521  Economy / Economics / Re: What skills should I learn to get freelance work ..?? on: August 09, 2022, 08:52:37 PM
First, you have to search for in-demand freelance jobs and choose skills that you think you can handle and enjoy. You must acquire an in demand skills so your effort of studying won't be wasted. You should also make sure that you like what you're doing because if not, you'll only see toxicity and stress. Also, you have to search for high-paying jobs that would fit your skills so you'll be able to earn not just experience but also a better salary.
First is knowing what your interest at because if you have an interest in drawing but the in-demand jobs are different, you won't still apply for it but you are lucky if your interest is also what is on the demand right now. Learning a new skill is possible and it's better to learn different or lots of it because not all times the in-demand jobs can remain but they can also be replace by another job.

Now that you that have different skills already, you are now prepared for these things to happen so won't worry anymore. It's hard to apply for a company which offers a better salary because they are getting so many applicants. For this you also need a luck.
522  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to tell when a trading bot is a scam on: August 09, 2022, 08:20:32 PM
Kucoin Trading bot makes me a poor when terra luna Collapse 😭😭. But i don't think it's bot fault it's my fault. Why i trade terra luna 😥.
I think it's not also your fault on why you chose terra luna because it was once a top coin and it shows no trace that it will end up like that. This is why so many people lose millions because like you, they also believe on the coin but by there I hope we can get a lesson that no matter how trusted the coin are, we should not be confident but invest only what you can afford to lose and then don't be afraid to pull out some profit once your investment is already booming.

Now on topic, kucoin trading bot is legit. Op's tips are also helpful but some of what he said are I think not really suspicious like to transfer an amount in a bot. We need money to trade, that is why and also not all bots are free. It's also true that bot can help us make money while we sleep.
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will Never Fall Again on: August 09, 2022, 03:35:38 PM
in part all this has to do with the markets and more specifically with the behavior of bitcoin, but according to what I have seen in articles, some analysts think that we are going back a lot and that now the big holders are accumulating a lot of bitcoin, and this has increased the need for holders to buy more bitcoin, which means that if the price goes down more, those people will take advantage, but seeing how everything is, it is very difficult for it to go down more, I don't think they will continue to lower the price of bitcoin , I think that by the looks of it all may be starting to go up.
That's what the accumulation phase is all about. First you go up, then you start to go down, then you do not go down further but you do not go up neither which is the accumulation phase and we have been there for a while now, ever since the luna news the price didn't bottomed any further that was the bottom.

This means that for a while all the rich people and poor people are all buying and holding. If anything else happens, they will just keep on buying more and more. Hence, I do not think that anything bad could happen to the current situation, it's just a great take off spot for us now. If the price goes up then it is going to be pretty good for sure because we all bought a lot while waiting.
524  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency an Alternative in Resisting Economy Hardship on: August 09, 2022, 06:48:50 AM
From what I've seen on this forum about Nigeria, I really like this country. I'm sorry that the legislation and policies are unwelcoming there, but I can see that the people are very proactive, hopeful, trying to make Nigeria a much better place, especially with economic innovations. There's this passion that few nations seem to currently possess from my knowledge. Bitcoin can't be a solution to everything, and to poverty specifically. But it can be a part of bigger things that make the economy improve, and with improving economy improves the quality of life of people there.
No doubt that Nigerians are nice people and trying to survive is a strong goal for every family and youth. Nigerians are well exposed and intelligent, giving same opportunities they will excel beyond expectations. This is the reason that bitcoin trading and other online businesses isn't strange to the people of Nigeria. We already know some Nigerians at the top echelon of world economy , others are doing well in all angles.
That's true. They have a potential. Majority of videos about troubleshooting a pc and a phone are from them and many other countries are thankful for them because their solutions are easy to understand and works like a charm compared to those videos from other countries. What I only dislike about them is that some knowledgeable people from this country uses their knowledge in bad things like for scamming.

Not just small time but big time. This is why their reputation are also affected and when someone heard Nigeria or Nigerian, the first thing that can come to their mind is those big time scamming which have happened on the past.
525  Other / Archival / Re: Entrepreneurship or Office job? on: August 08, 2022, 08:19:01 PM
The struggle between the decision of being your own boss and working under someone is becoming more difficult to make as economic situations become tougher. From evaluation around me, self proclaimed entrepreneurs are quitting entrepreneurship because of difficulty in maintaining a business and reduced sales due to reduced purchasing power from people, an effect of the economic situation. Office workers on the other hand who also have been on one salary grade for a long time now are becoming fed up with how their monthly salary is no longer sufficient to secure a comfortable lifestyle for a month also due to the higher cost of living. What do you think is the way forward?
It's not difficult to decide even if let say there's only a small capital on hand because we can always borrow a money from someone else and then we can start our own business right away. Many prefers this because they are free to do what they want and no one can scold them but they can only scold their workers if they have some.

More important is that the income potential can be high than the rates that you can get working in an office job. If we know that our budget is only limited then we should not try to live like a king or to live in a comfortable lifestyle however I think that living outside your comfort zone do also have some benefits.
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the $500 for? NFT or Coin! on: August 08, 2022, 09:09:21 AM
NFT hype is almost over. Now it is time for the next phase of innovation. Right now something different haven't reached the market. Be prepared, when something different from the regular pattern of project strikes the market. Coin always secure its place in the market amidst the market trend. My choice will be a coin in the top order which is priced less than $1.
You're wrong, the NFT hype isn't over yet, it's just the beginning, we're in a bear market, but look,
many NFT, Metaverse and Play to Earn projects are recovering very well, this means NFT is still not finished.
Nft's are not new but we already have nft's before like crypto kitties however they became more popular in 2021 but 2022 have been a gloomy year for the cryptos so maybe you are right about it that if not because of the bears maybe nft hypes are still there?

Well, let's see once this market normalizes. Alot of nft's are recovering, that's because btc the king of crypto is also now doing well. Okay, what if we can invest in both nft's and crypto coins? But better if we can prioritize the coin's more since we already know their flow. We know that they can always recover and improve but we are not sure yet about these new nft's around us.
527  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID had widened the gap between world's richest and poorest on: August 08, 2022, 06:04:09 AM
At this point, the gap has already been so wide that further widening means little. But it should be addressed, or rather it should have already been addressed, but this signals two things. First, it's symptomatic of late-stage capitalism. The second is that people will not do much about it as far as they are given a perceived level of monetary gain and a myriad of unimportant trinkets to disguise the fact that those on the other end of that gap are getting richer from their work.
I think the second reason is mainly because there are also a lot of people who think "temporarily embarrassed millionaires" club. That means there are people out there who are not rich right now, and they are still protecting the rights of the rich people instead of their own because they think they could become rich at anytime.

This was mainly done by people and the media who talked about "rags to riches" stories for many years, and while we had over a billion people who lived in the USA since its start, we also had only a few people ever who had more than a billion dollars, so it is a big lie that people could get rags to riches, the odds are at least 10 million to one, meaning it would not make sense to protect their rights but poor people still do.
528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't sit on your hands on: August 07, 2022, 09:01:39 AM
Many people are expecting Bitcoin to go down to 10k before they start investing, well not a bad idea but sometimes your expectations might not come true, just because bitcoin was 3700$ in match 2020 doesn't mean we might see 10k per Bitcoin, remember it was because of CoViD that's why BTC plummeted to 3700$, the best strategy is DCAing, 17500$ per BTC weeks ago was a good opportunity honestly, for the short time some said but might be the last for the long term too, instead of guessing and making predictions avoid sitting on your hands and do nothing.
Well for the upcoming halving there a chance that the bitcoin sit again in the bottom but still there's a lot of thing happen there's almost two years before the halving so there's a chance it will make a consolidation or make a mini pump before the really dump still anything can happen if you trust the bitcoin no matter what happen still it has the value of it just the price it depends on how you will see the bitcoin as long term or short term investment always plan your trades.
I think that the more we are close to halving the more the price can increase because people are excited for it so they are buying as much bitcoin as they can as they know that once halving is done the price of btc will also increase at a different level but now that we are still far from the halving, there is still a chance that the price of bitcoin can go down.

I only don't think that 10k can be achieved but the lowest prediction that I saw was 13k only. It is really a bad idea to wait for the lowest price bitcoin can get because there is no guarantee that it will happen. That is right that they better do a dca or buy something if they don't want to regret later on.
529  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: August 06, 2022, 09:00:53 PM
It will be amazing, I know that sportsbet.io is a "epl first" place but we all know there are other leagues there as well, I personally like to gamble on just a few sports because I do not understand about most others, but that doesn't change the fact that rewards are awesome for epl.

We have seen plenty of times when people were flown to games and spent time with the team, buwaytrees I think you were one of them weren't you? I am sure that this year will have another since covid seems to be getting less and less dangerous, so being "there" will be more possible. They will definitely offer it for some unimportant games at least, maybe will offer for some big games as well.

Yeah, first to admit football really is all I know about, but have to say have probably bet a bit more on others like tennis, even F1 and it is largely due to the exposure from Sportsbet.io. EPL promos and boosts, UCL too just sweetens the gaming. Not to mention Live Casino, I have played more Blackjack on Evo than I would ever have just because of Live Casino Hero heh.

And yeah! Got an early look at pre -World Cup Qatar courtesy of a Sportsbet UCL contest. Then a cushy game at Emirates you might remember coinciding with Bitcoin's last ATH haha.

Hope to see more of you when we try to outdrink Steve (we can dream) next time we are flown around =D
I do love NBA and F1 along with football as well, so I do wager on all of them. Usually F1 is the simplest one because even if you are wrong once, you could martingale your way into a win. Like for example Max is amazing this year right? What about picking Max for the next win, and if you lose, then you wager a lot more next time around on him, and if he loses again then you wager a ton more. You have to calculate based on your bankroll of course but it is easy picking really.

NBA is harder, because every team loses about 20% or more of their games, football is easier than that, you do not see City losing 7-8 games a year, you see them lose 3-4 usually (if I am not wrong) and so will LFC as well if all goes right.
530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: PI Network! A huge trap[Warning!] on: August 06, 2022, 06:33:49 PM
I'm a bit surprised that pi has existed since 2 years ago, now in my country it's still booming, and many pi collectors are valued at $0.5 even though they haven't been listed on any exchange, for those who want to sell pi mainet can contact me via dm to get a candidate buyer.
the rules do not allow to exchange IP for fiat or other cryptocurrencies, until reaching open mainnet.

Be careful how you make the transaction, because I don't know what the consequence would be.
I don't think a rule like that will still be obeyed as many people have been mining the coin for a long time. I think those people are willing to break the rules because they are also scared that what if there will be no listing that will happen? For them it's better to sell the coin for something than totally wasting their effort.

Maybe the consequences for doing this is that your pi account will get banned but they can care less since the coins are already moved to the other wallet and they won't mine again. Another consequence that an early seller can face is that they can get scammed but they can always use an escrow if the deals are decent.
531  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin is King on: August 06, 2022, 11:03:31 AM
They're comparing it to old tech companies like Nokia, Blackberry, etc. But they cannot realize that bitcoin is no the same from those companies that has to keep with their products up-to-date setting whilst for bitcoin.

One of the common things attributed to them is that they will always find a means to justify their wrongs, they had forgotten that product is different from currency which can be use to buy the entire producing factory of a particular product, that's how far bitcoin can go in surprising them.
Unfortunately, the companies that promises the starts to you, hopes that they land on the trees at the very least, not the other way around. I have been working as a marketing expert on a dozen projects so far, and I know what they tell the public and I know what they talk inside.

I knew places that had literally just 1-2k dollars left to go on and either find a way to make more money, which is opposite of what a project should be made for, or they are going to go bankrupt and the project will fail. So, they keep lying about how it is all well and how everything is going great and how everyone should be feeling super in love with it etc etc, which in reality is "how will we survive another week like this" in reality.
532  Economy / Economics / Re: EU countries agree deal to cut use of gas this winter on: August 05, 2022, 07:01:33 AM
This is about using gas as an economical/political weapon to damage the life of the average European citizen, make them stop living and turn them to "survival mode", in other words, decreasing that living stardard.
So this world gets a bravo now.

Once upon a time the only weapons created - rockets, atomic bombs, etc. - were against militaries. Now we have succeeded in creating weapons that hurt absolutely nobody except for people who have nothing to do with the conflicts.

Think information warfare, hacks, "gas weapons", "climate weapon", and the 100 other ridiculous weapons that the news says that Russia invented.

Insert hardest facepalm here
You are both right, but also not right at the same time, depends on where you are sitting obviously. If you are Europe, then you realize that if you stop using gas, that will hurt your own people more than it will hurt Russia, but it WILL hurt Russia and that is what they want, you can't just waltz in another nation and say "hey there are Russians here, we will take this land" and get away with it, if that is the case then we will have conflicts all over the world because there are nations and races overlapping each other all around the world, hell half of south USA would become Mexican tomorrow if that was a good reason.

Hence, while it’s bad to hurt innocent people of your opponent, hurting your own people to send a message could be seen as leadership.
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Theta - thoughts on it's prospects? on: August 04, 2022, 07:48:08 PM
I don't know much about Theta coin. I gather they are partnering with Sony?
Think it will do well in the next couple of years? (price wise compared to other popular crypto)
Like you, I too didn't know much about this project other than seeing them in top charts so by there I can just assume that the project is good and a must to have so you can try to add this coin in your portfolio if you want to and you said that there are upcoming partnerships which are huge because man that was sony so I supposed that this can lift this coins value more evenly but do you know if when is the exact date of the partnership?

You didn't leave extra information other than saying the project will improve in a couple of year so I guess the partnership can happen next year or so but during those times I think that other top projects are going to do well so don't disregard them.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can some AltCoins pump during bear markets ? on: August 04, 2022, 02:40:24 PM
The possibilities of the pump group working with a low cap coins to attract investors' attention is a good example of this kind of movement, though there are really assets that can go oppositely with how the market runs, but eventually they will just go back and start to run on the same path as the whole market. You always need to keep yourself updated to make sure that you are moving accordingly and you'll be capable of adjusting in case you see are not getting the result that you are aiming.
That's the point, i the market decides that it should be at certain price, and a bunch of people decide they could pump it otherwise, the market will destroy them and still find a way to get it to that price again. The idea of a pump is to make a hail mary where you end up making the price change and stay there, but we all know that it can't happen and the price will go back.

I lived through periods where people pumped coins at 800% levels, and the price skyrocketed like crazy for maybe like 15 minutes but as soon as it peaked, EVERYONE started to sell and that's when it dropped even further down then what it used to be before the pump starts and the coin was hurt because of it.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: August 04, 2022, 06:54:54 AM
~snip~
I can see a lot of posts favoring France in this thread. It looks as if the French team are the favorites to win this world cup. But I am quite skeptical about the chances of France. I don't believe that the issues that came to forefront during the Euro 2020 has been resolved. There are major issues with team bonding. Players are behaving selfishly and not passing the ball. And I don't think that players such as Adrien Rabiot and Kylian Mbappe are in talking terms, after the confrontation between their family members. No matter how skilled the players are, if the bonding is not there, then they are not going to win. Period.
Yeah, I agree. I'm not sure this world cup will end up in the hands of France.

I can think of many teams that will probably have more chances, for example Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, just to name a few. Definitely France will perform great, and probably go to the next stage, but I reckon they won't make it to the final given the vast amount of great teams in this world cup.
Right now, situation is completely like we have in Champions League peoples were talking about PSG and Manchester City but at the end we have Real Madrid as winner. I am feeling we are talking about France and Brazil but most chances both teams are not going to win this title, and we will have winner from Germany, Argentina and England these three teams are doing very good and have ability to win this event in current circumstances.

Some are feeling Pogba injury is going to be vital for France maybe this happens but for me, they are not going to win this title as they are having some issues which need to change, but things are not favoring them which is the biggest point for them in coming world cup.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 03, 2022, 08:43:32 PM
I was surprised to see Chelsea not being one of the favorites to win the Premier League next season, in fact they got 0% in percentage. Indeed, now they are in a team condition that lags behind other big teams. But they should still be able to compete, because now their squad is not fully final. There are many possibilities that they will get a solid team at the end of the transfer market later.
There were good hopes for Chelsea to be good for next season's title race but sadly due to change of management now they are not near this which is surely a big setback for fans because management completely fail to support coach's few requirements and this is surely a big problem for them in next season.

Recently we check all details and after this most chances they will be in trouble for having position in top four because now it's not easy for them in presence of good investments by Arsenal and Tottenham these both are favorite for staying into top four as these teams are doing good in transfer window and having few quality players for their best future and having good results into next season.
537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Early Adopters rich? on: August 03, 2022, 07:15:01 PM
I just wonder: are Early Adopters rich?
We know AA, author of "Mastering Bitcoin" was once attacked because he did not made any fortune having BTC from early years, then people donated some BTC and he collected around 100BTC.
Hal F's wife sued "I am Satoshi guy" and they were talking about $ 3-digit mln, so they are not kind of people who wait every month for their wage.
What about others? Bitcoin Core developers? Forum admins or well-known old users? Are they crazy rich living in their own castles or did they lost their coins, sold for $10 because of mortgage loan or student's debt and today they must work 7-15 every day?
Some of them that sees btc as an asset yes because they buy and hodl them up until now but for those who only adopt btc as a currency for daily use then no they haven't made a fortune through it. Is that "mastering bitcoin" a book? And it is digital and being handed freely?

What a nice guy the author then but if this happens to other authors, they will be selling their books because they have use their time and effort to create it, most especially if it's a physical one since you need some materials. Luckily the author that we are talking about still got donations. 100 btc is huge especially if that kept until today. That was still considered as a wealth or fortune.
538  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: August 03, 2022, 05:43:59 PM
The season is here again and I have decided to give Fortunejack some shot to get ready for the Leagues with their sportsbook but I'm not happy that my country is restricted. I have managed to use VPN to break that but I'm still facing some difficulty. My Mobile number has refused to verify, I'm not receiving the OTP to bypass verification, I don't know if it is my network provider but I have changed the Mobile Number with a different network provider and I'm yet to get the OTP. Are there any solution to this or is this a result of my country restriction?
Another question, will KYC be require in the future when I want to withdraw?
I would guess that using VPN is not a clear violation of anything because we are talking about something that is going to be risky for you to keep doing. Maybe just the free stuff like 7/7 stuff and all, but if you deposit money here from a nation that is not allowed to do that then we are going to see you losing all of that all together when they catch you because they will have to keep their radars open for people who are committing "do not play here, yet still played here" rule.

We should be seeing you trying to find places that would actually allow you to gamble, that way you will be at more ease and you would not have to worry about what's going to happen.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 03, 2022, 08:40:11 AM
I will not rush to say that Bayern Munich is the biggest candidate in the Champions League title next season. Because we also have to see what other teams are like, Manchester City and Liverpool in England, Barcelona and Real Madrid in Spain are equally strong candidates. I can say that Bayern Munich is the biggest candidate in the Bundesliga, but it won't be the same when it comes to the Champions League.
Of course, it is still difficult to predict that they will be UCL champions next season. There are still some phases to go through.  Although they have good players and dominate the league their performances are still not what we can see. Because they need consistency. Moreover, their new coach does not have much experience in the UCL. But choosing they're going to advance to that knockout phase is a huge opportunity. After that a tougher match will certainly happen so there are still many possibilities.
English teams are dominating into Champions League as they have much better quality and skilled players and here in Germany Bayern Munich is only dominating team and just because of this they are also not performing good into Champions League and now with the departure of Robert Lewandowski we are going to have some change into Bayern Munich as well because they will be no on same level while they have this quality player even right now they still have few quality players, and they can do much better but for more accurate results we have to wait for more matches.

Usually they are in top teams for Champions League, but mostly they have problem in knock out stages, so hopefully we will have some better results from them in this coming season, and they will do much better and having their best quality into Champions League for their best result.
540  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I not lose money in trading cryptocurrency? on: August 02, 2022, 08:10:13 PM
Trading needs your time and perhaps your whole day because there is increase and decrease in price of the market so you should have eyes on market price. If the worth is higher then you should never buy any coin because it could be a cause of your loss. You should have patience and do no be in hurry to make the profit at once. It will surely take time.
But, we have trading bots where you can just program and they'll be the one that does the job for you so there is no need for you to monitor the market the whole day. These trading bots can get signals or updates about what's going on in the market so no need to worry.

If we are still a newbie in trading and on other things related to it then yes we might need a whole day to learn it but only if we want to learn faster, if not then we can just read and practice for a couple of hours per day. Patience is needed to wait for the coin to drop before we buy and also to wait for them to increase for us to sell. What the op wants is only impossible though.
