25 AM
to hear about cryptocurrency is not important. people hear about a lot of things in passing and that percentage may even be higher than 30%.
the important percentage is how many people actually know about cryptocurrency, how many of those are willing to buy it and how many are buying because they understand what is going on not because they saw altcoin pumps and want to be rich.
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 is the year of altcoins on: October 18, 2018, 09:19:15 AM
the altcoin is not going to be forgotten that easily. it is still the simple way of creating shitcoins and making money from them and also it is an easy way of pump and dumping for traders who want more profit on their bitcoins and have no better way of doing so. dumps of this year is not the first dumps of history, they happen too often actually. and they never kill shitcoins.
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin do you invest in and do you trust the most? on: October 18, 2018, 09:08:54 AM
because of the current altcoin market there is nothing good to be found for investment. some altcoins may already be at their bottoms but the risks of investing in any coin is still high because of the dumps that are still going on all over the market.
for now my decision is to only stick to bitcoin and wait for the dumps to reach a conclusion.
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if all the governments accept crypto? on: October 18, 2018, 08:56:10 AM
but there are so many problems that is preventing the investors from coming out and the government to approve of cryptocurrencies which makes it a near impossible event to happen.
for starters the fact that altcoins are created for pump and dumps is the biggest force against their adoption since pump and dumps are known to die sooner or later.
you can already see that if a good coin already exists (like bitcoin) it will be accepted by the government and the real investors fast and easy.
