521  Economy / Economics / Re: Am I a bad person if I manage to avoid taxes? (Hypothetical question) on: August 21, 2023, 12:57:49 PM
You have to ask yourself first where those taxes go, if you see improvements in public transportation, infrastructures, energy, health and education and other aspects that the government has a say then you're a bad guy in that situation especially if you are a big business but if you know that it's not going anywhere besides lining the pockets of the corrupt politicians then I suppose tax evade away to your heart's content. Those are the only things that I believe should be your guidelines whether you're doing it right because in a way taxes are someone's payment to be in that country.
522  Economy / Economics / Re: Were Banks and Governments behind this Dump? on: August 21, 2023, 12:13:16 PM
The regulations is the root cause for the dump in bitcoin price, when the government illegal the cryptocurrency the investment in that country will be very low.It automatic reduce in the flow of bitcoin in that country, it will affect the total demand of the bitcoin and further reduce the overall price of bitcoin. The government of countries which made bitcoin as illegal had huge impact in the demand of bitcoin in the market.Sometimes bank doesn’t allow the transaction of cryptocurrency and also manipulation in the market.
A lot of country has done that over the years so I don't necessarily agree that the dump in prices is because the government is regulating bitcoin, pretty sure SEC considered bitcoin a while as an asset and not a currency like other crypto so how can regulation be the problem when SEC is on bitcoin's side? If it did made an impact, how come bitcoin's still able to survive to this day? When the regulations in bitcoin tightens, it will just make it increase in demand because people will be paying more to get their hands on it.

Regarding the recent dump, I don't think that the government is in any way involved in this, the economy has been crashing even before the price have dumped so it's not them, it's probably just SpaceX and we are just overthinking and overanalyzing things, I'd say we just let this day go by and move on, it's a good time to buy now if you ask me.

The thing is most of people don't know how to make more money, even they know the side job, they're only earn small amount of money and it still not enough to change their life. It turn to be worse if they get sick due to working overtime and they need to spend more money to buy medicine, they're not make more money, but they ended up spend more money.

Many rich people don't want to let anyone know how to make money to the poor.
As @Wend have already said, two sources of income is still better than one and I don't believe that opportunity doesn't knock on everyone's doors, I am pretty sure that in some way, there was a time it did for everybody. Working overtime for your only job is not making more cashflow though, the money generated on that isn't a lot so I wouldn't count it as a different cash flow.
Many rich people don't want to let anyone know how to make money to the poor.
As the saying goes, "If everyone is special, no one is."
524  Economy / Economics / Re: Any business where today you launch, tomorrow you begin making profit...? on: August 21, 2023, 09:37:04 AM
~
Lol 😆 did you say Lalaland? It's possible to start a business today and start making money tomorrow, but such a business requires a lot of money too, you must be a self-made millionaire to start such a business, some businesses progress because of max consumption from the people, for example owning a petrol station, you will start making money the moment you open, there are thousand of cars and lorries that runs on petrol and diesel, they need to fill up their tanks isn't it?
Iirc I said that to be considered making money, it needs to not be a break even but a profit so the daily profit minus the capital is where I considered as a "making money". Have you considered the capital that they've put in to build the gas station? I don't think that there's enough money in a day's work will cover or even surpass the capital build a gas station, technically you do make money but what that business was built on a loan, can you still consider it your money?
~
There are some things we can't do without, the best businesses are those that humans can't do without consuming daily, now when it comes to crypto-related, the only one that comes to mind is crypto mining, you start earning money once your Asic miner start working, but to be a successful miner you need a lot of money.
How does it exactly work, I'm not familiar with mining but I think you'll have to pay for cooling the machine and the electricity and the blocks take more time to be mined at a lesser amount so I don't consider that a means to make money especially if you're only using only 1 ASIC.
525  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe unemployment rate hits record low, employment record up on: August 21, 2023, 06:16:05 AM
I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, like it was suggested by another user, but while it's a positive thing that unemployment is low, the cost of living has increased so much due to inflation that it's pretty much unbearable in some countries. Thus, the ideal would be not only to have low unemployment rates but also a higher minimum wage, with which you'd be able to live quite comfortably. However, this isn't always possible, at least not yet, and we should focus on the positive, not the negative. This is an important stepping stone towards achieving a better economy for everybody. Till then, we should focus on ourselves, acquire new skills, and become a better version of ourselves.
Dude, increase in minimum wage is always possible, the companies just want you to think it's impossible because they don't want you getting the idea that you and your co-workers can demand something from them, if you look at the profits of most companies, you'll be able to see that they can all afford to pay their workers higher minimum wage or even increase their wages. Another reason I could see why it's not helping the economic health of Europe is that the budgeting of countries and their spending are either misused, incompetent or rife with corruption so the money goes nowhere.
526  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: August 21, 2023, 04:56:00 AM
Just make more money, increase your cashflow so you don't have to worry about budgeting too much, yes it's a good thing that there's a budget and you have a discipline on how you spend money but you've got to step up your money making game too, if there's an opportunity that allows you to make more money, get it. Sometimes it's not that you are overspending, sometimes it's your cashflow, it's  so little that you're forced to skimp on stuff that you're not supposed to skimp on.
527  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Crash may take bitcoin to 1M dollar on: August 21, 2023, 03:38:10 AM
South Africa is on the verge of collapsing and the other countries in BRICS can't even meet an agreement to find a match against dollar so they can start de-dollarization so I don't see them as a threat against US economy or that they can be a contributing factor to the economic collapse. I would lean more on the possibility of the crash as a result of the housing market bubble popping and the continuous money printing of the Federal Reserve but that don't mean that bitcoin is the ultimate safe haven asset because if US economy collapses, that's a major economy and it's going to lead to a market volatility that even bitcoin market will be affected because people are still scrambling on what to do which causes fluctuations as some will be buying because they want to safeguard their finances while others are selling because they have other obligations/responsibilities.
528  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies are now playing a major role in regulating the economy on: August 20, 2023, 02:23:11 PM
That's playing a major role because the topic is solely focused on cryptocurrency so I don't think that's really what crypto is right now, someone could easily change that to some other aspect of an economy or country like agriculture and real estate and we would assume the same thing, the best measure is to list the stuff that's regulating the economy and vote on it to see who's on top and I'm telling you it's not cryptocurrency.
As the optimism surrounding cryptocurrencies swells across the globe, its integral role in the future economy becomes increasingly apparent. This evolving attitude towards crypto is an undeniable testament to its potential as a transformative force in global finance.
Not enough optimism, we need people to be more aware and rid the crypto space of negative stereotypes, this is a case of overhyped and fanaticism of cryptocurrency, we should be realistic and see that it's not really the case because if crypto really has a big role in a country's economy, we would feel it given that crypto market is volatile.
529  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad economic situation makes bitcoins more difficult to keep. on: August 20, 2023, 11:51:23 AM
Holding Bitcoin is not an easy task for everyone. Those who try to hold Bitcoin must keep the financial aspect in mind because one thing we can almost all agree on that Bitcoin is not a short term investment platform, it is a long term investment platform. Investing in Bitcoin is very easy for investors who are involved in a job or business. They can be profitable from Bitcoin. On the other hand, those who are not financially independent will not benefit from investing in Bitcoin. Because they can't be patient. They will need money and then feel to sell bitcoins. So if a bitcoin investor is affluent then he is worth to invest in bitcoins.
It shouldn't be that difficult imo because if you really have a plan of action on how you can keep hodling on to your bitcoin, you will find a way not to spend those bitcoins and you should start hodling bitcoin for the long-term if you know that you have a consistent cash flow like a day job although I can understand that in a bad economy that's a problem as lay offs are a big thing so it's definitely difficult to do that, I guess the luckiest and the one's that have planned ahead for economic problems are the one's will be able to do what I've just said earlier.

@Icalical's 3rd entry is my best pick of all his entries, it's an affront to the current avatar schemes so I like something refreshing to look at although I hope he can sharpen the colors a bit or balance the background and the text

@PX-Z 1st entry is my best pick of all his entries, the one bit vibes is awesome, the pirate theme is strong especially with the worn out flag design.

@xLays have the same feels as my pick on PX-Z entry, although I would like more changes since it's almost the same as the current avatar.

I don't feel like picking any from @tjtonmoy's entry, the 1st entry is similar vibes to the current avatar but the color scheme of neon seems not in the direction of the brand.

@SamReomo's 2nd entry is my kind of style although I would love it if the Jolly Roger is a bit bigger than the lock and utilize the negative spaces more or at least lessen it.

@cafter's 2nd and 3rd entry is my pick, the 2nd has the simplistic design but still slick looking, good color scheme too although I don't know if that's fine with the brand, 3rd entry looks like your typical campaign avatar, can never go wrong with that.

If I were to have a Top 3 I would probably go 1st with @cafter's 3rd entry, SamReomo's @2nd entry would be the 2nd, and @PX-Z's 1st entry would be my 3rd.
531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading futures by manupulating spot. on: August 20, 2023, 06:43:08 AM
Futures is like an agreement or contract to buy and sell your bitcoin or crypto at a specific price on a specific date hoping that you're right about the price when that time arrives and we know that the price of bitcoin is dictated by supply and demand and the spot market is where bitcoin and other crypto are sold or bought quickly depending on the market sentiments and how many people are currently buying or selling, now with that in mind we can surmise that if the prices are influenced by supply and demand then which means that the movement is pretty random which might may affect the result of your prediction of the price on your futures so yes in a way you can move the futures market with spot market but that's difficult to do and it's expensive for a company to do that not to mention that they have to be sneaky about their intent to manipulate the market to their favor because it's still market manipulation and insider trading to some degree. Just take the current price dump of bitcoin, I doubt that there's no insider who has a short position because they know that the prices are going to go down

TLDR: If you have the money and influence, yes you can manipulate it.
532  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you must follow or use the services of trading signals providers on: August 20, 2023, 05:18:09 AM
The best that a trader can do is to never depend on signals. The best thing that a trader can do for himself is to learn, have knowledge and experience about trading even if he wants to use a signal or not.
In the OP it said that you can use the trading signals providers as a way to learn how they analyze the movement of the market, so I disagree to never depend on signals when you can learn from them, and OP clearly stated that you can always compare their statistics to see which one you can benefit from the most, not everyone has to be a stereotypical trader that only relies on his/her wits and analytical thinking to do trading if there are tools that might be able to help you, shouldn't everyone at the least try them to see if it really does help them right?

533  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Ponzi Trading Platform MTFE Collapse || $1 Billion scammed on: August 20, 2023, 03:37:16 AM
When it comes to ponzi schemes, poor countries or poor people are the most target market due to poor knowledge and by that, they are more prone of it believing they will get rich by doing that, sadly its the opposite. And a $1B money is just too much and its BS.
Not true, Herbalife is making billions in USA and the federal government can't do a thing about them MLM and Ponzi schemes grow where there are people that you can recruit into it, it doesn't matter if it's from a third-world country or not, scummy business like these trading platform will sprout and thrive no matter what.

How they pull off these scheme of trading as if it's really an AI is something, they really planned this from the start for sure, that kind of money won't be stolen by measly strategies and in a way you've got to admire their gall to be able to do some heinous shit like this, hopefully the people behind the MTFE identified because justice needs to prevail in this situation.
534  Economy / Lending / Re: Lend Crypto New Service-Loan Without Collateral on: August 20, 2023, 01:32:35 AM

You're right but I don't think that anyone knows those scammers personally and that's why I don't think that anyone will be able to reveal their faces online without proper proof. I really don't like that approach because there are so many scammers doing such acts and it would be almost impossible to reveal the faces of all of those scammers sitting behind the computers that they are using for the scamming purposes. In my opinion the only thing we can do to help others be safe from such scammers is to promote awareness about such scams and the ways they use to scam new people.
That's not the point, do you even know how doxing works? It doesn't matter if you know or don't know the people, if you have the skills and knack for investigating, you can identify these people depending on your expertise with ease. Also, you haven't watched Jim Browning reveal the faces and names of call center scammers in India. I agree with the raising awareness campaign but if we don't deal with the root of the problem, it will stay a problem nonetheless.

~
A single person won't be able to do anything in such case and there must be a team who would promote awareness regarding such scams on social media platforms. I know that it's easy to say something like that then doing it in actual life, but if some people want to help others to be safe from such malicious people then they only way is to take the step and continue promoting awareness regarding such scams.
I think these campaign have been going on for too long and people aren't listening anymore so I am somewhat in the fence with these one though I agree with it and your solution albeit good intentioned, lacks the firepower to really stop these scammers.
535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to teach older people about bitcoin technology? on: August 19, 2023, 11:50:30 AM
It's not a matter of worth, everyone should have the access to knowledge and we shouldn't weigh in on how eligible they are to know something, if they permit to do so we should be able to give/impart them the knowledge that we have, education should be inclusive and not something that's prejudiced because of age or skin or race or ethnicity or social standing. If you think about it, the right old people that is curious and knows the risk of this technology will be a good help to the bitcoin community, in a PR standpoint, bitcoin will show that it's inclusive and that it's not just the millennials and Gen Z that can benefit from bitcoin but also the older generation.
536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Financial Revolution with Bitcoin and Feasibilities on: August 19, 2023, 09:38:36 AM
I don't know about you OP but I believe that bitcoin is an ongoing revolution because there's still people out there that's not reached by the greatness of decentralization and financial freedom from the current financial institutions and in my book, a revolution is only completed when all the people are finally free and that the current financial institutions doesn't have the stranglehold on the population's financial sovereignty. Or I could be wrong about my own definition and that the creation of bitcoin itself is the revolution and bitcoin is the flag we carry in the frontlines.
537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin does not provide full anonymity on: August 19, 2023, 08:19:58 AM
Bitcoin is commonly referred to as "pseudonymous" rather than fully anonymous. Although transactions are registered on the public blockchain, the connection between wallet addresses and individuals' identities isn't direct. Nevertheless, transactions are traceable and subject to analysis. Additional information can potentially link specific transactions to certain individuals or groups. It's worth mentioning that privacy-improving methods can heighten anonymity while utilizing Bitcoin, yet absolute anonymity isn't an inherent aspect of the protocol.
Those transactions are just addresses of the wallets on them and not the name of the owner of that wallet, the reason that bitcoin transactions can be traced to a person is because they did a transaction on a website that has some sort of KYC policy so some people who transacts in bitcoin gets identified by cyber forensics, still better than using a credit card though, one swipe and they'll know what's your location. If you're really concerned about your privacy then using a bitcoin mixer might help you a lot, it mixes (as the service suggests) your coins with other coins so that the link to your target address is broken.
538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream is coming close. on: August 19, 2023, 06:14:01 AM
Same goal although I don't have a specific timeline, as long as I can accumulate every month no matter how small the amount of sats areI am making progress, hopefully I will be able to get to half a bitcoin in the next 3 years or less, hopefully more money making opportunities come my way so I can shorten the pace of my goal. Got myself some bitcoin already for this current dump coz I got my pay in my day job. This kind of goal is particularly difficult for those that don't have USD as their currency and in the case of my country, most of my money are spent on daily stuff and bills, I'm one of the lucky few that has money leftover after all the bills and necessities are paid for so I am still thankful.
539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SpaceX sold $373M worth Bitcoin, reason of current dump on: August 19, 2023, 04:58:26 AM
Thus is fantastic news, Musk needs to be removed from the ecosystem, or at least not have exposure through his companies.

Ir's an economically troubling time for most economies and has been for people for some time. Now that trouble is spreading up to businesses and corps. Selling bitcoin at 30k? Either SpaceX are struggling to fund a new project or their cash flow is weak - or both.
That's a dream for many for Musk to be out of bitcoin entirely but I remember people were really happy that Musk is in the bitcoin space when his company Tesla bought bitcoins and allowed bitcoins as a payment for their cars, didn't a lot was also happy because he's making the price of bitcoin pump in the last bull run. I think SpaceX is really struggling at funding and you're definitely right, their cash flow is weak iirc they have a rocket that have exploded.

Unfortunately my friend this picture is hanging on my wall. But this picture is part of a series of the same type of pictures. I believe he has 3 left. They all feature different girls with the monero glasses. Just reach out to him by email and he will send you a list of his available works of art.
Yep, figured it as much that it's taken already, pretty cool painting/artwork and thank you for the PM for the other information regarding Sid's artworks and his pricing. I guess my list of stuff to buy will get 1 item longer and I don't mind, really want to own an artwork worth displaying for a really long time.
