542  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why does the halving increase the price? on: December 16, 2023, 03:32:48 PM
- There have been 3 halvings, and in all of them the BTC price was insignificant compared to what it is today. Am I the only one who thinks that it is premature to speak of a pattern when something only happened 3 times before, and in completely different price ranges? Buying 1 BTC was realistic for many people before the first 3 halvings. Now that is no longer the case.

This can be determined on when each everyone of us made the decision on joining the bitcoin network and adopted it use for an investment, some never have that kind of knowledge of making an investment with the purpose of targeting the halving because some years back, many were only having little about the bitcoin knowledge.

- Why would people invest loads of money in BTC after the halving and not before?

Because after halving there comes bullrun and the bitcoin market price rises to a new all time high till it achieved the maximum it could.
543  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Why most Nigerian struggle financially in January on: December 16, 2023, 02:33:38 PM
Most Nigerians struggle financially in January because they spend more  buying new clothes they already have, making more financial expenses on traveling, which some are not really relevant, over spending on food which is even more than a 6 mouth budget. instead of making plans on how to renew house rent store rent paying of school fees by January e.t.c

Why had it always been that people like you will always make use of Nigeria as a case study in things like this, are there no other challenging countries than Nigeria that people are there suffering out of ignorance and personal indecisions, maybe you should even consider a larger numbers of countries that were even below the standard of how an average Nigerian lives and be grateful for once and stop being great fools, missappropriation can happen to anyone in life, stop the castigation on Nigerians or using it as a scape goat for bad manners.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Type of gambling and Intelligence on: December 15, 2023, 06:39:05 PM
Does the type of game you play at a casino or sports you bet on show an individual's level of intelligence or how smart a person is?

No, we are not being intelligent or smart base on the kind of games we played while gambling, but the decisions we take and the choices we make will tell on how smarter and intelligent we are, such could be found with a good example on someone who gambles responsibly and the other person who doesn't, the way we live out life will also be a reflection of the kind of gambler we are, henceforth we should be taking care of the moves and steps we take while gambling.
545  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let Bitcoin Help You Get a Girlfriend (Boyfriend) on: December 15, 2023, 06:01:33 PM
If you're a Bitcoin enthusiast who is single as a Pringle because you're stuck in your apartment reading and keeping up with the latest in the Bitcoin space while helping the community grow and do whatever it is that bitcoiners do.

Or perhaps you've lost your charm, and you're looking for a good pickup line; this new Bitcoin ad will help you find girlfriends (boyfriends) during the upcoming bull run.

I may not be that interested on the ad to that extent because it's not giving the detailed process on how it all happened, but we can always make use of bitcoin related opportunities in finding who our life partner or spouse should be, these is a digital network that comes with diverse areas of applications and regardless of where we finds ourselves on it, we can always take a lifetime advantage from it as such that we find our life partner, things we watch on movie drama were actually what happened in real life before some were being acted.
546  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Is Bitcoin Price Increasing? on: December 15, 2023, 05:33:00 PM
I say it's recovering from its prior losses, no thanks to spacex's sale of their bitcoin holdings for some reason. Add to that the fact that the price of bitcoin is slowly recovering from the anticipation of the people to the upcoming halving for next year as we are coming ever closer to 2024, and you get this slow price increase that we're having right now. It's not enough to push the people's hearts into actually investing, but the movements are more than enough to recover the lost confidence from prior months when the bear market came through.
Yes, I think so, indeed people's confidence in the current movement may be enough to restore their confidence when the market is bearish. But I'm still half anticipating what future price increases will bring.

For now there may not be any reasonable bear that could take us back to anything less than $40,000 till next year halving is completely achieved and we keep moving forward from there onwards, the bitcoin price will always increases because there's always an increase in the bitcoin value, what the people want and appreciate alot will yield an increasing demands and and this alone will cause an increase in price, we should watch out on what next bitcoin all time high may be after this next halving.
547  Economy / Economics / Re: Which do you prefer on: December 15, 2023, 02:49:05 PM
As we grow older, we want stability and that's why no doubt that many are going to choose that stable monthly income from whatever you do. But this time, it's no longer that stability that people want but freedom. The era is changing and owning a business may be hectic at the beginning if you are still on establishing part but once it's already established, it will run on its own and having people will make you earn money without the need for you to allot a lot of time then that goes the tenfolds of profits and at the same time freedom to do anything you want anytime.

Stability could also be achieved when a business blossoms and flourish, we only experience instability when we are doing something that is not yielding the required or adequate result that could be impressive on us, in some regards we are to receive the blame because the lesser we are putting into what we do the poorer it's becomes for us to see it performing well in the economy market, so we should double up if we expect more.
548  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Altcointalk forum go be our second online home? on: December 15, 2023, 02:16:32 PM
This is another opportunity i see to all members in taking the promotions of what we do best to the next level in working this out together with the campaign managers we are under, this will also serve as an advantage on the altcoin forum as well to receive the massive influx of the btt members to ressurect back it's traffic it has always been praying for, life is always full of opportunities, may be it's now time for altcoins forum to also receive a change and move forward henceforth.
549  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can anyone be a Bitcoin speculation expert? on: December 14, 2023, 03:35:59 PM
If by any chance bitcoin goes below 36k or further they would say they were right  about this. I want to know if it is possible for someone to be a bitcoin expert. Like a person who is always right about his/her speculations even if it takes sometime to be confirmed.

Nobody can be confident in what they are speculating about bitcoin and we also cannot boast on it either, if anyone does that them they are lying to you, by default you should know that bitcoin should either rise or fall and there's nothing we can do about that, but the side at which we are supporting is what is being determined by the level of our research while speculating on the market, if people can be that confident in their speculations to be accurate, nobody will be running loss while trading again.
550  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: December 14, 2023, 02:53:54 PM
If we delay our decision, we may change our decision. Maybe now I have enough interest to invest in Bitcoin and I don't have any financial need, I can invest in Bitcoin as easily now as I can in a year but I won't be able to invest in Bitcoin as easily. Maybe within this year I may face some financial problem due to which the money I am trying to save for investment will have to be spent on something else. If I can invest $200 every month then the price of bitcoin is changing every month and I can invest every time the price of bitcoin changes but the risk in my investment is reduced.
I don't think that the decision to invest in Bitcoin should be taken in a hurry because to hold Bitcoin requires more than just investing any money at your disposal. You must make effort to plan your finances in such a way that some funds will be set aside for any emergency that may arise which was not expected, like the "financial need" you stated. If such provisions are not made, even if you adopt the option of investing $200 every month, you will surely sell your assets or some of them when emergency arises. Hence, it is better to think properly and plan well before starting the investment process if longevity of the asset must be assured.

What is required in long term investing is decision making and some risk taking. Overthinking what we invest in can muddy the waters, and muddying the waters can change our investment decisions. As we will hold our investment for a long period of time, a small change in the market will not be a big obstacle for our investment. You are willing to invest and you have money to invest there is no need to delay invest your money in Bitcoin and hold it.
I quite agree with you on the decision aspect but I seem to defer on the risk aspect. Bitcoin seems more risky for short term investors than long term investors. Apart from loss of assets due to hacks and others, holding Bitcoin actually have minimal risk from what we have seen so far.

To sum it all up, bitcoin is the safest cryptocurrency to make an investment upon doesn't mean when we take the wrong routes in doing that we will get be best out in it, we must have in place a proper plan ahead of time on hownwe are engaging with the investment we are making, the duration and the time frame set for it, this is not an avenue jut to do things havazardly, there must be an orderly manners in our bid to make an investment base on our targets plans already in place.

I also learned to understand that mistakes are sometimes unavoidable, but we can do in such a way that we are always at the top of the game each time, there's more to talked about the beauty on bitcoin Investment when things are in accordance, this alone will make us value the asset we have when we are at it again.
551  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: future and option on: December 14, 2023, 01:57:00 PM

552  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many scams have you caught? on: December 14, 2023, 01:22:07 PM
What I want to ask you is how many times have you been caught in a scam project?
And what factors deceived you?
Please share your experience with me so that I can be careful in the world of cryptocurrency.
Thanks.

You're not being direct with your question and this does not go along with being specific, do you mean the campaigns some of us have promoted which turned by to be scam or the scam campaigns we have initiated by ourselves, many people are here on the forum participating in signature campaigns and were taking their time and risk in working for any organizations without knowing if they have the intention of scam or not, what we do here is only to work in promoting their brands and name, you must do your own personal research about how reliable or trusted they appear to be.
553  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The coin mixer advertised here stole my coins on: December 14, 2023, 12:41:47 PM
Someone is coming here to make a scam accusation without knowing anything about the mixer he used, without knowing the required format he should go through in making his application, isn't all these serious enough not to trust OP himself that he's actually the scammer here and not the mixer, mixers has their own rules, if you violate any, you may be in this kind of condition you've already found yourself to be.
554  Economy / Reputation / Re: BlackHatCoiner decided to take a leave from bitcointalk on: December 13, 2023, 08:15:35 PM
Now what happened to his or her account Locked or Deactivate?

You can predict on what may come after people's actions on what they may decide on, don't be surprised that tomorrow you mwy also have a change of mind by leaving and after some time also think about it again for coming back while some may never returned, we have a number of members that have kissed he forum a farewell message and left to to later discover maybe they left somethings behind and they needed to come back again to get them done, while some will never come back again, this has to do with our personal determinations.
555  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How you start a particular journey matters a lot. on: December 13, 2023, 07:42:10 PM
I've read so many threads where people assert that they sold or intend to sell an asset just because they want to invest in Bitcoin, while this might present the person as someone who believes so much in Bitcoin and even went to the extent of selling an asset just to invest into it, is it the right thing to do?

Life is not by force, instead by choice, if you're making an investment, it's either you exchange your fiat currency to bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency of interest, or you wait to accumulate more by earning the desired currency you want, the way we started matters indeed because we don't need to rush in doing somethings in life, we have to follow the due process which is a gradual one, selling an asset is not a bad decision to invest in bitcoin if it's turning to a liability, but a profitable asset may not have to necessarily go for bitcoin to set in, it's a matter of understanding, why you're taking some decisions or not.
556  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do we spam on: December 13, 2023, 06:35:46 PM
So I think that majorly the people that spam mostly is people that is controlling a numerous of account's

Once a person nake a post that is off topic or contains nothing to learn or figure out about, that post should be regarded as spamming, posting indescriminately is termed spamming as well.

Spammers don't have time to control alt accounts, some don't even realized that they are spamming, what they do is the reflection of the way they use their normal daily lives.

558  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why most beginners so much believe bitcoin can make rich on: December 13, 2023, 01:36:44 PM
What make people so much believe that immediately they just buy bitcoin they will become rich, like I was  just thinking about this, if people think the bitcoin you buy will bring more bitcoin just like that.if bitcoin should be something that only brings profits I doubt if it will be still existing today. It would have ended just like other ponzi schemes that placed over the years.

There are many reasons they can acted upon base on what they have heard other people talked about bitcoin, now on the internet, bitcoin is the most trending brand name people were seeking to learn or know about, some have also shared with them how their lives have been changed and renewed with bitcoin Investments they have made in the past, these and many more are what other people got motivated about in seeking their own opportunity also in making money.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: December 12, 2023, 06:31:04 PM
A successful gambler does not have to be an addict while not all addicted gamblers were not being successful, the target is on oneself, how do we see gambling and what are the way we make use of each time we are at it again gambling, we don't also have to always win before being a successful gambler, the way we got satisfied and contempted with gambling style we have adopted is enough to make us successful in gambling.
560  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange withdrawal issues on: December 12, 2023, 05:16:53 PM
Hello
Where can I post issues about problems with withdrawals if the the exchange deals with other crypto then just BTC?
Having issues with a exchange called h5.multi-banks.com
Thier crypto bank has flagged my account as suspicious for arbitrage and says I have to wait a month or two before doing a withdrawal.
I had done several withdrawals to see if I could trust the site. There was also some issues with sending digital crypto to a coinbase crypto that was unsupported

Don't you read about their ToS before signing up for them, isn't this one of the reasons why we always encourages for people to abstain from using a centralized exchange, in your own case it wasn't only with the use of a centralized exchange that matter but an exchange that has no much global recognition, if you violate their rules they will definitely penalized you for doing so, talking about arbitrage trading on it own, am thinking that may be the reason or part of the reasons why your account was suspended if they go against such trading, it's nothing than gambling when you engage on arbitrage trading.
