Very simple : the mining software have a specific option to design wich GPUs to use.
The only difficulty is the syntax : it an vary from one software to another : you have to learn the help command or to try some syntaxes.
The Cuda option work only with nVidia GPUs and don't work with all mining softwares.

Im trying to re-index the blockchain to avoid having to download it again (slow connection).
Its taking days. Im using Linux and the processor use is under 10%!
Does anyone know how to increase that? I've adjusted the DBcache size up very high and tried out using the Error check threads that are available in options and when I launch Bt caore it runs at 50% for a while and gradually slows down to under 10%.
Does anyone have any tips to speed this up? Surely it should be at 50% more or less all the time? !00% would be great.
The disk use isnt very high either.
Stop the virtual threads in your BIOS and if it is not enough, stop the multithreading : you will work on only one core but with the maxium turbo frequency (if you use Intel CPUs, AMD CPUs are very slows in all cases). |

I thought one of bitcoins big selling points was anonymity. Yet I've read some articles about people who have either stolen or embezzled bitcoin and they were later tracked down and arrested. I'm glad they were caught don't get me wrong but how were they caught if bitcoin is supposed to be anonymous?
Yes Bitcoin is not anonymous. On the contrary, Bitcoin is the more public money system : everybody can see all the transactions in all the world. If somebody know one of your Bitcoin address, he know all your transactions with this address. |

Only one question : what are your temperatures ? Below a certain temperature, mosts of cards have a silent mode, whithout fans. And the temperature varies from one GPU to the other in the same RIG because cards are not all ins the same place/disposition and not the same cooling efficiency. |

if you wanna do mining with cpu and gpu
it s actually very simple, i don't know why people never think about this
it s actuality oblivious for me
just put your cpu miner in task manager to idle (or at lease lower than normal) and it can use all your cores
and it won't slow down your gpu's
This is a very goos and simple advice :-). The problem is that the majority of miners RIG are build over the cheapests Celerons and those Celerons with a low priority in the task manager are mining quasi nothing with XMR (and a lot of others coins : too slow). If you want CPUmine with your RIG, don't buy a so cheap Celeron (choose a Core i3 ot higher). |
